Question: How old does my witness need to be to get married in California? Posted: 07 Oct 2015 09:08 PM PDT No one can come with us to get married except my little sister who is 16 years old so I wanted to see if she can be my witness. |
Question: Can I bring one of my friends to a wedding as a +1? Posted: 07 Oct 2015 06:29 PM PDT So I'm not dating or married to anyone and I'm going to a wedding and on the invite the bride asked me if I was bringing a +1 and I assumed she meant a date so I said no. Would it be weird if I changed it and instead of bringing a date just brought one of my best friends? Since the only people I know are going to be in the wedding party I don't want to just sit alone with random people. Or would it be rude? |

Question: Renewing vows Bouquet question? Posted: 07 Oct 2015 03:00 PM PDT I am renewing my vows in 2 weeks. I was wondering for those that renewed their vows did you use your old bouquet or did you get a new one or used just fresh flowers? |
Question: How do I return something I did not get a gift receipt for? Posted: 07 Oct 2015 12:10 PM PDT I just recently was married and received a set of bowls that were not on my registry. They are nice bowls, I just don't really have room for them in my small kitchen with everything else I already have. I am not even sure though where they came from, though I think it may have been Costco or a similar store. is there a way to find out where it came from using the UPC? Is it possible to return it if I can find out where it came from or do I need to bite the bullet and ask for the gift receipt so I can return them? |
Question: Concerned about stepmother at my wedding? Posted: 07 Oct 2015 10:20 AM PDT We get along okay, but sometimes she can be very self-centered. The latest thing came out of the blue and my wedding is in December. My stepmother married my dad when my brothers and I were 10-15. She has no kids with our dad, but she had a baby before meeting our dad, who died when she was 6 days old. She talks about her a lot and used to drag my brothers and I to the grave when we were with our dad. Every year on the anniversary, all of us had to go, including our dad. A couple of days ago, my stepmother asked me if I would ask for donations to a charity for babies who die in infancy. It's a charity she donates to regularly. I told her I wouldn't, so then she asked if I would donate all monetary gifts to it. She's not taking no for an answer and I know from seeing her at parties in the past, she will go around telling everyone the story and trying to pressure people into giving money. She's guilted a lot of people into donating in the past. This concerns my fiance and I because we don't want her doing this at our wedding. Any advice? |

Question: Will the US embassy accept a civil wedding in the US for the K Visa? Posted: 07 Oct 2015 07:50 AM PDT My boyfriend's planning to file a K visa(Fiance visa) next month. We're wondering if the US embassy will accept a simple civil wedding instead of a big fancy wedding? We're thinking of doing a civil wedding first before we do a big fancy one with our families and friends. We thought that we could just use the money first for some more important things (cos basically we're just starting with life together-we've been in a long distance relationship for a while now) like apartment, cars and other necessities and just save up for our dream wedding in the future. Hope you guys could help me. Thank you very much! :) |
Question: Would this dress be suitable for a 2nd time bride? Posted: 07 Oct 2015 05:48 AM PDT I am marrying the love of my life in December. We are having a semi-formal dress wedding. I wanted a plain dress, but in a very stylish cut. I have a dress kind of similar to the one in the link, and my fiance loves to see me wear it. So I thought that I would have a dress made like the one in the picture. Would this dress ensemble be suitable for a 2nd time bride? Oh I did forget to mention that I am 43 years old, 5'8, 160, large breasted, x-large bone frame, no well defined hips, waist, and a flat backside. Dress style I like: http://www.polyvore.com/champagne_1930s_style_gown_maxi/set?id=127316470 |

Question: My friend un invited me to their wedding!!!? Posted: 06 Oct 2015 03:29 PM PDT I figured I would help my good friends greet their guests and thank them for coming and they un invited me! It started when I texted them asking if we could divide the center of the dance floor because my husband is such a good dancer. I also asked if I could make one of those "Im so proud of you guys, thanks for coming" after they delivered their vows. They un invited me when I invited myself over one night to help them taste caterers. They were mad because I was ruining their experience! I was just trying to help them, I just rated the caterers for them and helped choose, my husband said it might have been because they were paying and it was their wedding so they should chose the caterer and I don't need to greet people, I definitely should! It makes their life easier! Doesn't it seem selfish and rude to un invite me? I think I might go down to in front of the church during their wedding and protest it, telling people not to go in, screaming, getting a piquet line, etc. Nobody can stop me. Wasn't it rude for them to UNINVITE ME? They also claimed to be mad because I bought a $22000 dress to dress up for their wedding, and their friends said I was trying to steal the show by buying a more expensive dress. |
