Posted: 16 Nov 2017 07:36 PM PST I am getting married in Spain. My birth certificate has a small error. In the city I am born on the birth certificate it says Laguan Hills, instead of Laguna Hills. Does this make a huge difference when getting married? Everything else is correct. |

Question: Is it rude to ask wedding guests to pay for accommodations that you provide? Posted: 16 Nov 2017 07:28 AM PST My fiance and I have family coming from out of town for the wedding, and we only have a 1 bedroom apartment. To save money, we're renting a large home (10-ish bedrooms) on the beach where we'll host both the wedding and the reception. I want to let people stay there, and I'll be providing at least 3 of the meals, but it's quickly beginning to stretch our budget. Would it be out of line to put in the invitations "A limited number of private suites available on location for $50/night"? If that seems inappropriate, I CAN provide rooms for free, but it might mean I'll have to make cuts in other areas. Note that most of the people coming in are fairly well off and would be getting a hotel room anyways, plus probably a rental car to get to and from the festivities. |

Question: Does the rule "No kids at the wedding" still apply if the groom is the father? Posted: 15 Nov 2017 03:48 PM PST So I was invited to the wedding of a friend I used to date. The invitation had "No kids" printed on it. However, I'm not sure if that applies to me. The friend in question is the father of one of my kids. Do I not bring the kid? Seems weird to not have your kids at your wedding. Do I bring just the groom's kid? That might make my other kid feel left out. Or do I bring both? I don't really want to call because I'm sure the bride doesn't want to hear from/think about me any more then necessary. I'm a little surprised I was invited...wondering if the assumption was I'd bring the kid. I don't want to call because the groom and bride share a phone. Might get awkward. |

Question: Engagement presents, do they have to be good quality? Posted: 14 Nov 2017 06:38 PM PST My boyfriends sister recently got engaged and they are having an engagement party. She had a list of gift ideas that they want, my boyfriend and I recently bought a house and it's Christmas time so lots of money is being spent already. I've never had to buy an engagement present so I'm unsure of what quality they have to be, for example they want towels. Would target quality be fine or it has to be something like linen house? Thank you |
