Question: Do I NEED an engagement ring? Posted: 13 Oct 2015 08:42 PM PDT I was watching friends and Phoebe said "Maybe you can get her an engagement bracelet, or an engagement tiara." So I just started wondering, do you NEED an engagement ring, or can you have a different accessory? |
Question: Do you think my neighbor i work for is being unreasonable? Posted: 13 Oct 2015 07:42 PM PDT i have to mow lawns for my neighbor because i guess it's 'nice' he gives me 10 bucks an hour and today he flipped out because sometimes i stop to text or change music on ipod or play with his dog for a little while and he said i'm done i do this too often so i got mad and keyed his car and i guess he just happen to be looking out the window from his house when i did it and now he refuse to pay me for the last job at all. is this fair and can i file lawsuit if he doesn't pays me |

Posted: 13 Oct 2015 05:07 PM PDT She is 25, I'm 29, and she will be getting married next year. She's asked our youngest sister who is 23 to be her maid of honour and her friends, who are the same age as her to be bridesmaids. I've never been a bridesmaid before and I will never marry since I've never been in a relationship and I've never met anyone I like. I feel hurt because she's my sister. I'm not fat or ugly so I won't ruin her wedding photos. I 'm not trashy or a loser. I have a very good job and make $70000 a year. I don't know why she would be embarrassed by me. Do I have a right to be upset? |
Posted: 13 Oct 2015 05:04 PM PDT My wedding ring is an heirloom with some deep scratches and wear. Is it too expensive to get a tungsten ring made to accommodate the current stone setting and have the diamonds transferred? My husband suggested to just have them polish it... but do they correct the imperfections in the metal? |
Question: Barns to rent in the Lehigh Valley? Posted: 13 Oct 2015 04:09 PM PDT I'm having my Sweet Sixteen soon and I want to have it in a barn. I want to do it in early fall and have a pretty rustic, autumn theme. I also don't want to have to travel to far or make my friends go that far but I want it to be a nice barn. Are there any barns for rent around here? Thanks! |

Question: List of things bride and groom need to buy for a wedding? Posted: 13 Oct 2015 03:00 PM PDT Getting married next year but I just want to know are there certain things the couple need to buy their selves? In the Mexican culture both families pitch in and some pay for the reception, the food, church, music, but is there like things the bride and groom need to pay for? Aside from their honeymoon? |
Question: How can I ensure my DJ doesn't play any nonsense such as the YMCA or the Macarena? Posted: 13 Oct 2015 02:05 PM PDT I would prefer the music stay somewhat refined since it will be a black tie event |
Question: I'm not looking forward to my wedding. Help. Advice? Posted: 13 Oct 2015 02:00 PM PDT To me, my dream wedding would be a simple ceremony with friends and family and then just pizza and a bonfire in the backyard. I never wanted a big fancy wedding or anything like that. To me the day is supposed to be how much I love my partner and celebrating this huge moment in our lives. However we currently have planned, a huge formal black tie event that i'm not looking forward too at all. This happened when our parents decided to help may for a majority of the expenses. We both work and could have paid for the wedding i wanted easily but were guilt-ed into having the wedding our parents wanted for us. I dont know what to do. The wedding date is November 30th and most of the arrangement are already paid for. I honestly just want to get this day over with. I'm not excited for it at all. My fiance has the same vision i had of it but hes not as upset as i am over the way things have turned out. I dont want to just cancel everything and start from scratch. I would feel really bad about upsetting our families. I really dont know if i should just push through it and hope for the best or change it. TL:DR : I wanted a really casual wedding and our families pushed us into planning a big fancy wedding in a month that I'm dreading and that they've mostly paid for. Its not what i wanted at all and i don't know what to do. I get that I may sound ungrateful, but I'm not. Im very thankful for my parents and it means alot to me that they care so much. I feared speaking up would damage our relationship, my parents are a 'my way or the highway" type and his parents would have been offended we rejected their suggestions. I guess i did let it get out of hand. Hopefully it wont be as bad as Im making it our to be. |
Question: Is it important for a man to be sexually experienced before he gets married? Posted: 13 Oct 2015 01:46 PM PDT Since most women find inexperience a turn off and hate teaching a man to perform in bed. Does this mean that they prefer highly experienced men? |
Posted: 13 Oct 2015 01:07 PM PDT So my fiancés family is unbearable. We canceled our first wedding date because of them. And now I tried again and we got more and more name calling and I can t take it. Now I got in my head how I don t even want that last name. We both just want a new beginning. Something fresh. We are going to do a courthouse wedding or Vegas but we havnt decided yet. We are just looking for new last names. My name is Rachelle but I go by Shelly. His is Nathan but goes by Nate. Anything to go with our names. I barrel race in rodeos so would like something easy to say and unique. Thanks! |
Question: Renting the dining hall at Boothe Memorial Park in Stratford CT? Posted: 13 Oct 2015 05:58 AM PDT Hi everyone! It says the dining hall can be rented for 4 hours. Does anyone know if this is the only time they give you? Do they give you additional time for set up/take down? Thinking of having a wedding there but four hours just doesnt seem like enough time for decorating and clean up as well.. Thanks in advance to all who reply!! Thank you yes I know about the insurance, that cost comes to $180 not a big deal.. I only asked on here figuring someone with personal experience or knew someone who has rented it out would give me further insight.. I know I could've called Parks and Rec directly but didnt want to go through the hassle of answering all of their questions (date, how many people etc) before I got my answer to mine lol.. Thank you very much to those who have answered.. Sadly, Im on the search for somewhere else.. |
