Question: My grandad had a stroke last night and I don't know what to do (read below)? Posted: 14 May 2017 01:41 PM PDT Well last night my poor grandad had a stroke and me and my family have been really upset and stressed about it ever since. I don't want this to seem like I'm thinking about myself but... I really want to make my mum and dad happier but it seems like everything I say and do makes them sad and angry. All I want is my grandad to get better and for my parents to be happier but nothing I do seems to work. I have tried cheering them up, reassuring them that he will be fine, helping as much as possible around the house and with shopping but they still seem to be stressed and annoyed at me :( should I just stay out of the way or is there something else I could do? Please help. |
Posted: 14 May 2017 01:40 PM PDT - My parents are on vacation and are going to be away for the next week and a half. - Should I give it back or keep it? - I just sent her to her room and she's crying and screaming. - I took it away because i asked her to do her homework then I saw her on her phone, I said I'm going to take it away if she keeps using it, she said she'll put it away and when I came back in her room 5 minutes later she did no homework and was still on her phone. |

Question: How can I convince my dad to live healthier? Posted: 14 May 2017 01:19 PM PDT Hello, I am 16 years old and my dad is 53. He has a very stressful job, works a lot and smokes. He works with a computer and thus he isn't that much active. Recently he flew to Turkey for his job. Today I've learned that he had a nose bleeding in the bus (he has high blood pressure but that never happened before). I am very worried about him and I cannot watch him destroying himself. I suggested him to workout with me but he always procrastinated. What can I do to convince him to live healthier? |

Question: My new step brother(14) is more mature than my 22 year old brother ? Posted: 14 May 2017 12:08 PM PDT I'm a 15 year old girl. My 14 year old step brother is more mature than my 19 year old brother. He always overreacts, treats girls like crap, complains and doesn't take many things seriously. He used to treat me like crap, bully me sometimes and even made fun of my hobbies. My step brother is a polar opposite of that. He's protective of me, smart, friendly and has patience of a saint. I have never seen him angry or mistreat anyone. He also isn't spoiled and never asks for anything(even for help) He does everything alone. We go to the same school and there's one guy in my class. He sometimes calls my step brother names, provokes him. My step brother is taller and bigger than him, so he could beat him in a heartbeat, but he never does, and no matter how he treats him, he still helped him and even got him 2 A's+ in a row in biology. I have more respect for my step brother than my real brother.. Is that normal ? I'm also starting to like him a little(he looks amazing and his personality is rare) 19 year old brother* |
Question: Who knows you better, your mom, dad or grandmother and why? Posted: 14 May 2017 12:05 PM PDT https://www.lds.org/media-library/video/2014-05-01-to-every-mother?category=topics/mothers&lang=eng&cid=HP_FR_12-5-2017_dOCS_fMLIB_xLIDyL1-A_ |
Question: Is it normal to hate your mom? Posted: 14 May 2017 12:04 PM PDT I'm 18 years old and ever since I was around 13-14, right when puberty hit, my mom and I clash every single day. She blames it on the "computer," "my friends," and everything but herself. She victimizes herself in every situation--not just with me, but everyone around her. When she found out I'm leaving to go to Europe and taking a gap year (this was about a month ago) she flipped out and she said she owns me until I'm 21 and that I'm under her rule and her house so I can't leave to another country. My dad lives in Europe, so I'd be with him. She loves to insult me--calls me worthless, stupid, a piece of crap, "why did I have you?" kind of things. She constantly berates me, then pretends she never did and that I'm at fault and that I insulted her. She said I'm going to suffer in life and one day call her crying and that she won't "pick up because I don't care what happens to you anymore." Claims I was nicer at 10 years old. She calls me stupid, yet I do her college homework since I was 15 because she never understands it, but the ungrateful **** never even thanks me for the A's she gets. I don't do it anymore; she can screw herself at this point. She said she'd "pay" me for it, but never does. I've paid some of her bills before because she's awful with money. She smokes every day multiple times INSIDE the house or the car I'm in, intoxicating me with carcinogens and sometimes on purpose. I can't STAND her. I can't stand her voice, the way she looks. Is it normal? Not only that, but she always talks about when she was my age she was a "model" and how she had a "bunch of boyfriends" all the time and all this crap. How she was so smart in school. I've seen her grades. They're mostly C's. Yesterday I asked her a question about where my birth certificate is, and she lost it and gave me some stupid explanation. After that, she flipped out on me and called me stupid. I admit, after she insulted me I insulted her back. Today, she claims I insulted her, not her. |

She was sincerely very nice but ever since then she avoids me and doesn't give me the time of day why? When ever I say hi she responds very cold. |
Question: Does it seems like once you get older life is a struggle? Posted: 14 May 2017 11:37 AM PDT As 34 yearvold man i would have to say that ive been through alot lately especially my relatives. About over 20 years ago as a kid, me and my family were doing great. Noone had health issues its like it was almost perfect. Now things changed were i had some of my relatives i grew up with either almost died or some did passed. Starting from 2007 my younger sister had cancer but got very lucky to beat it. Shes my sibling and i know she never had health issues she was 23 at the time but shes still alive and cancer free. Following in 2012 i almost lost my brother from the medications the doctors giving him that messed up his colon were his intestines had to be taking out. But he lived through icu. My grandmother from my mothers side and uncle from my fathers side passed in 2012. And i also lost another uncle my moms brother following in 2014. |
Question: My wife is a weak parent? Posted: 14 May 2017 11:31 AM PDT at least when it comes to discipline. Now, I'm no drill sgt. but, I'm firm with them( 5 & 7) if they do something wrong. My wife on the other hand, is very lenient and refuses to discipline because " it makes her sad to see them sad" so she's very much a friend. I think what frustrates me is when she undermines me. My daughter will try & sneak cookies before dinner, I'll tell her to put them back, as she's about to put them back( very pouty), my wife will swoop in with " Oh, what's the harm of cookies?" & allow a few. What do I do? |
Question: How can I comfort my sister ? Posted: 14 May 2017 11:17 AM PDT My sister really loves the Beatles. She didn't like Paul at first now she loves him he's her new favorite. She liked all of them but him now she's crazy for him. She said it's no wonder why he was the cute one. She's crying over him she said she wants to marry him. She's only 14 but she said he just got married to a 20 or 30 year old. I wouldn't think he go for a 14 year old. But with them you never know. She's crying about even worse than when she cried over Ringo. He use to be her favorite. She feels bad for them that they're the only two left. She said she had a dream about Paul last night she was married to him and having sex with him. She does this all the time she cries over each of them one day it's Ringo then the next day it's John then George now it's Paul. She can't decided. She wishes she can have all of them. She's feel really upset right now. Even though I hate them and can't stand them I still feel bad for her. How can I comfort her ? |
Question: Mother's Day when it comes to mother-in-laws? What are you suppose to do? Posted: 14 May 2017 11:08 AM PDT It's Mother's Day, and I'm not sure what is the appropriate thing to do for my mother-in-law. I was invited to their Moher's Day dinner but couldn't go because I'm sick and the grandmother is on chemo. Am I suppose to get her a card, or is that weird? I have the feeling that if I was invited that she would want one and my fiancé tells me she thinks of me as a daughter but idk if that would be weird or not. What do you guys do for your mother-in-law? |

Question: Do older people like recieving hand written letters ? Posted: 14 May 2017 10:52 AM PDT I am writing my Bestfriend who lives across the country a sweet letter and sending it in the mail. She's an older woman. I'm a bit worried because it's really long, although it's an extremely special important letter. She said she enjoys reading my letters but this is the longest. It's 3 1/2 pages. I'm just worried. It's sweet and is expressing what an impact she had on my life as a mentor and what things I had gone through, how she's helped me to over come everything and all that I've learned. Would you have recieving a long letter in the mail? |
Question: My mother treats me different? Posted: 14 May 2017 10:52 AM PDT I get it I'm not the best at times, or helpful so is my sister but she gets treated kindly then I do. I don't know how ever start but only I know is that my mother isn't hard on my sister, when my sister doesn't wanna do something she says no, and my mother doesn't bother to get her to say yes. But when it comes to me there's no, she doesn't understand it or take me serious, she continues to keep asking me since I don't have the heart to hear someone beg I give up and do what she wants me to do. my mother asks me to clean the house, even though it's my sisters and I get it sometimes she's at school special in her last year, but when my mom asks her to clean the house when it's my turn and I'm at college she's says no, then she goes in her room and does nothing, And my mother doesn't nothing. Everything she does for me she holds t against me, when we fight, she says how my sister is better then me, how I do nothing but special for her. Everyone walks on me and I say nothing and when I do, they say hurt things that just makes me want to disappear. Nothing has ever went gone wrong in any of my sisters or my brothers, I'm the one who had bad things happen to them at young age, im the one who truly had enough with this cruel world. And no one ever tries to make it easy for me, they make it worst. I have alway kept things to myself, and still do. All i do is clean and clean, I'm 17, and my sister is 16. I'm not even that older then her and she gets treated better me. |
Posted: 14 May 2017 10:39 AM PDT I just want to put it out there that I treat him with the utmost respect, and it seems that he incapable of doing the same to me and my two brothers. He always throws a baby fit if he doesn't get his way. One example of this is when we were out walking our dogs. It was me, my stepdad, and my little brother. My dog, Laika, is VERY protective of me and doesn't like when other dogs go near me, so when we saw a dog that didn't have a leash on, we told him that we had to turn around. He then proceeded to try and force us to keep going so my brother and I just turned around and began to walk home. He eventually followed us and when we got home he kept calling us "annoying, spoiled brats". Anyways, back to the hair. I got my hair cut yesterday and since then he has been making comments like "Oh my god Hannah, what did you do to your hair?" "Your hair looks so weird" "Why would you do that? you look so stupid now" I don't think he realizes how much those comments hurt me, and I am now in my room crying while I should be celebrating mothers day with my family. Meanwhile, he is out in the living room trying to make ME sound like the bad guy. I don't want to say anything to my mom because when my older brother did, it put a serious strain on their relationship. My stepdad always, ALWAYS is putting my mom before us, and don't you think that if he were the "best stepdad" he claims to be, he would be including us kids first? |
Question: What should I do? PLEASE HELP! (It's long)? Posted: 14 May 2017 10:35 AM PDT I'm 21 living, living with my mum and her husband(I've been dealing with the death of my child). They have been married for about 2 years, and knew each other for 3-4 years before that. He is ruining my mum so much. He has lots of mental issues from before and after being in the army. He tells my mum "now I see why your past boyfriends beat you up" and "now I see why you got raped". He told her she is not a woman because she can't give him a kid. My mum is 10 years older than him and is having health problems. He hates my youngest sister, who is 12, because she was able to be born "not that long ago" and now no other kid can be born. He tells her that she's a whore because she has 6 children, even though he has 2 of his own. I heard mum crying on the phone to her bestfriend that she wanted to take all the pills in the cabinet. I've NEVER known her to be suicudal. She's not happy anymore. She is a stay-home wife. Her husband told her he didn't want her to work. I enrolled in my local community college and my school counselor told me I can't have a job if I'm schooling fulltime, especially with Honors classes. Bottom line is, we depend on him. Which I hate. I really want her to leave him, but what would we do? Where would we go? We don't have any relatives homes we could go to. I don't want my little sister in a homeless shelter, and we don't have anyone who'd take her in. I'll quit school, I'll get a job, but it wouldn't be enough to support us since mum can't work. |
Question: Should I tell my mom about this? Posted: 14 May 2017 10:22 AM PDT My high school only had classes for a half day so my friend Ann invited me to join her and her dad for lunch. I said yes. I though we might go to Mc Donalds or maybe Sizzler. Was I surprised when we went to Ruth Chris. It was the best meal I think I ever had. Her dad said I look familiar to him and he ask me if we had met. I told him no. I would sure remember if I had ever met him. What a hot and sexy guy. He said perhaps it is your mother I have met. What is her name? When I told him, he said I don't know anyone by that name. What was her maiden name. When I told him he had a big smile on his face. He said "I went to high school with your mom". Tell her Joe Jones (not his real name) says hello. What is she doing now? Thinking it might be fun to tell mom I had a dinner date with an old boyfriend of hers, I asked him if he ever dated my mom in high school. He smiled and said no, I asked her for a date a few times and she turned me down every time. What was my mom thinking turning down a date from a GREAT LOOKING GUY? My first thought was to tell mom about this lunch when I got home. After giving it more thought, I am not sure she would want to hear about it. Moms, please give me some advice on what I should do. Would you want to hear about my lunch date? I don't want to make my mom feel bad. |
Question: How will I gain weight when food finishes quickly in my household? Posted: 14 May 2017 10:16 AM PDT I m 19. I live with my parents and my 2 younger sisters and brother, so there s 6 of us. I m trying really hard to gain weight after losing it in my last year of secondary due to depression and because it s my uncle s wedding in August, I m in even more of a hurry to do it before then. But it s hard when most of the time there s hardly much food in the house that will help me do this (apart from basics like bread etc) but today there s not even any bread 😕. There would be a lot of good food one day, and then everything is finished within a maximum of 3 days. I also asked my mum if I could do the shopping because I wanted to cook my own things because sometimes she d cook stuff I didn t like, so sometimes I d take turns in cooking (when I do the shopping) but then it s all gone within a couple of days and my mum only lets me spend £40 a week, is that enough? Because it doesn t feel enough for me, especially with siblings (my brother especially) as greedy as they are. By the way, I don t earn enough at work for me to buy shopping that lasts a whole week (especially for the whole house) I use most of it for transport. What should I do because I m not being consistent enough with trying to gain weight because of this. |
Question: Prom Present Ideas for my Brother?? Posted: 14 May 2017 09:54 AM PDT My brothers prom is next month and I want to get him a present for it cos he s working hard at his GCSEs and I just want to get him something nice, any ideas??? |
Question: Moved out with cousin.. his gf became a permanent house guest. Am i being? Posted: 14 May 2017 09:49 AM PDT He said she'd be coming by to visit a lot and I was fine with that.. but since the second week of moving in, she never left. He had never discussed her "moving in" with us with me. He says that he's had a hard time moving out and in trying to save money, cook home meals, living like an adult basically since he's always lived with his parents. Here's the thing: I work overnight shifts so I am either working or sleeping, rarely see them. he is handicap but in the sense that his arms and toes are curved inwards a little.. still capable of doing a lot on his own. I felt guilty over not being able to help him around as i told his mother i would. it's a one bedroom so they sleep in the living room and i took the bedroom (light sleeper). Gf doesn't have a job, any money, and is an illegal immigrant.. searching for nanny jobs. here's what really bugs me though -- I work overnight 4 nights a week but they have sex in the living room when I'm home even tho he said he wouldnt. he agreed from the start that they'd never do anything while i was home. and i told them the walls are very thin. they had sex the second week of living here and it pissed me off and grossed me out. it's one thing when it's like friends or like your frat bros or something -- but he's related to me/very close so i felt bothered. confronted him about it and he said they didn't do anything. AGAIN last night they were doing stuff and I said i can hear them :( Is it completely wrong for me to feel grossed out? Or shouuld i just ignore it and let these 30 something year olds live their lives and not be a big baby about it? I just think he's being completely inconsiderate as my roommate and his "adulting issues" is just a way to make me feel bad (i think it's just laziness on his part and he's not as responsible with is money). one thing to have her move in without telling me and then not to listen to me when i say something bugs me. Background: I think he just gets like.. tunnel vision when he gets a girlfriend and doesn't see how his relationships or behaviors affect others around him. Even something like this that's so small. His last gf was 20 years older than him and yet he was still paying her bills and bought her a phone w/ a plan. introduced her at a family event-baby shower to make some kind of statement to family bc obviously he's the center of the universe |
Question: How can I help my husband? Posted: 14 May 2017 09:28 AM PDT As any parent you believe that your child is the most beautiful thing to ever grace the earth my husband often worries about when our 1yr old grows up she will get heartbroken and lied to by guys or whoever she chooses to date I've told him it's bound to happen at some point but were just going to be there for her I worry that his anxiety about this is way too intense for something that may or may not happen for 13+ years before he met he admits he was a horrible guy to a lot of women could it be his fear that she will meet a guy like he use to be |
Question: Is my mom being extreme or am I just sensitive? Posted: 14 May 2017 09:10 AM PDT So the other day I took a long time to pick out my clothes for the day because I was going to a party. When I came out of my room my mom said "those shorts look really bad on you" and I was like "um what? They look fine?" And she goes "maybe I just don't like shorts on you in general" then later that night she was supposed to pick me up at 9:00 and at 9:20 she still wasn't there, so I called her. When she picked up I said "why haven't you picked me up yet?" And she says "oh sorry I completely forgot about you" and I was like "so are u coming?!" And she goes "well I just ordered a pizza so let me finish that then I'll eventually be on my way" so she comes rolling up around 10:00 and I was soo embarrassed. Am I just being sensitive or is this on my mom?? |

Question: How is Mother's Day harder than a birthday or Christmas? Posted: 14 May 2017 08:15 AM PDT Mt buddy and i are in the navy about to stay on a 7 month deployment asea. Do right now we are on leave. I'm an x foster kid. My gran raised me until she had a stroke. She died 3 years later when i was14. I miss het but it gets easier b sip I'm done being really sad about her death. My buddy just lost his mom about two years ago. It want s stroke but something else went wrong in her brain. I get the idea that she was perfectly healthy one minute and dead the next. So i have no place top hip on leave do i went home with him. Today is mother's day and his mom is buried at his church. I guess it doesn't matter but he and his whole family is über religious. Anyway he was placing flowers on her grave today and kind of broke down for a few minutes. His dad asked if he was ok. He said he would be. The he said mother's day was harder than her birthday or Christmas. It is his hardest day of the year. For me cherishing was always hardest because i was with a family that i really want part of. I don't mean Mt foster parents were man or anything but no matter what you're still not their kid and that's just the way it is. Mother's day was not that big of a deal. So it surprised me that for him Mother's Day is the hardest day of the year. It also doesn't make sense top me. What am i noising or is this kind of thing different for everybody? |

Posted: 14 May 2017 07:24 AM PDT My parents have fed the other dog so much that he died from pancreatitis. But that's okay, because it's their dog? It's okay for the dog to suffer and die because of my parents' bad ownership? If I ask my mother to have the dog, she will absolutely say NO. I have asked her many times and she claims it's her dog every time. So there's no use in talking to her. I even offered to pay for the dog and everything else. Some background information: I'm 24 years old, I'm working part time and I just graduated with a bachelors. However, my parents want to move and I do not want to come with them nor leave the dog with them. This is the most difficult part of moving out for me. I feel like if I mentioned moving out and taking the dog with me, I would get a big "absolutely not" thrown in my face. Has anyone successfully moved out and taken pets with them? Specifically pets that technically belong to the parents? Is this completely impossible? To everyone that wants to complain why I'm "mooching" or living at my parents house for so long, I only stayed with my parents this long because I had school. if I wanted to "mooch" off then, I wouldn't return their car and phone while moving out and then ask for their help? I'm moving without without their support, how is that mooching? Also, there's also no reason for me to stay at my parents house once I graduated at 24 so I'm not sure why you people think I'm lying about getting my degree. I am very AWARE that I can get my own dog. So many people have told me this and even my parents, I GET IT. But I am attached to the dog and he's attached to me! I want this dog! |
Question: Do you have a mother who's alive you won't be wishing a Happy Mother's Day? Posted: 14 May 2017 07:17 AM PDT I wish my Mom were still alive so I could wish her one. I hope for all those who are estranged from your mothers, you will be able to make their day a happy one. I know there sometimes are cases where that can't happen & that's sad. Hope eventually everyone works out with that. |

Question: How can I make my parents talk to their grandchildren? Posted: 14 May 2017 06:44 AM PDT To make a long story short, I refused an arranged marriage and married my girlfriend. They didn't even come to the wedding. Anyhow, now my son wants to meet his grandparents, who won't have anything to do with us. What can we do? |

Question: Can a baby die from his Mother's Milk? Posted: 14 May 2017 05:34 AM PDT My 68 father believes that he is at fault for his sister dying about 66 years ago. He said that he fell down the stairs and his Mom was so frightened that it may have tainted the Breast milk leading to his sister to die |
Question: Do you believe that everyone is related? Posted: 14 May 2017 05:29 AM PDT E.g. Some random boy walking past is my 109,674th cousin? |
Question: Treat my stepdaughter like a friend or daughter? Posted: 14 May 2017 05:13 AM PDT My new girlfriend has a baby girl (5 years old), and I'm a little nervous about meeting her as I am not exactly sure how to behave around kids and what the correct protocol is with them. For example, can I give her kisses and call her sweetheart/princess? Or is that something only her father can do? Do i help with sensitive stuff when her mother can't such as giving her baths? All of this seems a little weird to me. Should I try to be her friend or a second father figure? Her mother still talks to her dad, and they share custody so he is not out of her life. |

Question: Do older people like recieving hand written letters in the mail? Posted: 14 May 2017 01:01 AM PDT I am writing my Bestfriend who lives across the country a sweet letter and sending it in the mail. |
Question: How can I be liked by everyone again? Posted: 14 May 2017 12:43 AM PDT How can I get everyone back? Basically me and my cousin don't get on because she was talking to my ex boyfriend. Me and my aunty don't get on because we always argue over my mum- my mum stirs the pot a lot too and is very two faced. My cousin subsequently starting going out with another guy I'd been involved with a few years later too and I told him what my cousin was like. I don't know what lies were told about me but everyone took my cousins side and turned against me. Me and my aunty continued to argue as she was the ring leader along with my cousin in dirtying my name over a number of months. Now none of my cousins including her children speak to me, none of my family speak to me, my own brother is turning against me and my aunty and cousin tht have hurt me are loved by everyone. I used to be doing well and hang out with my cousins now I sit at home depressed and my cousin that has hurt me hands out with everyone. My friends that were friends of the family don't talk to me and my own mum hasn't stuck up for me. Naturally this is making me very depressed and has ruined my life, what can I do?:( Ps. I've argued with my aunty because she is always being nasty to me or about me, my mum will be nice to my face and then ***** about me to my aunty and my cousin knew I still loved my ex. |
Posted: 14 May 2017 12:02 AM PDT My mom hates me first of all, she likes sons, obviously, and she snitches me to my mean dad who does drugs which puts him a bad mood. And in my parents' old country there is this trend where fat and curvy women are beautiful and skinny is not. I am not fat shaming and all that. I like my skinny body and I want to keep it that way. My parents likes to shove their ideals down my throat. They always boss me around on almost everything. From what I wear, to what I eat. I do wear hijab but they dictate what type and color and all that. I am vegan, I don't meat shame meat eaters. I mind my business. Since Ramadan is coming, they are more mean and grouchy. Last Ramadan, my dad was praying after breaking fast, my mom said in a loud voice where he could hear; "Name, why aren't you eating that." I replied I already ate and I am full and I told her to stop trying to make me fat. My dad quickly finished his prayer then immediately went to the closet to get at coat hanger and came back and start wacking me with it. I wish they both die but I don't want to be homeless. If I was rich enough; I would be solid in wishing them death. I sometimes hate Allah for giving me crappy parents. I know some people are worse than I but I don't care. I have a general bad life without comparison and without comparing to other's it is not as bad but still bad. I cannot tattoo it, I cannot show it. I want to be skinny for myself. This is my body. If i am showing my body then those losers can complain. |
Question: I'm fed up of being this way. i want to change but i don't know how? Posted: 13 May 2017 11:54 PM PDT i'm just a shame for my family. i'm a 21 years old girl without a job because i'm an introvert person and also very shy around people. i can't talk to them or if i do i can't keep the conversation going which soon turns into an awkward silence. And for that matter i always messes up in job interviews. i get super nervous that i can't talk and stutter a lot resulting not being selected. But today my brother told me that he is ashamed of me and when people ask him about what i'm doing he feels ashamed to answer them that i'm just at home. which i understand why he would feel so but the fact that he told me that straight to my face hurts a lot. i never wanted to be a shame for my family but i guess that's what i'm doing. I didn't go to college because i don't know what to take as major and i don't want to waste my parents money on something i'm not sure of. All i want now is just to disappear from this world. i feel useless and i don't even know why i'm putting this here.. i want to die. i'm doing nothing good to the world despite just being a burden. |
Question: How do I get cigarettes if I am not old enough to buy them? Posted: 13 May 2017 11:49 PM PDT Before I start I just want to say that I don't ain't want to hear you say stuff like it's bad for me and all of that crap cause Idc, so anyways... I'm 13 and I always see little kids in my neighborhood that are like 10 years old and they are smoking cigarettes, I am always wondering where they get them from, I know they can't buy them because they are too young... I've been smoking cigarettes daily because my friend gave me a pack but I'm all out of them, I am too nervous to ask him where he got them, I really need cigarettes. Where do I get them? How do young people get them? I found one on the street today but that was just one, where do they get packs? Is it easy? |
Question: How do I find my daughter's fake social media accounts? Posted: 13 May 2017 11:38 PM PDT My 13 year old daughter has been getting into conflicts with a 17-18 year old. They accused each other of doing things and got into several fights that included sexual and violent language. I just discovered that my daughter was on this strange app called ask.fm where kids can anonymously write messages to each other. I saw disturbing messages coming from my daughter telling the older girl that she was 'too stupid' to get into any colleges, calling her names, putting her down and telling her she's not worth anything. I told her that bullying is not okay and took away her Internet access. She knows she's not supposed to make any social media accounts without my permission anyways. On the other hand, the older girl has been swearing at her and doing the same things my daughter was doing to her. As a parent, I don't care who "started it". My daughter might be feeling threatened that someone a few years older is fighting her. Frankly, I am very upset that she said some horrible things to this girl. If they can't get along with each other, I think it's best to seperate them and have little interactions with each other online and in person. I have personally never met this girl and I don't know how this started in the first place. I want to make sure that my daughter is not secretly using any other social apps without parental consent because she could easily use library computers and friends' phones. |
Question: Is there a way to avoid the "bratty teenager" stage? Posted: 13 May 2017 11:36 PM PDT Yes, I do have Asian parents, so I don't want them to be mad. Anyway, I'm thirteen, and my parents are always mad at me, which makes me mad and roll my eyes when they aren't looking. Even when I was younger, I was scared of becoming a teen before just because of this, and now I'm afraid it's happening.😭 But that doesn't mean I'm a bad student.. Like I said, I have Asian parents, so I do have all As and 3.9 gpa. But is there a way to not have that one stage where you hate your parents? |
Question: Am I allowed to be mad about this? Posted: 13 May 2017 11:20 PM PDT My parents are divorced and my dad bought me a new phone a few months ago. I don't really hide much from my parents. I don't lie to them and I'm not a bad kid. I don't date because they don't want me to I don't smoke or drink because I know they don't want me to. They each have rules and I usually follow them. If they want to know something I will tell them the truth. Recently I found out my dad and stepmom have been logging into my Facebook (I've had the same password since I made it so my dad knows my Facebook password and phone password. My dads been acting strange and he'll ask something's that he'd only know if he went through my messages. For example, I asked my mom not to get drunk one night and the next day he said "someone told me you were asking your mom not to drink last night". It's not my mom telling him because they hate each other and have no contact whatsoever. I love my dad and I normally wouldn't be mad but some of my messages to my mom were about me being depressed and about me and my stepmom not getting along or me arguing with my mom about her drinking a lot. He's been reading all of my personal messages and I get that he's my dad and he bought the phone and he has the right to know everything but I'm 15 and I just feel like I can't trust him anymore. Am I allowed to feel like this? |
Posted: 13 May 2017 10:53 PM PDT My sister, 19, is in love with her drug head boyfriend. She is pregnant and doesn't have a job, he works at some unusual place. They barely make any money and are always having to ask my parents to help support them. Their car just broke down, costing my parents 600 dollars, although they say they didn't have to pay for it, which I know they did by reading text messages saying "Daddy, are we going to have to pay for the car, we only have 500 and we have rent first. Can you do it?" My parents are constantly telling me and my sister no, we don't have much food at our house, I ask them to go to the store and they say we have no money. But low and behold 5 minutes later they are giving into my sisters bullshit. My sister literally only calls them if she needs anything. My mom's birthday just passed and she didn't even tell my mother happy birthday, but me and my other sister are there to praise her and even bought her presents. I am done with my parents giving into my sisters bullshit and lying to us about how much money they give to her. Oh and one more thing, they have bailed her out of jail 3 times. |

Posted: 13 May 2017 09:46 PM PDT I don't like sharing my room, especially with people who make such a mess in it. I'm 16 I have my own room live with my parents in a house of two rooms. My brother moved out the age of 18 and is 22. So this room is basically mine. He comes every Saturday and kicks me out, and whenever his girlfriend is here and I tell them to sleep in the leaving room she says something along the lines of "I rather go home where I have a bed". I don't like many people in my room they're filthy and don't clean up they eat inside my room and cause a mess and I'm tired of it. Whenever I tell them to leave my room they don't which irrates me what should I do? I tried talking to my parents but they don't care |

Question: Am I the only one that doesn't have a proper mom and family? Posted: 13 May 2017 09:20 PM PDT It's mother's day in my country and I'm stuck here thinking, why I just so happened to have a mom that gave up on me ten years ago. I miss the feeling of having a motherly figure and having a mom who cares about you. I lost my dad last year, and I miss the feeling of having a dad too. I miss having a proper family. I feel like I know how upset orphans would feel. |
Posted: 13 May 2017 09:18 PM PDT I'm a 15 year old boy and my cousin is a 14 year old boy. Everytime we're together, we watch porn and masterbate together. We get naked and sit side by side and we give ourselves a hj. We don't touch each other. Everytime we masterbate together, he ends up ejaculating all over himself, where as, I make it to the bathroom and ejaculate in the toilet. The last time we masterbated together (about two weeks ago), he got some of his *** on my leg. After he went to the bathroom to clean the *** off of himself, I got curious about how his *** tasted. I ended up licking his *** off of my knee cap. It tasted so good. Since then, I've been fantasizing over sucking his penis and swallowing his ***, I've even had dreams about swallowing his ***. He's coming to stay for a week after school gets out and we will masterbate together at least once a day. The next time we masterbate together, would he let me suck his penis and swallow his *** if I ask him? If he says no, would he tell our parents? |
Question: My parents won't teach me how to drive? Posted: 13 May 2017 09:15 PM PDT So I'm 18 and have my permit but I can't find anyone to drive with. My stepmom won't teach me how to drive and my dad doesn't live with me. My real mom is long gone. I don't have any relative that lives near me and I don't really have any friends. All the one I ask said no. I would go to a driving school but the prices are outrageous. Like I'm a good kid and I'm responsible but I want to learn how to drive. I feel depressed since it's the only thing I want but I can't find someone to do it. Does anyone know where to get driving lessons for cheap? Any advice will be appreciated. |
Question: Why did I get put in such a stuck up extended family? Posted: 13 May 2017 09:13 PM PDT I sometimes observe other families together and they are so chill. Where as, whenever my cousins visit, my mom pulls me a side and literally coaches me on how I should sound and talk when I speak to them as if they are members of Britian's royal family. She tells me not to talk about things like what I'm interested in like Iron Man or cosplaying disney princesses and female super villains like cat woman because they they make fun of me because "all of that is immature after a while" I always have to just discuss school and what degree I'm planning on and I have to use big words otherwise I sound like a "child". Holidays in my family are always dreaded because of it. I feel like crying... I'm always judged harshly by my parents. My mom always says "this cousin of yours already has her masters degree at 22. Where is your associates at least?" I'm so tired of it I feel like having a breakdown. They don't realize most people are like me because all of my cousins are arrogant and have no sense of what it is to let lose.... :'( I just can't wait til I get my associates degree just to shut my mom up because all that matters in this **** family are degrees. Once I get it I don't even plan on using it... what I really want to do is cosplay. To make me feel better, who does it look like I'd be able to cosplay first? Be gentle, I'm really insecure about myself enough already... |

Question: I hate my family, They hate me too.? Posted: 13 May 2017 08:44 PM PDT Hello call me by my fake name "Tim" I just wanna ask if it's normal to hate my family? I'm 14 btw. Some of my family members are just so rude to me (I don't wanna say who they are). They blame me for almost every bad stuff that is happening in the house, Like when something is broken they're gonna shout at me and ask if I did it or not and some of them even told me that I don't belong to live with them that I should just go some place else, And they even said some harshful words to me that sometimes I can't take and when I get all angry and stuff they're gonna shout at me even more and telling me that I need to leave this house and live on the streets, One of my family members even told me that I'm not going to go to school anymore if I keep destroying and being angry and stuff......like I have'nt reck any stuff on this stupid house and I'm just being angry cause they always blames me for stuff I did'nt do...Like I tried explaning it to them but they won't let me. It's been happening a lot lately and sometimes I just can't take it no more...I wanna kill myself...but thankfully because I'm a "Geek" I've always thought on if I killy myself I can't watch the new Comic book movies that are coming out and I can't read any more comics so yeah thankfully I have those to keep me somewhat happy in my mind...But sometimes my family makes fun of me for being weird and loving comics...Man I hate them!!! So plz answer me and try and make me feel better I guess......... |
