Question: Can a relationship survive a rejected marriage proposal? Posted: 18 May 2017 09:05 PM PDT Honestly, nothing would upset me more than being proposed to - especially if it were public - I just play out this scenario where someone would propose and I'm not sure I could even talk to that person again. I've zero interest in getting married, it doesn't mean anything to me past being a tradition or a legal document, and I'd rather use the sort of money spent on a wedding on a deposit for a home or for kids. I'd plan on telling a partner that, I'm just curious if a guy is likely to have his ego too bruised to continue a relationship or if a relationship in general can continue after this...to me I'd worry it'd be the end of it. |
Question: I want a divorce from my husband, but I'm scared. Please help?!!? Posted: 18 May 2017 08:44 PM PDT I've been married 14 years I'm 32. And I have 4 kids from him. 14y,13y,3y,9 month old. Question: How can i have sucessful dating life? Posted: 18 May 2017 08:07 PM PDT I met this girl at my school. She had a nice tattoo i complemented her and we exchanged numbers. She broke up with someone not too long but now she just wants to be single. I told her thats fine because i am out of a relationship for some time and we can just be friends and hang out. She thought that was cool. she is beautiful. I want to get to know her a little more. How can i open up the door again? I went through a divorce. Have been single for while now. I feel like i need to move on so i cant start fresh with someone new. My ex wife walked out on me and it doesn't feel good. I've seeing a therapist. I just want someone nice to be friends with and hopefully it can lead to romance. What things can i ask her or talk about to get to know her more and hoping she will open up. Please advise. |

Question: Help! Need some advice!? Posted: 18 May 2017 07:51 PM PDT (Sorry to post here, Singles & Dating has 12 year olds giving advice.) I started dating a guy, M, 2 weeks ago. Flirty texts became sexting after a few days (but nothing obscene). We were texting constantly for about a week. Went out on a couple of dates during that time and fooled around. I just wanted to hook up but he's talking about how I was so important to him, he didn't want to mess things up with me, and there was no one else but me. I didn't know him well so gave him the benefit of the doubt and said let's just see where this goes. That first weekend I went on a hiking trip and there was a cute guy there. M didn't sign up for the hikes but I think he knew the cute guy was there. Anyway after that weekend M started texting me less. He said that an elderly friend had passed away and being a church volunteer he had to help attend to her funeral. He disappeared for a couple of days and when I wrote him on the second day he took a long time to reply and sounded weird. He definitely didn't sound sad or grieving at all. I thought maybe he lied and was hooking up with another girl so I ignored his text. He wrote back the next day but made no plans to see me. I asked if he wanted to get together he said not this week. I said this is not going to work because I can't prioritize someone who won't make me a priority in his life. He ignores my text and a week later asks how I am doing. He's playing me, right? |
Question: Should i ignore my sister and her husband? Posted: 18 May 2017 07:37 PM PDT My sister is 23 and she got married 4 months ago, and Im 16 , and i have been depressed ever since she got married, its like she doesn t even care about me anymore. We went from talking everyday to barely speaking once a week , I don t hate my sister s husband it just feels like he s taking my sister away , she s my best friend and it feels like day by day were slowly fading away from each other and it feels like my sister doesn t really care. i just want to ignore my sister so she can feel the pain I m feeling. |
Question: My wife rarely lets me have sex with her. Should I divorce her or cheat on her? Posted: 18 May 2017 06:57 PM PDT When we were dating she was amazing sexually. But some time after marrying she started to say no, tired, not in the mood etc. She masturbates to porn though. I been hoping she would cheat on me so I can have an excuse to divorce her or go to other women guilt free but then I realized she is the one denying me my natural desires so I should just cheat on her. But then I realized why should I be stuck with her? She is selfish. I can just leave her and finally get some relief between my legs again. |
Question: Husband rubs his penis on me while we're going to sleep? Posted: 18 May 2017 06:49 PM PDT Is he overly horny ... does it mean he wants to have sex right there |
Question: My ex wife is lying to turn my daughter against me? Posted: 18 May 2017 06:37 PM PDT With filthy lies and manipulation. Can anything be done? |
Question: Still awkward when I see the guy my wife slept with before me. Is this normal? Posted: 18 May 2017 06:32 PM PDT Before we dated my wife slept with a guy a couple of times at work. Said it was a rebound from her prior fiancé. She said that's all it was. However if I see him out I act normal, but get jealous. That was 8 years ago. |
Question: Why dont wives have sex with their husbands? Posted: 18 May 2017 06:01 PM PDT Dont they realize how important it is to him? |
Question: Why wouldn't my mom want uncle to get married? Is it because he's marrying my aunt? Posted: 18 May 2017 05:37 PM PDT My uncle is getting married in my grandparents house. The house is kind of huge and it's going to be a small wedding. Mom was complaining that he wasn't going to have it at church. She thinks since marriage is God working in two people's lives they should get married in the church. My uncle is super religious too and I asked if that's the way it is supposed to be why didn't he want to get married at church? Mom said, "He's just wrong about the whole wedding." Then she made me promise not to say anything to him or my aunt. Yeah, he's marrying my aunt. He is my Mom's brother and he's marrying my Dad's sister. |
Question: Social Security benefits for surviving spouses caring for disabled child? Posted: 18 May 2017 05:15 PM PDT Looking for help with social security benefits . I am a widow with a disabled child and I have had people tell me I could should apply for benefits from SS but I seem to get nowhere. When my husband was ill the only way he received the benefits was when the cancer society stepped in outside of that they did not want to help him at all.Anyone know a trick ....besides an attorney? P.S. I work full time not a slacker just wondering if the people that have mentioned this to me are correct. |
Question: Why do women make out like bandits in divorce court? Posted: 18 May 2017 04:13 PM PDT If a couple getting a divorce has one vehicle and one home, the woman gets both. The man will be expected to catch a cab to work so he can continue paying support every week to her. He should be able to take his kids and buy what they need directly. The judge will give her at least half of his 401k, any property he owns, and if he's a business owner she'll either take over as owner or they'll make him sell the company and give her half of the profits. This can happen even if the reason for the divorce was her being unfaithful. Does this sound like equality? She should have to go out and make her own freaking money. And anything to do with your kids shouldn't have to be overseen by the freaking mother. Js. |
Posted: 18 May 2017 04:13 PM PDT My girlfriend has 3 kids. Her ex husband pays $937 a month in child support. He'said trying to get out of laying it this month though, and paying us back next month. He's all whining about how his Mom died in a car accident and he doesn't haveone to go home for the funeral. Not our problem dude. Take care of your child support, then deal with your personal expenses. It's my birthday in 2 weeks, and she was going to buy me a Nintendo switch, and I'm not waiting another month. Mario Kart 8, Zelda, it looks awesome. How is it our fault you can't manage your money effectively, the dude works 2 jobs, he can pull it off. Can I call the cops on him if he doesn't pay on time? What can we do to make him do the right thing????? |
Posted: 18 May 2017 02:52 PM PDT My husband and I have been together for 5 years and for the past year I've noticed that I've gotten bored of our marriage. I'd rather spend time by myself, I get annoyed if I'm laying in bed by myself watching a movie or reading and he hops into bed and interrupts what I am doing. I don't really get sexually turned on by him, he's extremely attractive (I catch other women go googley eyed over him all the time), I just feel nothing for him in that category. Am I wrong for feeling this way or do other people start feeling like this while in a long term relationship? I've only had one other "serious" relationship in my late teens/early 20s and I didn't experience this feeling then. So I'm not sure if it's just me or if this just happens. Can it be due to our age difference? I'm 27 and he is 39 and sometimes I do feel like I've missed out on certain things in life. |
Posted: 18 May 2017 02:21 PM PDT I love my wife and she takes care of herself. However I am at the gym a lot and in good shape. Should I say NO to her sometimes? I'm worried I will never get any again if I do. Lol. Thoughts? |
Question: Would you be mad if spouse went to happy hour and didn't tell you? Posted: 18 May 2017 02:18 PM PDT I don't care that my wife went. I pick up the kids and got home and sometimes it's stressful after a long days of work. I told her I felt disrespected as she didn't let me known I don't care about her going, I was mad because I was taking care of the kids and making dinner. Just wanted a heads up. Am I wrong to ask her to just let me know? |
Question: Would you date a guy with a low salary? Posted: 18 May 2017 02:17 PM PDT like $60000 for instance? I dated a guy (he's 26 and kinda attractive twice and googled him and found his linkedin.. i'm guessing his salary based on his profession. to me anything less than $100000 is not worth the trouble. what a loser |
Question: Is it wrong that a 40 yr old flirts with a 22 yr old girl? Posted: 18 May 2017 01:59 PM PDT I cant find available women my age; they're ALL married, or really not good looking or divorced lesbians ( damaged goods ). I do feel slighty guilty for flirting with a 22 yr old girl. But she is sweet and caring and extremely polite - qualities i dont see in older hags. But is it wrong ? |

Posted: 18 May 2017 01:02 PM PDT I have been married for 10 years. I am madly in love with my wife. Our relationship is built on love and respect and we really are best friends. . . And there in lies the problem. We treat each other like best friends. We make jokes at each other's expense, we rough house but there is very little sweetness and romance between us. I met a girl at work. She is kind and sweet. We go to lunch together sometimes. It started out completely platonic. Nothing physical has happend between us but she told me that she is developing romantic feelings for me and I realized that I feel it too. She gives me what i am missing in my relationship with my wife. That being said, I need to stop seeing her. I love my wife and I do not want to throw away my relationship with her. But I don't want to hurt my friend either. How can I let her down gently? How do I tell my wife what I feel I'm missing that would lead me to romantic feelings for another? Help me please |
Posted: 18 May 2017 12:43 PM PDT My mother who hates my husband with a passion came into my home uninvited, knowing only my husband would be there. She physically assaulted him. He did have a gun but did not verbally or physically threaten harm just told her to leave which she refused. He went to jail for domestic violence and aggravated assault. How is this possible? |
Posted: 18 May 2017 10:01 AM PDT So, I have been in an unhappy marriage for the past 10 years. My husband is like my roommate. We just been good friends, who hangs out and has sex when we need that extra touch. Then we would bang it out and go our separate ways.. Maybe once a month? I forced him to have sex with me twice a week, and it was like pulling teeth. He is an amazing dad to our kids and very supportive in all things with them and our home life. Just not with our relationship. I have not been searching, but I meant a man and it was like we knew each other our whole live type of connection. We keep it very professional, though. My husband has noticed a change in me. He noticed what I look like when I feel beautiful in someones eyes. Now, he has feelings for me, now, he wants to be with me. And, I am hurt, and I am angry. I tried to be beautiful for him. I think this other guy is someone I almost like to say I hate, but have fallen so hard for. I dont know what to do. I was just living my life, raising my kids, with a man who would never love me until someone else does. Now, I know what I have been missing, and it has made so angry at my husband. I want him to go back to not caring, and let me go. But, now he wants to work things out, and be there, and have sex with me all the time. But, I am not happy, and disgusted. I owe him a second chance though, and I suppose for the children, I owe it to the children. But, my heart is breaking, because I have never meant a man like this other one. What do I do? |
Question: Is marrying someone who has children already really worth it? Posted: 18 May 2017 09:28 AM PDT I met someone I really like who is divorced with two young kids. They are super hot and nice but literally has limited time to spend unless I go to their place (nearly an hours drive) and hang out with them and their kids. They are also financially struggling because even though their ex pays child support but its not enough (their ex has a job but its not that great of a job and the financially contributions help very little). The ex is also in the picture enough to be annoying and invasive but not enough to step up and be a decent parent so the children are lacking some structure and the person Im dating is always exhausted from parenting for two. They are often too exhausted for romance, date nights, sex, etc. and are often in a bed mood and have headaches and want back rubs but never reciprocate. The ex will see the kids once or twice a week for a couple of hours but will return them if they are acting up or they have something else to do. The ex also always seem to want to be over at my currents place when Im not around. My current also never has money to take vacations either, something I love so I will have to pay for theirs and mine and also their ex won't watch their kids while they are away either. Also whenever we go out to eat I pay for both of us most of the time because money is tight for them but now Im growing a little resentful. Is marrying someone with kids really worth it? |
Question: Should I divorce my wife for not telling me she was an octoroon? (1/8 black)? Posted: 18 May 2017 08:32 AM PDT My son was sick recently so I brought him to the doctor. He said his symptoms are consistent with sickle cell anemia and since he's got some African American DNA he will test my son. I told the Doctor that he was mistaken that both my wife and I are white. He said that because a fraction of his genes were black it made him more at risk. To make a long story shorter it turns out my wife's great grandfather was black, she told the doctor but she never told me. I can't believe that I'm in a mixed marriage my wife looks so white. My poor kids are hexaroons. What can I do I can divorce my wife but I can't divorce my kids. |
Question: Can you help me choose? Posted: 18 May 2017 08:02 AM PDT Who do I choose: my husband for two yrs (but with constant fights, who drains my self esteem, doesnt set me as priority,no respect,no stable income--cant find ways himself always ask me for solution,we recently broke up but he is coming back again) or the man i met online (who is my ideal guy, from another country though but is mature, knows im married and have son,he lives kids,he cares,he understands, he respects, he gets my jokes,he supports my passion, will visit me next year,is waiting for me to get anulled so he can marry me)? |
Question: Have I a right to be upset? Posted: 18 May 2017 07:40 AM PDT After 17yrs of marriage, my so called husband walked out. No warning, no nothing, just left, saying he had had enough. My son (not his) had a long term problem with drugs. My so called 'husband' asked me to downsize from 'my' family home so that no-one else could stay there. Like a fool I did and left my home after 29 happy years with my children.' My' son came to live with us in 'our' new home and my husband left soon after. I have not seen nor heard from him until divorce papers came a couple of weeks ago. All of my family have alienated me because of my son, but I love him and he was there long before I met my partner. I want to help him. I have had no contact with any of my family and now feel so alone. Any advice please? |
Posted: 18 May 2017 07:22 AM PDT I had never fancied or tried it in in there but he convinced me during pregnancy, I guess I am a bit prudish and thought it was a slutty thing. Anyway we did, it was uncomfortable and didn't do anything for me but he absolutely loved it, the forbidden thing and tightness turned him on. It's 4 months after baby arrived and he will only do it that way now, he does rub me at the same time but I want to go back to vaginal, Yes I have told him several times but no deal, how do I convince him? |

Question: Is it a rebound or does she love the new person? Posted: 18 May 2017 06:23 AM PDT Hello, I know you probably get enormous amounts of relationship advice messages but if you can, please let me know your thoughts. I just read one of your articles about rebound relationships. I'm a woman married to another woman, we are long distant but she was planning on moving to Canada from the states, she has her permanent residency card. She is also bipolar. Around the end of February she decided to leave me, she didn't talk to me for two weeks and this behaviour is normal for her, she leaves me and comes back. When that happened I decided to go on tinder to be distracted from her and then this girl and I started talking, we hadn't met yet but I was interested in meeting her. My wife messaged me and begged to be with me again which I told her I needed to meet this girl. My wife messaged me the end of march. So I met the new girl and we hit it off we started to be exclusive April 4th and I realized I missed my wife...my wife had also gone on a dating app and met someone, so I recently tried to get her back and I broke it off with the last girl which I guess was a rebound and now my wife says she loves this other person when she was telling me she was madly in love with me end of march. Is it possible that in a month she has fallen in love? Please let me know, thank you |
Question: What does this mean? Posted: 18 May 2017 05:21 AM PDT Me and my husband are both in the 50s but nit sure why I always feel like I need to do this. I feel like I need to always remind him to call the Dr. to get a refill or prescription for Viagra . He says that he will and every time I ask him he says I forgot to call. Is this right that I have to remind him of it or what does this mean? update: Well he married me and sex is supposed to be an important part of marriage. If you hadn't had sex in 9 months, you might feel the same |
Question: Why do guys hate girls who are @$$holes to them? Posted: 18 May 2017 05:06 AM PDT I said the f-word to my husband yesterday and he became extremely hostile and told my dad about it. My dad then tell me that I'm being such an @$$hole and disrespecting my husband and my husband agreed with my dad. But I think it's okay for girls to curse and be like this instead of guys. Guys should just be polite and satisfy the girl's ego. My mom was abusive which taught me not to have any respect for men as well as treat them badly which I think is girl power and that misandry rules because a man can be a total b***h like my mom, or a son-of-a-b***h. Men always need to be degraded and abused by women all the time no matter what. |
Question: Hiw to be a happier wife and momma when you can't catch a break? Posted: 18 May 2017 03:29 AM PDT I love being a mother I love raising my children at home and seeing them thrive and I love my husband but having 3 kids and 2 dogs and being married is really hard work I literally have approximately an hour a day to myself and that hour is not really guaranteed Most of the time the husband works really early hours of the morning until 12 midday so by the time I do have that one special hour while my toddler sleeps my husband comes home and obviously he needs attention and then we're together for the rest of the day until the evening when I fall asleep on the sofa from sheer exhaustion after I finished up with the children for the night Or if he does work afternoons he will stay with me the whole day work in the afternoon until the moment I put the children to bed he walks through the door so I never catch that break of quiet time ever this is my cycle every single day and I find it really hard without having time to myself any suggestions? |
Question: My husband showed me middle finger.? Posted: 18 May 2017 01:34 AM PDT I am very sensitive wife and when we argue about something, I usually tell him what to say to me or apologize to me. Oftenly after even he say sorry to me I ask him to say the way I want to hear to help myself feel better. Well he has been doing it for me for years and I bet it is very stressful to him. He is very honest, fun,and very helpful in house chores as well. He is living in my country for work and for me, he says. Nowdays raising baby together, we are both very tired and get very sensitive especially in eary morning. I usually get up before hum in the early morning to feed my boy and change diaper. My husband does it too but since he works, he usually takes care of him in morning time while I take a rest. Very thankful but oftenly I get mad or upset easy when I see him getting up to go to the bathroom but not to get up for baby s crying in eary morning. He does sometimes but I usually do. So last night I said now you get up! as he goes to bathroom and as he lies down on the bed, he repeated what I said to him and then I said you dont get up for your son but you do to pee!! And then he showed me his middle finger and went to bed. I know I was not nice and was meen as well but I hate to see him doing that to me. He usually ignore when he hears me keep complaining after answering my questions. Should I just let it go or should I take serious? Im an asian and pretty sensitive those stuffs. Is there any difference between showing fingers and actully saying it? |
Question: Should I respect my wife's space or she being the rude one? Posted: 18 May 2017 01:12 AM PDT My wife and I have been married for a month but she doesn't let me stay the night or let me live with her or have her move in. She always says, "I'm love you but i'm not ready to share my space with you. I don't share my space with anyone. let's wait a year on it. Thanks" She said that throughout our relationship. We've been together 2 years and after just 6 months in our relationship" EVERYTIME there's an excuse. She said let's wait 6 months to make it a year. After doing that she said after our engagement after 1 year and 6 months i proposed and she said wait until were married and then we just got married and she still doesn't want me to live with her :/ Is this normal? Update: We live in separate cities by the way. She lives like 45 minutes away Update 2: We both have seperate careers and I'm 27 and she's 25 |

Question: Should I get a full name change BEFORE marriage? Posted: 17 May 2017 10:20 PM PDT Hey all...so I'm getting married sometime in the next few months...in Texas. For a long time now I've been planning on changing my whole name legally...but now that I'm getting married, I'm not sure what to do. So the question is, should I change my whole name, and take my fiance's name BEFORE getting married, so that it doesn't have to be changed again after marriage? Say like, I change my first and middle, and take his surname during the name change process, and then get married and just write down the name I changed to. Would I still need to submit anything even though I kept the name I previously changed it to? Sorry for any confusion. I don't know how else to explain the situation. Would really like some advice from someone whose studied law. |

Question: Am I right not to tell my ex that I'm pregnant? Posted: 17 May 2017 11:21 AM PDT I really hate him.. He has been such a douche.. I wish I never saw him or heard from him again... I can't believe I'll have to keep in contact with him for 18 years! My child doesn't need his money to grow up. It's none of his business anymore.. (he would be a bad influence anyway for my kid) He chose his new friend I'll keep it a secret 4vr we were not married.. I don't want a cent from him, we and my child aren't beggars |
Question: Why do most males see marriage as a way of locking down sex on tap for life? Posted: 17 May 2017 09:39 AM PDT Marriage is supposed to be a partnership, about loving and supportong each other. Women innately understand this. |
Question: Being married, the military, and staking out? Posted: 17 May 2017 09:08 AM PDT I'm 21 and my wife is 20. We have been married for one year. We met in high school. Then split up, went our separate ways. By chance, we met again. Sorta rekindled, I guess the romance. We had known one another a long time. Since we were kids, actually. Everyone said we were always made for each other. Not sure if you ever have a one and only, but whatever. So life is pretty good right now. We live in Texas. Great climate, great people. We both have good jobs. Both in school. I do carpentry though so that is hands on. Always plenty to learn though. I eventually will have my own business. Maybe sooner than later. I love putting stuff together. See the results of your work. My wife is in...you won't believe it...the horse business. It's her family business. It's really a great business to be in. If you've never been around horses, it's hard to describe to someone. I don't have a horse, but know them pretty well. Not as good as my wife however. We're in w Texas and there are like a zillion horses out here. There is really nothing like it. You might have heard that some people like horses more than people. Can't really say that about myself. I really like people, but horses are absolutely fantastic. Almost as great as the Texas climate. If you have ever experienced that. We're in Texas by the way. Dry in these parts. Anyhow, we have a house. A small one and maybe moving to larger. Don't know yet. We're in Texas, if that helps. Thanks. |
