I grew up on the East Coast of the US outside of Philadelphia. I now live in the Bay Area, and am home after my first year at college. I truly did not like my experience at all. I miss the East Coast, the old buildings, the fall foliage, the sentimental feeling of it all. I miss the stone, brick, old, archways. Since last year was so rough, I tend to view things through a very romantic way, very much "the grass is always greener on the other side". I want to live in London or Paris or Boston or some old, beautiful place. My parents won't let me leave the state of CA now. I'm 19. Does anyone have suggestions?

My 12 year old brother just got an iPhone 5c in the middle of September and then just recently got it taken away for looking up porn on it. He got it taken away for a "week". He got to use his phone after school everyday for about 10 minutes to send messages to his friends. Then my mom got an email saying he and only he can get an iPhone 6s for about $3 a month. I'm 16, Sophomore in High School. My mom thinks she knows what's good for me, but she doesn't. I'm a junior in college at an all women's college. I've only dated one person, so far. We started dating my senior year of hs and into my first semester of sophomore year in college. Things were crazy with that relationship, but she was my first everything (relationship, kiss, lover). I was really hurt by her in that relationship. I gave up friends and family for her and even transferred colleges to be closer to home and ultimately closer to her. Once that relationship was over, I didnt talk to anyone for months! When I thought I was ready to finally talk to other people I did. I contacted this woman that I went to college with when I was away from home. So she does live probably 2hrs away. We have had our disagreements, but i really enjoy talking to her and we have talked about a future together. im just not convinced of how serious she is. And since I was cheated on I have my doubts. Going forward after graduation, starting my career, moving out should I include her in the equation or should I just focus on whats best for me and if something happens it happens? I have asked her before about a possible relationship and she just says that she wants to go with the flow but thats shes not having sex and waiting to be with me. So there's s guy I've known for a year at my school, and he's pretty sweet and nice. We've kind of always had different opinions and argued but I'm sick of it and want a clean perspective. As in someone who doesn't know me to give their opinion on this. I've had problems with school since 6th grade, with people and just overall experience. In early 9th grade I switched to homeschool after bullying incidents grew. Anyway that didn't work out so I though hey, I could get my diploma before anyone else and get a head start on adult plans. He hated the homeschool idea in the first place, and I mean HATED. He would fight me on the idea. Then when he practically forced me to apply to public schools before I start my GED prep and when I told him about the GED idea he made me feel so low. Like I'll never amount to anything with this kind of diploma. My mom is supportive but he's just so...'everything you do needs to be done the hard way and done traditionally'. He called me a cop out and he shouldn't have expected anything better from me. I'm 16, like what do you want from me? I understand he wants the best for me but I feel like anything I do isn't enough.
