Ok so I am 19 years old I am a college student getting straight A's and I want to see my girlfriend who is overseas at the moment but my parents oppose to me traveling. I will be paying from my money for my own stuff like travel expenses and still they oppose. What should I do?

I've been a student teacher in a kindergarten classroom, and it was lunch time for the children. I noticed one child was walking around with his tray, looking like he couldn't find a seat. I went over to him, and told him to sit down, and he said he wanted to sit at the big table. (one of the tables is larger than the other three that they're assigned to in the cafeteria) I told him he couldn't sit there because that table was full. He said it's not fair because he never gets to sit at the big table. I told him that that's how life works, you don't always get to sit where you want, and the people who get there first get to sit there. I didn't yell at him, but I probably said it in a sterner voice than I should have. He got upset and starting crying. I felt so bad. Was this mean? I've been feeling guilty all day.

So my foreign family from my Dad's side seems to be obSESSED with me. Now, I love them of course, they are family, but it's kinda weird. I'm not the only Teenager in the family. I'm not the youngest or the oldest. First of all, my Dad makes me call them every Friday of the year, and gets mad if I don't. They also take pictures of me when I'm caught off guard, without my permission or consent. All their screensavers, backgrounds, and profile pictures are of me. My one uncle also treats me like I'm 5 and buys me kids stuff. My dad's other brother has a son too, but he never tells him to call them every friday and they don't take pictures of him all the time. Why am I different? Is this normal or are they actually obsessed? Anything I can do?

I'm 13 going on 14 and they said I was too old to go trick--or-treating. I am wrong, or are they being unreasonable? If they're wrong, how do I convince them to let me go?

I have 3 guys that are possiblities for my bio dad, my mom's not sure which one it is so I wanted to get dna test with them. Ive found how to contact all 3, I just have no idea how to go about contacting someone I've never talked to and asking them to get a dna test with me. I had a 4th guy who I already asked he shot me down because he thought I wanted something from him, I don't want anything from these guys. I'm 21 years old and not looking to be patented, I just want to know who my bio dad is. How do I ask these guys without them thinking I have some sort of agenda, I'm just concerned if I don't get it right with the other guys they wont want to get tested either.

My daughter and my wife are completely against me. She's 18 and tbh, I hate the way she dresses. I'm 14 and live with my mom, her friend and her 8 year old daughter. We've lived with each other for a year now and are very comfortable. We are very poor, low income. I'm not doing so well in my math class and my mother found out because my professor sent her an "alert" about my performance. Math isn't my strong subject so I always asked my friends to help me with homework and/or projects. Usually whenever a mother sees her child needing help on something, she would help. Not my mom! She instead threatens me to do better in the class and shes threatening to cancel my internet, my phone, anything that makes me happy really. I spent the last year and a half out of province but got sick of my roommates and moved home. Once I got here I saw the economy in shambles, the poverty stricken town more poverty stricken, and my mom and her long term alcoholic boyfriend broken up. The only issue I have is this breakup, she threw his *** out of her house for being a sloppy drunk and now his entire workplace hates our family. Heck for fun our family plays their families drunken messages to my mom and comedically analyzes them. I don't know what to do. Something tells me his boys might beat my ***.

I have the opportunity to go to a different country and compete in an international science fair, but my parents aren't allowing me to go because I'm grounded. The reason I'm grounded is because I have an F in both English and history. This is really dumb. I placed first in my school competition, in a state competition and in a national competition, but because I'm grounded I won't have the opportunity to participate in the international competition. My school pays for me, one of my parents and one of my teachers to go. How can I get my parents to reconsider and maybe let me go? I worked really hard on this science project. The competition is in two weeks. My parents said that I need to bring my grades up to at least a C in order to not be grounded. I don't think it's possible for me to bring my grades up to C's even if I get perfect scores on everything because there are no big projects or big tests coming up.

My mothers been sick since I was 5 and when i could miss school or have social workers help, it made things easier, i'm 20 now and can't afford post secondary school cause i don't work enough and under so much stress i end up breaking down every week, my moms having surgery soon meaning I'm going to be going back and forth between house and she said i have to clean the whole three story house for a few weeks while she recovering, this happens a lot and I already had to take time off for her surgery and have to do this pretty consistently which makes my managers think im not serious about my job, i've been fired before and just started a new, demanding and stressful. the surgery is next week, and im in a lot of financial trouble already. As well, tho i know its because she is sick she can b REALLY mean....i try to avoid her at times because of this. I just want to move away and go back to school..and have a future but I feel guilty if i just leave her, my dad was estranged at a young age and passed away. and all other family live far away. I just feel like i can't do everything on my own and have no adult guidance, if anyone here has advice for me, please help me. thank you.

My teacher goes out of the room for 10 minutes to make a call or something. I pull out my phone to check for a message from my little sister( she's at home sick with a cold) to see how she was doing. I get that no phones are allowed, but I just wanted to see how my sister was doing. So then he comes back and sees my phone and yelled "You're going to put that phone away and keep it away you've been here long enough! I've said no phones since day one! I get that I shouldn't have been using my phone, but I had it to check on my sick sister, who could've gotten a fever. I felt that there was no reason to be mean and rude towards me. I don't want to take his class anymore and I'm so angry and embarrassed that he did that. What do I do? I hate when people yell and are mean to me.

I absolutely despise my maid. She is the absolute worst! I mean my mom said that if she had to pick sides, she would throw me out of the house and keep her. Well, I'm sick of her. She ALWAYS does what she wants, and sometimes she leaves me places when she gets pissed off. My mom, being fed on the bullsh*t she feeds her, believed her and took my brand new phone that I got after my mom forgot my birthday, Christmas, AND confirmation presents, and I didn't use my phone for a month. Anyways the point is that my mom isn't a rational human being and won't listen to what I tell her, and my maid always makes stuff up which add fuel to the fire, and my mom is always stressed and seems to like letting the fire burn my freedom. This nanny keeps ruining everything and I'm drifting away from my family more and more. I'm tired of sitting and watching. My sister is to scared to do anything... What should I do? She's messing with the wrong girl.

ok so, I m 16 my grades aren t bad and I ve never had an involvement with the police with anything or a suspension from school, I don t do it to "fit in" I do it bc i do consider myself depressed and you know who doesn t want to be happy every once in awhile, I smoke occasionally maybe once or twice a week but never on the weekdays, I just want my parents to allow me to do it, I don t drink alcohol nor do I do any other drugs, any advice to convince them to let me? don t answer w "you shouldnt" bc I m not asking for your negative opinion especially considering that s not even the question I m asking. thanks

I'm 19 and at home waiting for college and working. Ihave a boyfriend that grew up in the southern way and don't really trust black people. My step dad is half black, and he and I were willing to make it work. And my bf was willing to try to connect with him. When my parents were asking about him, I told them that he doesnt have full trust but is willing to accept. First thing my step dad told me is if him and I get married, he's not going to the wedding. I really really like my bf and a lot of potential but he's stubborn and is willing to fight back. and my step dad is stubborn and will fight back as well. What can I do to fix this and gain a little calm and trust. Also my parents are extremely overprotective and never let me venture far and I just feel like I can't bow down to every little thing they want or make me feel bad for. Any suggestions??

So I'm writing stories that I saw from t.v. shows and movies. I have one where my grandfather steals trail mix and throws money at the produce guy, another where I put mood enhancers in my aunt's pie, another where my sister started to talk with a cow creamer and another where my uncle calls my aunt at Thanksgiving and the next year my aunt is all hot and she tries to seduce him with a knife but it falls on his foot and he loses a toe. My family is low on money so we lived with another family. I'm 14. It's just my mom, me, another mom and this little girl aged 8. We live in a two bedroom apartment. Our two moms share a room and me and the little girl share the other. I've asked my mom for a sleeping bag but she said it's unneeded. Me and the girl have to share a bed to sleep on. So my bf and I have been together for 2 yrs and I moved in with him and his Mexican family a year ago. we sat down and agreed that in about a year we should be able to move out and get our own place. Well, I currently live with his family who aren't even legal (he is though). I'm also not Mexican which makes is more awkward, I can't even communicate with his parents. We all split rent equally, my bf and I his parents and his brother and wife But the thing Im worried tht when the time comes to move out, they won't be able to afford to pay extra rent when we leave ( they can barely afford it now and it's not even a lot) and I feel like they will try and convince him to stay and make him feel bad They are used to this way of living I don't want to seem like the bad guy but I feel like they will NEVER understand why I want to move out. Plus my bf's mom and sister in law don't even like me I think because I am so different from them. They don't work at all and I work full time. They can't drive and I can (they're ALWAYS asking me to drive them places and it's pathetic cause they're both older than me). They don't have a say over money. They have kids and I don't. I just feel so different and I can't relate to them Any thoughts or opinions on my situation and should my bf or I be worried that they won't be able to afford to the extra rent when we leave? It's a whole year from now so I figure that's enough time for them to find a smaller place or better job.

I'm 22. I know I'm old enough that I should have known my SSC number but I don't never had the thing in my hand long enough to memorize it. My mother has always kept it. And I've been looking for it over a year. And have been asking for it over a year. She'd just tell me the same old story stating she'll get it later but later never comes. So I stopped asking for awhile then now have been asking again because I want to get MY own life and do whatever I want and make my own money. But she says its lost and has even went so far as to blame me for it missing !.. I asked her why she balmed me for taking it and she told me because I used to ask for it all the time then stopped. Ugh.. I swear... If I had them I wouldn't be asking for them!!... Plus I'd never be so stupid as to lose them like her. She never owns up to anything! I asked if I could have them years ago AND keep em she told me no because she didn't want me to lose them yet she loses them??! Ironic isn't it?.. So is there a way I can get my information?.. PLEASE help! I asked for it when I was 18 too so I could get an ID and get a job she told me no every time. I asked again when through out the years no no no.. Then went looking for it on my own only to never find it. Them when I turned 21 I asked for it she and my sister told me no because I wanted to get an ID made and they said no because I would just buy beer No, I nor my family are immigrants I am fully american. And I'm not stolen either. I've seen my birth certificate and social security card. Its just its NOW lost is the problem.

She usually gives me money but, sometimes, she gives me clothes and when she gives me shoes, it's always girl's shoes. The thing is, even if I say that I don't like them (for obvious reasons), she says "but they're so pretty and warm". Really, doesn't she have eyes on her face? Should I just accept them and throw them away when she leaves? What should I do? Linda, I can't because she never tells where she buys them. She doesn't have dementia, since she never does or say crazy stuff, except for the shoes thing.

I know its both my parents responsibility but my dad worked all the time so I more so lean on my mom for me not having a good education. I went to public and private schools. Been homeschooled twice. Once home schooled then mom gave up. Put me into a private school didn't learn a thing!.. She took me out and "homeschooled " me again. I personally think I'm dyslexic.. When my mother homeschooled me she bought books that were supposed to be my grad level for my age but I wasn't even close to that grade at all! .. I didn't know how to do anything hardly in the books she had for me and I'd ask for help with something tell her I don't know what I'm looking at please help me she'd look at it blow her breath and tell me that it was easy and to do it. Then she gave up shortly after. And I just got to not do any school. I stayed home everyday while my older sister got to go to school and have friends . and clean everyday .. I'd even clean up after my sister and her friends only to have them make a mess for me again. I had one friend but my mother didn't like her so she could never come over. But my sister had friends over almost every day. I am now 22 and this still deeply hurts me ... I had to teach myself how to read... Also my mom told me that when I was younger in primary school she seen me be put in the back of the class facing a wall with some other "dumb" kids ..... I wasn't facing the wall cause I was bad either I was a very well behaved child. I have brought this up to my mother before. She told me that it was my fualt I didn't get an education because I didn't want to learn. But how could I want to learn when I would always ask for help and not receive it?!.. She didn't school me she just bought books and handed em to us. She did this to me and my twin btw She says its my fualt I didn't get schooled . but I told her I needed lower level books because I was held back. And she refused to help me when I'd ask her to.. How could I look at something I had NOT one clue what if was and do it? She took me out of the private school when I was ten they had me in the fifth grade class .. They wanted to put me in third grade to help me catch up and she got upset about that and took me out of school to be homeschooled.. Oh wait ha I mean to be a house slave

This is what my mother does EVERY DAY!! Not lying. Watches TV, uses phone and tablet. While sitting in a big recliner. Only gets up to use the bathroom. Or to smoke her cigarettes and most of the time at night she'll just smoke in her chair. She uses that room with the chair and TV basically as her bedroom she sleeps in the chair every night. She don't use her bedroom because its not fixed up the way she wants it too its too cluttered and messy has been that way for three years. Never hardly leaves the room unless she wants to actually get up and make her own bowl of cereal or coffee or get her own drink. Which she always a lot of the time everyday more than once will ask other to get that stuff and whatever esle she wants. She never leaves the house. Never ever cooks or cleans always gets her two daughters who still love at home to do it. Wont even fold her own laundry she doesn't want them wrinkled so others do it for her. She only showers maybe once a week. Wears clothes days in a row without changing them. Has dog poo in the room she uses that she never gets up because well she wants to play it off as her not seeing it but I know she has to know its there hers dogs use the bathroom a lot in that room she keeps them in cause she won't take them out enough. Allways wanting her daughters to keep her house clean will ***** if the house isn't to her liking an will sometimes say if it has to be done right she has to do it but doesn't even lift a finger to help clean it. Hasn't cleaned house since I was a child. I'm 22... She's like 45 Sometimes she's even too busy playing attention to her phone,tablet, TV to even notice me or listen to me talking to her. Paying not playing Every now an again she'll leave the room but its jut to talk to someone about something. Usually cause she wants em to do something or drama And yes we all know she has and has had depression issues as well as other issues.. She takes medication for depreson and anxiety. I always keep the bathroom clean its always ME who cleans it. But she actually took credit for it to my face told me that she does it.... I told her she was crazy She'll tell me whatever she wants done around the house. Instead of her doing them its easy stuff too.. He'll she goes out of her way to actually not throw stuff away She'll walk into the kitchen pass the trash can and put her trash on the counter for us to clean up Everybody says they don't think she's lazy. It is very interesting.. Considering I said all she does is sit in a recliner all day telling me what to do. PLEASE Do tell me WHY is it you think she's not lazy so I'll at least try to understand.. Lol.. I just wished shed help even if its just ONE little thing. Uh Or at least would be better if she appreciated the stuff we do for her :(

feels constricting, desighned to keep me well behaved and inside my box of what is acceptable for a domesticated mother. I want to go on a trip by myself for a week to an island escape to get away so i can breathe, so i can just be myself without expectations or restrictions, go zip lining, mountain biking, scuba diving , surfing. except my family would never approve, it is unbecoming of a mother to go on vacation without her kids. feel so constricted where i am. trapped inside my house with 3 noisy and boistrous kids. I need air. I haven't taken more than a 3 day vacation in 4 years, and it was never to actually get away. It was to finish up work, house work, home work. Going to a family reunion or a conference, never just for fun, and never peaceful. I have been in college for 6 years and don't have too much to show for it besides a gray hair I found and wrinkles. The stress is physically aging me. I am trapped on this treadmill and Haven't had a legitimate break in years. I almost booked a week long trip for 1 to the us virgin islands. I could have done it, I almost paid for it. I know I need a break but i knew I would get talked to about taking one. dissaproving family. This entire week I've been fantasizing about fixing my bike and going biking on the trails in the parks in town. or Kayaking down the river or just hanging out around town. but i can't..I'm trapped on this damn treadmill and there's always some responsibility that keeps me from doing anything enjoyable.

I want to run away and never come back. I cannot take the pressure of school or live on the street anymore by my mom. Half the time she says shes not kidding and the other half she says she would never put me on the street. I do not know what to do. I have a boyfriend but he lives far away in VA. :( I am crying. My brother always walks naked around the home.He is not a mentally ill.He is doing this since his childhood.I am not join him doesn't my parents.But he doing this habitually not sexually.Also he is forcing me to get naked with him.I always wear underwear or brief in home without shirt.Please I need serious answers.Is it normal for him.

Parents have put me into a situation where they have blacklisted me from something that makes people part of a social group where they have hairstyles, dance moves and following trends after they took my teen siblings and 27-year-old macho brother there for half a day. I'm now being ostracized by society where I am not allowed to have a hairstyle or to attend certain events, and my parents are also forcing me to become what my eldest brother was by being more inclined at bossing, scolding and blaming me for everything while also feeding me foods high in protein. I feel frustrated when I was always more of the self-conscious type who isn't even the violent one.

Me and my best friends are 14 and we ve been friends since 2nd grade and her mom is a Single parent and recently her mom was in jail for theft, she hasn t been doing to well; and it s been a couple months since she s been out and she s not been doing so well. She has anxiety and depression, and she takes a lot of pills some which are not hers ( note: this is all what my friend is telling me I don t know how she has this information ) and my friend looked up a lot of the pills she s taking and there not for Anxiety... There for ADD & ADHD and most of them there tags are ripped of. And recently her mom has been taking men home with drugs! A couple weeks ago her mom brought a man home and my friend was eavesdropping and heard her say " sex for money or drugs"?? And some other things and she said this has happened over 8 times already! And she said that her mom leaves at around 12 and 1 and leaves and comes back the next day with the smell of achohol and cocain up her nose. And my friend walked in on her mom doing heroin ?!? This has gotten very bad and she cries all the time not knowing what to do ; and she is an only child so I m the only one she feels comfortable talking too, and I don t knew how to comfort her :(

These two middle age and old woman asked me for spare change which I didn't have because I keep all my money on my card but for some reason I decided to help them so I offered to buy them a few groceries instead of fast food because she she has a family of 6 who haven't eaten for days! She told me she didn't want money but just something to eat for her kids and her diabetic mother. We met at a store and they ended up splurging my money instead of only chosen a few items. I'm usually mean when it comes to homeless people so I don't know why I didn't tell them no or to put some items back. They gave me their phone number because they want to keep in touch with me for being so kind which I agreed but gave them my home number instead of my cell. Their story seemed sincere or they couldve been some liars who live off people which is what is making me feel regretful. I spent a lot of my money that I didn't plan on spending on them and if they were lying then that is just angering me even more. I know It was an idiotic move but how do I move on and let it go? The money that I spent was my own hard earned money.

Currently I have straight B's besides my electives & PE, and I have a C in chem. My bedroom is really close to the livingroom so I can hear everything. I try to listen to some instrumental music, but I prefer no noise at all. I have a sister who's three so she's always loud and whining. From my bedroom, I can hear my parents talking, the TV, my mom yelling at my sister, my sister crying. I want to improve my time management but I feel like all this noise inside my house is whats stressing me out making me procrastinate. I've tried going to my school library after school w but the library is more of a hang-out spot for students with parents who pick them up later, so its noisy. I asked my mom if she could take me to the public library for a little while but my sister loves car rides and when we have to go home she throws tantrums which makes my mom stressed and mad and its just a disaster. My mom thinks i'm obsessed with social media and she thinks thats whts wasting my time but honestly on school days i only check my phone to ask friends for help or compare hw, most of the time i realize i just zone out cuz i'm just wasting time trying to focus when I can't and i get no work done. My parents and I are really worried about my C grade in chem and my parents havent been allowing me to attend football games or hangouts with my friends lately. I feel like if i had peace and quiet I would actually understand what i'm learning and study it much better. I don't know what to do :/

Over the past years, my stepdad has been abusing me, my siblings, and my mom. My mom hasn't left him because he pays the bills. When he chocked me, and threw me across the room, the police didn't believe me. My mom punched me in the face for attempting to call the police in the first place. He has shoved me down the stairs before and threw me off my bed for "accusing" him of it. In his mind, I "tripped". My mom always talked me out of telling school officials about it because she said we would be homeless without him. He's unemployed right now and is dealing marijuana as a side job. I don't even know where that's going considering he has to borrow money from me and has a lot of debt on his bank statements. I can't take this anymore. Should I just let the school officials know....

My mom hates me and I probably hate her too. Long story short, she hit me, insulted me, humiliated me aaall the time when I was a kid, it was never for a good reason. I never insulted her, never hit her, never did that kind of stuff that would make you think "Yeah, but ypu deserved it". I didnt deserve it. I remember one time when she made me pack all my stuff, say goodbye to my siblings, took me to a foster care place and tried to make me go there and live there and never see my family again. I of course didnt and it was obviously a hurtful experience, a year later she was like: "Remember that time I took you to that place? It was a joke, hahaha" and started laughing a lot. I dont know about you, but I dont find that funny, I find it cruel. And just for the record, I was nine back then. I now have PTSD because of all the stuff she did to me; I wish I were just making a storm in a glass of water, but Im not. Time has gone by and she is still the same and Im extremely frustrated; I am living with someone toxic, I depend on the person who has made me cry basically everyday of my life and doesnt care about it, Im supposed to love and admire someone who told me to kill myself, that the only thing that would hurt her about it would be to pay for my funeral. I dont even know what to do anymore...

So there's three of us. I'm the youngest and I have two older sisters we are all one year apart. My oldest sister doesn't like me and for YEARS I've been beating myself up. Staying up late thinking how my life is a mistake and how much I hate myself and how I don't deserve to live. But dude I'm starting to realize why the F am I hating myself when i am not the problem?I've been nothing but nice to her besides a few fights (ones that were always about HER using my razor and HER wearing my underwear. Okay so my one sister (24 yo) never buys me birthday presents. Which is fine except she always buys my other sister (23 yo) birthday presents. It's like expensive stuff too, probably over $50. I'm 22 years old. Also like all of our bdays are about a month apart (may, June, July) and mines July so it's after both of my sisters' bdays so like it's not like oh she forgot or something? Like I always buy both sisters pretty good gifts for their bdays. I buy my oldest sister gifts even though she hasn't gotten me any in the past few years. I continue to get her stuff in hopes she notice & appreciate it ya know? I brought it up before but she just got mad saying I was ungrateful. The argument turned on me... I'm almost 18 (in start of December I will be) and my dad found a big appartment nearby. I want to live with him. My mom gives me such stress and anxiety. She kicks me out of the house (I don't go to school I go to classes at the library) and makes my dad drive out from the city everyday to bring me. He works nights. It's very difficult for him but he does everything for me and my sister (she's 14) all the meetings for school , doctors appointments, classes, and food and exercise time is with him. I love him. I have schizaphrenia and bipolar and bad anxiety. My dad brings me to the doctor. My mom never does anything for me. She fights with me when I come home from my boyfriends every night and says I give her a fuckingheadache and that I'm ****** up, she's an alcoholic and she had been sneaking a man who is married in the house for almost a year. That's when she kicks me out. If I try to stay she snaps and locks me out. She cheated on my dad with this guy. I've never met him. I hate living here. What do I do? Also she calls this guy the plumber and also says she has therapy at the house and I can't be here. Yet she says she has no health benefits. I won't be able to wake up on time for class tomorrow.. I'm afraid of what she'll do. She says it's not my house. Please help! Can I call someone?

I'm 16 and a sophomore and at my house its me, my sister who is 5 ,my mom and her boyfriend. My mom forces me to watch my sister who is 5 every day right after school and acts like I'm her slave forcing me to clean up the whole house after they all especially her boyfriend just sit down and make a mess, I'm serious we've gotten violations like every month for different **** and when i say the boyfriend makes a mess, i literally mean it, he comes here sits on couch watching TV yells and my sister and throws trash all over the ground, and so does my mom! its disgusting and I'm tried of it, i have mental problems myself but no one bothers to pay attention to me and i can barley spend anytime with my girlfriend who does. Theirs gotta be a way that just makes my self centered mother realized she's making this a living hell.
