Need some help finding ways to get through to my mom! Actions, silver tongue, whatever! I'll confront her nicely and say that it hurts my feelings and I don't appreciate it, but she just says she doesn't care and continues on rambling. She's always saying that it's my fault for her complaining and to stop making stupid mistakes. Well sorry if I'm making these so called "stupid" mistakes, can you help me with them instead of complaining and being such a stubborn woman about it? when i was 18 and my older sister 20 she had her first boyfriend, and he was cheating on her with me for about 3 months before he told her he prefers me over her and left her for me, and since that day she hates me and doesnt want to talk to me, she is just acting like a big baby. I notice that my daughter is used to speaking in half sentences that doesn't make sense or slang. I was quite alarmed when I heard herself saying she was "scamming" (or "stalking"?) someone but I realized she meant a WHOLE different word! Apparently it means to look at someone's profile. I will be perfectly honest and say that our parents are terrible parents. My mom got pregnant with my sister when she was 42 and has never looked after her despite claiming to be her mom. Pretty much from the day she came home, I have looked after her. She calls our mom. mom but in everywhere that matters, I have been her mom. I have looked after her since I was 17 and now I am 24, I am moving into my own house and I want to take my sister with me. I currently live with my son, mother in law, and her boyfriend in Philadelphia. My husband is stationed out in Fort Benning, Georgia, and isn t too sure is he will spend the holidays with us, due to his schedule. He will not be with us for Thanksgiving, and I am just trying to plan ahead with the Christmas holiday and New Years Eve coming up. Last year, we spent Christmas Eve in New York with my parents and drove back down to Philly to spend Christmas Day with my husband s family. Luckily, Christmas falls on a Monday so I am planning on taking an additional day off from work on Tuesday (the 26th). I prefer to spend Christmas in NYC, not only because its my family, but because there are more things to do in NYC during that time of year. If my husband does come up for Christmas, I was thinking of spending the 23rd and the 24th with his family in Philly and then driving up to NYC for the 25th and the 26th. I am asking you guys if you think there is another alternative, but I honestly want to see my folks in NYC as well. What do you think? I should add that although I live together with my mother in law at the moment, I don't particularly like our relationship, because everything is a business with her, and she is very materialistic and criticizes the way that I take care of my son (1.5 years old) sometimes.

Ever since I was a young girl, my father used to tell me that he will kill me For any mistake I mad. It does not matter what i did, it deserved death or a good punch in the face. Hey, I come here looking for some serious advice from people with similar cases and some experience. I am 27 year old man who still live with his parents. I have three sisters and one brother, we all live in the same house. I am a High School drop out, tried to get GED but I left mid way, I have no job, I play too much video videos games and watch anime, I am overweight and Anti Social to make matter worse. Is not like I don't feel good speaking with people, but I keep quiet to my own. I worked for a few years but I quit. Lately the idea of moving out have crossed my mind, living alone, choosing my OWN path in life, no more leaving the decisions to other people(parents). They are good people, but deep inside it hurts me and I feel like my only life is going away and I don't choose my own path. I would like to move out and live my own life, but like you can see, I can't even write a proper paragraph. I have around seven thousand dollars in savings, but with my low level skill I think that is not enough to leave home and be independent. Honestly, what is her problem? She's been making fun of me, belittling me, and being a jerk to me. Today, i asked her if she should get me a piece of gum, and she said yes. Im 20 in January and my girlfriend is 20 in February. We are both in a one year college course to get us the points we need to get into a proper college next year. Im going Game Development and she is doing Child Care. The college we want to go to is about 1 hour from where we are in a good day with no traffic. 2 or more hours with traffic. My girlfriends parents dont want her to continue her education because they think its a waste of time and that she should just get a job. We need to try convince them to let her continue her education. Any tips for that one? My parents want me to get a bus to the college every day which will cost a ton ofmoney. The accommodation is organised by the college, its only 10 or 20 mins away from the college depending on how early you get you sort it out. The rent is extremely cheap because its organised by the college and if we needed to we have friends who could stay in the accommodation with us to split up the rent. I think we are both old enough and mature enough to move out, both of us have proved to our parents that we are able to get jobs and look after our selfs like adults (by the way, over here your counted as an adult as soon as you urn 18). My mam said that i need to pay for things around the house now since im old enough. But that doesn't make sense to me, if i have to pay for things around the house would it not make more sense to move out and look after myself? How am i going to lern to live on my own if im stuck kiving with them?

I love my mother, and had many good memories. for some reason im not in control of, the ones that always come back to me and especially in my dreams are the bad ones. I have this one in particular that has been repressed and now that i remember how ir eally felt, i get the worst panic, anxious, hateful and horrifying feeling. this is what happened, briefly: My mother got pregnant at 18 and my dad was also young so never took care of me back then. however, when i was about 3 my mum had a boyfriend who acted like my father. he was basically my father for the next few years. we travelled together a lot and many good things happened. but, he was got really drunk almost every night. my mum is already crazy and bursts out agressively like a bipolar idiot for small reasons, so there s been a few times id wake up with them fighting like crazy and hurting each other. but then, one day my mother left him and got with another man. ( i dont remember this, my dads side of the family, as always, tells me these horrible things) my step father came home (after he was kicked out already) and found them having sex. then i just remember waking up to this fighting again but this time it was much worse, my mum picked me up and put me in the car running away and crying, and we went to my grandparents house (my dads parents, not my mothers...) she wanted to drop me off there, but my step father followed. I just remember hearing him beating the **** out of her and people yelling for help... and yeah, i just heard thigns like my aunty screaming for my stepdad to stop and thinking "my father and my mother, killing each other, my whole life is over, why" and intense feelings of anxiety. I also witnessed my mother being hit and get into violent fights with all her boyfriends because she is crazy. at one point ive put my fist up to her yelling that ill break every bone in the body because of how crazy she is. recently, she got beat up twice by her recent boyfriend and... Hello I am in a very tight spot. My father in law has passed away and it has been very hard. We moved in right away into my fiancé's old room with our 7month old baby. My fiancé's mom sleeps on the couch or with us. She can't be alone. I get that we have to be there for her, i do. But he is now talking about moving in fully. Ok he is emotional abusive always has been even with my nephew who is 2 the most recent what has happened he got upset for my nephew pooping when my brother was eating, it's not like he can control when he poops my nephew was even crying I held him after him changing his diaper tell he stopped. Now my mom is emotional abusive to just not as bad as him she used to be worse years ago maybe that's why but it somehow didn't pass on to me? I pay attention to how people treat me if I don't like it I try not to be like them, I try to help my nephew stop crying in a nice way tell he calms down sometimes he doesn't that's how bad my brother can be, I remember him treating me that way when I was younger still does but I got more control. Honestly is there anyway I can stop this? I am so sick of it I almost smacked my brother a lot of times. Sometimes I'm to the point I don't care about jail and think of just doing it tell he cries, emotional abuse is just like physical abuse.

My dad is a firefighter and I have a ride along with him soon at his fire department. I'm 18 and my dad has been a firefighter for about 30 years. My dad is constantly questioning my behavior and how to act at the fire department. I told him I realize the situation that on a ride along you are doing all the cleaning, dishes, helping with equipment and such. Not a problem. My dad then brings up how to act accordingly and I agreed with him. Just now we had an argument over whether or not I'll say something stupid or do something stupid and I told him I'm planning on doing anything they have me do and I only speak when I'm being talked to and such. . He tells me that if he didn't tell me how to act then I'd be screwed at the department. Even though I was the one who described how I plan on acting in the first place. Creating an argument out of nothing. He raises his voice and treats me like I'm a child and I continue to speak to him as a respectful as possible and he bursts into anger. Telling me everything I've said is wrong. As if to prove my point he tells me I'm still a child who will lie about random **** and ramble my mouth. He doesn't acknowledge the fact that I've grown up and I've actually learned to think independently in this world. I may not have my own house but I have a damn good set of morales and common sense. Which he believes is false and nothing has ever proved him otherwise cause he never gave a **** to give me a chance.

I live in a house with other family members and I buy food with my ebt food snaps that's for me only. Sometimes they take the food that I buy because we share the cabinets and shelves and they don't know any better. What do I do about it? What about juices and drinks? Frozen food?
