Question: What makes someone think they are worthless, even if they really aren t? Posted: 21 May 2017 05:33 PM PDT I have a best friend and she is so kind to everyone. She is patient, wants to help, volunteers, treats everyone with love and kindness, and get s A s and B s in school. However, she is in therapy because she is a cutter and feels like she is worthless all the time. How could someone like her, who is popular and people aspire to be like, feel worthless? |
Question: Should say sorry for crashing a party.? Posted: 21 May 2017 04:52 PM PDT I crashed a surprise party. I saw a snap about my friend's surprise party at his house and 25 people were there. I got jealous but I decided to come. Many people actually liked it that i came even the birthday boy. I brought something to play which was cards and we had fun since I'm very competitive when it comes to cards. However, three people were very angry that I came. When I was outside texting my Mom to pick me up, one just approached and said "You weren't even supposed to be part!" and we ended up arguing. IDK if I should say sorry. BTW the parents enjoyed my prescence in the party. Should I say sorry for crashing a surprise party? |
Question: Can this get me in trouble? Posted: 21 May 2017 04:51 PM PDT I'm a teenager and I play an online game and have many friends on it. There is a certain girl on that game who is very "famous" because she has a YouTube channel where she makes videos based on that game. Let's call her Lilly. But one day her friends from school found the channel and bullied her, so she deleted it. A few months later she makes a new account and goes by a different name just in case her school friends don't find her. Only her fans know her true identity. So anyway Lilly made fun of my sister for getting raped and framed her for hacking a girl on the game. She didn't do it because while the girl was hacked we were on a family vacation and didn't take the laptop. But everyone believed Lilly since she's so "famous." Well anyway a few days ago on her instagram story she posted a picture with her face in it thanking her fans for keeping her identity a secret. I saved the picture and plan on sending it to 10 of her school friends on instagram. Can I get in trouble for this? I won't tell them to bully or make fun of m her or anything, I am just going to SIMPLY send them the picture and tell them her YouTube channel. Will I get in trouble for this? Also I live in another state and her instagram is public |
Question: Whats with my guy friend? Posted: 21 May 2017 04:36 PM PDT Hello! So I ve know my guy friend for a year a little over. We ve hung out once with my best friend. I ve been trying to get together with him for months, he always texts back, continues the convo. He s a very nice guy and I know he cares about me as a FRIEND. he is not a player at all. Anyways he just confuses me when i asked him o hag to one time he said he had baseball tryouts but that doesnt take all day. Also i will add that he hasn t been in snapchat stories or instagram photos or even his own. Which is fine. I know I m an option it is what is. He says he s will hang out with me (he will if he gets the chance) inwill add that he works 50+ hours a week plus a job on then weekend. He crazy busy but he says he will hang out this summer. He s a very honest and good person but He has other priorities and he will get to me when he can. He s always there for me when i need him. He even texted me a really nice happy birthday message when it was my birthday. I only have to 2 friends at home: him and my best friend. We also snapchat sometimes I'm confused |
Question: What would you do in my situation? Posted: 21 May 2017 04:36 PM PDT So this guy just keeps on slapping my *** even tho i hate it. I try to tell him to stop but he just ignores me and pretends he doesnt hear me. oops blooped out part says butt |
Question: I want to go to a concert alone? Posted: 21 May 2017 04:35 PM PDT So I've always been a concert goer and I had a friend I used to always go with, but she left my school for high school. We aren't very close anymore, and I don't really wanna go with her anyway. I'm 15, and my dad allows me to go to even small clubs to see bands. I'm almost positive he wouldn't let me go alone, but I've been to so many now I don't see why not? I have no other friends who like the music I listen to. My siblings don't either, any ways I can convince him? |
Question: I love being an asshole to my friend? What's wrong with me? Posted: 21 May 2017 03:43 PM PDT So one of my friends is always nice & never says anything bad but I'm the complete opposite of that. I really enjoy being an asshole to her. Like I sometimes insult her for fun, make fun of her or embarrass her in front of other people. It just gives me a kick and makes me feel better when she's sad or even crying. Usually she will ignore & avoid me for a few days or even a week but she always comes back since she has no other friends and is too shy to talk to people so she can't make any friends. Why am I so fcked up? |
Question: Can I do this with a 13 year old girl? Posted: 21 May 2017 03:35 PM PDT I went to pick up my girlfriend Betty for our date and she was not ready so I talked to her 13 year old sister Amy. Amy told me she was having trouble with her math homework and ask me to help her until her sister was ready. I agreed to do that. I did this for several weeks and Amy raised her grade to A. I also became good friends with Amy. She was happy and so was her mother with the improvement in her grades. Betty decided she wanted to date someone else which was fine with me. However Amy wanted me to continue to help her with her math homework which was also fine with me. I like to help people when I can. I don't know Betty's new boyfriend so I have no way of knowing if he would have a problem with me being at their house helping her sister. However Betty did not want me there when her new boyfriend was there. I told Betty, Amy, and their mother they needed to work this out as I did not want to cause any problems with anybody. Amy's solution was for me to help her with her homework in her room with the door closed so Betty's boyfriend would not know I was there. I had previously helped Amy in her kitchen. Her mom was OK with this as she said she trusted me completely. I am not sure I am comfortable doing that. For the record I HAVE NO ROMANTIC INTEREST IN ANY 13 year old girl. I am 18. Please give me some advice on what I should do so I don't cause ANYONE a problem. |

Posted: 21 May 2017 03:12 PM PDT Something happened a year ago or so, and I blame myself that it happened... I dunno why I just do I feel like it was my fault. And it annoys me that nothing happened to him for it. |
Question: How do I rectify certain inequities? Posted: 21 May 2017 03:05 PM PDT My son's ex girlfriend has fallen in love with his best friend. But what he doesn't know is that his best friend and I have had some exchanges. Some being simple conversations. And others being physical fights. I offered him friendship and he said no to me. I want him dead. But I want to make him suffer first. Now that my son has told me that his former girlfriend is now in love with his best friend, should I take advantage of this? |
Question: Was I almost drugged or am I overthinking? Posted: 21 May 2017 02:32 PM PDT Okay, so I have a boyfriend and took my close friend to prom. My close friend knew we are nothing but friends. After prom we decided to go to this big bonfire to hangout with all of our mutual friends. I was only going to hangout so my goal was to be buzzed. My friend on the other hand, continued to drink and was trying to get me to drink more. Which I explained I cut myself off and wasn t planning on getting messy. Towards the end of the night we were gathered around the bed of someone s truck and I was talking to one of my friends about something intently but out of the corner of my eye I saw my close friend that I came to the party with take something out of someone s bag and put it in this plastic cup. I wasn t sure what it was but he then had a plastic cup filled with a clear liquid that either looked like water or vodka. Him and our other friends were trying to get me to drink it. They were promising that is good for me and that it doesn t taste bad. I got a bad feeling so although they chanted for me to drink it I didn t. I forgot about it until now. Now he keeps apologizing to me and I m not sure why, he obviously feels guilty for some reason. So I m wondering if this seems sketchy to anyone elseand I m wondering if my friend was trying to drug me. I am just wondering if I m exaggerating or if I should watch out for this kid because I m sure I ll be drinking with him more. I m not exactly sure what the signs of a person who is your friend would be to watch out for |
Question: Why does a friend always say they'll contact me to do something and never follow through? Posted: 21 May 2017 02:31 PM PDT For example, they say I really want to see a film and I'll text you when I can go or see me for a drink. But it never happens. They seem to enjoy themselves whenever I do see them though? |

Question: Is my staying out of this the right thing to do? Posted: 21 May 2017 01:37 PM PDT I remained good friends with my ex wife's mom and dad after the divorce and she was OK with that. Her mom and dad called me to invite me over dinner. I gladly accepted as her mom is a great cook. After dinner they told me my ex wife was getting married again and told me who the guy was. They really disliked him and did not want her to marry him. I had to agree with them that in my opinion, the guy is a bum. He is 28 years old, lived with his parents and has never had a job in his life. He is a high school drop out. They told me their daughter would not listen to them but she greatly respected my opinion and asked me to talk to her out of marrying this guy. What is so unexplainable is that she likes expensive jewelry, luxury cars, and the latest in fashion clothes. All of these things are expensive. I am conflicted about this. Even though I would like to help my ex wife as a friend in this situation, I don't think I should be telling her who she should marry. Please let me have your thoughts on what I should do. Ladies, I would really like you input. I don't plan to talk to her unless she ask for my advice. Is my staying out of this the right thing to do? |
Question: Should I stop helping my classmates? Posted: 21 May 2017 01:31 PM PDT I am the only guy in my high school AP physics class. My classmates are all good friends of mine. Most days a few of them ask me for help with their homework so I help them in the library after school. They really appreciate the help and on Fridays they bring treats that we share. They call this is a mini thank you party for my help. We all have a lot of fun doing this. Some times they give me a hug and say thank you and sometimes they give me a kiss on the cheek and say thank you. The problem is these girl's boyfriends are mad a me for being so close to their girlfriends. They tell me to stay away from their girlfriends. I don't think they have any reason to be mad at me. The girls ask for my help. If they don't want me helping their girlfriends, they should take this up with their girlfriends shouldn't they? Am I doing something wrong here by helping these girls? |

Question: How have you found peace after having been made fun of in school behind your back? Posted: 21 May 2017 01:25 PM PDT I would still be nervous if I had to see my classmates again, and I graduated 5 years ago. I had a friend tell me what they were saying behind my back and at the time that shattered me down to my core and now I always know what they had said, and it is now affecting with my life still because I have a hard time being open and friendly and putting myself out there cuz I'm always afraid of what they are really saying behind my back. its so hard to make friends that way . |

Question: Am I being bullied or is it a joke? Posted: 21 May 2017 01:12 PM PDT I m a cleaner and a guy in the office is making comments at my expense. When I turn up for work he ll say oh wow she s early for once, or if I put coat on few minutes before leaving as does everyone, he ll say having an early one today are ya then. He stands on my hoover wire and laughs about it while I m trying to pull hoover along. He wipes his feet directly in front of me on the mat as I m hoovering it then he walks off smirking. He unplugs or switches off hoover while I m vacuuming then goes and sits back down. I ask if there s anything to wash up and he always says yeah u can wash my feet. He takes stuff out my cleaning caddy and scatters them around in difference places right in front of me and leaves them there. He takes tops off tea and coffee and leaves them and waits for me to see them then laughs once I ve noticed. He said something one time and I said it s a good job I ve got a sense of humour and he replied gags? Really, where is it then have u bought one off eBay?? He says stuff like well done you nearly worked hard today.., you almost got everything done in a month didn t you? I m getting really tired of it and wish he d leave me alone. Is this banter, am I being silly or is it bullying. I m scared of being called over sensitive by people but it s affecting me badly. |

Question: Going on vacation with an old friend, what do we talk about? Posted: 21 May 2017 01:05 PM PDT I moved to a different state last year and my old friend asked me to go to the beach with her for a few days with her family. Question: My parents are not allowing me to have a social life, what can I do about this? Posted: 21 May 2017 11:10 AM PDT My parents are the kind who don't really care about having friends. They think that family is the most important and that anyone who is not family is fake and not trustable. My family, like my cousins etc. dont even care about me. My parents restrict me from my current group of friends and are too overprotective, these friends of mine themselves are not even the bad kind...they are more into their studies. They will constantly say something bad about them or that I shouldn't get too close (these are university friends at the country where I'm studying). When I go back to my own country in the holidays, they don't even let me to hang out with friends there because that is where all the family is and they just want me to be by them and they haven't at all met my friends at home country and think that they are also untrustable, they think I'll meet guys and disappoint them...I have a few guy friends but they haven't met them. I am sick of this, I'm a 20 year old and at university. I've been alone my entire life. What must I do to be able to have a social life. I get so jealous when I see people that are easily able to have friendships, it's like I crave it. So far, my friends in my home country have been more loyal than family even of I do go out with them, my parents will send a family member to watch from a far distance. |

Question: Should I go by Jenny or Jenna? Posted: 21 May 2017 10:42 AM PDT My real name is Jenna, but all my friends call me Jenny. I'm going to a new school this fall where I'll only know my best friend, so no one will really know the difference. But I'm really indecisive, many people don't like the name, although it makes me happy when someone calls me Jenny, but maybe i could keep going by Jenna and then when i make new friends they will end up calling me Jenny? I need help. |
Posted: 21 May 2017 10:39 AM PDT My best friend's boyfriend hasn't treated her as well as he could have in their relationship. In November, he blamed and accused her for jeopardising the relationship because she catfished him on a dating site that he is active on, plus a few other things. They live together and are still together. Me and the boyfriend used to be good friends too, but I haven't spoke to him in a very long time. I just don't feel comfortable being friends with him anymore - but we haven't spoke about it. I'm seeing him next weekend as he's attending an event me and my friends are going to - and he knows I know what's happened. I don't really know what to do really, I feel like such a burden. He's just annoyed that he hasn't seen me, without knowing why it seems. Do I just tell him that I don't feel comfortable being friends with him if he asks? Any advice would be helpful, I just don't want to cause a scene or stress anybody out. |

Question: My parents think I'm a whore.? Posted: 21 May 2017 09:53 AM PDT I hang out with my friends and I think that's ok. But yesterday I hung out with my best friend, Alyssa. And we tagged on with another group of friends. And there were two boys in that group. But I know them and they're very kind and nice. So I was hanging out, not doing anythijg bad. We went to get ice cream, my friend Alyssa left and we went to Chris' (one of the guys) balcony to all hang and eat candy and talk. It was just that. And it was only that. And then my mom and dad start calling me. Saying, "who's Chris. Get your *** home." I guess my mom called my friend Alyssa and she told them I was with Chris, and their first thought was sex or stuff like that. And my mom and dad told me to get my *** home immediately. So I did. I walked home and it was like 9 pm. And then my father was yelling at me for walking home in he dark. Which makes no sense, since he was the one who told me to get my *** home. I'm literally just done with everything. If my parents cant trust me, then how am I to have fun, normal teens have. Not sex, parties, drinking, smoking, just hanging out. I think that's pretty acceptable for a teen. |
Posted: 21 May 2017 09:47 AM PDT Throughout the years, we ve both worked hard and are serious and both strive to get better. She became captain of the team recently. It is an honor to have that title, and I respect her for her hard work and skill. I am in no way trying to compete with her for that title, but sometimes i feel like she think I may be doing that. Working hard, being nice, always helping out with team events, all things a captain would do. No one of us has ever brought it up, but I feel like it might be a silent, mental war between us for power. I do not want to compete with her, I m really doing it all just for myself. So I can be a better person. At an awards ceremony we had recently, all the graduating seniors were given a baton of leadership, which by tradition they are to hand down to the rising seniors (me and the captain) to uphold the team values for the next year. One of the seniors gave it to me (but not publicly or noticeably) but it caught the captain s eye and there was a brief moment in which she was glaring at me. That hurt me to see. That she would look at me like that. Is it possible she thinks I m undeserving of such an honor, and that she should be the one to get it? I didn t really think I deserved the baton anyway, sure, I can motivate my teammates and bid them to do good, but when it comes to skill, the captain is a lot better than me. After talking with the senior that gave it to me, we decided that it should go to the captain, and we gave it to her, which she accepted. |
Question: Can new friends ever be as good as old friends? Posted: 21 May 2017 09:40 AM PDT My group of friends are all about to go their seperate ways, the two people I'm closest to in the group are either leaving the country or live on the other side of it, and though I like them the others it won't be the same without them there. I'm 20 years old and it has taken me all my life to find a group of friends who I relate to and love, sometimes I thought I never would. This year I finally did, but now they are all leaving. It's been so fun but we've had so little time together. We'll meet up again, but it won't be the same as when I could see them regularly. I've only ever had one group of friends and I'm just wondering, is it be possible to find another group who I'll eventually come to care about as much? Of course I can't "replace" them, but is it possible for there to be another group who will understand me and make me as happy as they did? |

Question: Should I move in with my really good friend? Posted: 21 May 2017 09:19 AM PDT Okay so the other day something happened that wasn't that big of a deal but it started to make me wonder about a lot of the quirks my friend has that can upset me and how that would translate if we lived together. -really only talks to me when it's convenient for her -she steals things while i'm with her - she has driven drunk numerous times and thinks it's funny and would probably do it again -if you confront her or argue with her she doesn't let you finish talking and sort of assumes what you're thinking or what's going on in your mind that's making you act this way we both are looking at apartments in completely different ways, her plan was to just kind of look at them and when we find our favorite we will know it and my plan was to make a list of the apartments we liked and when it's time to sign leases we can revisit our top three -and based on that it made me think about how we really are very different people, there's nothing wrong with either plan but it does show how different we are I will have to have a talk with her either way but i'm basically just scared that if we live together we won't be friends anymore but if i tell her this now knowing August is approaching and that's when we plan to move in together I'm scared she won't want to be my friend because it will put her in a pickle i really treasure this friend and i want to keep her as my friend so I just don't know what to do |
Question: Am I burden to my friends? Posted: 21 May 2017 09:07 AM PDT I've been sad a lot lately, and I don't know why. It's weird, I sometimes have thoughts about suicide and sometimes I cry because I feel so sad. I try to talk to my friends about my feelings but they don't seem to care or they get annoyed. So then I stop talking to them about it bc they don't care. |

Question: Best friend is "too busy"? Posted: 21 May 2017 07:55 AM PDT So my best friend (2 years) recently started working & getting involved in community events. She has less free time, which I understand because I have always been a busy person. However, I always make time for friends and never cancel unless it s a true emergency. She cancelled our last 2 plans last minute and apologized, she acknowledged it was rude & felt bad. She also takes longer to return messages when I know she s always on her phone I'm frustrated and feel like I m on the back burner, even though I was there when she had no one. Should I stop trying so hard & just become close with other people? I don't want her to think she can blow me off & I'll be sitting around waiting |

Question: How to stop hanging out with someone? Posted: 21 May 2017 06:26 AM PDT So there Is this new friend that I have been hanging out with for about a month now. At first it was fun. But after I while he started getting an attitude. I feel like he is taking advantage of me (money wise), and that he is controlling. We are both gay and kinda like each other so we've teased about us having sex but nothing more than just regular friends have happened. Anyways I feel like we are hanging out way to much. He textes or calls me everyday. Due to the reason I stated above I want to stop hanging out with him. So I was thinking either... 1. Wait for him to text/call me first and be slow at responding and say I'm too busy to hang out 2. Provoke a ugly argument, so I could leave angrily. 3. Try to fix the isssues he has and try to work it out What do you think??? |
Question: Would you cut a friend off if he was like this? Posted: 21 May 2017 06:25 AM PDT Would you cut off a friend who has no job has been unemployed for at least 5 years and is always broke. Someone who is always asking you to buy this and that for them every time y'all go out spot them money even if they owe you money. Always asking you for handouts but doesn't do anything for you. Last year we went on a trip I booked the hotel he was suppose to pay me half but said he would at midnight then the next day he said he didn't have it. He is almost 30 and is known to be this way since we were 19. Now he is talking about going to the same trip that we went to last year that i end up paying for. I don't want to be mean but I am willing to just block and delete this guys number and throw away this 9 year friendship. Thoughts |
Question: What are some reasons as to why this person deleted me on Facebook? How to get over it? Posted: 21 May 2017 06:13 AM PDT So, to start off I am a person who always wants people to like me and wants to avoid the possibility of a person disliking me as much as possible( even though that's impossible to achieve). Anyways a friend( or perhaps closer to an acquaintance, but a little more than an acquaintance)from school(I'm in college if that is useful) has recently deleted me on Facebook and I do not know why. The last time I saw the person we were celebrating a friend's birthday party and there wasn't any animosity when we spoke with one another, which is why his decision to delete me is kind of surprising. I don't post a lot of things and I'm quite sure I haven't posted anything inappropriate either. In fact I don't really post much on Facebook. I even tried sending them another friend request, but after 24+ hours it was evident that they weren't going to accept it( especially since I saw on their page that they had been posting stuff within that time frame) My sister told me I should just get over it, but it's really bothering me( probably more than it should) and making me feel upset and making me question whether I am truly a likable person. I'm planning on treating them the same when I go back to school, but I want to know:Why could they have decided to delete me? How can I get over it? |

Question: Im madly in love, what should I do? Posted: 21 May 2017 03:29 AM PDT Im a 17 year old girl in 11th grade & I really love my friend who's a girl too. I get jealous when she talks to others & has a best friend of her own.at times that I used to ignore her she would be around me & talk to me and kinda I think she found me interesting as unfortunetly humans are interested in arrogant people but time by time she started ignoring me too & found my ignorance something cliche so it didn't work anymore so I started being nice & more mature. Unfortunetly the problem is that I don't know how actually I am!, at times I'm nice , ignorant , angry ,calm , sweet & etc ! I have a inconsistent character which is one of my main social problem that im facing. I want to have a normal & yet interesting character..And she ain't interested in girls but at times I think she is towards me ! When I give her a pen or something, she likes it when my hands touches hers as I do but idk I might be wrong .. she often compliments my beauty as everyone else does but when she does it's the special one for me.. when I wear a new shoes or have a new style with my uniform she praises it & says keep wearing it & it really suits you..she doesn't say these all in a lesbianism way , but because of my feelings towards her these all becomes too expensive through my eyes. I'm not a lesbian either &it's the first time that such thing happened to me which is the weirdest incident of my life. what should I do?I dont want a relationship, just a great friendship with her, thats it, any advice? |

Question: Should I be friends with an 'ex-friend' again? Posted: 21 May 2017 02:07 AM PDT I had an incredibly close friend, they were one of the best friends I could ask for and it was the best friendship I had ever been it. Long story short, they got mad at me when I admitted to starting to like a friend of theirs (nothing ended up happening), we had a text conversation in which I was very emotional and apologetic and they had a cold tone, but I found out through mutual friends that wasn't the intention and my friend wondered why I never replied back. Now I have to decide whether to open up that can of worms and reply back (it's been a few weeks) or not. Hard to just let go because of the fact I do miss the friendship but I am having reservations for some reason. |
