Question: Which color do you think is best for wedding? Thanks!? Posted: 27 Jul 2015 11:00 PM PDT Next month one of my best friends will be married. I'm so happy to hear that. I wanna send her something as a gift. Personally, I think the sheets are a good choice. Through searching that, I found maybe this one is great: http://www.amazon.com/Honeymoon-Breathable-Fade-resistant-Bedding-Pockets/dp/B00O0M4HOE/ It is made of bamboo fabric and cotton. It's good. I wanna buy one for her. But I don't know which color is best for wedding. What do you think of it? Any suggestiond? |

Posted: 27 Jul 2015 06:55 PM PDT We live in New Orleans, we were thinking of a fun clean scavenger hunt boys vs. Girls during the day. Go to a hotel where we have separate boys and girls room get dressed for dinner and a night out all together. We just don t have any ideas for the scavenger hunt and need help. |

Question: I'm Hindu and I lost my virginity. How do I repent ? Posted: 27 Jul 2015 03:34 PM PDT It was a horrible decision. I feel so guilty. I want to know if their is some kind of pooja I could do for forgiveness. I really wanted to be a virgin for my wedding night but now I never can. My parents won't be able to do the Kanyadan (Giving away the Bride) ceremony. Is there something I can do to make this right. |
Question: Mother won't stop giving me grief about wedding dress, what do I do? Posted: 27 Jul 2015 03:08 PM PDT So I was wedding dress shopping recently with my mom (and yes I'm paying for it) and I liked dresses similar to this: http://www.allurebridals.com/products/2610 but my mom said - to form fitting to be modest! She said she'd force me to wear a winter coat over it and then this: http://www.allurebridals.com/products/2851 to which she said too low cut to be modest! She threatened to tie a shawl around me if i picked this one then I tried on this gem, which I loved: http://www.allurebridals.com/products/M524 her response: It's too big and fluffy and I'll look ridiculous and then she'll have to come and hack off several of the tulle layers When I told her that I would not allow her to follow through on any of these threats, she said "Watch me. And if you somehow manage to get around these modesty alterations, I will publicly embarass you in front of everyone." I know most people would dismiss these threats, but I know from experience where she has made threats like this before that she WILL follow through on them. i have left home a while ago |
Question: How much does it cost to have new rings made out of old ones? Posted: 27 Jul 2015 02:27 PM PDT My boyfriend s mom gave him her engagement ring and wedding band (from her divorce) for when we get engaged, and while I love and appreciate the significance, I don t like the styles of the ring or band. Does anyone have experience creating new jewelry by reusing gold? We would want to use the gold to create a new engagement setting for the diamond as well as use the gold from the band to create a new wedding band. Around how much did it cost you? |
Question: Is it okay to ask the mom to be to contribute financially to her baby-shower? Posted: 27 Jul 2015 01:52 PM PDT I am hosting my childhood best-friends baby shower. My dilemma is that 1) she has very expensive taste and 2)she is inviting 150 people. I originally thought that it was going to be a small modest get together of maybe 15-20 people where we play silly games and watch her open presents. But she wants it to be a huge affair. She has called this a second wedding. I recently lost my job and am moving cross country. Although, I am financially strapped I am contributing $650 to her baby shower. In addition to the $650, I also have to purchase a plane ticket to attend. I assumed that since she makes a lot more money than me, is inviting 150 people and is aware that I lost my job, am moving cross country, have to purchase a plane ticket to attend and am contributing $650 that she was going to pay for the majority of the shower. However it turns out that she only budgeted to pay for the food and a couple hundred dollars towards the shower. So my question is since she is the one that is requiring a huge baby shower can I ask her to contribute more financially? I deeply care about her and was honored to host her shower, however I am not in a financial position to host a baby shower for 150 people to her standards...Is it tacky to tell her that? And how do I tell her that without ruining our friendship? Can I ask the other woman who were her bridesmaids for financial help? |
Question: Thoughts on eBay wedding dresses ? Posted: 27 Jul 2015 01:52 PM PDT so im getting married ! Im thinking about ordering a wedding dress off of eBay ? Has anyone ordered a dress of some sort off of eBay ? Did it turn out how you expected it to be ? |
Question: Dealing with my family about my long engagement? Posted: 27 Jul 2015 01:46 PM PDT To say my family is strict and traditional would be an understatement. I'm 26 and got engaged in January. We agreed to get married in 1-2yrs. A big factor is the money I get for school through scholarships and FAFSA. Plus my fiance is in the Navy in another state for the rest of this year, so we cannot even live together right now since I'm in school. I ended up going to school part time because of work. Therefore I won't finish until next spring. My parents are saying he is "stringing me along" and asking why we aren't married yet and saying it's a fake engagement and making nasty comments anytime I speak to them. We AGREED AS A COUPLE to wait. These are decisions he and I are making TOGETHER. How can I deal with.my parents until we set a date? They think I'm already too old to get married. They thought no one would after I turned 25, true story |
Question: Is it wrong for a man to marry 2 women if both agree? Posted: 27 Jul 2015 01:23 PM PDT Ok so I am madly in love with a guy who is in love with me and another girl. Recently we all decided that we would all be together and have talked about getting married but at different times of course. I know its against the law to be legally married to multiple people but what if its not done legally. Like its just a wedding ceremony no legal document saying that we are married. They both have 3 kids together and I have 1 from a previous relationship. I know there will allot of judgment but we love each other |
Question: Wedding trouble with mother? Posted: 27 Jul 2015 01:02 PM PDT My fiance and I are both practicing Catholics, so of course we're having a Church wedding. Because most of my friends/family aren't Catholics, we decided to have just a Blessing instead of a Mass. My mother, however, being the devout Catholic she is, is not at all happy about us not having a Mass. I've tried explaining to her numerous times that I will have many non-catholics on my side, so it's more practical just to have a blessing. She just keeps responding "Just have the Mass, and tell every non-catholic guest just to not take Communion". However, I'd rather not have to make 30+ phone calls explaining to the Non-Catholic guests what to do during the Communion Rite. How do I get my mom to back off? I know several non-Catholic relatives will come up and take Communion anyways, which is not okay, and I don't want to make a seen tehabwa, my catholic relatives would make a scene. it is also considered horrible for a non-catholic to receive catholic communion sunshine mel it is still a catholic wedding i am paying for it. |
Posted: 27 Jul 2015 11:51 AM PDT I feel it is far too valuable and symbolic to be used in such a way and that doing this will make the ring lose its meaning. He feels that Im being too sentimental when we could be getting some spending cash until payday. Am i being too sentimental or should i go ahead and do it? |

Question: What time should I have my wedding? Posted: 27 Jul 2015 11:35 AM PDT It'll be in December in New Orleans and outside. I want the ceremony to be as the sun is setting so the reception(which is also outside) is at night. I don't have a set time for people to leave. It'll probably last till about midnight though. Just wondering what time I should start ceremony for good photos but still late enough for reception to be at dusk. I was thinking maybe 4? Or 4:30? |
Posted: 27 Jul 2015 11:16 AM PDT Is that acceptable ? |
Question: Cheap wedding favors? Posted: 27 Jul 2015 10:48 AM PDT I'll have about 150 people at my wedding and need cheaper wholesale ideas. Was going to do sparklers but it'd be weird without a send off and I'll be there all night. Just throw out ideas. |
Question: Dying Wedding Veils!? Posted: 27 Jul 2015 10:09 AM PDT I am getting married in about 9 months and I want to wear my mom's wedding veil. However, my parents got married 23 years ago and my mom's veil has changed colors. Does anyone know of a place where I can get the veil dyed and returned to an ivory color? It would really help! Thanks :) |

Question: Should I announce I'm engaged or wait until I'm married? Posted: 27 Jul 2015 08:26 AM PDT My boyfriend and I talked about getting married a year into our relationship but that was all. Two months before our two years we talked about it again, this time it was more serious and now a month before our anniversary we decided to get married the day of our anniversary by civil court, we're getting our rings two weeks before the day! There wasn't an actual proposal but thats okay, we are happy and beleive that we grow stronger day by day. My question is, would people find it weir/inappropriate if I post that Im engaged once I get my ring and then two weeks later I post I'm married? |

Question: My fiance' has been invited to his friends wedding and be talking about it for months.? Posted: 27 Jul 2015 06:53 AM PDT He been shopping for suits and shoes but not once asked me to go. So today he mentioned about the wedding and so I asked why hasn't he invited me to go with him and his response was because he thought I wouldn't want to go. I shared that it wasn't fair for him to make that decision for me verse letting me decide myself. Then he threw out that fact that I went to my home girls wedding two years ago with out him but the only differences is that I was in the damn wedding. I am kind of hurt especially when we are getting married next year and I know the same friend he going to his wedding he would invite him to his. |
Question: Getting married August 15, just found out I'm pregnant? Posted: 27 Jul 2015 06:43 AM PDT Not planned but not exactly unplanned either... I recently went off birth control and our plan was to try *after* we got marred, but I guess things happened a bit quicker. I got a positive from labs at the dr. Friday and I am only about 5 weeks. I am already feeling sick. Nausea and no appetite for the past few days from morning to about lunch. So my question is should we cancel our honeymoon? We live in the US and are supposed to honeymoon in the Bahamas. I just fear I'll feel sick the entire time which wouldn't be fun for him either right? |

Posted: 27 Jul 2015 01:38 AM PDT Me and my bestfriend are both girls and like we love each other and before we go off to college we want to get married just in case we go to seperate colleges. Like we want a wedding and reception and a priest and everything like a normal wedding except we are both straight and we want to get married but like friendship married,so like is there any such thing as getting married as friends or like a friendship ceremony. Posted: 27 Jul 2015 12:14 AM PDT This is a weird question to ask but Im not sure what I should do. So my friend is getting married next weekend. We've been friends since we were about 3 years old I remember when she was still wearing diapers so we go way back. We haven't been that close lately since I eventually moved to the city and she moved to the country. We would still hang out whenever we could but once I got into highschool we sort of did our own thing. I'm her bridesmaid and it's crZy to think that my first best friend.. Is getting married. I want to sing her a song with the guitar or maybe the piano because I personally think it would be special. I think her fiancé might sing her a song so I don't want to take anyone's Thunder away!(JOking) would it be weird if I ask my friend if I can sing her a song on her wedding? my friends said I should but for some reason idk why I feel like it can be rude to ask or embarassing if she ends up saying no. What are you thoughts? |
