im a curious person and i want to know step by step do i tell everyone around or do i tell only a few people for them to spread the news? where do i go for it to be arranged?when do things have to happen and how long do i wait to get married after i told the news? any tips? what to do what not to do?

I was engaged once before and spent more than I wanted to on an engagement ring (5000$). We broke up and my ex ended up taking the ring and I'm assuming sold it. Anyway, that is all ancient history. About a year ago I met the love of my life. I am going to propose to her and have been looking at rings. Do I need to spend at least the same on this ring as I did before?

My parents anniversary is just around the corner and as their son I have to give a speech . I really cannot think of anything to say, I have bad social anxiety and am really freaking out on what to say in front of nearly 200 people. Can someone please give me a generic speech to say ?
