I'm 21 and had my first ever pap last month (a little late for my first one yes, I know) and it came back positive for hpv. I think I either got it from a partner in the past, or my boyfriend was a carrier from someone else and didn't know it. I've been with my boyfriend for almost a year and we have never cheated on eachother, but he's the only one I've had sex with without using a condom because I've been on the pill. Neither him nor I have shown any symptoms, hence why I had no idea I had it and why I'm pretty shocked with the diagnosis. My doctor isn't too concerned and even said she doesn't need to see me until my next exam in a year and doesn't need me to come in for a follow up since it's so mild. Should I tell him about it, or should I let it go for now since it's such a mild case and should clear up on its own?
