Weddings: Question: Are we asking too much, financially? Destination wedding!? |
Question: Are we asking too much, financially? Destination wedding!? Posted: 27 Nov 2017 05:50 PM PST My Fiance and I are planning a destination wedding where we got engaged. Hyatt Ziva los cabos, mexico. An all inclusive resort. With our blocked rooms for feb 2019 we are quoted 245 a night per person with tax included. We were also quoted by delta airlines about 227 per person round trip for a group rate. I'm guessing each person will stay about 3 nights so that is about 962 USD per person. My fiance and I will be paying for any transportation during the vacation as well. We are planning on sending out of invitations 12 months in advance. Is this asking too much from our guests? Hotel is all inclusive. Includes all alcohol/beverages, food and in resort activities. We are planning on having a "party" pot luck dinner at my aunts house when we get back to california for everyone who wasn't able to attend or couldn't afford to. We are only expecting 15-20 people to potentially come |
Question: My girlfriend wants to keep her name after getting married.? Posted: 26 Nov 2017 09:38 AM PST She said that she didn't want to leave her family and especially her mom by changing her last name to mine if we got married. I want my future wife to have my last name and to want my last name. I can tell now that it will be a problem from now on knowing that she genuinely doesn't want to change her last name even if she does it for me. This is a major issue to me and I want her to be the one but that would cause fights and arguments over her not changing it. I'm not going to force her either, so I told her that she could leave me and find someone who doesn't mind you keeping your last name or that I wouldn't marry her. And she kept telling me to please stay with her but I don't know if I really can after knowing that will be the future. What are your thoughts and opinions? What would you do? |
