My disability is Cerebral Palsy-Spastic Diplegia. Sometimes I have feelings of emptiness inside my heart. I feel sad, and left out as well as feeling suffocated because I see friends post their adventures on Instagram and Facebook of where they went or what they did. I feel jealous and left out and feel something's missing inside my heart but I wish I knew what that was. I also stopped going to church because it felt uncomfortable and I feel I still haven't found my "home church" I feel angry every time my parents drag me to their church. I also believe my disability doesn't have any limits as well because I can drive a car and get my license. I do want to enjoy life as a normal person but I don't have the confidence to get my license. I want to have a fun life with friends but my parents are very overprotective of me and I cannot hang out with friends outside of school because they don't trust who I hang out with. I want to be free and fly like a bird! How can can I have confidence to get my driver's license and have freedom to be friends? I apologize for writing so long. |

Posted: 19 Jul 2015 04:37 PM PDT I was out with my friends last night and I left my phone on the table while I went to the bathroom ( I know it was a stupid mistake, so this IS partly my fault) and when I got back, I got a text from my best friend, who I d fallen out with at the time. The text said excuse me? I didn t know what she was talking about so I looked at the texts and one of my friends texted her f**k off you ugly a** b****h . I didn t know what to do, I apologised to her and said it wasn t me, and assured her I would never say anything like that. But when I told my friends that even though I left my phone on the table, they shouldn t have invaded my privacy. Then all 3 of them ambushed her with hate and threats. I didn t know what to do. Then my dad calls to pick me up. I got in the car and got a shouting at, my phone took away for a bit, and sent to my room the past week. She told her mum and her mum phoned my family which was right. I deeply apologised to all her family, especially when she s going through a rough time ( her father has terminal cancer) and I never thought my friends would write such horrible messages. I told them I would never speak to them again, and they should apologise to my best friend and her family. They refused. My parents still don t believe me. They think I wrote the texts.What should I do? |

I'm back home now and it's like I have zero motivation and I have no friends I have one friend but she's too involved with boys right now and every time she gets a boyfriend she forgets about her friends and I just don't even have the patience to put up with her bs anymore. I'm in the house all day everyday except for when I have to go to work, I go to work then come home everyday and it sucks. All of these things I've done alone. I try to text my friends and see what they're up to and usually they're doing something mega exciting like "Oh I'm about to go hiking ttyl!!" then they never text me afterwards. I have depression but I don't take any medication for it because I can handle it pretty well myself. This summer has been awful for my mental state. I feel worthless and alone. I've tried to reach out to friends as I've said and they won't really talk to me. One of my friends who lives far away was supposed to come visit but she had summer school and can't come see me anymore. Every time I go on snapchat I see my friends doing exciting things with their other friends and it makes me feel like I'm alone and a loser. I'm an introvert but i consider myself a pretty good friend, I've never done anything to hurt these people and I just want them to maybe text me once in awhile and maybe invite me to go watch a movie because it's always me making the first step. It just always feels like I'm second best to someone :/ |

We graduated together, we've gone to special places and theme parks together, sleep overs, events, fun hang outs, parties, all the like. The same thing sort of happened briefly after graduation, when I would not text/talk to her for a long time, but that's because I'm an introvert, and I was having a weird introvert phase for about several months. It probably made her wonder if we were truly friends at all. But after that, we made up again and started going to all sorts of places together, and communicated with each other every single day, etc. etc. That "introvert" moment was a year ago. We've been "besties" ever since. But lately, I feel like the same thing is happening, but in reverse. She's at home all day, but she never calls me. I text her, she seldom responds. Nothing really happened between us. And yet, she spends time with other friends, so I'm certain she's not busy with anything. Sometimes she invites me to hang with her buddies (like, the other day she invited me over to the movies) but I couldn't go. She also plans to move to Tennessee to start out her college, which is waaaay far from home. She's totally excited about it and it doesn't even seem like she'd miss me?? This was some weeks ago when she mentioned that, and a couple months back she mentioned that when her parents joked about moving to another country, she completely forgot about the rest of the world (includes me) and was so disappointed when they said it was a joke. It doesn't seem like she cares much about whether we'll even be seeing each other again. But until this month, she and I were so close that I absolutely did not expect myself to ever doubt anything about her. |

I can t really keep a conversation going on and I m really self-conscious of everything. I try to put myself into a social setting but I just feel strange like everyone is paying attention to me. When I talk to my friends in school I always talk quietly so the "popular kids" can t hear because I feel like they ll make fun of me even though I try to tell myself I don t care what people think. I need some sort of reassurance or ANYTHING from people who have this same thing as me and will it eventually resolve itself over time? Nowadays I feel incredibly stressed, worried and nervous but I don't really understand why. 2 things in my head keep bugging me every day, even now when I'm on holiday, but I don't completely know which one of them... One thing I think about is a friend, who has helped me a lot this 1st year in high school. I usually have a hard time to trust a person but in just one single year we have grown close to each other so much that I today trust her a lot. On some assignments we helped each other, and we talked to each other every day, and every day I smiled. A couple of days ago I got to know that she is going to change school and I was just devastated. I have not yet told her, though, because I don't want to give her too much air. Now I'm worried how 2nd year is going to go, she helped me here and there but most importantly, I was happy whenever we talked. Also, I think we might even lose contact when we go to different schools. My second problem is that I tried so hard and worked so hard on all subjects but still I was very unhappy with my results in one of the subjects... I was thankful that I got the chance to re-do some tests to get a higher grade but I'm still finding it hard to accept that I didn't accomplish my goal to get a satisfying grade in all of the subjects. I don't know whether I should study already now. I don't know why or even if I am overthinking but it is annoying me... What should I do? |

And my friends used to support me for months and they allowed me to cry on their shoulder when I needed to. But my lately they have been making it worse for me. In the moment I can realize that what they did is rude but I don't ever hold a grudge. It always disapaites throughout the day and I end up having to deal with it again later. For example, my guy friend is always late to everything all the time. I usually arrive to stuff 10-15 minutes early. (Say it starts at 7pm I get there about 6:45pm and he'll get there between 7-7:10pm average). It's really annoying. I put up with it a lot. The other day him, his friend, me and my sister were hanging out. My sister and I got there about 20 minutes early (went to a movie) and him and his friend showed up maybe 5 minutes early. We've been friends for 11 years, so I would say we're pretty close and everything. Saying that, I'd never really call her out any bad habits she has because I guess I'm very fond of her and our friendship and don't want to ruin it. But as of late, every time I'm with her, whenever I'm talking or really at any point her phone rings with a text, she'll whip out her phone and respond. This isn't a one time thing either. As long as the other person (her other best friends) keep texting her, she'll keep responding. Yesterday, it got especially bad, because she was having an argument with another friend and literally just kept texting (not listening or responding to me) her nonstop, with me just trailing after her silently. She responds to snapchats as well, taking pictures of herself in response to the person who snap chatted her. It seems like she can never just disconnect herself from the world of texting. I'm starting to think she either finds my company uniteresting enough to text while she's with me or she doesn't notice the extent to which she is doing it. Advice please? Thanks! |

Trying to be a good friend, I have told all of them that whenever they are struggling, I will be there for them to try to help give them support. Well, my friends all took this to heart, and have been contacting me on a nearly daily basis with their struggles (which is fine, since I offered). The issue is that when they call, they will either call very late at night (2 or 3 am) or they will call and keep me until that late. I would be perfectly fine with this if it only happened on occasion, but it is happening on a nightly basis. I would love to be able to continue to help, but as a student, I have to be awake at 6 every morning to get to school. Because of being kept up so late I have overslept and almost been late to class many times. I love my riends, and I would feel terrible not being there for them, but at this point it is causeing harm to myself. How do I set boundries with my friends where they know I still care for them, I just can't allow my life to suffer trying to help them. |

I make an effort, and whilst they don't deliberately leave me out, I can't ignore their lack of excitement around me compared to around each-other. We usually discuss these cute couple anniversary ideas what we will do one day. But like there is no flirting in our messages it's really just like we talk and we enjoy it. He will sometimes say what he thinks i would like in a guy and then everything he say is true? He said that I should get a guy who will treat me and everything do. He lives a 140km from where i live. I don't really care if she does it but I don't want to be involved with it. She already smoked it when I was in the car with her and her cousin. She's my best friend so it's not like I can just stop talking to her. But I don't want to be in that situation again and I don't want to stop being her friend just because she smokes weed. My dad's a cop though and I don't ever want him to know I was around people who do that. I don't know what to do and I really need some advice on what to say. Please dont be rude. So he'll wake up every morning (this is during the summer) and nag the crap out of me to go on Xbox with him and play. He'll BEG me to get stay on for like 4-7 hours straight and he also BEGS me to play whatever the frick he wants. I'll say no but he nags me over texting. He has been an asshole recently and is getting an Xbox one soon. I don't know what I'm going to get yet, but if I do decide on the Xbox one should I not play with him? It was at a festival so he worked at a place and i walked by everyday. Me and my friends walked by and he would come and talk to me. We would talk for an half hour and then my friends would come and get me to watch a show. My friends said that they saw there's chemistry and i felt it too. Every night that week we chatted on the phone and then when the week was over he didn't replied on my messages. While we were there his phone fell and the screen broke. Last night i saw his status update that his phone is going in for a service but before that two weeks passed and he didn't reply. He's going to Norway in a week and i post a goodbye friendly letter for the plane. Do you think the letter was a mistake? And that i was wrong about what i felt between us? And why do you think didn't he replied? On two messages? |
| Question: Friends hate me now. Please help!? Posted: 19 Jul 2015 01:14 PM PDT Recently I had a quarrel with one of my friends on group chat about money. It started out when I was asking them what their plans are after their get together and if they re going to hang out in one of their house. I wanted to catch up and didn t want to spend money, I just wanted to chill. He said "nah, it s alright, you don t have any money so just stay home". By the way, I often tell the group that I don t have extra money for their plans most of the time since I m trying to budget my money. I got mad instantly because he really touch a nerve by saying I didn t have money. It hurts because it was true. He told the truth slowly and spoke for everyone else that it was about me telling them that I didn t have money very often, and it was irritating and innappropriate because no one wants to know about it. I was mad but at the same time i feel very hurt; I cried a little bit behind my computer. I just said I was sorry if they ever felt that I was obnoxious and inappropriate or even irritating. After that the group chat was slowly dying and I feel that they have made another group chat without me. I feel bad because I cherish them as my life long friends. I should ve known better, my anger got the best of me. I should ve just responded with "haha" and walked away from that provocation. Do I just move on now? |

I ve developed feelings for my best friend, she is 2 years younger than me and we ve known each other for about 6 years. I know her so well and I love everything about her, her looks, her personality (good or bad), and whenever she s hurt or sad I will always try to comfort her and hold her when she s crying. Does she just see me as a friend? It doesn t make sense because friends never truly last that long because at some point in time the friendship will fade away ( she will be friends but you never really talk much or hangout at all) I can t imagine my life without her and I want to tell her that our friendship will ALWAYS be there no matter what, even if it doesn t work out. Should I tell her how I feel in person? |

I'm a girl and when I was in 6th grade which was in 2005-2006 I asked my teacher if I could go to the bathroom and she told me I could but she said before you go to the bathroom come here and so I went to her and she was sitting down and she wanted me to sit in her lap and I was like no at first but then she still wanted me to so I did and she just talked to me but I really don't remember what she said but do y'all think that's weird she did that? |

I said something about how I didn't think they had talent (other than vine, they should stick to that) and we were on the phone. She hung up on me and insulted my favorite band (the Beatles). They aren't even remotely the same thing. She screamed at me through texts and I was thinking about the situation. She said if I can't accept the fact that "loves" them, we can't be friends anymore. I realized that she's shallow. She's definitely a fangirl and these guys (she's met some of them once at a meet and greet, where they're literally forced to be nice to people) and defended them over me. Should I be mad or am I being unreasonable? Any advice? Thanks |

No one is similar to me or thinks like me or shares my interests. Like I love classical music but no teenagers go to those concerts; I love to read but no teens go to bookstores or libraries or book clubs; I take flying lessons, but no other teenager does. I really want a girlfriend, but the girls at school and the mall suck butt. They all look like the east end of a donkey headed west, and their personalities are even worse. No girl that I've ever met is cool. What can I do? Hanging out with my friends blows, they're so stupid and I don't like the stuff they like to do. The problem is I don't want to and sent in a form saying I want to switch rooms. My friend gets stressed, depressed, anxious and most of all mad. She was dreading college until we got an email saying we were going to be roommates. She's so excited now but how should I tell her that I cancelled the request and asked for a room swap? I didn't want to be roommates because I want to be able to branch out and I told her but she said "you still can while we're roommates" Facts You Need To Know: 1. We were friends for 10 years 2. She gets anxious, stressed, and depressed easily 3. Gets livid faster than a blink of an eye and I don't want to face her wrath and fury 4. I don't want our friendship to be ruined 5. We already started discussing the layout of the room and she already bought things needed for our dorm 6. I've dealt with her emotional instability and OCD for a long time and call me a bad friend and execute me but it's hard dealing with her OCD and having to do EVERYTHING for her. 7. Just telling her "I don't want to be mates and I requested a swap" would be too straightforward and she won't handle it well. She'll break from depression if the angst doesn't get to her first. 8. She's smart and logical and would try to find an explanation or somehow find a solution to everything I'm saying 9. We're opposites and I know my guitar playing and just me being me would irritate her. |
| Question: How does this girl feel about me? Posted: 19 Jul 2015 12:34 PM PDT I met this girl where I work. Whenever she passes me going the other way she waves, usually she sees me first. Few weeks ago she was parked at a bus stop and I was coming towards her and as I checked my right mirror I noticed her waving at me, but in a slow, meaningful wave with a caring look. A couple of weeks ago we bumped into each other at our buses destination and she said "hi how are you" and asked me how my disciplinary meeting went and when would I be getting transferred to her depot. When talking to me she would make eye contact without being distracted. She would then talk about her getting into trouble for speeding by management. She said she was running and late and needed to use the toilet and had better go. We were talking for about 5 mins. I left to go outside and she then came out after using the toilet and on passing me to get into her bus said she had bad hay fever, again starting the conversation. So few days ago she was coming towards me on her bus and she puffed her hair up but acted like she didn't see me and ignored me, so I thought id do the same when I sae her again. So yesterday we both pulled up at bus stops on other side of road from each other and she looked to see who was driving my bus and saw it was me and waved. I looked at her but ignored her. So she waved again and again I kept looking but ignored her. She then looked puzzled and waved again and I smile laughed because she kept trying and she then had a happy face and drove off. |

I see my friends post pictures of them going to concerts, hanging out with friends, shopping, going to the beach, basically having the time of their life. My ******* parents have not let me go ANYWHERE this entire summer. Not to the movies, park, volunteering, beach, I haven't even seen a single god damn friend this entire summer. I can't even go outside. They just tell me to study and yell at me. I cry in my room and feel depressed all the time because I can't go anywhere. I have a best friend in Mexico whom I love dearly, even though I rarely see him. He's so special to me. I'm a girl btw, and he's only a friend, he feels the same about me. I'm not sure if or when I'll go back to Mexico, while he'll always be my best friend, I feel lonely because I don't have a circle of people. | Question: Should I consider changing schools? Posted: 19 Jul 2015 11:41 AM PDT I have no friends in school everyone makes fun of me because I'm from another country. I'm not outgoing and I'm not easy going either. I believe everything must be achieved with hard work and determination. Ever since we moved to a higher school all the people who knew me spread rumors about me I did have one friend but that one friend betrayed me and did not let me have any other friends. In the school I can't even visit the toilet without people laughing at me for no reason. When ever I try to talk to someone they just run away from me. Teachers tell I'm a good student but with all the bullying my grades have suffered and I'm suffering from depression. School hasn't started yet I know there will be new people coming into the my current school but I don't want to take the risk because if those people that hated me managed to turn the entire school against me then they will turn me against those new people too. My class mates don't even respect me and worst the worst of all, all of the girls hate me I'm a girl myself but I don't know why they hate me. It's true I get on good terms with boys but I'm not interested in them because I have my own boyfriend in my own country. I get threats once in a while from my haters who are in my class. Worst of all because I did really bad in my last test despite being a really good student all year with best grades I will be put into really bad classes with my haters and I don't know what to do ): Forgot to mention that the only reason I got bad grades was because of my depression and bad thoughts which those haters led me too.. :/ |
