Question: Would I come across as creepy? Posted: 15 May 2017 05:11 PM PDT I am at a new school and I wanna be friends with a girl in my class she seem cool (I m a girl as well) so I thought I might tell her that I like her haircut and want to get a similar one. But would it be weird to randomly say that? |
Question: Is this a valid argument? Posted: 15 May 2017 04:31 PM PDT So I recently had to move back home as a 20 something, and my stepdad very recently became unemployed. Anyway, I try to help around the house by washing the dishes, doing random chores, etc. Today my stepdad and mom were leaving to the store and I wasn't going with them. My stepdad (who I've know for ten years and lived with before, nothing new) said right before they left that he was going to vacuum the downstairs when he got home. My mom instantly shoved it on me, which is fine because nobody's going to make her to it since she works her butt off all the time. Fine. BUT she did that before I could get a word in edgewise, which was going to be that I was going to offer to vacuum the whole house tomorrow (I was having heartburn and I have never wanted to tell them I have it, looooong story). So I offered that after my mom foisted the responsibility on me, and my stepdad got kind of mad and said "either pitch in today or I'll do it." I don't see the point in getting mad when it was a fair compromise (he wouldn't have to lift a finger!) and it's not like we were having anyone over to see the carpet. How is it suddenly my problem that has to be done RIGHT NOW? Does this make sense or am I in the wrong? I don't need to be told I'm a whiny kid, you don't know the whole story, thanks. Is this a valid argument? BY THE WAY I DIDN'T ACTUALLY ARGUE WITH HIM (I never said any of this to him), AND I DID IT ANYWAY. |
Question: Comeback to when someone says you play dirty? Posted: 15 May 2017 04:22 PM PDT I'm in the middle of an argument (playful tho) with someone and they said they learned from me how to play dirty and idk what to reply |
Question: My friend is cutting herself? Posted: 15 May 2017 04:03 PM PDT I saw it today at lunch, I didn't say anything about it bacause I didnt know what to do. Help. |
Question: Will she talk to me in the future?? Posted: 15 May 2017 03:52 PM PDT I'm a dude, and a few years back I became friends with a girl. We became like bestfriends, but exactly 3 months ago we had a fight. She came to my apartment To speak in person, she needed something cleared up because she thought I had lied to her. I was explaining but she just walked away, I slightly held her for 40 seconds so that I could explain. Later she sent me a text and told me to never speak to her again. that apparently I made a big mistake by not letting her leave, and that she was also abused In the past. She blocked me soo I decided to write her 2 long apology letters, and I sent her a teddy bear but she went to the police. The police asked me to leave her alone or I can get in trouble, ( but I don't have a restraining order.) I know it's stupid to ask but do you think she will ever Come back???? when she lost her job, I helped her buy her first car. And we always helped each other with everything but now we haven't talked in 3 months :( |
Question: How to get rid of a bad friend without losing my others? Posted: 15 May 2017 03:51 PM PDT Ok so I have this friend who has always been rude to me. She tells my other best friends stuff and is always leaving me out. I'm getting really tired of it. She always picks fights with me and criticizes me, I have been putting up with this for a long time. My other friends have been my friends for my entire life. And they talk about how she is rude to them too and how they want to stop being friends with her... but they always act like nothing is wrong and go back to being friends with her. One of my friends said she wished she would ditch us so we don't have to deal with her! But she keeps going back to normal... I want to get rid of her or at least make her a better friend, and idk how to get rid of her and still keep my other friends! She tells my other friends things and won't tell me. She also tries to exclude me. And she gets mad when my other friends spend time with me instead of her! Please help. |

Question: How to deal with mean girls? Posted: 15 May 2017 03:14 PM PDT Alright, this girl has been bullying me since 6th grade, but I'm not going to get into all detail. I'll just say what happened today. So the mean girl cuts ela class by spending time on her phone in the bathroom half the class. So my teacher asks me to go and tell her to come back to class, and before I went I told her I saw her going on her phone and wandering the hall after I dropped down attendance. Then, we had a fire drill and she comes up to me with her friends. Me: Um, can I help you? Her: You had no right to tell (my teacher) that I was wandering the halls this morning during ela Me: *rolls eyes* whatever, he asked me to get you back to class anyway, you can't cut. (Or something like that) she rolled her eyes, called me a b and went away. Like, why?! I never done anything to her, she also threatened me once by saying she knows where I live and blah blah. This is pretty much a daily thing. All my friends hate her too, and I've reported her many times. Reporting obviously isn't making her stop, and I don't want to fight her (because as a black belt in karate I could seriously hurt her plus being suspended on my record wouldn't look good for getting my dream job at NASA.) thanks lovies!! |
Question: How do I convince my parents to get another horse? Posted: 15 May 2017 03:05 PM PDT I currently have one horse (Wyatt) A few months ago one of our horses passed away, and Wyatt hasn't been acting himself since then. He seems lonely. I've begged my parents to get him a new friend but they won't budge. How can I convince them? |
Question: Girl at work never eats? Posted: 15 May 2017 02:33 PM PDT I'm worried about a girl I work with. She put on lots of weight quickly a few months ago after she had come back from a holiday and a group of us had some banter and said she looked fat and had put on weight especially in her face. She has now lost so much weight and I never see her eat anything. She's very pale and her face looks gaunt. She's complaining of feeling dizzy and sick a lot too and when she walked past me the other day I poked her and was so shocked I could feel all her ribs. I said to her she never used to be like that and then she said she started to lose weight as we all thought she was fat. I'm really worried she's anorexic because she's so so thin and her trousers keep falling down. What can I do to make it better? She's only 19 and I feel partly responsible for this. |
Question: Am I wrong for being mad? Posted: 15 May 2017 02:22 PM PDT Me and a friend are going to a concert. I was in my feelings the other day and I said I don't want to go. She showed me a video of the band and I was like whatever. She said "Why don't you just sell your ticket?' I said fine and she's like "Yeah right" Cause we both know that I still want to go. She clearly said she doesn't believe me that I'm selling it. Good because I wasn't. Next thing you know she offered my ticket to her other friend and told her I'm selling it. So now I am. My whole thing is, if we both knew I wasn't serious why would you do that? I'm going to sell her the ticket and just get new, better seats. |
Question: This girl punching me and saying im her friend? Posted: 15 May 2017 02:11 PM PDT This girl who i sit by (im a girl by the way) keeps punching me very hard( sometimes she tries to make me flinch by waving her fist very close to my face) and saying im her friend. Sometimes i try to ignore her and she says that she is sorry and that she will stop, but she never does. I ignored her for a long time once and she kept bothering me and calling me rude. Recently i sat beside her in 3rd period social studies because im kind of anti-social and dont really have any friends in that class. So when we got to choose our seats i sat beside her. Im really regreting my descision. Today i was reaching down for something and she punched my head very hard and it kinda ruined the rest of my day. So i really just want advice of what i should do. We only have two weeks of school left, so should i just wait until summer then just completly ignore her next year? Or should i tell a teacher and change seats in social studies class? If you have any suggestions i would love to hear it. |
Question: Are they trying to ignore me? Posted: 15 May 2017 01:50 PM PDT I feel like everybody to a certain extent ignores me. People like me and talk to me, but nobody will go out of their way to save a seat for me and nobody will notice that I'm gone if I'm sick. If I'm the first to sit down at a table hen everybody else will just pick a table themselves and sit down so that I have to move over to them. In a group I can never get a word in. |
Question: Why is my mom such a retard?!? Posted: 15 May 2017 01:36 PM PDT Okay so i asked if i can go to my friends house and she said yes. And she went to the bathroom , So i waited out side the door cause i needed to ask a question, And her phone rang. It was an 800 number and she tells me not to answer those. So i didn't. And she came out of the bathroom and checked her phone and said "OH MY GOD, YOU DIDNT HEAR MY PHONE RING?!" I said "Yea but you tell me not to answer those" And then she got all mad and then said i cant go to her house cause im inconveniencing them and i cant just go live there. Im like WTF?! Where did that come from?!?!?!?!?. And so i had to call her and say i cant go to her house. And my friend got mad cause their not busy and they would be more than happy to let me over. And so i tried telling my mom its just more of an inconvenience to say yes and then say no five minutes later cause they were expecting me over. And she says im over too much and im inconveniencing them, And she says i do nothing around the house (Which is not true cause SHES the one that does nothing). And so im just like Wtff?! And my mom said that shes just throwing me onto them all the time. And im like, Um no? I go to their house 1nce or 2wice a week. And they love having me over. And i cant even say that because she tells me to shut up and interrupts me and never lets me speak. So what the heck is wrong with her?! My friend and I were SO happy that i could go over and she just ruined it. And she always does this. And she says no for NO REASON. I don't give a crap if she can cause shes my mom. She wouldn't like it if i said she cant go hang out with her friends on saturday nights for no reason. So why is she randomly doing this?! |
Question: How to hold out in school for 2 more years? Posted: 15 May 2017 01:29 PM PDT I've only been interested in 2 major things games and books. Now because most girls don't play games(Some do but literally no girl in my class does) and reading books is considered 'lame' I don't have anything to talk to people about my mind just goes blank and the fact that I'm a bit shy doesn't help either so that results in a lot of silence. My friend has also replaced me with another girl because I'm that quiet. I have no trouble with talking with people behind a screen for some reason. The only person that I can talk normally with is my brother but that's because we basically like the same stuff. All the girls in my clique talk about is boys and stuff but I couldn't give less shits about that. I also don't know that many people so if my friend group abandones me I have nowhere else to go. I still have 2 years left in this school and I honestly don't know how much longer I can go on. All my actual friends are on the internet and they're the only ones who have been keeping me going. Back in primary school I didn't have this problem people actually liked me but I just forgot how to keep up a conversation and come up with topics to talk about. Anyone got any ideas how to hold out? |

Question: Why did she unblock me? Posted: 15 May 2017 01:19 PM PDT About 3 months ago my friend got really mad at me. She told me she didn't want to ever speak to me again. I kept trying to contact her but she went to the police. I was asked to leave her alone and she even blocked me from everything. Today I noticed that I have been unblocked on her Whatsapp account because I can see her profile picture, and also the last time she was available. A few weeks ago I could not see her WhatsApp notifications. Could this be a good sign or something?? Any advice?? |
Question: How to make friends with an older person in your workplace? Posted: 15 May 2017 01:10 PM PDT I'm 24 and there's a lady in a different department in my job that I feel I really click with. She's probably about 10 years older than me and I'm finding it hard to figure out how to become friends with her, it's quite hard to make friends outside of school/college and I don't want to seem weird to her either. Any help greatly appreciated! |
Question: My friend Ian being really selfish towards me? Posted: 15 May 2017 12:50 PM PDT she lives about 70 miles away, an hour on the train and I've just had no money , I did promise I would see her after Christmas but I have just been completely skint and had absolutely no money, I'm having problems with the neighbours and now my mum is ill she's been taken into hospital her kidneys are damaged and she has dementia. I've had to try and sell my guitar I've been that skint to pay for bills. But every time I speak to my friend she keeps asking me when I'm seeing her, that's all she thinks about. She keeps pestering me ''When are you coming to see me?'' And she says ''I'll buy u the ticket'' And she keeps asking me how long it'll be till my mums better so I can come and see her, it'sall she talks about, and she says things like ''I want to see you I miss you can do you promise you'll come and see me soon'' What do I say?? |
Question: Please help? Boyfriends Mum!?!? Posted: 15 May 2017 12:46 PM PDT I deleted my boyfriends mum on Facebook because I didn t want to see the posts she shared (they were like indirect rude posts, clearly about me) and it upset me so I unfriended her. I just found out she has now blocked me; do you think that s necessary of her? I don t get along with her ever, but I m not rude to her, I just keep my distance because she is always talking about me behind my back saying horrible things. She always tells people I m starting a drama ? Just because I basically don t involve myself with her life, but i feel like she s starting the drama by blocking me, she was already unfriended purely because she was upsetting me but I feel like she almost trying to get attention by blocking me? I know she is probably trying to get a reaction out of me, which she is, but it s just because I m always having to deal with her being rude about me all the time and it s not fair that she s the one causing extra drama ..what s your opinions? Thanks :) |
Question: Is it normal for me to masturbate to pictures of my step brother ? Posted: 15 May 2017 12:28 PM PDT I'm 15(girl). I sometimes masturbate to pictues of my step brother. He's hot. When I'm doing it, I fantasize about us having sex or making out... Is that normal ? He's 15, too. (I don't flirt with him or signal him anything, but I have a crush on him.) Pls no mean answers ;/ I don't care about religious or "moral" viewpoints. |
Question: Can friendship lead to true love? Posted: 15 May 2017 12:28 PM PDT I'm curious on what some people in this section believe about friendship. So can it? |
Question: 4 months at new school and still no friends? Posted: 15 May 2017 12:24 PM PDT I moved from a small town with a highschool that had like 800 kids to a bustling city with a highschool that has over 2,000 students. I have no friends. Literally. No aquantinces either. I just sit alone all the time and I can barely strike up a conversation with anybody. I've had people invite me to sit with them and stuff (and I still hate myself for this) but, I never did. The school has a new student club for people to meet new people, but I just felt like a burden to the people I had my lunch period with so I stopped going. I did have friends on the bus, but they slowly stopped talking to me because I'm just naturally quiet. Now I talk to no one. I told my parents, but all they said was to strike up a conversation with someone. I'm socially awkward for that. So I lie and tell them I do talk to people, because I don't want them to constantly nag about it. Even if I were to do that, it's to late now. Everybody probably already sees me as the weird girl who sits alone. So do you have any advice? |
Question: I feel like my friend doesn't care as much as I do? Posted: 15 May 2017 12:18 PM PDT I have this friend and we've been becoming close friends..but I feel like sometimes she doesn't put the amount of effort as I do in our friendship. I realized that I'm always the one who asks to hangout first and invite her over to my house or come up with plans. She's always happy to agree to my plans but she never once asked me first to hangout. She also treats me like trash and not like we're good friends when we're with other people. I was really happy that we were becoming close, but if she doesn't even put effort or even at least pretend to care about our friendship, should I even care as much as I do? |
Question: I accidentally hit my crush in the balls :( ? What should I do ?Pls answer? Posted: 15 May 2017 12:17 PM PDT We are 14. Thankfully not many people saw that. It was after PE. My friend was there and we were just hitting baseballs from one side of the room to another. He suddenly walked out and the ball hit him right in the sack. He fell down in pain. I ran to him and said sorry so many times. I hugged him and after 5 minutes, he got up and left. He has flirted with me before and maybe even liked me. I don't know if he will hate me for it. I messaged him an apology on facebook ;/ |
Question: Everyone thinks and says I'm "crazy"? Posted: 15 May 2017 11:48 AM PDT Okay, I don't know, but it didn't used to bother me, but for some reason, now it has me wondering, "Am I crazy?" What exactly is "crazy"? Okay, let me tell you a bit about what is going on. I am a mother of two beautiful children who is self-employed. I take care of my own basically. The only thing is that I barely have any friends and most of my family doesn't have anything to do with me. They all say, "(my name), you're crazy, that's why you have no friends!" I don't exactly know how they are getting that "I'm crazy"..... I mean, I haven't done anything to make anyone think I'm "crazy" I don't do drugs, I just eat, sleep, take care of my kids, and work, I'm about as "normal" as it gets! So, I don't know. this all started when I was a teenager when I used to do drugs and some other rebellious things but I've grown out of that behavior! I'm a woman now. I feel like I have to constantly deny their claims that I'm crazy. I don't know, maybe I should just start "playing along"? For example, the other day, I was talking about how my ex-husband was over at my house and he was saying things like, "You make me feel crazy, this is why were not together" I told this to one of my family members and they said, "well, that's because you are". And I said, "well, what do you mean by that?" and they were like, "well, everyone knows you're crazy that's why no one wants to be around you." I mean, what the hell? I don't really talk about anything but regular events on t.v., what's going on with my kids, and my job. Granted, I've been through a lot. I lost my mom, grandpa, two best friends, and grandmother all within 5 years, found out my husband had been cheating on me, so....yeah and got divorced, so I did develop a bit of "anxiety and depression from all of it", but it isn't my fault that these things happened to me and I know this, but yet and still.....I'm crazy? Well, all I know is that I am *lonely* and it's really starting to get to me. I don't know anyone else except for those people who already have negative opinions of me. It's like someone can do the exact same thing as me or say the same thing, but when I say or do something that is (a bit unperfect), it's horrible. So, I guess I really am crazy, huh? |
Question: I can t deal with my friends anymore? Posted: 15 May 2017 11:33 AM PDT They are so gullible, they vape, and do weed. Keep in mind we are thirteen. All they do is flirt with shady people so they can get "****** raw" and would actually do anything like ANYTHING for attention. I m not like that at all and I m so sick of this but I can t make other friends. |
Posted: 15 May 2017 11:04 AM PDT I was taught to "dress how you want to be addressed". With that being said, when ladies wear certain clothing or outfits they get upset that guys approach them. I don't like body shamming and not being able to wear what you want. But I just don't get this |

Question: Did I do the right thing with my co worker? Posted: 15 May 2017 10:28 AM PDT I am a guy intern at a company. My good friend Ann is also an intern at the company. One day Ann's mom came buy to pick her up from work and Ann introduced me to her mom. We had a brief conversation before they left. Ann's mom seemed to me to be a very nice person. The next day a work Ann asked me if I saw anything unusual about her mom. I did. Her mom had the biggest boobs I had ever seen. However there was no way I was going to say that to Ann. I just said "your mom is unusually beautiful". I though I had dodged a bullet by not saying anything about her mom's boobs. Giving this more thought I think Ann wanted me to say something about her mom's unusual boob size. But what could I say? Did I do the right thing to not comment about boob size? |

Question: Could this be a good sign. Any advice? Posted: 15 May 2017 09:46 AM PDT 'm 22 and around the beginning on March I had a falling out with my bestfriend. Question: What is a this? yo-yo friendship? Posted: 15 May 2017 09:06 AM PDT I have a friend who at times doesn't give me the time of the day and other times she wants to be my best friend. Question: I think i can read what people are thinking.? Posted: 15 May 2017 08:57 AM PDT Now im not saying i can be in their mind, like Edward in twilight, but i can read and guess what they are thinking. There is only a few people i can actually know what they are thinking. I've been told by people that I'm very easy to talk to and they can tell me their problems really easily. But lately I've figured out that the more my friends tell me their problems the more it messes with me inside and makes me feel their problems, like its happening to me. My friend is experiencing a situation with her father, that I dont want to say, but last night I could tell when he was doing it to her and we were texting. I get very in-tuned to people's moods and feeling. I've considered being a psychologist, but I dont think I can handle it. And I can answer my friends questions before they ask. We were making cookies and i told my friend to get butter. And then I said "Yah, a whole stick." and she was like " I was just about to ask that." Another time we were lying in bed and I said " Mmm. Muffins" and my friend was like " Woh, I was just thinking about muffins." and so I started naming them off.. I said banana nut, raisin and another one i can't remember. She said she was thinking of them in the same order. This is how it works.. I have this voice in my head that tells me to say something out loud and then it ends up being what people are thinking. But its not strong enough to do it when I want to, it just does it by itself. Please just don't give me a response like your crazy or something like that. Question: Why can't you touch royalty? Posted: 15 May 2017 08:43 AM PDT Aarently awhile back Michelle Obama hugged the queen and it was a big to do about it. I've seen photos of Prince William and Harry hugging/holding kids and letting people(mostly teenage girls I think) touch them. What's so bad about it? Pardon my ignorance I'm not familiar with royalty. |
Question: How do you comfort a friend whose dad died? Posted: 15 May 2017 08:40 AM PDT one of my best friends dad died today and I dont know how to approach him about it. Do I try to change the subject and make him laugh? Say comforting words? Take him somewhere to get his mind off of things or just leave him to grieve for a while? |
Question: Should I cut my best friend off? Posted: 15 May 2017 08:09 AM PDT I ve been friends with her for 5 years. Lately for about a year I ve noticed she s been kinda different. She thinks she s higher than me because she has a job owns a car and I don t . She chooses her boyfriend over me and is constantly jealous of my other friends. I m so tired of her putting me down and not taking me seriously or supporting me when I m depressed. I ve always been there for her and so has my family. So is it bad that I cut her off? |

Posted: 15 May 2017 07:56 AM PDT I feel my friends and co-workers have distanced themselves away from me. Co-workers are making my life impossible if I start ignoring them. I no longer feel joy from getting into med school. Instead I feel trapped and sad. |
Question: What is the punishment for back biting? Posted: 15 May 2017 07:25 AM PDT Also, what do you do when the people you hang out with tend to backbite? Almost everyone I know at school does so. I largely remain quiet, because when I do say something, my friends think that I'm trying to defend other people and going against them. My friends are generally not immoral, but when it comes to backbiting, they have no sense of morality. How would you deal with these people? |
Question: Question of foreign contacts in sf86? Posted: 15 May 2017 07:14 AM PDT In the question: Do you have or have you had close and/or continuing contact with foreign nationals within the last 7 years with whom you, your spouse, or your cohabitant are bound by affection, influence, or obligation? I am not sure who to include in this. If I had a gf who wasn't a citizen, and we never lived together, and all of our communications were in the US, should she be listed? Should I list friends who I might talk to every now and then online who aren't citizens? I'm just not sure to what extent "bound by influence or obligation" should mean. Any advice? |
Question: Is this a bad relationship with my teacher? Posted: 15 May 2017 06:02 AM PDT So my old English teacher recently left school to have a baby and we're having a substitute for the rest of the year (I'm @ school in Australia). He's been here since the beginning of this term (6 weeks) and him and I have become pretty close (as in friendship close). We're pretty close in age (he is 25 and I'm 17), and I know the only feelings I have for him are platonic but we are becoming pretty decent friends. We have so much to talk about and he's really interesting to talk to, unlike a lot of kids at my school. It started a week after he arrived when I had a question about a mark I got on my essay and we got talking and now we've come to where we are today. I don't see why there would be anything wrong if it's purely platonic, but legally can you be friends with your teacher? Please help! Oh and it's not like we hang out outside of school grounds or anything, just sometimes during lunch break or after school on school grounds. |
Question: Did my friend unblock me? Posted: 15 May 2017 05:55 AM PDT I had a fight with my friend a few months ago and everything ended really bad. She blocked me from everything, but I noticed today that I am able to see her Whatsapp profile picture. And it also shows she was "last seen yesterday ". Did she unblock me?? I remember a few weeks ago I couldn't see her picture |
Question: How to apologize to a friend I've been mean to for years.? Posted: 15 May 2017 05:34 AM PDT For the last 2 years I have been very toxic to my best friend of 5 years. It all started when he moved away and I always though he was going to cut me off. I Began becoming so toxic to him with everything he does thinking he was going to leave and really toxic when he got a girlfriend. The last 4-5 months though I have been getting a lot better and we barely fight anymore. Somehow he stayed with me through the whole 2 years of me being mean and I don't know how to apologize and thank him for staying. I have already told him thanks and sorry but I don't think that's enough. |

Question: I'm annoyed my roommate does not speak at all, then gossiped about me? Posted: 15 May 2017 05:25 AM PDT Idk if she is introverted or has something against me. We only share the living room and she moved into the apartment like 9 months ago. We say only say hi. It started to annoy me that she would just not speak to me at all. It honestly gave me paranoia that she was talking about me to her family bc that's what passive aggressive people do. I left the sink pretty dirty for a while because I was really busy with school. One day she threw all the dishes into a cardboard box. I overheard her talking with her mom on the phone, and she whispered (but I could still hear her) that I had said I would do the dishes but didn't yet (I had exams). Idk what else she said, but clearly she was gossiping about me behind my back about how dirty I was without ever even telling me it bothered her! What am I supposed to do about this? I was honestly concerned about what she was saying to her family and if her parents were going to do something crazy like talk to the landlord when nothing was ever said to me!! What is her issue? |
Posted: 15 May 2017 04:55 AM PDT It's about accusing me of having anxiety disorder at work And my anxiey is spreading. I told her it wasn't true and I been avoiding her and ignoring text message. But she keeps telling coworkers that my anxiety is contiguous. She complaining a lot. I stay away from her. I don't know what to do? I did what was suggestion by ignoring it. It's not working. |
Question: Everyone at college makes me feel inferior? Posted: 15 May 2017 04:34 AM PDT This only started happening last week. Maybe its jealousy but i doubt it. My mum says I'm starting to look a lot like my sister who is considered pretty and she has a really feminine face. She told me that my facial features have got more feminine aswell lately. When I look at myself in the mirror I can't see my sister but I do think my features have turned really feminine lately In the past few weeks when I go out now I have people smiling at me or just making eye contact. There was a bloke eying me up apparently (even tho I'm lesbian ha) so I guess people now think I look straight. Before everyone could tell I was gay The attention I've been getting has made me feel good, and for the 1st time in nearly 4 yrs I have confidence again So why are people at college suddenly taking the piss out of me? They copy things I say, make personal comments about my looks (yuck you have bad eyebrows) and treat me like I'm thick Now I just feel hideous again. I don't know if they think I've got better looking and are jealous or have I got really ugly? |

Question: How to find passion and succeed at life? Posted: 15 May 2017 01:11 AM PDT So it seems that all of my friends are succeeding at life. To me, succeeding at life is doing something that you love and have passion for and they're doing just that. One of my friends was recently casted by an acting agency and is starring in a movie. Another friend of mine is traveling to another country to participate in a big science competition. And another friend of mine is a professional athlete! That's only naming a few, and trust me, I do not have a shortage of incredible friends. Of course I'm very proud of my friends and am happy for them, but I can't help but be saddened by their success because I wonder why I seem to be lacking of it. Their success often makes me feel bad about myself, especially when I see videos and photos of them living their incredible lives. I feel like the main protagonists' friend who lacks amazing powers and exhiliarating traits. I don't mind playing the supporting role since I love my friends, I just wish that sometimes I was the main character. I know that some people will tell me to just go after my dreams and my passions but the problem is I don't have any. I'm not sure what I want but I know that I want something. I don't have passion for any activities, I do enjoy some but I don't have a passion for any of them. And honestly, this has just made it harder for me to go after that life I long for. How do you chase something you can't see? I'm just so confused as to what to do with my life. Any advice? |
Question: How do I move past the sad feeling of transferring to a new College? Posted: 14 May 2017 11:50 PM PDT I decided to transfer to a new college after I was rejected from the major that I wanted to get into. Safe to say, I knew I wasn't going to get in but it was worth a try. The thing is, had I had known I was going to transfer last year, I would've been excited and jumping for joy, but now I can't stop crying. I thought I was miserable at my University, but the past two years here have honestly been some of the best days of my life. I went to my first music concert/festival in my 20 years of existing, was able to hang out with people without having to ask my parents, got to explore a city that I didn't grow up in better than the one I've lived in for 20 years, and just had so many more opportunities that I didn't have back home. I think what hurts the most is that I made friends who I connected with to the point that it felt like I've known them since I was a child. In fact, I spent the last week with them, because I knew I would probably never see them again. The thought of leaving and never seeing them again..hurts so much. Do any of you guys have any advice on how to deal with these feelings. I don't want my parents to question why I'm so sad about when leaving when they knew I wanted to leave freshman year. I know I just need to time to readjust, but I'll just miss this opportunity that I had, that'll soon be gone. |

Posted: 14 May 2017 09:58 PM PDT I really like this girl who is my best friend, and I am hers. I keep hoping that we can be together, but I know that nothing will ever happen, or if it does, it will end and ruin the friendship, which is really depressing. I see her every day at school and text her frequently, so we talk alot. |
Question: Is it weird to be naked with friends? Posted: 14 May 2017 09:38 PM PDT A few years back, a few friends and I went swimming in a lake in northern Maine, a rural town. After we took off our swim trunks and hung them on a fence to dry. We then played lacrosse naked. Is this weird? We aren't gay and don't get any boners. We were 14 when we started to do it last year. We are now 15 and still do it and have fun. |
Question: Should I do Band or Cross Country/Track? Posted: 14 May 2017 09:28 PM PDT So I ve been doing band for 2 years and have gotten very good. Many band directors are telling g me that it would only make sense to do band. However, I m good at running and did it before. I have friends telling me I should do it, along with my sister and her teammates. Band is really fun but takes up a lot of time. I really want to raise my grades and be in clubs because college is something to start thinking about. If I do running I can focus on other things like Eagle scout, service hours, music, and grades. However, if I do band I m just focusing on music and trying to finish homework. We had a concert recently and I had 3 solos, and 2 band directors were telling me how I should do it, especially since I was complimented by the director. It s worth noting that I will probably lose friends if I do band and don t have that many friends in band. There are also some kids who do bad things in band. This is just a really tough decision and I really need help asap since I ve to decide soon. I ve been telling people I m going to do running but after the concert, I m not so sure. Anyway, I hope you can help |
Question: How would you describe this type of person right here? Posted: 14 May 2017 09:28 PM PDT A person who comes across as very nice, can woah just about everyone with their personality. Comes across as a legit person and does good things for you. Underneath all that though, they're shady, they'll screw you in someway or another under the table, and aside from the nice persona they angry and violent outbursts from time to time. Answers? |
