I texted him the evening of the night after the first date and told him that I wanted to see him again and he enthusiastically set up another date. We've been going out for about 4 weeks now. I think he likes me because when we're together, we have a lot of fun together, we laugh, we joke around, we can talk about things, but we both have a hard time opening up and we both said that. I've opened up to him about some things, and he's opened up to be about some things. But we don't text much outside of seeing each other and planning to see each other. Most of the time, texting is just to plan and set up the next time to see each other. Sometimes he starts it and sometimes I start it. He takes a long time in between to respond (sometimes I take a long time too), but he always responds. One time, he texted me just to say hi and we ended up setting up another date. Another time I texted him just to say hi, and he responded like a minute later (very unusually fast) and told me he thought I was cute. Sometimes I can't tell if he wants to have a relationship with me. I know we're exclusive because we've already had that conversation. But I want to ask him if we're just casually dating, or if we're boyfriend/girlfriend, or none of the above? How do I ask him or start the conversation? Is it too soon to talk about what we are? The main thing is that sometimes he'll go 2-3 days without texting me, so is it because he doesn't like me or he's not interested or am I looking into this too much? |

Anyway, this year at ninth grade i cane up to him and asked him if he thought I was ugly, and he said no. In middle school, I met this guy. Let's call him "M". I had a crush on M and we did date for a little (about 4 months) before he moved 2 hours away from me near the end of 8th grade. Surprisingly M and I still managed to stay in contact but we "dated" different people. He'd ask about my relationships and I would too. Fast forward into high school, M moved again. This time he was 5 hours away but we still kept in touch. Sometimes I would go visit his town over the summer but whenever we'd try to see each other, something always came up. We still remained friends and dated other people but in my senior year of high school, M and I dated for 6 months. During those 6 months everything was going well, but we broke up, not because of the distance but because of his father's racism. M and I (still) remained friends and we vowed to get back together under the right circumstances. I still had feelings for M but I stopped talking to him for 3 months so I could stop my feelings from growing stronger for him. We started talking again once I started college and it feels exactly where we left off. Recently I found out that M has been dating someone for 7 months. Our texts between us have slowed down, but we talk here and there. Sometimes he'd ask if I was seeing anyone or if I was interested in anyone. I'm so stuck in this negative mindset it's consuming my entire life. I just don't know what to do anymore. I used to be a fun outgoing person not always happy but made the most of life. It's literally affecting my parenting, my work, my social life. I have no interest in anything anymore. I am still with him but I do not trust him. Someone please give me insight. |

Posted: 19 Nov 2017 06:23 PM PST im 15 and my boyfriend is 18 and graduated and she doesnt let me hang with him whenever i want i cant even see his if it gets past 6pm thats bs! she just says i need to focus on getting my sister back in my life and not worrying about other people. she also says i will end up like my sister if i hang with people. my boyfriend was an addict to meth (like my sister) but has been sober for almost a year now. she always just wants her way to be right what should i do? i absolutely love my boyfriend this is our second time being together (broke up because he wasnt sober) |

On TV and movies you see that the popular like to drink and party. The guys start drinking to fit in, and have a chance with these beautiful girls. In reality, at least in my high school, the popular were NOT pretty. The popular girls partied, indulged in binge-drinking, dressed slutty, but none of those girls were pretty. The party girls were usually overweight who dressed with tight clothes, and had her fat rolls coming out their tight clothes. The popular girls, the party girls, they were not the kind of girls you'd make an effort to get to know. There were pretty girls in my high school, but they were not the popular party girls. Are girls in high school the reason I've never drunk alcohol? |
