I finally mustered up the courage to tell my crush I like him. I simply said, "Hi, I hope you're having a good night! I just wanted to tell you I have a crush on you and that I'd love to get to know you better, what do you think?" He said, "You're sweet and very cute. I would like to get to know you better, too." He reiterated that I was really cute and cool and that he wanted to get to me for sure. He's told me that he trusts me and there's something very comforting about me. I was able to comfort him when he needed it. We had a conversation that naturally ended. I felt bad that it did, so I messaged him and said if you still want to talk or are feeling down feel free to text me, I will be around. Right away he texted me. Ever since, we have texted a lot. He gives me really mixed signals. Sometimes it feels like he's flirting, other times he'll refer to me as a "friend." Sometimes it feels like I'm annoying him. Sometimes I sense that he feels that I am annoyed by him, which I am not at all. He was feeling down again and opened up to me more and I kind of talked him through some things and it helped and he questioned my kindness. He even apologized for doing so. He wanted to know why I'm so kind to him. That I pleasantly surprise him. It's just so odd, because he knows I like him and is taking the time to get to know me. I haven't scared him off. I brought up me liking him. I told him basically would you tell me if you didn't see potential for more or strictly wanted to be friends whenever you know. He said he can't get invested in something long distance again. He said if I was where he is he'd probably go out with me, that we should stay friends. I value just being his friend but it hurt and I was still confused. I shared some thoughts with him. Again, I didn't scare him off. My message wasn't interrogating or guilt trippy. Just some thoughts. He actually replied. Since, some things have really stuck out to me and I can't make sense of it. He originally said he just would like to be friends. But he said, "I'm just confused too. At this point, if you were to ask if I liked you I would say "I could." I've meant everything I've said so far and I haven't been ingenuine or tiptoed around your feelings or anything. I know there's more to say but I'm blanking on it right now so I figure this'll get the ball rolling." Such confusing language. Why not give me time or let me go. We haven't been friends extremely long, why keep me around. Honestly, if I was in his position and wasn't interested I would back off. Why even mention me could like me? Do I move on from having romantic feelings? Is this him letting me down nicely? When I asked what he meant by, he "could like" me, he said, "I mean that you're cute and really sweet and I clicked with you and I'm not going to lie about that but circumstantially there are too many barriers. [...] I don't know really what I mean entirely either." He is concerned about the distance. He goes on to say, "The idea of you driving up to see me is really nice and I'm tempted to let it happen. [...] I just don't think it would be fair for you to do all that work." He doesn't drive. I mention how he's not far and if that's what's holding anything back that I enjoy driving and he's not far.

I'm 17 and I met this guy a week ago and my parents barely let me hang out with him Friday. But they only let me stay out a little bit and I told him that I would try to convince them to let me go out later. Then he replied " you better". That kinda makes me mad , I went through all of this trouble to hang out with him because I have strict parents. What should I reply to him?

I feel like my relationship with my fiancé is failing. We've been together for 3 1/2 years and living together for 1. Everything was fine until we moved in together. Now it's like he takes me for granted and our relationship is his last priority. He never does little things for me or is sweet to me or takes me out to do things. Im in 8th grade and there s this boy in my class who s always annoying me. He ll just be annoying. Like one day in gym we were put together as partners and after gym in class he kept insisting I cheated, but in a teasing way. And then earlier today he wouldn t stop poking me in the side. I am finally admitting to myself that I like my best guy friend who i've known for several years. The other night we were at a party together and I was really drunk so I sat on his lap. I like her alot? I recently went to my dance and the beautiful girl I took does not lack social confidence but I think she isn t comfortable with the whole relationship idea. I really like her for who she is and I used to be really comfortable around her but ever since I asked her out I ve felt uncomfortable. We are friends and I used to find her really easy to talk to. She is still not hard to talk to its just challenging to make small talk. Also I lack confidence with dating relationships and I think she does too. I asked my boyfriend if I could check my email on his phone the other night and when I went to gmail his whole inbox popped up because he forgot to sign out. The stuff I saw made him look pretty bad. Long story short, I told him to take me home and said I needed a couple days. He said he'd back off till I had time to think. . I texted him the next day asking if he was ok. He said he felt like crap and asked how I was. I said What happened upset me. He said he understood and I had a right to be mad. So me and my brothers friend (who is 3 years older than me) are dating. We have known each-other for a few weeks and have hung out every weekend or so. He asked me out a few days ago. I'm not sure what is wrong with me.. I like him a lot but i'm just annoyed by him at this point. He is clingy, calls me babe and says i'm hot way too much and is horrible at texting (we haven't hung out since he asked me) I just hate how things are moving so fast. Having heard that she was living alone, thinking about getting her CDL, etc., coupled with her mature attitude and appearance, I thought she was in her mid 20's, not 17... I did Google it, and she is 'legal' in her state... As I said, I really do like this girl, and she not only appears to like me but also understands me and the requirements of my profession (and even wants to join it)... Am I being a complete "dirtbag" "(fill in other, worse names)" by wanting to see her again??? From the texts and calls we've been sharing, she did enjoy herself and also wants to see me again...

So I just transferred to an all girl private school in my area. I figured that I wouldn't miss my old friends and my old public Highschool because I would make new friends and so it wouldn't matter. But turns out, it feels like none of these girls like me. I don't look mean and I love to laugh but not in a cruel way and im shy, but once you get to know me im more outgoing. I had lots of friends at my old school. today was my first day and I felt like an outcast. I hung around this group of nice girls, but I would talk and they would just ignore me or they would trap me out of their circle. If I was packing up my books at the end of a class and they had finished packing already, they would all just wait for Eachother to finish and then leave me all alone. they never looked back and it just Makes me so sad. I just feel so horrible and I don't know how I could be any nicer. These girls have been friends since grade 5 and they have very tight bonds. It just feels like they don't want me around, they're just tolerating me because I'm the new girl and they can't be mean. My question is, how do I be more likeable? should I be more outgoing and approach the girls with a smile? So I'm 14 and in 8th grade and a really pretty girl just recently asked me out and we started dating. We're both kinda shy but I think I'm doing pretty good starting conversations and stuff like that. We just recently had a school dance and we slow danced together and hugged. I really like her but the only time I see her is in school. I sit with my guy friends and she sits with her girl friends at lunch. Okay, this is a bit of a relationship question. Naturally, i like this girl. She's got all of the obvious qualities anyone might look for, she's: smart, funny, kind, and all other sorts of crap you don't care about. I am unsure if she likes me, as she is pretty friendly to people. Now this isn't like I have never talked to her either, as i have known her throughout high school and we are in some of the same classes/interests such as tennis (we play in the same tennis league when the season ends). He comes over the house often; almost every weekend. And recently he spends most of his time over in my room or where I happen to be. I'm not sure if this is on purpose or not. But when my brother says lets go to my room he either says not yet or doesn't really respond. He's playful when we're together more so when my brothers not around. Like we were in my room and he was sitting next to me with his leg crossed over mine then I got up to move and he went to sit next to me again but not creepily. And my brother usually yells out stop flirting with my sister but no one takes it seriously and he could just be paranoid. Also he teases me a lot but not in a mean way. I catch him staring a lot and sometimes he looks away when I catch him but not every time. Once when I was sitting next to him he put glitter glue he found in my room on my hip another time I was in the living room on the couch with my knees bent so he came and leaned against them while watching a movie and as I moved he would laugh and scooch closer. Sometimes he playfully blocks the hallway and pushes me a little and I push back and he stands there with his hands on his hips with his chest a little puffed out. (I don't know if I like him or the attention? What should I do if I do like him?)

I have been officially dating my friend for about three weeks, before that we were friends with benefits. She had wanted something with me for a while but i honestly wasnt ready to have a relationship with anyone that year because i had a tough college courseload so wouldnt be able to satisy what being in a relationship entails. I found out that only a month ago she was sleeping with a mutual friend. I had asked her if she had slept with him since i expected it but she denied it and said she would have told me if she did. We are all friends so are around each other frequently which makes me uncomfortable since they are pretty close and hang out on their own. Since we werent official when it happened but she lied to me about it, i dont know how to approach our relationship anymore.

I'm 17 years old, and extremely confused whether or not I'm wasting my time with this one girl or not. It all started when she randomly started talking to me. During that time, she was giggling, and laughing, and all that stuff. Stuff progressed, and we started giving each other funny nicknames and were constantly talking. I let her borrow my math book, because she left hers at home one day. During the changing of classes, she hugged me and thanked me. The next day, she went for a high-five, but wouldn't let go for a good few seconds... we talked, and went our way. I caught her staring at me a few times for short periods of times, and then looked away. My friends told me there's no way she doesn't like me, and I should tell my feelings for her. Feeling confident, I did, with my friends in the background. But here is the catch--- after that, she seemed very awkward, mumbled and just kinda walked away. I don't really know what that means, and I'm hoping for the best. But really, I have no clue at all.....
