Hello and sorry for the rant if it seems long. I do almost everything for my family and gf. Like I help pay bills and everything. I ve even missed my dream job offers on more than one occasion. I also support my gf because she was in college finishing up her 4 year for doctors degree and in all of this, trying to still achieve what I want in life. I ve never been a push over but I do try to help the ones I love. I just couldn t take it anymore after years of frustration of complaining and trying to tell them how to be better to want more and no1 listened to me and always ignore me except my GF who tries to but isn t good but always try to put in the effort even though I hurt her feelings when I vent. But now that I stopped caring for other people s life and focus of my own or don t do this or that, I m the bad guy. I just don t wanna live pay check to pay check and want more for myself in life. Now my gf isn t always the best either as she s made it hard on multiple occasions of not trying to make my life any harder but still does and now I just feel distant from my family and it s kinda in my relationship now we re I care but I feel like no one really cares for me or tries to actually help me for such a long to do what I want. Am I wrong for flipping the switch and what advise can be given from you guys. I don t like normally asking for help but I m trying to open up as best I can because I ve experienced so much bad in the world that I just wish to be able to enjoy life?

Help me win an argument. My wife intends to gain full custody of her son. She believes that keeping the father unaware of her intentions will help her with the case. She thinks that having "the element of surprise" will help her by not giving the father the opportunity to build his defense. I tried to suggest that there may be a flaw in her plan. I have little knowledge when it comes to law but common sense tells me that 1. The father may be able to ask for time to build his defense and 2. The thought of leaving him hurts because I love him so much! He is my best friend. For a year now our relationship has been wonderful.
