Question: GUYS would it be ok to shove my friends face into his birthday cake? Posted: 17 May 2017 05:50 PM PDT We aren't super closer but know a lot about not each other. We aren't super close bc we graduated last year And most of our friendship is texting. He's always been there for me though, sent me a nice happy bday message, FaceTimed, snap chatted. We're good friend but we only hung out once outside of school And it was with my best friend (I invited him) I was thinking of texting him and saying: hey thomas! I have a present for you so meet me at the coffee shop tomorrow (: anyways I would bring my best friend and I would meet him at the coffee shop and bring him the cake and while I'm giving him his present my best friend would break up behind him and shove The cake up in his face I just want to make sure it's appropriate and he won't get upset. Then I will offer him napkins and a coffe after (: |
Question: What would you call this situation? Posted: 17 May 2017 05:48 PM PDT My friend always keeps tabs on the classes that I take and what grade I have in the class. I found out the other day that my friend calculates my GPA (and I don't even calculate my own GPA). Also, my friend always checks up on the progress I've made on projects. This is really annoying to me because it's obvious my friend is using me to compare themselves. |
Posted: 17 May 2017 05:38 PM PDT He won't leave me alone and I can't stand him I don't want to talk about it so I just want my actions to do the talking |

Question: Polite way to say that you don't want to be friends with someone? Posted: 17 May 2017 05:23 PM PDT Plz hear me out. So I've been pretending to be this persons friend since middle school and I'm almost a senior in high school. She genuinely thinks I like her but I don't and never really did, I was just desperate at the time so I resorted to an asshole. An example of her assholeness is when this girl that she doesn't like but is really nice asked to sit with us at lunch, and she said no. There are many other rude **** she has done to others and even once to me. I'm a very unconfrontational person, so I don't know how to do this for someone I knew for about 4 years. PLEASE HELP and don't bother saying stupid **** like "just tell her" bc no that's not what I'm asking. Thanks to anyone who hears me out :) |
Posted: 17 May 2017 05:19 PM PDT I told her "Is this (her name) for real?" they bullied me because I've never heard of you" and she said "yes it is, then they're really stupid. tell them that I don't like them bullying you" |
Question: How to feel proud of your achievements, on your own? Posted: 17 May 2017 05:15 PM PDT I recently started a plan towards healing and recovering from some personal hardships, life-long personal hindrance, and I have a problem with needing constant validation and reassurance from people. Before, when I did things that were good, I really needed to tell everyone I could so that I could feel happy, but I want to stop doing that, and I want to be able to be proud of things privately, so that I can stop taking it personally when people don t "respond the way I want them to". How do you feel proud of your achievements without telling everyone about them? |
Posted: 17 May 2017 04:58 PM PDT I am a very antisocial person. I only have two friends. I am very close to them. We call each other's moms Mom, and we go on vacations with each other's families. One of them recently started hanging out with somebody that she knows I hate. Sometimes I save a spot at lunch for her, and when she comes into the cafeteria she waves at me and I wave back, but then realize that the girl is sitting at the table behind me. I tried to confront her, but she just kept walking. I know, I have another friend. But, that friend is also ignoring me and hanging out with that jerk. They won't answer my texts. They won't even respond to me. They avoid me at all costs, even going out of their way to go to the furthest area away from me during class. I tried making more friends, I really did, but it never works. Everybody, for some reason, thinks I'm "evil" because I wear my hair covering my face and I never show any skin that isn't my face. At all. I think they've been telling everybody that I summoned a demon or something and it attacked me and that's why I never show my skin or something, but that's not the case. At all. Do you think I can save our friendship? If not, how can I make new friends? |
Posted: 17 May 2017 04:56 PM PDT Im not friends w my middle school friends anymore and I feel like there's nobody else in my grade that I'll ever become good or best friends with because I know everybody in my grade (not all personally but I know what they're like) |

I obviousy can't assume innapropriate or bad things are going to happen but should i just be more aware of almost co ed hangouts? I don't have a problem with the girl herself, just the fact shes a girl if you know what i mean? am i overreacting |
Question: What do you think of this situation and what should I do? Posted: 17 May 2017 03:50 PM PDT At school today I was sitting with a group of girls. Then a girl that I thought wasn't good looking that was African came to say hi to the group of girls I was with. Then one of the girls(a Spanish girl) made the African girl that I thought wasn't good looking sit down and she was doing her makeup. Then a girl(light skin black) that's always calling me ugly that I used to sit with and left her table and has been calling me ugly for a long time and makes faces like something is funny when I look at a boy or a girl or someone like I find them pretty and I feel like she does this because she thinks I'm too ugly for them and that they will say no on me if I approached them or would run away came and sat with the group of girls as the girl(the Spanish girl) was doing the African girl that I thought wasn't pretty or attractive girl makeup. Then the girl asked me if I'm next. This offended me because the group of girls that I was sitting with all looked pretty and the girl that has been calling me ugly for a long time and makes faces like something is funny when I look at a boy or a girl like I find them attractive that I feel like thinks I'm too ugly for them and they would deny on me if I approached them or would run away if I approached them asked me out of all the girls if I'm next the and I felt like the girl that has been calling me ugly for a long time that asked if I'm next was saying that I'm ugly and was saying that I'm the ugliest out of everyone else.i'm in high school. |

Question: How can I re-assimilate into society? Posted: 17 May 2017 03:29 PM PDT I am 23. I have been a truck driver for 2 years, now I am going back to college. For 2 years, and even before that, my life has felt "temporary," to the point where I don't see the value of making true friends. I'm just always on the move. I mean, don't get me wrong, I have valuable acquantainces I've made in the last few years. But most of the time I just feel like a lonely transient. I'm not even that close with my family. I'm moving to a new town and getting into college. I'm sure I'll meet people at college. But how can I meet people outside of school? This weekend I drove through the town (i don't really live there yet) and theres all types of people out enjoying the town. It's a area with lots of activities. I want to meet people to do these things with. What tips can you guys give me for fitting in. On the other hand, I'll be so focused on school. What do I need friends for? I'm so f***ed up. |
Posted: 17 May 2017 03:28 PM PDT ...circled with thy voice; I shall not lose thee though I die. Why does the speaker believe that he will not be separated from his friend even when the speaker himself is dead? Their friendship will be remembered by those who remain behind. If the speaker—instead of his friend—were dead, his remaining friends would remember him. The speaker's and his friend's spirits will be united in death. Loyalty means being true to another person forever. |

Question: Why do some people leave friendships unexpectedly and without explanation? Posted: 17 May 2017 02:40 PM PDT Honestly, it hurt more than when some other fiends said it straight up to my face why they didn't want to be friends with me anymore. Those close friends leaving unexpectedly was so dehumanizing and I lost all my faith in humanity. It hurt my feelings so much and I can't stop thinking about it. They were so ******* rude! I was diagnosed with bipolar and I do take meds for it now. But I still wish people could empathize with me for everything that I went through. I didn't choose to have a mental illness. Yes, I do have my free will, but it's harder for me to accomplish some things that would be easier for most people to. |

Question: My bestfriend was ditched by my other bestfriends? Posted: 17 May 2017 02:05 PM PDT This has gone on for a while, but my bestfriends always treat her like crap. They make fun of her, don't speak to her and are always slagging her off. She decided to leave the group and now I don't know what to do. I know you will all say I should ditch the group and go with her but the thing is only SOME people in the group are horrible. The others are the nicest people I've ever met. I don't know what to do, I know if I go with her people will start talking about it. I don't want to leave the group because of tHE nice people. Also I want to add that I hung out with that girl that was ditched today and I found it really awkward but it felt like I was doing a good thing. What should I do? |
Question: My school bullies are my roommates for DC trip...? Posted: 17 May 2017 02:01 PM PDT My school is taking a trip to Washington DC and I put 6 names on the list for roomates to queue. However, I have to be roommates with two people who calls me names, spreads rumours of me and my friends, and doesn't like me. I told the school that I can't be roomates with these people and they politely said no . What do I do? |

Question: Why can't I sustain friendships? Posted: 17 May 2017 01:38 PM PDT I've been a bit of a loner since I can remember, but I always managed to have some friends. However, I'm in my mid-20s, and I seem to struggle with this. I am able to maintain friendships with people older than me, but I can't sustain relationships with people my own age. It seems like people my own age latch on to me really quickly and within months, they act like they never knew me. I wonder what I'm doing wrong. I try to keep in touch, congratulate others when they do well, etc., but people seem to lose interest in me. I don't know if they don't feel a connection of if I'm doing something to offend them. What could it be? |
Question: How to make girls cry? Posted: 17 May 2017 12:54 PM PDT I know this probably sounds really weird and fcked up but I totally enjoy watching crying and sobbing girls! It really turns me on! Any ideas how I can make some girls from my class cry without actually hurting their feelings? |

Question: Does having friends in high school matter? Posted: 17 May 2017 12:04 PM PDT I'm just curious. I've heard that many people never see there friends again after high school, except at reunions and such. I don't have many "friends", just rather people I talk too. What are the odds I see any of these people after high school? Does having friends really matter in high school? |
Question: Future roommates are rushing decisions about an apartment, what to do? Posted: 17 May 2017 11:53 AM PDT The original plan was to move late June, early July. The group consists of me, my girl, a really good friend I went to high school with, and his girl. They ve been ditched by potential roommates before, and have been really harsh talking about it, basically antagonizing them. Here s my problem: when looking at apartments, they really liked one or them, said if felt like home, and all that, but this is the second one we looked at in person. I don t want to rush this, but they re set on this place. Now thanks to the manager being a good sales person, she told our future roommates that they ve sold 4 apartments in the last 2 days which they believed of course, and freaked out a little. Now, they want to drop the deposit THIS FRIDAY! That s way too soon, and the decision was basically made without me. Another problem is my girl is having second thoughts about this whole thing because unlike me, she hasn t known my friend for years, and here he is making these decisions without our input. I want to tell my friend we should wait, and that these decisions should be made as a whole, but I m afraid he ll antagonize me for it, and I ll lose one of the only people I genuinely trust. As you can imagine, there s a **** storm in my head, and I don t know what to do. I ve never moved on my own before, so that on its own is nerve wrecking, and now this... Just tell me what you think should be done, I need another perspective on this situation. |
Question: My boyfriend is being bullied? Posted: 17 May 2017 11:23 AM PDT My boyfriend and I go to different schools and he has recently told me that's he is being bullied by some kids in two of his classes. He's talked to the counselors but they are the bullies' coaches so they didn't do anything and he has tried talking to the principal but he has been canceling appointments because he's too busy. What should I do? I feel helpless but I can't stand bullies, especially when they're hurting someone I love |
Posted: 17 May 2017 11:20 AM PDT Everyone can be annoying I suppose. I'm very loud sarcastic argumentative and opinionated I also don't think before i say. A friend was talking behind my back and saying i was annoying but were still friends. Also someone said that we were close and i was very funny but very annoying. I am way too sensitive and worry about this stuff so how can i improve? Thanks in advance |
Question: Why do some rich kids look so old? Posted: 17 May 2017 11:06 AM PDT i know this girl who i was good friends with about 2 years ago.. her dad owns a company and he's a millionaire. She's the type of girl that literally drives 10 different types of cars (a few for example are Tesla, Maserati, BMW and Mercedes) which I'm pretty sure are just family cars.. She also tags designers in her social media (there was a photo of her sitting on the hood of a Maserati so she tagged them.. in that photo she was also wearing designer clothes, jewelry and shoes so of course she tagged them too.) <--- also why i am not really friends with her anymore.. once she realized how fortunate she really is, she took advantage of it and started to brag and become stuck up and selfish. But to my point, she is only 17, but she looks like she's 34. I mean, she looks young and pretty, but at the same time she just looks old,, i don't know how to explain it.. ( and a few other rich kids look twice their age..) Why is that? (I'm looking for more of an opinion kind of answer rather than a factual answer, and no, she has never had plastic surgery) |
Posted: 17 May 2017 11:05 AM PDT I'm tired of being disrespected and not being appreciated. When I try to get my point through with words no one gives me a second thought or laughs me off. I've practiced muay thai for 8 years so it should be easy for me to get my point through by force. Hey no one's gonna be laughing when they're face looks like raw hamburger meat after being punched, elbowed and kneed. Or when they're legs are broken from a barrage of leg kicks. Maybe then I'll get the respect as a human being I so rightfully deserve after many years of abuse. |
Question: How to make friends in a big school? Posted: 17 May 2017 11:03 AM PDT I'm studying german for 2 months in Berlin at a language school (that's kind of like a campus but a lot smaller) and it's nice but I'm slowly getting into the second month and I haven't made any friends yet. Sure I met a few people here and there, but it's so hard to keep in touch when they're not in your class. I have 4 hours of class everyday in the morning but I heard some people have a different schedule. I know it would make more sense to make friends with people in my class but it's been a month and I don't really feel like I connect with anyone. I met a nice group a few weeks ago at the welcoming thing (that the school organises every monday night) and I'd like to be friends with them but I haven't been able to bring myself to approach them since then. I see them sometimes during the break but they're quite a large group in total (I only met 3 of them) and I just don't know how to come up to them without being awkward. I would literally have to get off my table (I usually sit alone with my phone), walk towards them as they watch me and find something to say that would make them want to give me a seat. I just can't handle situations like that. Plus we met weeks ago and they've seen me sit alone a few times, they probably think I'm not interested in knowing them. It's just that I haven't found the courage to make the first step. Any advice ? |
Question: Dealing with a friend who copies me? Posted: 17 May 2017 10:51 AM PDT I am in my mid 20's and my friend whom I've known since high school has started copying everything I do like she doesn't have her own dreams and ambitions. I recently quit my job and have gone back to school to pursue a different career and she did the EXACT same thing. When we talk about life she often repeats some of the things I've told her as if they were her own thoughts. I'm thinking it will be best to just demote our friendship from close friends to associates. Any advice will help. |
Question: My "friend" told me that he dislikes me as a person? Posted: 17 May 2017 10:43 AM PDT So, last night I was out to dinner with probably 20 or so friends. I was having a conversation with 3 of my friends, and at one point I said something, I don't remember what, and one of them said "See, this is why I don't like you." Then I said, "You don't like me?" to which he said, "Not really." I kept trying to ask him if there was something in particular about my personality, or if I had done something wrong to cause him to dislike me, but he never told me. He did say "It's not so much that I dislike you, but I don't particularly like you." It hurt so bad to hear him say that. We've been friends for five years, and I've always really trusted him. He knows almost everything about me. Now, I wonder, was there a time he viewed me as a friend? Or has this friendship always been one sided? I'm really hurt. People have told me they don't like me romantically, but I've never been told that someone just doesn't like me as a person. Especially not someone I've viewed as a friend for years. What should I do? |
Question: How was I the one in the wrong? Posted: 17 May 2017 10:31 AM PDT I was at a club with my friends. I was having a conversation with one of my male friends and this woman that he is supposedly seeing walked over and started to talking to us. I barely know her but I speak when I see her around. I shook it off and didn't take it personal at the time. The next day after talking to a friend about it she agreed with me when i said it was a little rude. I put a status on fb saying that I didn't like it when people interrupted my conversations that them and the person that allowed them to do it is likely to get cussed out. I was talking about that situation but was just venting on fb. About a week later at another party I noticed that she was avoiding me. I went to speak to her and she just walked away. At the end of the night I walked up and was just standing next to. She turned to me and said hey, so what's up with that message you put on fb about interrupting your conversation. I was caught off guard but I got a little loud and said that it was rude. She said why are you so loud. My guy friend came over and said what's going on and pulled me away. He walked me to my car and said he was going to keep his distance from me because I was starting mess but I told him that it was her who started it. Was I the one in the wrong here? She started it by bringing it up. |
Question: Random guy sits in the same room as us, feel kind of sorry for him? Posted: 17 May 2017 09:50 AM PDT I've always been in all girls schools, so I'm awkward to the max with boys, not to mention, I have bad social anxiety. I will NOT just walk up to him and chat, I'm not like that. But I was wondering if there were some ways if we could discreetly pull him into our conversations? My group and I sit in this room during lunch. About a week ago, some random guy from our year just started sitting there also. Usually, it's just our group and another small group. The guy comes alone, sits down, eats lunch, and is just on his phone for the whole hour. The problem is, I have no idea about him. Does he not have any friends to hang out with? Is this just for a short period of time because maybe his friend is away? Does he even WANT to be talked to? I have no clue. Either way, I feel kinda bad for him. It doesn't seem like he has anyone. But I feel like chatting to him might make him realise that we feel sorry for him, which is embarrassing? |
Question: I think my BFF is annoying? Posted: 17 May 2017 09:27 AM PDT My BFF (for how long anymore I don't know) is constantly being annoying. These are just of the things she does; she is boy obsessed which makes it really hard to talk to her when all she wants to talk about is that boy, she is very rude (she laughs at people and puts her feet on the table, she also burps and blows it on people wtf), she's EXTREMELY clueless like I can not have a conversation with her without her not knowing what I am talking about. She hates not being in the "middle". When we hang out with our other bestfriend she always sides with her and she always tries to intiate plans with her right in front of me all the time (it wouldnt be as annoying if I was mid talking). However, sometimes she can be really nice and listen to what I say but is it worth being her bff for those sometimes? |
Question: Was I worried for nothing. What do you think? Posted: 17 May 2017 09:17 AM PDT Where I work the company owner, my boss brought in his new wife and introduced her to us employees. Our boss John is in his mid 40s and his new wife is in her early 20s, my age. A few days later he ask me if I thought his wife was cute. I said, "I had not give it much thought but yes she is cute". It became known at the office that John was very jealous of his wife with other men. One day John ask me if I would like to "fool around with his wife". Wanting to not get involved with his personal life and wanting to keep my job I said "I would not fool around with any man's wife". He said "then you are the person to train my wife to use the company's computer system so she can help me with the business. I did not want to do that but I had no choice to do it if I wanted to keep my job. I did train her but it took a long time. After the training she told me "I owe you big time. Please let me take you to lunch to say thank you for being patient with me during the training". I told her I could only do that if her husband John came with us. She said he is very busy and probably could not find the time to join us for lunch. I told her a thank you lunch was not necessary. My thoughts were that a lunch with her without him would put my job on the line. Do you think I made the right decision about this or was I worried for nothing? |

Question: Why Do Some People Not Acknowledge You When Someone Close to You Dies? Posted: 17 May 2017 08:18 AM PDT I recently had a death in my family. Someone who was very very important to me. I was out of town on a trip while it happened, with people I've known for a long time. I thought they were friends When I found out, I was hurting a lot. What hurt also, was that many of the people I was with ignored me or acted indifferent the whole weekend. Only one person really came to comfort me. Another person did acknowledge me, but looking back, they seemed to do it to make themselves look good. One of the people in the group is a girl I really liked at one point. She especially went out of hr way to ignore me, not look at me etc What is wrong with these people? Do they just not care? |
Question: When do I say "enough"? Posted: 17 May 2017 08:01 AM PDT My husband and I recently helped out a friend by offering a spare bedroom to him when his landlord kicked him out with no notice (no lease). All was well for a while, but then his ex girlfriend (who happens to be a very old friend of mine) started coming around. It was never discussed that she could stay at our house, and she has her own house, but she is at our house day & night none-the-less. Her AND her dog. If this was just a weekend thing or a couple of nights a week, I would not even care. We are all adults and I have no problem with our friend wanting to spend time with a lady, but this woman is now effectively living at our house and no one even asked us if that was OK. She makes an effort to stay our of our way and not interfere with our daily lives, but she is using water, internet, electricity, etc. As I stated above, she has her own house. She has all these little excuses why she doesn't want to be there, none of which are our problem - nor do I care. I feel like she is hiding from all of her responsibilities by hiding out at our house all the time, and I am just sick of it. She has cats at her house that are being completely neglected and this bothers me a great deal. What do I do? I feel like she's using the fact that we are old friends to guilt me into this situation. She is always going on about how very much she doesn't want to be at her house, and how great we are, blah, blah, blah. I just want her to go home. Help! |
