Question: He hasn't asked me to marry him? Posted: 26 Oct 2015 06:40 PM PDT My boyfriend and I have been together almost 3 years now. He's asked me before to move in with him ans I said no. We see each other just about everyday and we're over each other's places often. He lives alone, I don't like living by myself; I live with two female roommates. I know of women who got "stuck" playing house and 5,7,10 years went by with no ring and marriage is very important to me. Also dating doesn't always work out so I've never lived with a boyfriend because I didn't want a breakup to also mean moving out of my home. My boyfriend has landed his dream job but it requires him to move. He took me out to dinner and told me about it. He said that I was the most important thing in his life and he told me that he loved me. He said he wants to buy a house near his new job and wants me to come. And he said if I don't want to move with him, he won't take it. I know that I love him and that I want to spend the rest of my life with him. If he proposed, I would move in a second. But I don't want to put pressure on him so I said I'd think about it. I was talking to a friend about it and she said, "The ring is coming." And I said I don't know and she said that I shouldn't worry about it. I feel like I have no choice but to move and part of me is really excited but also scared that if I agree, he'll never marry me or he'll keep waiting. He doesn't strike me as a commitment-phobe. He's talked about marriage and starting a family. What should I do? |
Question: I forgot I proposed to someone is that bad? Posted: 26 Oct 2015 06:33 PM PDT Flouride- because I looked at my texts and realized I had proposed to 7 people at once and one accepted. I also forgot the wedding till ten minutes before it started, so I fessed up, that I forgot the wedding, but I did marry them anyway because it was the right thing to do. |
Question: I forgot to get married is that bad? Posted: 26 Oct 2015 06:16 PM PDT I was very maniac and jokingly sent a mass text to several friends asking them to marry me. Most just shrugged it off to my usual insanity but one agreed and actually remembered the wedding. I didn't remember the fake wedding till ten minutes before it was supposed to go on. Even still I came clean and told them I forgot the wedding but I did marry them anyway for the day as I felt like it was the right thing to do. Thoughts on this? I'm a terrible person aren't I? :( |

Question: Which of these bridal sets do you like the best? Posted: 26 Oct 2015 02:25 PM PDT My fiance has asked me to narrow down the bridal sets that I like. His budget is $650.00, and I can't decide which one I like the best. Which of these bridal sets do you like the best? 1: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00VQTNL00?keywords=black%20diamond%20bridal%20sets&nodeID=9539895011&qid=1445894386&ref_=sr_1_7&refinements=p_n_material_browse%3A114270011%2Cp_n_material_browse%3A319843011%2Cp_n_feature_six_browse-bin%3A2236325011&s=apparel&sr=1-7 2: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00VQU7WG8?keywords=black%20diamond%20bridal%20sets&nodeID=9539895011&qid=1445894345&ref_=sr_1_1&refinements=p_n_material_browse%3A114270011%2Cp_n_material_browse%3A319843011%2Cp_n_material_two_browse-bin%3A114274011%2Cp_n_material_two_browse-bin%3A319613011%2Cp_n_feature_six_browse-bin%3A2236325011&s=apparel&sr=1-1 3: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00VQU4PKE?keywords=black%20diamond%20bridal%20sets&nodeID=9539895011&qid=1445894713&ref_=sr_1_175&refinements=p_n_material_browse%3A114270011%2Cp_n_material_browse%3A319843011%2Cp_n_material_two_browse-bin%3A114274011&s=apparel&sr=1-175 |
Question: When too late to scale back wedding? Posted: 26 Oct 2015 01:01 PM PDT We were initially planning a wedding for 50 people and staying around $3-4000 (max.). The wedding would be on the more casual side as it is just a ceremony, drinks and drinks...no dance, photography, big poofy dress, etc. Recently we started talking about scaling back the wedding to just parents and ourselves mainly due to the amount of money that is being spent on one day while things around the house like landscaping and fencing and saving up for kids is on our minds. We haven't sent out invites but have been talking with friends and family about rough ideas of what we were thinking so far. And have only mentioned to my mom and best friend about who/how many we would invite. We haven't committed to any vendors as of yet but are close. The wedding is planned for 11 months from now. Wondering feedback or thoughts about if it is too late to scale back. Thanks! |

Question: What's a popular gemstone for an engagement ring? Posted: 26 Oct 2015 12:11 PM PDT I know that diamond is a popular center piece for an engagement ring, but are there other gemstones that are just as popular too? Please feel free to attach images of your engagement rings. |

Question: Should I bring my guy friend to my cousin' s wedding? Posted: 26 Oct 2015 05:52 AM PDT I should mention that I do get a plus one. I have this guy friend that I was sort of interested in who hasn't made any sort of move and I'm really not sure if he knows what he wants. I was in a wedding over the summer and I think cause I'm not in this wedding that it may be nice to have someone to talk to and dance with. he and I get along very well for the most part but sometimes he acts really shy around me. I'm debating cause I don't know if he will say no and plus he will get to meet my whole family. Any thoughts? I should mention this is a Friday evening wedding and it's right in the area of where we both work. Thanks for any suggestions. Just not sure if he would go I guess and don't want to make things weird. |
Question: My mom has told me she's bringing her boyfriend to my wedding, what do I do? Posted: 26 Oct 2015 05:35 AM PDT The past 24 hours have been pure hell for me and more stress than I needed. My mom left my dad yesterday morning for another man. He called me in shock and asked if I heard from her, I hadn't. He then told me about her leaving with another man after telling him she was filing for divorce. I got a call from my mom while I was with my dad, trying to comfort him, and she told me she'll be bringing her boyfriend to my wedding now. I'm getting married in 3 weeks!! I told her not to and she said she had to bring him or she wouldn't come. I told her not to come then, if she wasn't willing to attend without him. She then told me she WILL be there and she WILL be bringing him. To make matters worse, this "boyfriend" who she's been seeing for the last five years behind everyone's backs, is a man with a criminal record. He actually attacked my dad eleven years ago and served time. He was also incarcerated back in January for attacking someone at his sons wedding. What can I do now? I don't want her there if she's going to try to bring him. Hell, I'm not sure I want her there at all after all of this. Cheating was bad enough, but with the man she's with... |
Question: Should I invite my bio parents to my wedding? Posted: 26 Oct 2015 04:25 AM PDT I was raised by my paternal grandparents. They were the ones who took me home from the hospital after I was born. My bio parents stuck around for maybe two weeks, only visiting when they felt like it, before they both dropped off the face of the earth. I've always considered my grandparents my parents and they feel the same way. They even adopted me when I turned 18. My bio parents came back into my life just after the adoption. Both were furious when they heard and had the nerve to attack my parents/grandparents for doing it! My bio parents have both married other people, have kids with those spouses and a couple with other people. They tried to force their way back into my life and I told them I wasn't interested. I've heard everything over the last couple of years and I've learned to ignore it. I'm getting married soon. My bio parents have asked to be invited along with their families. To be honest, I'm not even sure how they knew about me getting married unless they're in contact with some other family members. I don't want them there. I don't want them or their families in my life. But my fiancés family have told me it would be poor etiquette not to invite them. Also want to add they're not paying for it. My fiancé and I are. |
