I lost my mom to cancer last september when I was 21 and she was only 57. All of her clothes are still in her drawers. My nana said I should donate them so someone else can use them. I feel bad I believe in an afterlife and I don't want her to feel that she is forgotten.... :(

Or is that just the alcohol talking? I personally think it is a bit of both. I think that in some ways you can truly see yourself for who and what you are, but on the other hand, since alcohol is in fact a depressant, I believe that it makes you believe that there is in fact no way of getting out the hole you see yourself in. That there is no way to change your circumstances. I think judging by personal experience, alcohol does allow you to see yourself for who and what you are, but doesn't allow you to see a way out. The truth is is that anyone can change if they want to change. The problem is is that most people don't want to change. Anyone can change if they truly want to change. And if they are willing to work at it, they can and will change. How about you, what're your thoughts on it, whether through personal experience, or hypothetical?

I just got out of a relationship, an emotional abusive one. I'm so mad at myself for waiting 3 years. It's time that I regret wasting. I'm 25. I feel insecure about myself. I recently went to New York for vacation and all my friends know including a mutual friend who I like. Now usually when I go on trips I bring back gifts for my friends, but now that I've been talking more with her more often and we've even had brunch together and considering the fact that I never got her anything despite the recent holiday I thought maybe I should also get her something nice before I return .and I actually knew her for years and we get together at the same social functions often. The family is not requesting extra cleaning, planning or cooking. It would only be child care and cleaning the messes made at the times I m watching them. For watching two boys over the last 3 years my ending pay was $20 an hour, but I know the average for two kids in my area (with my experience level) is $14.50 an hour. My brother recently divorced his wife and he is upset with me because I still talk to her. The only reason I still talk to her, I want to see my nephews. So my son's used to be babysitter has 3 beautiful little girls. But my babysitter (let's call her susan and her husband, Mike) Susan found out that she has lupus and now has to take chemo every week and she just feels so week so her husband Mike had to take leave from work to take care of their three girls and they have no money left. Her dad has helped as much as he can but money is limited. And I just wish I could help. I'm getting them some milk, eggs and bread but that's about all that I can afford. Any ideas? We both get WIC but that's it. Anything is appreciated!
