Question: Is this a problem or is it in the best interest of all? Posted: 12 Jul 2015 02:27 PM PDT My fiancée has a 4 year old and his mother still wants to be with my fiancée. I am not invited to any events that she is invited to. I do not have a relationship with her son and I've only seen him about 5 times and we've been together almost 4 years. He says it's best that I don't come so that we won't get into it with each other, yet he attends all of these events without me. He also, talks with her on a regular basis via text. He makes me think that he is still fooling around with her.
Question: Should I be alarmed or glad I'm not around for the B.S.? Posted: 12 Jul 2015 02:17 PM PDT My fiancée attends events that his ex who he has a child with, without me. He says that i's to keep us from getting into it with each other. I think he's still sleeping with her because, I don't have a relationship with his son with her and he does not come to our house. All of his conversations with her are via text when I'm around and he comes up with things she has requested out of the blue. What is really going on?

Question: My husband doesn't cares about my parents? Posted: 12 Jul 2015 11:50 AM PDT My husband is very loving and caring on me and his family... but when it is my family he becomes very selfish and he doesn't let me visit my parents house often. He says after the marriage there should be a distance between me and my parents then only i will get respect from them. Also he doesn't respond to their phone calls too. He ignores them a lot. I have been talking to him about this very seriously from about 2 years since my marriage but nothing works out. And iam unable to explain my parents abt my situation on not visiting their house.
Posted: 12 Jul 2015 10:50 AM PDT So I have been in a relationship now for close to 10 months. Met online and hit it off instantaneously. Close to 6 months in, though he had called things off. Things in life overwhelmed him to make things short. Fast forward a month he got in touch with me and patched things up, and I agreed to get back together with him. Without getting cut off, he is becoming distant again. And I m at a loss, crying and not sure what to do. I tried to talk to him about it and I bombed and started to cry in front of him, looking like a crazy girlfriend. ( which I assure you, I am not at all) question for both men and women..Help! And for woman, I know it s happened to you, but if it has, has anyone had this happen, but were able to get to the root of the problem, and fix things? To stay together? I m at a loss and heartbroken. Any helpful advice is MUCH appreciated!
Question: I feel like my mom hates me compared to my siblings.? Posted: 12 Jul 2015 10:36 AM PDT I am a 20 year old college student living with my mom , my brother(16) and my sister (12). when I was younger my mom and I were closer, I have a different father than my other two siblings. when I was in highschool their dad was still living with us , basically my "step dad" , we never really got a long, I was always a little different then all of them and was constantly put down for it, my step dad would call me names..like *****, pussy, tell me how ill never amount to anything , that im lazy. and in those years they were always making me do chores and clean the house and it still remains the same, while my siblings do nothing here at home.I also used to get hit with belts, extension cords, my mom would hit me with her own hands, punch me at times and my siblings don't even get grounded... . he left my mom about 3 years ago . since then my relationship with my mom has spiraled downward... she spoils my sister way too much I think..anything she wants no matter the price, my mom buys it for her even while we are not in good financial standing right now. the rest is in my answer belowVV

Question: I don't know how to ask my mom? Posted: 12 Jul 2015 08:40 AM PDT I'm 17 and I want my mom to meet this guy I really like . When I was younger to lose her trust. But now I would like to be with him and for her to let me go on dates and just hang with him .
Question: Why is he keeping his mistress? Posted: 12 Jul 2015 08:29 AM PDT Why would a man that already got caught by the wife cheating with the mistress, keep the mistress and not leave the wife? Like he says he wants to make things work with the wife, yet won't let go of the mistress why? He says he doesn't feelloved at home. So why stay?
Question: Is it normal to feel this way? Posted: 12 Jul 2015 07:38 AM PDT Me and my long term boyfriend broke up two months due to his choice as he felt I deserved more and wanted to get help to sort himself out (counselling). He treated me very badly within the relationship and severly took me for granted through breaking up with me, cheating on me and lies which led to me being paranoid. I'm 21 and he was the only person I had slept with. I met someone else in the mean time that I really really like, we are exclusively dating. I slept with this person for the first time last night and feel so horrible since I did. I feel a lot of sadness as my ex is now not the only person I have slept with and I never wanted to be broke up because I loved him so much. It was extremely different with the person I am dating now (obviously) and has made me long for my ex back which I know can happen if I want as he has stressed he will do anything to get me back. Is it normal to feel this way after sleeping with someone new?

Posted: 12 Jul 2015 07:37 AM PDT when i was in first grade i asked my teacher to go to the nurse because my stomach hurt and i remember he turned me towards him, put one hand on my back and put his other hand on my stomach, he asked if it hurt there and i just looked at him confused and he kept going down asking if it hurt until his hand was in my undies and he just smiled at me and sent me back to my seat. I never told anyone but i always think of this and idk if i was molested or not |
Question: How do I deal with my separating? Posted: 12 Jul 2015 07:25 AM PDT It might be a little late to ask. Its been a year since we left our dad and Im not sure if it's because mom doesnt want us around him or if hes homeless but we never really see him and I miss him a lot Im still not ready to move on but mom definatly is since shes had 4 boyfriends in one year all of which Im not fond of the new one is okay I guess but he buys her all this stuff I feel like hes trying to buy our love (and hes a huge know it all!) shes always with him every chance she gets which makes it feel like shes home a lot less often then she already is Ive tried talking to her but she doesnt seem to consider my feelings. I feel like Im alone in this since I have no one to really talk to. Its kind of stupid, but I think I might be a little depressed. I talk with my friends and even a little with my counselor a few times but I feel like no one understands me.
Question: I'm nervous about going to a new gym and meeting my old coach again. What should I do? Posted: 12 Jul 2015 05:47 AM PDT I study a bit far away from home (a different city) and every summer, I go back to spend my time there and I usually go to the gym with my coach to guide me. Last summer break, I got in shape and I was able to lift the heavy weights and stuff, had fun and a lot of people were proud of me, especially my coach. Now that I am on a summer break again, I would like to hit the gym again, but the problem is I gained weight again and I hate myself for it. It was just such a hard semester. I couldn't find time to work out anymore because I always arrived home late. When I did arrive home, I had a lot of things to do. Not to mention the multitude of exams I had to study for. It was insane, but luckily I passed with very good grades. But as I said, the problem now is that I gained weight again and now I have to meet her again and I think she'll probably a bit disappointed at me. She changed gyms also, so I'm going to have to adapt to a new environment. Although the new gym isn't my main problem, it's meeting with my coach again. I'll be so embarrassed. I don't know what to do. Sorry if this isn't the right subreddit to ask this. Thanks for taking the time to read this. :)
Question: Did I make her feel better? Posted: 12 Jul 2015 05:13 AM PDT This woman who lives downstairs from me is married but I believe she is separate from her husband because he is never around her. I had a really big crush on her so I wrote a letter and told her I thought she was very beautiful and that I would like to talk to her. The woman is very shy and reserved she goes out long periods of time (I know it is to see her husband) but she seen like she was kind of hurt by him. I finally got a chance to talk to her about the letter and she told me she was married and that it was okay I felt kind of weird at first but it seems like I made her feel appreciated for some reason it seems like now she is going to see her husband more than she was before and she is starting to dress up more then she was before did I help the situation? Or harm it?
Question: My boyfriend wants to run away? Posted: 12 Jul 2015 03:57 AM PDT Okay, I'm seriously having a ******* panic attack and I have nobody to turn to so please hear me out. My boyfriend, let's call him "X" for privacy reasons, is a 14 year old boy who has a really shitty relationship with his emotionally and physically abusive mom. Recently she's found out X's social media passwords and is heavily monitoring his every move so he hasn't really been in touch with anybody lately. Last night though, he managed to tell me that he's gonna run away after the 20th [which is his next therapy appointment]. I have no way of contacting X [since his mother is monitoring him] and I'm freaking the **** out. He's said he's sliced open his wrists several times and he's extremely violent as well. I really care about him and I don't want him to end up getting hurt. Please tell me what I should do because I have no idea.

Posted: 12 Jul 2015 03:01 AM PDT Me and my fiancée have been together now for 4 months and we have been engaged a month now and she has recently gone into hospital (a mental hospital) and i have been texting her and yesterday i texted her and she texted me but she took 6 hours to reply. | Question: My dad wont let me make a wearable tail? Posted: 12 Jul 2015 02:29 AM PDT So I asked dad if he could take me to a fabrics store to look for 2 types of fur cloth to make a Chinese dragon tail. He said OK and asked what I was making, I told him a tail and he changed his mind and he pretty much said he wasn't going to support any of the weird furry crap. Which sucked because I got all excited because I was going to make the tail and horns, I made the designs and everything I just didn't know how to make it curl up a little. Anyway is there something I can do to convince him? If I could that'd be great. And if anyone feels like answering, do you know of any stores where I'd get short and long fur? Thanks ☺ |
Posted: 12 Jul 2015 01:46 AM PDT He didn't find out until the child was 3. He never took a DNA TEST, still hasn't. Now that we have a child together the child baby mother pops up on my social media commenting and claiming how my son looks like her daughter. Now my big concern is that if that's his child I don't know how to feel about it because I never wanted to have kids with a man that already had children because of all the drama it brings (heart ache, attention, financial, arguments etc.) and it just doesn't seem right. I'm not angry at him but I'm hurt because i can't do nothing about it and just have to accept it even though it's going to have a major impact on our life's. I really need someone to talk to I even considered therapy

Question: Having sex for the first time, 16 and scared.? Posted: 12 Jul 2015 12:37 AM PDT Okay I want to keep this simple and with a lot of detail of what is going on. I am ready to have sex I know I am. My boyfriend and I are deep into talking about this. Such as what condoms we should buy and to make sure we are both ready. We both said yes. We are trying to make sure nothing goes wrong for the both of us cause we are both virgins and we want to be mature and make sure we are communicating. We even ask what positions we would like to be in etc. We planned out a date and everything. We have done alternatives for while. Such as oral...... but Im scared because of all the negatives. Which I don't like because I really want us to have this moment because I really love this guy. Like a lot. And no he is not forcing me into this I want this for the both of us. My negative thoughts are always on the things that might happen. Like the condom breaking and me ending up pregnant. I just want to know if I should just tell him to wait or is this normal. I would really like to keep my virginity longer I just feel this guy is a good one and will be with me for a lot longer I just need advice. P.S. I have had other boyfriends and experience with boys who also liked me. To be honest I was a whore at a young age and I can tell this guy is different.

Question: Why is being so weird? Posted: 11 Jul 2015 07:14 PM PDT so there is this guy that I really like , last week he made all these promises. that he'd see me then his friend past away so he texted me apologizing for not being around. I texted him couple days later to see how he was the memorial was Sunday. he was being super weird but posted videos on facebook as if he was happy. I got annoyed cause he randomly disappeared , he is usually sweet and all. I don't know why he's being like that but things got awkward . I thought he might care at first but now i feel like he just doesn't care to talk to me. but he replies right away when he does talk to me. so I am just lost on what to do. it's been couple days since we last talked I feel like we do connect but I don't know anymore he seems to be to busy. should I just let him be?

Question: My mother in law loves my husband's mistress and not me? Posted: 11 Jul 2015 05:48 PM PDT The woman has never been a fan of mine, and I was okay with that but this is crossing the line. My husband and I have been married 15 years and in 2013 I found out he had been having a year long affair with a younger co-worker of ours. He confessed when she was 7 months pregnant. I have forgiven him and we have worked through the situation. Now my MIL adores her granddaughter of course, but I don't appreciate how friendly she is with the mistress. She buys this woman gifts, talks to the woman on the phone, even inviting her to family functions! I've been with her son for 18 years and she doesn't even invite me (ONLY my husband) over for their family Easter dinner. Thanks to FB, I found out that the w***** and her child were though. My husband refuses (and always has) to do anything about it. His excuse is "I can't make her like/love you" and "be the bigger woman," and I just can't do that anymore. It's bad enough that I have to be reminded of this situation daily, but to have his family actually prefer her to me?! I've confronted my MIL about this once. She said she has a "moral obligation" to be nice to the mother of her only grandchild since I could never "grasp that title myself." Throwing the fact that I can't have children (we tried for 9 years and I ended up having 6 miscarriages). Lovely, isn't she? Also, she instigates more problems between my husband and I. I don't allow much contact between my husband and this woman, but he's doing a lot to go against my wishes. He Feels as though he should be able to talk and text this woman whenever since they have a child, but she's a freaking homewrecker! She KNEW he was married and probably got pregnant in order to keep him and he's MY husband, bottom line. He runs to his mother with this and she basically tells him to put the w***** before me because she's always be his daughter's mother and it's not right, nor is it fair. It's bad enough that I have to deal with this situation at work, as we all still work together, and at home, but to have basically zero support from the family as well does not make this any easier. I know some of you will just say divorce, but leaving is not an option. I've invested too much into this to walk away.
Question: People hate me without knowing me? Posted: 11 Jul 2015 05:41 PM PDT Wherever I go, whether is be at school or outside of school people treat me like a loser. I'm a South Asian girl (I'm not Indian but I look like I am). I'm not attractive in the slightest. I'm skinny, but I'm really out of shape. That's three strikes, and I can totally understand why people who kind of know me don't like me at school. I mean, if I was one of them, I wouldn't like me either. I just don't get it when people judge me right off the bat. One girl I'd never talked to called me "creepy" and even adults act really snappy towards me and treat me like some sort of obstacle. I feel like I'm always in the way of something they're doing because how they talk to me. Not everyone treats me like this, I have friends and all. But an abnormally large amount of people do. I try to smile a lot, I constantly say sorry and thank you. I try to be as inviting as possible but people just don't like me because of how I look (I'm assuming). It sucks. I like hanging out with little kids sometimes. They rarely judge, and they're always smiling...unfortunately, that age doesn't last forever. They grow up and they treat me like everyone else treats me. These people aren't all *******. Some of them are really nice to everyone else. Why not me? Trust me, I'm not beautiful in the slightest. I would have realized that by now if I was. I think maybe people might be disgusted by how I look...I don't know. I didn't think I was that bad looking but maybe I am. READ THIS: These people are not rude people in general. They are nice to everyone else and mean to me. Please stop saying that they are just rude people...they aren't. Ez, I appreciate your advice but I'm not trying to hit on people. I'm still in high school. I give less than two sh*ts about romance. I've already given up on that concept. Unless I radically change my views and decide to get plastic surgery (never going to happen), then there's no way I'm going to make it. These aren't people I've talked with or even had time to talk with. These are people that literally saw me for two seconds and decided that I wasn't worth their respect. When I talk to people, they usually warm up to me. I have friends, and people who have talked to me generally like me. I'm talking about people who literally just met me. Also, Ez, I've found that 99.9% of people who call themselves ugly online are wayyyyyy better looking than me. Also, from your profile picture, it appears that you have lighter skin. I have darker skin and I live in a white majority neighborhood. Lighter skin is universally considered the more attractive skin color. It's true. I get why some people don't like me, we all have subconscious prejudices about certain races, but other people's hostility is something I can't understand.

Posted: 11 Jul 2015 05:34 PM PDT so there is this guy that I really like , last week he made all these promises. that he'd see me then his friend past away so he texted me apologizing for not being around. I texted him couple days later to see how he was the memorial was Sunday. he was being super weird but posted videos on facebook as if he was happy. I got annoyed cause he randomly disappeared , he is usually sweet and all. I don't know why he's being like that but things got awkward . I thought he might care at first but now i feel like he just doesn't care to talk to me. but he replies right away when he does talk to me. so I am just lost on what to do. it's been couple days since we last talked I feel like we do connect but I don't know anymore he seems to be to busy . should I just let him be |

Question: Advice on anticipating a proposal/engagement? Posted: 11 Jul 2015 04:18 PM PDT No rude comments please. Hoping for advice from someone in or previously in my situation. I've been in a relationship for three years now, living together for 2.5, and now we have a 9 month old son. We talk about the future, have a pretty solid relationship... But why hasn't he proposed? We've talked about our wedding in comparison to others we've gone to. His family says I'm already family. We have a ton of love and trust for one another... What's he waiting for?? Or what are some signs?? Even better, how can I just not think about it?
Posted: 11 Jul 2015 04:11 PM PDT I'm a Caregiver who works with an agency, for the past 2 weeks I have been working with a lady(client) who needs help with chores and shopping...etc...In the beginning her husband was very nice to me..Now he just ignores me. The other day he pulled me outside to tell me my car was parked to close to his and 5 sec later told me I was ok...He had more then enough room to move and besides he told me I could park there. The other day I was walking his wife's dog and we were almost to the house. The dog and I stopped by the curb so she could sniff the grass. I saw her husband pull out of the driveway with his car, he slowly approached me (on the opposite side of the street) stopped his car directly infront of me and just starred at me for 2 minutes-no facial expression-just a blank stare. I just stood there and smiled for a minute and walked away. Eventually he slowly pulled away. I was like WTF!! I was starring a t him the other day-hes attractive-when I realized what I was doing and he noticed, I stopped.

Question: Why is it so bad that I think she's a scumbag and I'm not sorry? Posted: 11 Jul 2015 03:35 PM PDT My cousin is a former drug addict. She dropped out of highschool at the age of 15 when she fell pregnant for the first time. She is now a mother of three. We're the same age; 21. She lived off my aunt and uncle and refused to get a job. She has caused our family so much of pain. She showed up drunk to her brothers wedding and called the bride a wh*re. That bride happens to be my best friend. On my prom night she cut holes in my dress, because I refused to take her advice and buy a different dress. We used to be really close as children, and I've tried so hard to help her and be supportive but after having so many years ruined by her, i just dont want to anymore. We had a family gathering to celebrate that she went to rehab and that she has now been clean for three monthes. My aunt begged me to go. Im not happy for her though. She hasn't achieved anything. Her kids still live with various family members. Being tossed around like crap because their mother wont get a job. Last year my other cousin, her younger sister, made medical school. That's something to celebrate. Did anybody bother? Nope. Today my mom told me that im rude. That i was cold towards my cousin even though shes trying really hard. She should have been trying a long time ago in my opinion. This was because I didn't write her a stupid note of encouragement. Why should I? Why am I the bad person. I'm just showing her the truth behind what she made everyone go through.

Question: Why keep a mistress and still not leave the wife? Posted: 11 Jul 2015 03:25 PM PDT Why would a man that already got caught by the wife cheating with the mistress, keep the mistress and not leave the wife? Like he says he wants to make things work with the wife, yet won't let go of the mistress why? He says he doesn't feelloved at home. So why stay?
Question: Should I confront my fwb? Posted: 11 Jul 2015 02:29 PM PDT She was borrowing my laptop then gave it back to me when she went home. I saw she left her Facebook on. Took me a while to log off because I never bother with the site. I saw her relationship status says that she's married. Like wtf? She told me she doesn't have a husband. If she is married then surely I would have met him or something. Should I just tell her what I saw or how could I bring this up? She is the one who left her account on. Friends with benefits. It's like a relationship but no strings attached. I find it stupid when someone who is in a relationship or married do it. I could be wrong and maybe she just doesn't mess with her settings at all. I just want to get clear but not sure what would be a good way to bring it up. Btw, I don't have a Facebook, She's a good friend of mine. I've been in her house. I got to know her at least for a good year.
