Question: What will be a good gift for my Aunt and Uncle's wedding? Posted: 15 May 2017 07:01 PM PDT My Uncle is marrying my aunt. Weird isn't it? Mom's brother Uncle Bryce is engaged to Dad's sister, Aunt Megan. The way it was explained to me is it is going to be a small wedding, prob at my Grandfather's house, and just us family are going to attend. There won't even be a reception afterwards, we're just going to go to a nice restaurant. So since there won't be a reception or anything, does that mean that I don't have to get a gift. I'm 18 and I work at CVS and make 8.65/hr. so I can't come real real big. Mom suggested a Family Bible, but that seems kind of lame. What do you all suggest? |

Question: Is a Engagement Ring and Promise Ring the same thing? Posted: 15 May 2017 01:40 PM PDT If it isn't then how do you give it to the partner? Do you just say "here"?? Or do you get down on your knee's and say _____? What goes right there if it is NOT a engagement. Thanks. |
Question: Wedding guest list dilemma regarding work colleagues? Posted: 15 May 2017 12:52 PM PDT My fiancé and are having 150 guests who will spend the entire day with us with no additional night guests. I have one problem though - one of my closest friends is a girl I work with who i am inviting with her husband along with my three team members at work. I work in an office and I know some girls I get on with will complain about not being invited if I don't invite them to my wedding and talk rubbish about me behind my back, is it rude I don't invite other girls from work? I do not spend time with them out of work especially within the past year. Has anyone else had this problem? Any suggestions? |
Question: What does a maid of honor do? Posted: 15 May 2017 12:23 PM PDT I've never been a part of a wedding before. What does a maid of honor do exactly? |
Question: What do you call a ceremony after you've been legally married? Posted: 15 May 2017 12:22 PM PDT My husband and I decided to go to a courthouse and get married soon after meeting each other. We have a wonderful relationship and have talked about having a ceremony to declare our love for each other and so my family can attend as well. What would it be called? I want it to be unique! Any ideas? |
Question: Beach wedding, who pays for plane tickets? Posted: 15 May 2017 11:29 AM PDT I want to have a beach wedding out of the states but do i pay for the plane tickets or the guests do? also, do i only invite close friends and family since the wedding is far away as oppose to invite everyone if i was to have a local wedding? |
Posted: 15 May 2017 08:48 AM PDT "If anyone has reason for these two not to wed, speak now or forever hold your peace." Do they actually take a moment to say that in real life weddings? Or is that just something they say on tv? I mean, gosh, after spending non-refundable 10k-30k on a wedding, they would take an opportunity to call the wedding off? |
Question: If you're under 18, can you be a maid of honor? Posted: 15 May 2017 07:04 AM PDT My 22 yr old daughter is having a very small family wedding. Can she have her 15 yr old sister stand up with her? |
Question: Renting vs buying a tux/suit? Posted: 15 May 2017 06:49 AM PDT Which would be cheaper? Also does color/size play a role in price? My fiancé wants to buy a white tux/suit (which I have no problem with) And I'm trying to figure out how much it would cost so I can figure up my food budget. I live in northeastern Oklahoma if that helps any. |
Question: So my fiance and I have agreed we want to get married in a year from now? Posted: 15 May 2017 01:04 AM PDT He wants a summer time beach wedding and I'm all for that. But right now I want to take a year and enjoy being engaged and work on ourselves financially. Anyway we decided we want to get married next year probably June or July. I've never been married so idk how the planning works. What do we do first? |
Question: Is there any chance I can get brother to wait while to get married? Posted: 15 May 2017 12:46 AM PDT My younger brother. Bryce, is 23 (almost 24) years old a He is engaged to my sister-in-law who just turned 22 in a few weeks ago. They met some time ago, but both were dating other people and in college in different states, so nothing became of it. They were paired as groomsman and bride's maid at our wedding last June and she says our wedding was our first date. I got back from the honeymoon, not even knowing they were dating and they were a full-blown couple at that point. In August my brother left for Navy boot camp. Between June and August they saw a lot of each other as you might expect with a new couple who will be separated very shortly. He has had three leaves in that period of time, the last one is this week. He arrived home on Friday, and they were not engaged when we met him at the airport. But Sunday she was wearing an engagement ring and announced their engagement for the first time in our Sunday School. Next Wed. he shoves off for nine months. He anticipates getting leave immediately after returning and they will be married then in a simple service the day after he returns. They have only been physically in the same place at the same time for ten weeks, plus a few weekends when she flew out to meet him since he finished his specialized training (which might put it at 11 weeks total.) My brother has never seriously dated anyone before this except for one girl when he was in college, which ended abruptly. |
Question: My fiance hates white people but wants to marry me? Posted: 14 May 2017 02:34 PM PDT My boyfriend Quincy is great to me. We met at my previous job (we used to work together I left and he's still there). He treats me well and makes me feel special. I met his family and although they didn't really like me at first, they warmed up to me. My family adores him and are not racist. I found out that my boyfriend has been cheating on me. He says on social media that I'm his "main chick" and he's interested in seeing his different "joints". He has been cheating on me with black women all the time. He's good to me but unfaithful. He even said he can sleep with and date a white girl but he'll never marry one instead he'll marry a black girl. I was very hurt. He said he dated different white girls as in payback for slavery. He's never been a slave. He says he's avenging what his ancestors went through. He says he'd like to own whites so they can understand what blacks went through. That made me cry, I feel he's using me in a way. I think mixed babies are gorgeous. I really love him but I hate how ignorant he is. I'm 27 he's 34. What should I do? How would he feel if I said something like that about black people when our future children will be considered black? No rude comments please! |
