My mom always takes my brothers side and my dad usually spoils my older sister. My mom takes my stuff, makes me go places, and sometimes hurts me. She says I'm lazy since I have nobody to talk to. All my friends are on vacation so it talk with my online friends who are really fun to talk to. She says my online friend is mentally ill and so am I for talking to her. She says I sit at the computer all dad because I'm a ***** and have no friends or social life. I only thought suicidal thoughts a few times. My brother and sister also have. My dad found out about these thoughts and he was crying because he thought he failed as a parent. My mom said "Hah, let him cry." My mom stays home with no job. My dad is a lawyer. I have nobody to talk to and my life is a mess. I play online games and talk to people on skype. My best friend is vacation, my other friend is also on vacation, and my other other friend's mom is way too overprotective and won't let her leave the house. I'm really lazy and bitchy, but I'm also alone and my siblings are constantly spoiled. ;( |

There are six other adults here, seven but one has brain damage, and two children. Am I wrong to think that I'm doing my fair share? In my opinion the other adults in this house are responsible too clean up after themselves and their charges. I do occasionally clean up after Cody too because it's not his fault he's got brain damage so I take a share in helping with him. I also buy my own food so I don't eat anyone else's and sometimes buy food and prepare meals for the house. I feel like it's not my place to do their housework or buy food for everyone else and they call me lazy and an asshole if i buy food for myself (which technically I'm not supposed to share with foodstamps but i do use cash too) *It's my uncle's house and pretty much a boarding house at the moment with all the people here |

The staircase is just in front of the door. I miss him very much and now he s coming to visit our home town! Problem is, I m not there! Next summer he can t come because he needs to take summer school. I'm a teenager obviously and when I turned 14 out of nowhere I became an angry person. Posted: 17 Jul 2015 12:17 PM PDT I always end up shutting myself in the bathroom at my boyfriends house when i lose it and start crying. Now this only happens very rarely. Sometimes when we have a fight he gets so angry that he needs his space and privacy and begs me to leave his room so he xan calm down. He has anger issues but is not abusive in any way. He's aware of his issue and calmly asks to be left alone because that's what helps him. The problem is usually when that happens i get so upset and start crying. He lives with his family and i dont like people see me cry and at his house the only other private place is the bathroom. I was on the verge of having a panic attack and i was crying uncontrollably. I went into the bathroom and stayed there sobbing for about an hour. I could hear people getting annoyed outside about the bathroom being hogged which only made me panic and cry more. I didn't want to hog it but i didn't want them to see me like that either. I'm too embarrassed and didn't want to have to explain what was wrong. Idk what to do if it happens again... |

When at his dads home, the dad, "forbids" any communication with the step-father and ,"listens in" and monitors all calls with the mother. But when at his mothers and step-father's place they give him privacy to call his dad, friends and family. The catch is that the Step-father and mother pay and provide the cell phone because the father won't buy him one. What should the mom and step-father do? take the phone away ? and make jimmy go back to the, "old way" of communicating before he was provided a phone which was using the step-father's phone to call his dad and his dad's phone to communicate with his mother? or let him keep the phone? | Posted: 17 Jul 2015 11:45 AM PDT Brother does drugs he is 26 and still lives at my parents. I am trying to succeed but it's super hard for me. I do not do drugs, but anyway I have no idea how to servive without my parents help either. Once you suck at school are you doomed wtf! I have a bachelors in somethig that does not help me in anything. I am stitting here waiting to go to the gym, but I cannot bc all cars are disable here, so my bro won't go out to get drugs. My parents are always stressed out. What can I do to fix my situation. Well nvm I cannot go to the gym bc no car works here, that they left. I will have to wait for someone to come from work. They disable all the cars so al cannot use them. What do you do with a brother like that? Going to the gym takes my mind off of life also I just went to visit my bf but lost my job for it bc I went for too long. We are in a ldr. I am talented in soccer but will not get picked for a pro team no matter how well I did at tryout better than any girl out there!! My brother works. |
| Question: Why are my parent so stupid? Posted: 17 Jul 2015 11:35 AM PDT My parent pisses me off so much, their friends and relative are huge backstabbers. Yet they still try to please them. I probably sound like I'm venting, but my parent never consider my feelings. All they cared about is looking good in front of others, so they won't talk bad about us. Why can't they grow some balls? Another reason why I hold a lot grudge because, my childhood is ruined due to their inexperience/stupidity. They trusted my neighbor and I was sexually abused, now I have many problems and They Are so clueless. they are probably the worst parent ever, I don't feel loved even though they gave me shelter and food. what can I do? |

Posted: 17 Jul 2015 11:22 AM PDT Whenever I'm sick she's like I think I'm also getting sick, whenever I get really bad allergies she also thinks she has allergies but I actually have severe allergies which are so bad and she just occasionally coughs just to pretend she does. We are moving to a new house and she came to visit and whenever I wanted to sleep on the futon she would go and fall asleep there right before me so that I would t be able to. Recently I've gone vegan and now she said she's making vegan dinners for herself. Everything I do she copies. |
| Question: How do I stay positive for my mother? Posted: 17 Jul 2015 11:22 AM PDT A lot has happened within this past week. My aunt had a baby, my mother was admitted to the hospital because of stroke like symptoms due to her high BP only to find out that she had a tumor near her brain, and my grandfather which was her father passed away, all in that order too. Well my mother just had surgery to remove the tumor and the doctor said that it went perfect and that it was all gone. When I walked in to see my mom, I started to cry because I never saw my mother like that. She heard me crying and even though she could speak and she was pretty awake for someone who just had brain surgery, she showed me with her hands that I shouldn't cry and that made me cry even more. Yesterday, I was with her and she always got nauseous from drinking liquids trying to take her pills. She didn't want to eat because she feared throwing up and that day she threw up 3 times and I was there for all 3. The doctor said that it could be from the anesthesia that's still leaving her body from her 6 hour surgery. I have been with my mom, everyday for 9+ hours since shes been admitted to the hospital because I never want her to be alone and I love her so much. Im 16 and on summer vacation so it doesn't bother me to be with her. She's only 44. While the nurse came in with the doctor to check my mom, I started to cry. The doctor pulled me out to talk to me and calm me down, when I came back in I saw a tear on my moms face. I dont want to stress my mom out with my sadness but I love her. What has me really worried is her BP. She has high BP and you know what that can lead to. Last night, it kept going high and I was so worried. They give her medicine for it but still. I try to keep calm but I can't because that's my mom. I don't want my mom to worry about me. I just want my mom to come home and be healthy. |
| Question: Why does my dad/parents favorite my little brother? Posted: 17 Jul 2015 11:17 AM PDT My dad is really my stepdad but has raised me since I was young, I have no relationship with my biodad. He clearly favorites my little brother (his real son) and it makes me mad. My 10 year old brother has 9 pairs of football cleats and a bunch of other really expensive football equipment. I have been running in the same pair of track spikes since my sophomore year. We're both really good athletes and he's probably come to less than 10 of my events. I'm a state champion in two different sports and he's never been to my state meets, like I'll get a "Congratulations, I'm proud" but he buys my brother stuff for small accomplishments. I need my parents to consign a really important loan for college and my mom can't do it cause she has bad credit, my dad can and he literally just refuses to he said to me "I guess you're going to community college then". I get stuff, but it's like I have to beg for stuff and they complain about it, but if he asks once he'll get it. And when I call them out on it they tell me that they spoiled me when I was little too, but I came from another country where I lived with my two older cousins and lived with my parents for 3 years until my brother came along. They abuse me (I wish I was being dramatic, but like I've been put in the hospital before) but my brother is spoiled and rude and my mom wont do anything to him and if my dad yells at him she jumps in and tells my dad to stop and hugs him and kisses him and no one does that for me. What do I do? |

Posted: 17 Jul 2015 11:11 AM PDT Maybe like a month ago my parents knew i smoked weed in the backyard and confronted me about it but never took anything away. Just recently, i was smoking in my room and everything was smelly and the next day i woke up to my parents yelling at me and i had to basically flush the weed down the drain. i dont know what to do next, im 17 years old, help |

| Question: Am I normal of immature? Posted: 17 Jul 2015 11:01 AM PDT So me and my brother fight, but only cause he's pisses me off so much. He blames everything on me. I hit him occasionally to teach him a lesson, but he doesn't learn. He's 10 but acts like he's 6. My sister who is 18 thinks that I'm so immature and I shouldn't be hitting my younger brother. I'm 15 by the way. Everything my brother does pisses me off the way he talks, what he talks about and when he talks. He is more violent than me though I may punch him once in a while, but he scratches me, throws crap at me, and brutally kicks my *** sometime cause i don't want to get in trouble for making him cry, cause that would make me feel guilty for no reason. I have scratches all over my body and It hurts when I go in the ocean, he is very violent, but my sister is on his side. I don't get it, but all my older sisters get made at me for annoying him when I get bored or try and show him not to be a disrespectful brat to me... I thought this was normal? (I'm male btw) I have no feeling toward my sister at all. No love, compassion or anything. I hated her when I was younger cause she's my mom's favorite and we fought a lot She was always the one who couldn't do anything wrong and I was always blamed. We don't hug or anything. If we do it's awkward as hell. I feel that it is wrong and I should build some sort of relationship with her but I do t know where to start? Any ideas? |

Posted: 17 Jul 2015 10:49 AM PDT my wife will soon be entering county jail for seven months for a money crime. . I am willing to stick by her and not leave her because I feel She made some stupid mistakes but it was out of character so I think she just got herself into a bad situation and make some poor decisions. And I am not defending her or saying she should not serve her punishment. I told my kids she is rightfully serving her punishment which is the right thing for her mistakes. I am wondering what is the best way to prepare for this situation and how to handle it. I have a daughter who is 15 and she seems to be handling it fine. I told her right away about it and she reacted pretty calmly. She later joked about how her mother is "getting ordered around now". I think it is just a joke and I think it is better to be that way instead of being hysterical about it . I was originally not going to let her visit her mom in jail because I would think exposing her to that environment is not a good idea but I am actually hearing that it is a good idea to let her visit but why? isn't it a bad idea to let a 15 year old be exposed to a jail. She could easily be intimidated by the guards and inmates and just the area. My wife says bring her if she wants to visit but don't if she doesn't. She says she doesn't have a problem visiting but I am not sure. Also I want to make sure it doesn't feel like the whole family is in jail . I am not sure what the benefit in visiting is over phone calls |

Posted: 17 Jul 2015 10:49 AM PDT One day my parents just came up to me and said where's the laptop charger I replied I didn't know but the said you had it last so you must've lost it. What bothers me is that I haven't touched in days. Sure enough I ended up looking for it and finding it plugged in at another place of our house. I gave it to them and they just said where was it I replied plugged in the other outlet downstairs. And all they said was see you put it there. I was annoyed but I decided not to say anything. I don't know why they always blame me for missing stuff. I mean my grandparents were the one who plugged it in! It's not just the charger it's a bunch of other items too |

Posted: 17 Jul 2015 10:41 AM PDT Reasons: 1) she sleeps until 5:00 pm and goes to sleep at 9:00 pm 2) she never does anything around the house 3) she always cancels our plans to sleep. Why I think those are unacceppectable: 1) there is no reason for her to sleep that long. Although she says she sleeps because of headaches I think it is impossible for a headache to occur 24/7 2) I feel like she should at least do laundry or something around the house. I'm 13 and I have an 8 year old sister and I think she is setting a bad example for both of us by doing this. 3) so everything our family is planning to go somewhere she says no you guys go I have to sleep. She can at least do something with her family that she NEVER does. Reason I think she acts like this: 1) about 2 years ago my mom just kept over dosing on pills and finally almost died. She knew what she was doing because she used to be a nurse. When this happened she wrote DNA all over her body what ever that is soppessed to mean. But ever since that and before that she has been acting this way. Questions: 1) is her almost killing herself a reason to act like this? 2) why does she act like this? 3) do you think she has a right to do this? I have been mad at her the longest time for this and I just need help understanding why she tried to kill herself and why she has to act like this. |
| Question: How Can We Get My Father In Law Custody of My Fiances Little Sister? Posted: 17 Jul 2015 10:41 AM PDT My fiance has a little sister who is 10 years old, and is in the full custody of her grandmother on her father's side. She has recently came home from a psychiatric inpatient hospital and is doing really great. My fiance took her out for her birthday, since she missed it while she was in the hospital but now the grandmother wants to send her BACK to the hospital! She's been doing great, and has had no problems whatsoever. The grandmother got on to my little sister in law for calling her father (there is nothing stating she can't have contact with him) and she told her she couldn't see him. My fiance tried to intervene and the grandmother told her to "shut your f*cking mouth" and told her to get out of her house. The grandmother has been doing things like this to my little sister in law for a while now, and has had her in and out of the hospital for reasons we don't deem valid. We want to try to help her father get custody of her so she doesn't have to worry about whether she is going back to the hospital or not. She's been in foster care, and we don't want her to go back there either. We want her with family that will take care of her like she should be. Can someone PLEASE tell us what we can do? We need to get her out of there, but we don't know how to present a strong enough case to the court for a custody battle. |

Posted: 17 Jul 2015 10:34 AM PDT I'm not at all trying to sound like "that annoying girlfriend" but seriously, his mother is insane. One time I was invited to dinner with his family and she asked me what I plan to get my degree in, once I answered human rights, she said to him while I was sitting right there, "Oh honey, she's not for you. It's like she's a liberal or something…" I didn't say anything because I was shocked and very offended that she would say that right to my face. Another time we invited his family over for dinner and I didn't eat a huge amount. (I'm a small person, I'm only 4'9" and even as a baby I didn't prefer large portions) She then proceeded to tell me that she thinks I have an eating disorder, which I don't. Now every time I see her she demands that I tell her everything that I've eaten that day and I don't say enough food items she gets angry at me. I'm a vegan and she thinks that veganism is linked with anorexia, which it isn't. Yesterday was the last straw. I woke up at around 7 am to a text from him telling me to come downstairs. When I got downstairs I realized that he was in my driveway with his mom. He came on to my front porch where I was greeted by his mom with "Did you know he was coming over?!" I said no because I had no idea then she continued with "You are a liar! That's a lie!" The worst part is when she told me I was trying to throw him under the bus. I almost started cryingI was so angry. I've always respected her but she acts like I'm a terrible person. Help please!! |

I have one of his brushes. I haven't used it just kept it because I miss him. |

They pay for my gas and let me use the family car, they buy groceries for me, get me good quality clothes, and overall just provide for me. They also have a lot of expectations of me and it puts A LOT of stress on me. They expect me to get all A's, practice violin everyday, help around the house and keep all my space in the house neat 24/7, decide what I want to do with my life and where I want to go to college, and get "enough sleep". However, while they put all this responsibility on me, they also are very strict and controlling. They make me go to bed by 10 every night, 11 during the summer, they don't allow me to go to my boyfriend's house, ever, they don't let me watch rated R movies, they don't let me hang out with friends most of the time, and they make me study for the ACT while helping around the house in all my "spare time". They expect me to get all my homework done, keep everything clean, stay organized and remember everything I have to do, while still getting to bed at 10! It's ridiculous! I have after school activities most days and I can't seem to get it across to them that I just don't. have. time. I need help, please explain to me why parents expect you to "grow up already" and act like adults when they mostly try you like a child and don't let you do anything. |

When I was 14 I asked my but we ended up fighting and my dad got involve.They both rested and said my sister was crazy.I wasn't starting to leave it like this so I asked my mom to tell me the truth.She said when she was 15 she had my aunt/sister,but she gave her to my grandmother.Till this day I still feel real hurt. And then last week I used my dads phone to call someone because my phone was charging.My parents share the same FB and they would care if I checked their FB. I realized that woman was calling their FB but I didn't answer bcuz I didn't know who it was. I imagined it would be an aunt from Mexico that I've never met or something. it said "hi daddy, I really miss how are you". I was so shocked I felt numb. I didn't say anything to either of them. so yesterday my dads phone was in the kitchen table and my mom was using hers. I caught that same girl pop up.. I looked into it and my mom saw me so she ran and took the phone out to me. She told my daddy that I grabbed the phone out of her hands so I got in trouble, so I got so mad at both at them because she was lying.I can't my can be such a person.I am so hurt Bcuz I've never met my family from Mexic.Sometimes I feel like my life has been a lied to. | Question: How can I deal with a mom who is easily offended? Posted: 17 Jul 2015 09:26 AM PDT My mom likes to guilt trip me whenever i throw the slightest hint of insult in her direction. This was caused by my dad often being disrespectful towards admittedly oppressive parents, as well as my mom growing up with parents who tolerated no signs of lack of discipline and respect. She recently saw an email of mine titled "trolling" ( just some screenshots of jokes on Facebook with some friends that contained a ton of swear words). She asked me to open the email so she could read it, and i refused. Then she kept asking in an increasingly imperative manner, until i snapped and asked her if she was crazy, that i had the right to keep my emails private and that no parent in their right mind would demand to see their child's private emails. Apparently i had asked her if she was crazy once or twice in the past (in a similar context) and then she got really offended and started almost crying over how she had failed her duty as a parent and how i imitated wrong behaviors of my dad. She has a similar reaction whenever i say something similar to "that's just stupid" or "a parent in their right mind would never do that". I don't want to have to think extensively before uttering a single word in fear of offending her! What can i do to make her understand that she shouldn't be offended that easily? |

If I ever decide to leave this world I think I would be better off. No one needs me anyways. Everyone wants to hurt me. I didn't do anything to deserve any of this. I mean I go to school, get good grades, I don't smoke, drink or party. I have the worst life ever. I recently just started cutting. It feels great. I mean the pain is still there but so much pain in my chest it numbs the pain. If I die my mother says she wouldn't care. I believe it. That's why it sounds so easy to do, because it's not hurting anyone. I mean I rather be together with my best friend again bengi. That is if I go to heaven. The only reason I haven't succeeded in my plan is b/c it can result in an even worst eternity. I can't run away, I mean where to, like I said no friends, no family that really gives a **** about me. This has turned into the worst year of my life. & it's only summer. I mean I ask my "siblings" for help. No one answers. That's how it is in my life. No help. No savior. My mother doesn't trust me cause she went through my phone & saw I was talking to this guy but we were nothing serious. She doesn't even let me go out to the park. I have NO privacy. She has MANY financial issues & since I'm always home she always puts the anger all out on me. Tbh I just want to leave this world. NO ONE will ever understand my life. | Question: I don't know how to feel about my dad ?? Posted: 17 Jul 2015 09:20 AM PDT So when I was born my mom was really young! My dad was like way older probably in he's late or mid 40's. He already had 5 kids and he wasn't the best dad to them but still he was there for them. But when it came to me and my mom I was rejected. I was kept a secret from his whole family !!!!! He was embarrassed to introduce me to his family because according to his Christian mom he should have been married before he had anymore kids!!! So he didn't want his mom to be disappointed so he kept me a secret !!!!!! From his whole family!!!!! My sisters!!!! Everybody!!!!! It's like the only time we would be with each other when he wanted to take me to get sneakers because he always wanted a boy but never had any I'm not a boy but he tried to make me one !!! But I always felt like if I was a boy he would of loved me more he would of been there for me !!! (I DONT WANT TO COMPLAIN BECAUSE OTHER PEOPLE HAVE WORSE ISSUES WITH THEIR FATHER) but I'm just hurt I bothers me because now he wants to build a realationship introduce me to his family and then I can't because I get a lot of anxiety with his family and I feel they judge me I can't get comfortable with them! I'm 13 by the way! And his business is falling apart so now he feels guilty but when I can't get comfortable with his family he gets so angry at me he always says why! Why do u act funny around my family ! I can't help my self sorry this io pray about it all the times so long I just don't know what to do ! |
