Posted: 31 Jul 2015 05:05 PM PDT My first day of freshman year at an all-guy school is coming up soon, and I realized I'm going to have no friends that go to the same school with me. That means it's either I be alone the entire time, or I somehow make friends. I want to make friends, but I'm a little shy. I kinda want to make a small group of friends, but I'm not sure how to do so. Plus, I don't know if any guys there are in the same boat as me, because if they already do have friends, they might not want me. I don't really play sports, but I like volunteering and doing clubs, but I won't be doing those until later on in the year. I figured if I made friends within the first few days of school, I'd have the best chance at becoming good friends with them. And also, if I did get a group of friends, how would I make that group? Or should I join an existing group and try to blend in? I thought about merging all my individual friends into a group too, but that'd be really difficult, as some people in my group might not get along well. I'm not sure, and I'm really nervous. Trust me, I've tried to be creative but all I've got so far is going to get her a tattoo and piercing. She is blind, I am pregnant, and I have about $100 to spend on fun. We can't do outdoor stuff (friend blind), we can't drink (me pregnant), can't go to an amusement park (again, me pregnant.) I also live in a small town so there's not a ton to do, for a blind person and a pregnant woman. My friend claims she enjoys shopping, but everytime I've done that with her she gets bored quickly and who could blame her. It's the same with bumming around town, she loses interest quickly. Help me out so we don't end up watching its always sunny the entire time. |

Like seriously, one night we were all together then the next day they didn't answer any of my texts, i was confused but I didn't worry. We all have jobs so I usually work everyday and those three all work at the same job so they're together 24/7. I have been texting our group chat every night, and they still don't respond. I'm so confused. We have been best friends since before high school, and I'm going to the same college as two of them (penn state). We planned on living in an apartment our sophomore year of college and everything but now that doesn't seem certain. I'm not trying to be an ****** but I've always been the more popular one who got the girls in high school,they were also in my friend group but never really had the success with girls as I did and they always seemed jealous of that. She has also bragged about how she attacked her therapist(s),saying that she kicked,bit,and scratched them. Warning: I mention things such as cutting in the next part. There have also been incidents where one of my friends (who has all of her classes with her) told me that she was grumbling and grunting loudly while she tried to cut her arm with the metal band of a ruler.My friend told me that when she tried to help and talk to her,she was turned away.She has also told me that she tried cutting herself with pencils and said that she liked the sight of blood during their classes. Posted: 31 Jul 2015 04:10 PM PDT I feel a lot of guilt for some of the things that I have done in the past but everyday it still consumes me to the point where I constantly feel like a deserve to die because I feel like the only way that'll make it better is if I kill myself. The main issue is that I only have one best friend/only close friend but we had a falling out back in the fall. She already confessed to me and we've made it passed it but I feel like it's still lingering. I know that she doesn't have to forgive me. She became upset because I didn't help her when she need it and now I try to make things better but there's nothing I can do. It has to do with her college classes and she dropped a language class because of me and now her pass credits for it don't count at her transfer school. So those 3 years, don't count and were a waste. If it wasn't for me she could have continued it and wouldn't have to start a completely new one. It's not just this but some other small things. I just feel so horrible and I feel like I should just get rid of myself because I messed up her college life. I just feel so completely guilty, I don't know what to do. |

It started off by him drunkenly telling me that he liked me and me declining because I have a boyfriend and politely telling him that. Then I started to get to know him a bit more and found out he's in a 'bad place' ,self harms frequently, has suicidal thoughts and goes to therapy. He started to tell me that I've stopped him from self harming by talking to him without realising which obviously makes me glad that I'm helping him. Recently he's been saying that he's started self harming again and constantly feels like he's not good enough even though I reassure him everyday that he's great and I love him but he needs more than that now. He tells me that he's happy that I'm happy with someone else and he just needs to get over it but he told me he's started self harming because I don't like him like he likes me. I've told him maybe he needs to take a break from me to clear his head and focus on things like his hobbies and find other things that make him happy but I'm afraid he's going to self harm even more or worse because he thinks I'm the only thing that can make him happy. I'm not near as smart as my parents think, my two older siblings were the star children, they could do anything they set their mind to, everyone knew my older siblings. Me on the other hand, I'm much more shy, reserved, and nowhere near as interesting. Lately I've been given a lot of responsibility, and when I screw things up (Which I do a lot) I feel like everyone discards me as "the stupid one". I managed to fall in love with my best friend, I think she is my soulmate but I don't want to tell her cause I don't think I will ever deserve her, mostly because I feel like a sick person for some things I've done (i.e. getting addicted to porn) and I highly doubt she'd ever like me. The worst part of all of this is that I have no one to talk to about my problems without looking like a ******* pussy. Every thing has gotten so bad that I've started hitting myself every time I do something wrong. (DISCLAIMER: No I'm not goth, and no I'm not emo. So don't you dare paint me as an attention grabbing *****) I haven't told anybody about it until now. She started tickling me on my feet earlier so I started tickling hers.. well at least trying to. She didn't think anything of it so when we got in the water (we were at a lake) I kept tickling her feet when we went on the trampoline. Whenever she passes me going the other way she waves, usually she sees me first. Few weeks ago she was parked at a bus stop and I was coming towards her and as I checked my right mirror I noticed her waving at me, but in a slow way with a soft look at me. Also on that day when overtaking my bus she looked back and waved at me. A couple of weeks ago we met at the bus terminal on the way to the toilet and she said "hi how are you" and asked me how my disciplinary meeting went and when would I be getting transferred to her depot. She would then talk about her getting into trouble for speeding by management. We were talking for about 5 mins. She said she was running late and needed to use the toilet and had better go. I left to go outside and she then came out after using the toilet and on passing me to get into her bus said she had bad hay fever, again as if initiating something So few days ago she was coming towards me on her bus and she puffed her hair up but acted like she didn't see me and ignored me, so I thought i'd do the same when I see her again. So yesterday we both pulled up at bus stops on other side of the road from each other and she looked behind to see who was driving my bus and saw it was me and waved. I looked at her but ignored her. So she waved again and again I kept looking but ignored her. She then looked puzzled and waved again and I smile laughed because she kept trying and she then had a happy face and drove off |

If I told them I starve myself and destroy my body tricking and deseiving my brain into a fantasy world, that today is completely implausible. I have lost my faith. I have lost my will. I find hatred and disdain in everyday life, my feeling are so loose and vapid that currently I have lost all intrest in my desires, the only comfort I want is for everything to end. but what would that do, mit wouldn't solve anything and nothing happens after and if something does I ont be with god I have sworn on his name and brought shame to the religion too many times and I simply don't believe in it. He's been coming up with excuses a lot recently when I've asked him to hang out with me and I'm really starting to think that he doesn't want to be my friend and this has happened once before but I gave him a second chance but I feel like he's not worth it. Not. One. Bit. I'm in the same situation with another guy as well and he just disappears and turns off his phone whenever he says that he's going to check with his parents if we can hang out the day after or so and it really annoys me and I think they're both really toxic and I just want to tell them that we're through, that we're not friends anymore and that we will never be. And yet I'm wondering if this is still ok to do to them. |

The school consists mostly of Hispanics and Blacks. The people there in general, are disrespectful and immature. i literally mind my own business, i never say or do anything to them and these people don't know me but they will glare at me, gossip about me laugh and insult me and they do it in front of my face. i never provoked them. There's nothing wrong with the way i look or the way i dress. This has been going on often. I'm there to transfer to a 4yr university but this is making me very uncomfortable. The question is how do i deal with this? I've been calm and patient and mature about it, i have been ignoring it and not retaliating, not once. They will do it in groups of people, when i walk over they will glare at me and laugh at me and try to intimidate me. if i tell the teacher, they cant do anything about it, can i tell security? i have a right to education and to feel safe on campus and i'm sick and tired of feeling like i'm harassed at school. @ Sandy did you even read my question? how am i being punk if i'm not doing anything to harass or insult them? How is my behavior insulting to them if i'm not attacking them? i have not said anything offensive or insulting, are you suggesting i should bully them back? At this school, it is in a area where people are more confrontational, the students act like highschool students. The students even do this to some other students and even disrespect the faculty/ teachers. I'm not doing anything wrong, it's the environment. i don't want to mess up my education just because of these students. If i'm not doing anything wrong and minding my own business, how am i at fault |

We don't hang out much but I do follow him on Twitter & the guy writes nothing but ignorant things on there, examples are mocking gays/transsexuals, dissing cosplayers & demeaning women. It's not just online he even makes rape jokes every time he comes over. One time we were talking about how if a girl wants to be just friends then that's cool, but he said no it's not because if a girl says no you have to keep trying until she says yes. I went over to her house to check on her since we live in the same neighborhood, and although there are two cars in the driveway, indicating there should be people at home, no one came to answer the door. I tried again a couple hours later, just a few minutes ago. but still no answer. I don't want to jump to any conclusions, but I've got a bit of a sinking feeling that something might be wrong. Basically I'm just really pissed off with life right now. I've never been in a real relationship before and I feel kind of embarrassed about it. I've always been referred to as attractive, but still no girls have really came around yet, which sucks since all of my friends have girlfriends. Also, I'm just so sick of school. Not the work, but I'm just sick of being treated like sh*t by my teachers and friends. In my city everyone I know just hates me: classmates hate me (I am really successful at school and I think that s a reason) , parents hate me ( I am not that kinda person who just says "parents hate me" and knows that they don t. They are the ones who say they hate me.), even the people who don t know me hate me just because my classmates told them about me some things. The only people who really love me and who I love more than myself live 401 far away and it s not like "distance means nothing", they can t defend me when I need to, they can t help me when I need to. I am always the one who defends myself. I just got tired of living like that. Any ideas what can I do? |

We were having issues on the business side of things. Tom said I can't work with you anymore Ryan. I am still at the same company as Tom just recently moved to a new team. Tom took a vacation from work at the finance company right after telling me that we can't work together on the same team we are at together so he hasn't been in the office for 5 weeks. I called Tom to ask where we stand and if we are still friends or what. He wasn't answering my calls or text messages for the last 2 weeks that he was on vacation from work from the finance company. So I showed up at his family restaurant unannounced and Tom says to me I feel like I am being harassed right now and I am borderline going to call the cops. Then I said to Tom, so I am not a friend then since I came to hash things out and you want to say I am harassing you and you are going to call the cops. Then me and Tom spoke for like 20 minutes. Tom then said I am still your friend we just need to separate our teams from a business aspect. Then Tom says I will still invite you out to family events like my birthday party, Christmas parties etc and I will go get dinner and a beer with you sometime. Then he gave me a full hug me and said would you like a bottle of water. I said sure. So on the last day of school my friends and I stayed over at someone's house. When we were playing truth or dare my friend dared me and my other friend, Vera, to eat five brownies in a row. We eventually got hyped up on sugar and I was totally making a fool out of myself, but I was with my friends so it didn't even matter. But Vera took my phone and started taking Snapchats of me. I didn't care until I woke up the next day and I had a whole bunch of "Opened" Snapchat notifications. Vera had ended up sending all the Snapchats to all of my contacts. Granted, all of my contacts are my close friends except for this one. She's incredibly popular, and she talks to me and my friends but not that much. I guess you can call us "acquaintances". She's nice, but her friends are really intimidating and I know that if they saw the Snapchats because she showed them, my life would be over. I managed to brush it off back then but today I came across one of their Instagrams and the more I looked at how many of them there were and how scary they are to me (I have Social Anxiety so that's also why I'm freaking out that their going to judge me) I just freaked out all over again. I don't go back to school until September and when that year ends I'll be rid of them, but I'm honestly just freaking myself out that when I get back they'll all be laughing at me. |

Yes, I talk back to my parents occasionally, forget to do my homework, etc. but that is about it. All of my other friends talk about drugs, sex, and alcohol, but I have no interest in any of those. I only go to parties when im forced to and half of the time I end up hating them anyway. Don't get me wrong, I like to go out with my friends, but I would way rather go shopping, out to dinner, etc. instead of hard partying for the night. Also I want to be extremely successful when I'm older, so I do a lot of things and work really hard at them like dance class and acting lessons. Everyone thinks im weird because I would rather be working hard instead of out partying, but I just don't see why! I have a few friends that are younger than me and I feel like I connect with them so much better than friends I have my age. Adults tell me a lot that eventually I will get into drugs and kissing guys and stuff like that, but that is so not me! I just don't like doing normal teenage things! Is any of this normal? |

Posted: 31 Jul 2015 12:04 PM PDT If you told someone you didn't answer their text right away because your phone died and it turned out you needed a new battery, but couldn't get it for a couple of days... would that be believable enough? I know needing a new cell phone battery would be, but would it be believable to say you couldn't get it the next day because they had to order one for you (like they didn't have one for your phone in stock, hadn't got a shipment yet, etc.)? Example - you didn't get back with them because it died, so you went to the store when they opened and they confirmed you needed it, but didn't have it, so they told you they'd order it. Should you also throw in needing to charge it all night once you did get it? Thanks - I know sometimes if you tell someone something like this (even if it is 110% true), they STILL might deny it and think that it was too "drug out" to be "legit". I know cell phone company outlets don't always have EVERY accessory replacement on hand, so sometimes it really might take awhile. I just wanted to know if this was an ok reason/excuse or if most people would automatically call major BS and right away think you were lying. |

Posted: 31 Jul 2015 12:04 PM PDT After a rough year we had (fights,arguments) we became distanced and things were said that shouldn't have,i pushed her away at times,she became friends with her x best friend again who betrayed her before,she talked what a bad friend she was to me and i supported her without being nasty about the other girl,but now shes running with her and making the same plans with her that we planned years ago to do together,shes slowly pushing me away,and became more rude towards me,it all about "we decided without you" This girl means the world to me,she helped me through so much and i would never not be there for her,and i really messed up by not realizing that earlier but it's like shes out to hurt me now,and the tables have turned,it hurts knowing that your best friends chooses someone who betrayed them before over you.And me being there for her at those times when that girl hurt her,and seeing them replace me really hurts,i care too much about our friendship but i dont thing she realizes that and i dont know what to do anymore,do I just let go of this friendship and blame myself or is there other options? Now im getting involved in situations i dont want to just so i wouldn't lose her,but is it the right thing to do? |
