He works nearly every day and I only get to spend time together MAYBE 2 days a week and its very frustrating for me because sometimes he chooses his friends over me on those two days, but before you take that wrong his friends literally live down the road and can spend the night with him and everything. I understand guy time but I want to spend those two days off with him and I. When he is with his friends he ignores me mostly until I tell him something and he apologizes for ignoring me but he doesn t want to be rude to his friends but his friends have done it to him when they are in relationships.. Recently, he s been coming over to my house and I ve been introducing him to my parents as a new friend I made at the college I will be attending. However, I do not want to continue dating behind their backs and would like to tell them about our relationship and get their consent. Sadly, my parents are strict and traditional and believe that if I start dating, I will get distracted from school and that everything will go down the drain. However, school has always been my first priority and I have always worked hard, taken many AP courses, and gotten good grades. Also, they do not let me go out often, rarely even at all (I am going to be living with them because they want to "watch me") and this has been hard for me and my bf especially since we really want to see each other. I can understand their point of view and see that they re definitely being good parents and making sure that I m staying out of trouble, but I think there s a fine line between caring and being overprotective. How can I persuade them to let me date and let me go out to spend some time with my BF? We really just want to hang out at the mall, go to the movies, etc, little dates. I am also the eldest child if that may make a difference. |

He's been super over protective of his phone like I check it anyways?! I know there are things I don't want to see. One time he was sitting next to me with his phone out and the text his friend sent him said "that ***** needs to take a chill pill" and then snatched the phone up.. Everytime Zack texts him he covers it up. So he knows it's wrong and hurts me but does it anyways. I know he is saying hurtful things And not wanting me to see them. My ex (of two years) is still contacting me after we broke up almost two years ago (long time right?) she ll text me randomly every couple of months or weeks for just random conversation, mostly asking about how I m doing and telling me the stuff she s heard about me from people she knows that know me (which kinda make me think she s keeping tabs on me) and every time without fail the conversation always ends up that she still loves me and thinks about me all the time and much to my own disappointment when she Asks if I feel the same way I always say yes. But what corrupts this story even more is that for the two years that we ve been broken up she has had a boyfriend who treats her like **** but still will not leave anyway. What confuses me the most is after she s done complaining about him, telling me she loves me and all that jazz she then always says that "we gotta meet up sometime" and as always the sucker I always say yes but as soon as we talk about meeting up she ll stop texting for weeks to maybe a couple months then restarts the random conversations all over again saying that she got too nervous to meet up in case "old feelings" stir up again, Can someone please help me and tell me what s going on? | Question: My boyfriend still loves his children's mother. How should I handle the situation? Posted: 23 Jul 2015 07:28 PM PDT I'm in an interracial relationship I'm Jamaican and he is Mexican. Though this has nothing to do with the current situation it's my first time dating outside my race, religion and my first time dating a man with children. When we met he was a sweetheart and he was over the mother of his kids. She left him for another man that she is currently engaged to and he claimed to be over her. I saw her when he made a drop off for the kids. I kept quiet it felt awkward but after that he told me she has been calling him more often now that she knows he's in a relationship, with a Jamaican woman at that. He swore his feelings for her were gone until the other day I went through his phone. Their texts were in Spanish but we been together long enough and I am familiar with the language. He told her that he loved her or whatever. I busted him he was shocked so he brushed it off like that's what we Mexicans do. He also said if I didn't like it I could hit the door which I was about to do and he blocked the door begging me not to go. I love him but he is not understanding how disrespectful that was to me. I have never been through this and I just want to be smart that's all. We all make mistakes I'm not making excuses for him but I'm not just gonna lie down and take it. BTW she barely responded to him and I'm not sure if that makes a difference or not but help me out here. |

But the other day, my boyfriends brother asked us if we wanted to go see a movie, but my boyfriend didnt feel like going he just wanted to sleep so his brother said he could just take me. | Posted: 23 Jul 2015 07:22 PM PDT My boyfriend is 17 years old (I'm 16 years old) and earlier this year he put a mixtape out and people were liking it, i mean it wasn't like going huge all over the country but it was going pretty big where we are from. Like people were playing it at parties and telling him to make more music, etc. But basically he just dropped out of high school to pursue music full time and I'm kind of worried, I love him I want him to be happy but I want him to be successful and not a loser... I think he's good but I'm not sure if he's good enough to completely make it and make millions because thats kind of a long shot... Posted: 23 Jul 2015 07:21 PM PDT My ex broke up with me several months ago because we're going to different colleges and he was certain I was going to break his heart. He broke up with me, despite still really liking me. He told me to reach out to him once I was ready to be friends. Recently I asked him to get lunch with me and said I really wanted to be friends if he was ready. He said that would be nice. Today at lunch, things didn't go as I expected. At first it was awkward small talk. Then I noticed he seemed to be nervous. He kept scratching his arms and legs and touching his neck. I also noticed him playing with his hair. He kept excellent eye contact with me as well, breaking it only for a second and then immediately looking back. Thoughout the lunch, he would lightly tease me and would often bring up old memories of us (ex: friends of his i met and Greek Week). I noticed he would sometimes lean in while I was talking or while he was talking and that he never took out his phone until I took out mine.He also laughed and smiled at everything I said. At the end of lunch, we walked out the long way and he said we should hang out again soon. Does he still have feelings for me or am I overthinking it? I flirtatiously told him I'd vote for his senior superlative to be "Most irresistible" and he in turn, smiled and said he'd vote that for me as well. |
