Posted: 02 Jul 2015 04:16 PM PDT My boyfriend has recently gotten out of a six month relationship and still harbours bitter feelings towards his ex According to him she: Became sexually active at 12 with a 16 year old (but he did not know she was 12 until sometime after they slept together) After the 16 year old she became involved with another boy her age (13-14 this time) who fell hard for her and bought her jewellery. She was also having sex with him until one day out of the blue she decided to dump him After this she supposedly became sexually involved with two brothers who attended different schools. One was her age and attended her school, the other was 2 years older and attended another school. It ended when they (somehow) found out about each other. Then at 15-16 she became someone else's girlfriend and subsequently dumped him for his cousin (because the cousin was more 'popular' and apparently she latched on to boys who had something to offer) This cousin was her most long term boyfriend. Apparently she met my current boyfriend after she dated him as a dare and according to hm she says she fell in love with him but was in reality manipulating him and he fell for it. Admittedly I believe that there are two sides to every story and that my boyfriend may be embellishing some facts in order to influence my view of her. But I also feel like a bad girlfriend for doubting him. I actually became friends with his ex as she seems to be a very sweet, kind genuine person. According to by boyfriend however, every word that comes out of her mouth is a lie and that she uses her looks to 'deceive people. (she is very physically attractive), but having spoken to her she doesn't seem to have anything wrong with her at all and she always tries her hardest to be friendly. I somehow feel that my boyfriend is embellishing his argument to put me off her. He told me that he feels deceived, used and played by her, but what he is describing does not match m perception of her (she has become one of my closest friends) but i also feel that i am not supporting him enough. |

Now, my friend and I tell each other EVERYTHING to one another, and recently he told me that he's been doing drugs...since the 6th grade. I've known him since I was little and I really care about him. My friend is gay, and has a really hard life. We've both gone through abuse from a parent, but that's just created a bigger bond between the two of us. His boyfriend got him started in 6th grade. Now he's drinking, getting high, and much more. I want to help him, but he doesn't want my help. Because of this, we haven't talked in a week and I'm scared that he'll get hurt when he's doing all that ****. I want to get him to stop but he just won't. A few months ago when I found out he was drinking, I made him promise to stop and I found out that he drank after he promised and is still drinking to this day. He's so smart and talented and I don't want him to loose all of that because of his boyfriend and all that **** he's doing. I've had many bad encounters with his boyfriend and let me tell you he's a piece of ****. I've gotten many threatening text messages from that guy. Schools out now and I don't have any way to talk to him because he isn't answering my texts. There's a party that we're both going to in August...so what should I say then? How can I get him to stop? im the only one who knows besides his BF so I can't do an intervention. I really care about him. Please help? |

They are very studious, with an eagerness to learn and are very mature for their age (18 & 16 respectively).. which is great, but they are also.. very boring.. .. When I was Daniel's age I had an active social life. I had parties, smoked weed, drank alcohol, had sex.. it's normal to be rebellious at that age. My children don't have many friends, and the friends they DO have are always inviting them to parties, but they'd rather stay at home and study.. .. the main problem with this was when I held a barbecue and they completely embarrassed me. It was a leaving party, because we were moving house. There was several distant family members, like their cousins, aunts, uncles etc.. as well as family friends. They wouldn't touch a drop of alcohol, which is their choice, but when people started getting drunk.. they behaved so embarrassingly, looking down at the rest of us having a good time. They need to grow up slightly, and realize that this is the world we live in. People party and have a good time.. and at their age they really should be by now. .. how can I get them to stop being such snobs ? They have no right to look down on people the way they do. I didn't bring them up that way. |

I miss having my old girlfriend and her family. my life was so full of joy and it was great. now im so lonely and cant find joy in anything. its been two years since everythin good went away. now im a lonely cop with no life and im only 21. I can tell i'm the ugliest out of the group and they've admitted so. They get all the guys and complain about them not asking them out. I haven't had one guy like me this whole year. I had met friend J in a summer class when I was attending my local community college. We got along great, w her being friendly and kind towards me all the time, always wanting to hang out or just talk on the phone. i felt I could trust her and open up right away. we had a class together again in the fall semester, and its where I got to see how she really was. She was still friendly and seem to enjoy hanging out with me, but then when we made plans sometimes to hang out on the same day or the day of,she would say she couldn't for seemingly reasonable reasons(didn't have enough gas in her car, broke, babysitting) and at first I did not mind but then it kind of became a habit throughout the year. She would make it up to me by picking a different day, so I didn't mind much. It wasn't until I graduated from my college last December that we did stop talking and hanging out eventually,claiming she was broke and needed a job. Or she would say yah lets hang out but change her mind. She text me sometimes in the first few moths this yr, but it was school related and when I try and and ask about her life it would seem she was disconnected. we haven't talked in four months until I commented on her fb today saying happy birthday and she actually replied saying "thanks missy!!you should text me :) new phone". w that in mind, should or should I not rekindle this friendship? your advice is appreciated! thanks for reading. |

A levels are hard, so i would like this before i get sucked into the school life again. i live in the UK if that helps. you can only legally drink at 18 or at ur parents permission - now mine let me drink, if im with them, but i don't fancy partying with mum and dad so there lies one issue...how can i get booze - ik u can ask a stranger/friend but idk how to go about that, am not that ballsy and am wondering if anyone has any different ideas, bc i can't steal from parents as they notice. When i drink, i tend to really want a fag, so how can i get those. the age limit used to be 16 but now its 18 - again any different ideas? Now heres the biggy...Drugs. Now don't judge and give me the 'pugs not drugs' bs and that. i've done weed, but only a few times. Ik people i could ask, but she was a friend (we've kinda drifted apart) and so theres that boundry of getting things from a friend if u get me, plus i'd feel awkward and rude to speak to her more just to get some weed. So, im wondering, how do people even find dealers in the first place? im not an addict, i used to smoke but now its only every now and then when i feel like it - i change my mind a lot, so i might find i smoke a lot one week, and sometimes go more than a month without. Im also looking to build up my alcohol tolerance as im a lightweight.Tactics? Haha it's funny how the word 'drugs' makes ppl think of a teen crashing and burning. It doesn't ruin everyones life. Its the want to escape reality that causes addiction more than the drug - this is a short-term thing. Taking drugs isn't an adult thing, u'll find some 16yrs can handle far more than a 20yrs. once upon a time, society didn't even have this idea of 'childhood' and suddenly its this thing im meant to cherish? Posted: 02 Jul 2015 02:16 PM PDT I am in year 8 at secondary school and was getting changed from PE when Louis(Fake name) smacked Matt(Fake name) on the back now Matt was very angry so got a tennis racket and threw it at Louis this caused severe pain as the hand was not only red but then turned white, so this looked like there was going to be some massive fight so I told Louis to not do anything back to Matt as this made them even. Then Louis full on took me to the ground and jumped on top of me with all of his weight twice now I saw stars ,(coloured dots) going around my vision and was in so much pain and felt scared of Louis as he approached me to apologise I am really scared and do not know what to do as most of the people standing there (eyewitnesses) have denied seeing anything except him kicking me in the foot,(because everyone hates me and I have like 2 friends in the whole of school) |

Now my bestie still texts me first and tells me she wants to hang with me and tells me she loves me but she never tells me what's going on with these guys or any other ''secrets'' and stuff . I didn't really like him he was a little weird but the next year he moved away. And I didn't really have anyother friends. So John asked me one night if I wanted to come hangout and I had nothing better to do so I went over there. And ever since me and him have been best friends. But john's sister is pretty cool too and I had liked her since the 5th grade(I'm in 9th) she is a sophomore though. But me and her have been friends for 4 years and we hang out all the time, but I still feel like she doesn't 100% trust me and everything. Even when their parents were going through a divorce I was there for them and always nice and helped them get through it(my parents have been divorced since I was 2) but I just want to know how to get her full trust as a friend's nothing more... One of their moms posted a picture on Facebook saying sleepover. Then the daughter posted a selfie on Instagram. They facetimed me one minute after the other did. I think they were trying to make me say something bad about the other. I never told them I knew they had a sleepover. They have never told me anything about either. They are now acting like them regular self texting me like everything is fine. And yes I play along. What should I do? |

I will forget about them , but why are they actig like this? Are they both in love with him or they just dont care about me anymore? Posted: 02 Jul 2015 01:20 PM PDT At the moment and for the last 3 years, i've had like 4 friends i talk to, and that's bc we see each other everyday at school, if not i would have none. Im introverted, way more than normal shy people are. Due to this i tend to ignore people sometimes, i don't want to but well, i can't help it. They always bring up the fact that im always at home and have no friends besides them. I feel their pity, im not stupid. I hate that they do! Idk if its bc they care for me or are trying to feel superior about themselves, cause they have other friends outside from school im the only one who doesn't. I make it obvious i don't like it bc i try to get their attention to something else, acting like idon't care when it just ruined my day. They keep bringing it up, and it mkes me feel like crap but won't say anything cause i don't want them to know i too feel embarassed about my social situation but im not doing anything about it. I come home so depressed and worried this will go on the rest of my life. I feel like i lost my timing, like i had a chace to make friends, but blew it because of my shyness, and now here i am. Sometimes i feel so pathetic and alone in the world, like im the only one struggling and having a hard time when everyone's out having the fun of their lives. I just...don't know what to do. Lately everyone seems to pity me. And i haaaate that. |

We walked to each other's houses every day and our parents would drive us to shcool and we were always together. Once we were teenagers her parents started to think I was a bad influence on her (Even though we both smoked weed and it wasn't just me). But her parents were always friendly with my parents. Now her dad is getting remarried this month and I have not gotten an invitation (even though he talks about the wedding every time I see him). What's the deal?!? |

They are school friends, and if we didn't see each other everyday i wouldn't even have them and would just have zero friends. I admit im introverted, way more than normal shy people are. The thing is they always hang out with those friends on weekends and when we meet on monday they talk about their weekend and im there like..i stayed home, again. I feel their pity, im not stupid. I thought it would be a fun idea to catch up with some old high school friends, since most the people I hang out with are in their 30s, and it would be nice to have people my age who are still in college to hang out with! What I'm realizing is that almost everyones social life who are my age revolves around partying. And I'm just not that type of person. So when I got together with these girls from high school ALL THEY TALKED ABOUT WAS PARTYING. Literally the whole time. I would ask them questions about their life and it would always go back to partying. And they never once asked about my life. It makes me feel like such an outsider. I don't want to start partying, because I don't find that fun at all. But am I going to have to start if I want to get friends my age? People like me because I always act interested in their life, but when will they ask about me and my life? Am I wrong to be feeling like this? |

Posted: 02 Jul 2015 11:45 AM PDT For reference, I have a close friend I've known before I met my current boyfriend and he hasn't had any problems with the fact I talk to him until now. Often times, I'll let my boyfriend know I'll be busy for a few hours or going to sleep. Yesterday, I felt he was a bit distant. Then he asked me if, after I told him i was going to be busy for a few hours and while I was unavailable to him, I had talked to anyone else and a simple yes or no answer would suffice. I told him the truth, I was talking to my friend during that time. Then he calmly said he's been feeling uneasy and he feels something is wrong and if I could answer his questions. I didn't want to lie so I told him almsot every time I said I would be busy or when I went to bed, I still talked to my friend for hours. My boyfriend asked me why did I lie to him about being busy and sleepy and why was I only available to my friend during that time. Then he said he hates the fact I still text my friend even when we are spending time together, how I only give him my full attention when my friend in unavailable and how he feels like an option to me. My boyfriend has always given me a lot of attention, of his free time, been really caring and understanding until now. Since our argument, he has been cold, busy and distant. I don't know what to do. How can I make him see he's overreacting ? |
