I'd posted about a woman at my gym who won't leave me alone and is constantly hitting on me, talking at me and otherwise interrupting my workout. I both (1) told her to "please leave me alone; I mean it" and (2) have totally ignored her. For example, when she comes up and talks at me, I just pretend that she's not there, and I don't acknowledge her, even though she's 2 or 3 feet away, talking at me. Which method is less hurtful? She's been battling neuroblastoma for 5 months now but we always thought there was hope until the other day when she took a turn for the worst 😭 I can't stop crying and I feel like my heart has been ripped in two. I can't even imagine how my friend feels. I want to go visit the baby for what could be the last time but I really don't think I can handle it. My friend wants me to be there but I feel like I'm going to make the situation so much worse by being so emotional. I would really hate to upset her even more 😭 I really don't know what to do!!!! |

I think she's cute and nice. I've done favors for her in the office. We usually talk about our weekends on Monday's my internship is ending in a couple weeks. I wonder if I should ask her out at the end of it. Last week she asked me: if I have kids, would i want kids in the future, do I drink, do I have a girlfriend, and how old I am. It was odd though because she openly asked me these questions in front of a coworker while all of us were in the copier room. She said with me being 27 that I can go out and date and have fun. I hope she wasn't trying to steer me to other women. She's a single mom. I wish her and I could talk everyday but the office gets pretty busy at times. I think she likes me but I'm not sure. She is going through a difficult time and I am trying to be a friend to her. But I do not get any enjoyment out of it. I do it because she doesn't have many friends. I am doing an MSc and work full time and she wants to meet up all the time. When I tell her I'm busy she still insists on meeting. She doesn't have a job so she asks me a lot. I tell her I can't meet and she will text me the next day about meeting. I was really busy with work recently and couldn't meet, she called me numerous times and left messages saying ' I miss you, I want to see you, you need a break from work'. I see her more than I see some of my close friends (once a month, we live 2 hours apart) On top of this. When we do meet she is always late, or cancels last minute. She was recently over 1.5 hours late and had a silly excuse. She wants to meet every weekend but I have other obligations with friends and family! And when I've had a busy week sometimes I like just having some time alone. I can't text her this because she will get upset and act as if I don't want to see her. I don't want to cut the friendship off completely but I don't want to see her as much. Because it's the same thing every time we meet, the conversation doesn't flow and I feel like she's just meeting me because she doesn't want to be alone- and I feel sorry for her. I ve been playing for one year and I m going into my sophomore year this year. I ve improved a lot throughout the one year, but I just don t like practices at all. Pros of quitting: - I could get a job - I could do crossfit - I could focus more on school and be less stressed for the first quarter and start of school - I could branch out and meet more friends (three of my best friends are playing) - I would be happier. The cons of quitting are: - I wouldn t really be able to play volleyball anymore - I might get pulled away from my best friends - I might have regrets if they are talking about how much fun a game was or something -I won t be challenging myself, and I ll just be giving up. - I won t have a sport. My parents fully support my decision but they do somewhat guilt me into doing it. I just feel like whenever we are at practices, my friends are all having fun and i m counting down the minutes until it s going to end. I also dread going to practices days before we even have them. In addition to these wholly absurd accusations, she doesn't confront me in a calm way such as, "Hi, you haven't really been talking to me lately, is there a reason?" Yeah no. At first it was just okay-ish having them around. But then things started to get creepy. Girl #1 (let's call her Liz) has been following us. I mean, yeah I get it, she's just trying to earn friends, and we would totally talk to her if she wasn't you know... Stalking us and copying our exact movements. While I grow up, I had some friends and I was believe that we are true friends. Also, I wasn't a successful student at school, I was hanging around with my friends and smoke weed etc. Then I started to smoke weed alone, it was my whole world. Later on, I decided to study abroad. When I join classes in my new school, I realised weed took my all social abilities. I was super shy in classes and didn't chat with anybody. Then I started to not go classess, I was smoking weed on my own everyday, and hanging around. In short, at the end I ****** up everything and I came back to my country. No diploma, no job experience, nothing. Of course I was still doing drugs but on my own or with some friends. Finally, I quit smoking for few months then I realized I am totally alone, no friends, nobody in my life. People which I call ''friends'', they were not my friends, I saw that. No one respects me, no one take me serious. When I was a kid, my biggest fear was being alone and become nobody, and today I live my biggest fear. I never achieved something in this life, people will remember me ''useless and unsuccessful'' and I'm sure they will remember me like that. I want to get lost and start a new life. Posted: 08 Aug 2017 01:25 AM PDT Me and my friend work together and she left a hour before we close to help her boyfriend with exchanging some jeans I did not have my car today and depended on her for a ride home so she said she would be back to come get me. She was late picking me up and another co-worker was going to take me but even she said that my friend was wrong for being late my friend came as we were about to go(it is raining by this point) and her excuse was that her and her boyfriend went home and had sex. I have loaned this friend 150 dollars that she said she was going to pay back in July but never did. Should I just tell her to forget paying me back and end the friendship or try to work it out im a little posses lol |

| Question: Why is it so difficult being short? Posted: 07 Aug 2017 11:29 PM PDT I do love being short and I'm kind of okay, and people compliments me and all that and loves me, sometimes I hate being short.. I'm 28 years old I have to admit that I'm 4'7ft closer to 4'6 but for my face and back and neck etc I don't look like a midget or those short ppl, I guess that's how my appearance is, I know I sound weird but it's something like that. I'm embarrassed by the way I am and my size I really do hate my size tho, and BC when I was in school I used to be bully and stuff. I did defended myself but not much and my friends used to back me up.. The bullies used to tell me that no one will believe my age when I go to clubs and will never drive and will never find a job Etc. When I was 19 my mom and my cousin asked me if I want learn how to drive I got mad and said I don't want to learn how to drive I'm not ready and never will. My mom Got mad and said how am I gonna go to stores who's gonna take me where I need to go or have to go etc? I said tf you ask that for? We have family and our neighbors... I never meant to be rude to her is just that when I was younger I actually believe what bullies used to tell was gonna be all true. Years passed by and I had a job, I had a boyfriend, apt going clubs etc. I did learn how to drive and I do know how to but very little. Since All my details were long. She rarely responds if we text, and she's coming off like she's hiding something. I know she's not busy, but she still barely talks to me. Part of me is mad and resents her but part of me feels bad because what I once felt for her, and she said she felt as well. | Question: Did I do the right thing ditching this "friend"? Posted: 07 Aug 2017 10:16 PM PDT Okay so my best friend for 7 years has been treating and acting weird against me. She doesn't respond to my texts,or calls or anything. Then one day I call her to see what was going on and she said that she thinks it's better if we're not so close anymore... I asked why and she said that she felt that the relationship was unhealthy and was one sided. I asked her how and she said because I was always taking you places and doing things for you which wasn't true.. I suffer from panic disorder, and Major Depressive Disorder with Socisl Anxiety. I had a difficult time going out in public due to the fear of being sick to my stomach in public. I lost tons of weight., lost interest in everything and attempted suicide many times. But through it all I still made efforts to go on outing and spend time with her, and invited her places too. I don't know if she's just upset about this one time she invited my cousin and I to a restaurant that they said they wanted to try but I hadn't promised I would eat there 3 months ago due to my severe allergies to Eggs it being a Asian fusion restaurant and tried negotiating a place we could all enjoy and I would feel more comfortable. She got upset and saiid the world doesn't revolve around you... and now she graduated high school and had a big vacation trip to Orlando and didn't think to invite me.. even after she came to my grad party and we spent years together so I kinda told her how I felt and said that she took my friendship for granted That it wasn't right of her to treat me this way but that I saw how it was and to enjoy it , she deserves it.. was I too harsh?? Was I right in doing this ? HELP... I'm really depressed about the whole thing |

Posted: 07 Aug 2017 09:11 PM PDT Okay so im the kind of girl who loves getting dressed up, makeup done heels the usual, and sometimes my friends love to dress up too. However while vacationing with my 4 best friends in Mexico at a nice resort, all of them ganged up on me and complained how I try to show them up by dressing nice. Like i was so hurt. i wanna dress nice and look good and go out to eat its my choice and I got really irritated because they get dressed up too. Also, my friends explained how im so skimny and can wear whatever I want, but they were making me feel terrible about myself and saying that they cant wear the clothes I can, and want me to "tone it down". I was just so hurt at how they were bringing me down and saying that im so extra when trying to dress up. I always compliment my friends whenever they get dressed up, and I never care whatever they wear. I just dont know what it is, but I just hate how I have to force myself to wear certain things just so they can be happy and not complain about me being too dressed up. Anybody got any ideas why they are like this?? And what do I do??? |

Every time looked good, except for culinary and yearbook. I've been in yearbook for my junior year and I really enjoy it that year. I was in culinary my sophomore year, but didn't get it my junior year because I had to do intensive reading. I wanted both of these this year, but it seems like it's not going to happen, cause culinary this year is only 3rd and 4th and yearbook is always 4th period. I recently told my yearbook teacher that I want to stick with you cause I really enjoy it and don't want to seem like a trader for a class that I want just for food and my friends. Now, I'm panicking because what if my two friends have it and we're not the same group anymore, like we were in 10th grade. PLUS, I really wanted a chord from culinary and I feel like I'm going to achieve anything now in high school. I hate how I overthink this and feel like I'm not going to make anybody happy with this. It wasn't a serious lie but she didn't know I lied about it. I lie because of compulsions that I have that make me lie for no reason. She has always been there for me but now she's mad at me because I'm ending the friendship even tho she has been here for me when no one else was. I thought it through and It's been a few days and I realized that I need her in my life and I feel empty without her. She's ignoring me and I don't know what to do anymore.
