I was spending the night over my best friend's house last night. After going to a movie we stopped back at my house to pick up my Xbox One system to take over to his place. It was late and I thought for sure that my parents would be asleep. I went to open the bathroom door on the first floor, and found my dad standing in front of the sink totally naked. So I don't have many friends, my parents say that I don't have friends and that what I call "friends" are just acquaintances. Which I guess is true but there kinda the best thing I've got. I'm a 16 year old boy. I've never had friends before but I stopped caring when I was younger because I became used to being isolated. My friend is an immigrant from Mexico. She's always talking about how the people here are fake, and how the food tastes disgusting. She'd tell me how upsetting that it was for me to be born and raised here, and I have none of my African culture. About two weeks ago, I started my freshman year at a division one school on a full scholarship. There's a long story on how my social anxiety started, long story short, during 6th grade a boy embarrassed me about 3 times infront of 3 different classes. I had tons of friends (new ones) in the begging of 6th grade then the thing happened I annoyed all my new friends away from me with me being so self conscience. So now I have my core group of friends which consisted of 7 friends now (in 7th) it's 3 (I guess I have a few more considering my non-best friends. So this weekend were going to this park thing (with people my grade going to be there whoop) so I asked my friend she made up a bullshit excuse, I known other friend won't go with me and my other friend is probably on vacation. So I don't want to go alone like I did to this fair that was last week end. I had no one to go with and I cried and went home. I don't know what I'm going to do any more. My brother and sister constantly go places with their friends . I want to get therapy but I'm to scared to ask, how embarrassing that will be! Ok, so I am going into the 8th grade this year and I also go to a very small private school, which explains why my best friend is 2 years older than me. We have always gotten along great. I am an 18 year old girl who lost her friends due to extreme mood swings, I suffer from BPD and am easily offended and react violently when insulted, I don t hit people I just threaten and yell at them. My BPD got out of control in January when my ex boyfriend had stopped giving me the attention that I needed, he started being distant and talking to other girls so I broke up with him. I spent most of my senior year alone because I had lost many friends before that, those friends were the people I would go to parties with and get drunk or high, but after acting sl*tty at parties, they began talking sh*t about me so I cut ties with them. I have an issue and I need some advice. I recently moved to a new town and I'm taking Summer Enrichment classes at my new school where I met a few kids. My best friend has been smoking weed on an almost daily basis for a little over a year now. She started at the end of eighth grade when she made friends with some pretty bad older kids, and now she smokes every day. I'm pretty close with her parents and they've asked me before to tell them if anything is up, because some other things have happened with her in the past. She has denied she has a problem as it's gotten worse and worse. Her grades are slipping, she's been taking pills, and I know some of her friends have been taking cocaine, some other pills, and driving under the influence. She has also been hooking up with random older guys in the school bathrooms and having sex with them while she should be in class. I had another friend with a similar problem but with ecstasy and other pills so I told her parents something was happening a few years ago with their daughter in a different situation but it just turned me into a snitch and we haven't been friends ever since, even though I practically saved her life. My best friend that has been having problems has told me everything in confidence, but I'm truly worried about her yet I want to respect her trust. I don't know what to do. when i was in 8th and 9th grade, i was severely depressed. i missed a lot of school because i was hospitalized twice and ended up getting homebound towards the end of the year because i wanted to work on my issues without the social anxiety from school taking me a step back. when i was in 9th grade, people rarely approached me because i was always alone with my head down or hiding between rows of lockers. there were some classes that i was able to open up in, but i was usually high or mildly tripping during the school day so i can't imagine that anyone believed i was stable. 10th grade i took the whole year off in favor of online school. now i'm going back for my junior year in a month. i haven't interacted with my peers in ages, but i'm confident i'll get along fine with them once i go back, because i have worked so hard to improve myself and my thinking. i know now that i can handle anything— i'm almost off all my medications and i've been substance-free since november — but naturally i'm still worried about what others think of me (i'm a teenager, duh) the major worry i have is that people won't be able to get the ideas they have about who i was in the past out of the way. i am not crazy, and i never was, but me purposefully taking hallucinogens before school probably made a decent amount of people believe otherwise. if i just be myself and let things come naturally, will that be enough for people to believe that i've changed?

So there's this girl that I knew for 5 years that's my neighbor to this day. I would always be the first person she comes to when she needed help, advice, or just talk about her feelings. We've actually had good times getting each other wet, name calling (only joking), pranks, whatever. I got myself into a huge problem. My good friend Brianna is from a different city and she was planning to come tonight to enjoy a festival (the festival is free) in our town. I met Brianna at uni, while she was staying at a dorm. I live with my parents and I made the silly error of assuming that she could sleep over at my place without consulting my parents. I told my parents the night before that she was coming, and they were very angry. My parents are a bit neurotic and I have fights often with them. They don't like company and they don't have many adult friends. We fought the whole night until 5 am, and then I fell asleep. The next day I slept until 12:30 and then it dawned on me that I hadn't told my friend anything. I sent here a text message that I had family problems and that I wasn't going to the festival and that she couldn't sleep over. She had already gotten into the train to come and she had to go right away back to her city immediately. She sent me a message that she didn't want to be friends with me anymore, and that I had treated here like **** and let her down at the last minute. What can I tell her in this situation? How can I regain her friendship? I'm sure she'll tell other people what I did and I'll lose a lot of friends.

I met my friend over a year ago while doing voulenteer work. We really hit it off. I live in a different town, so we kept in touch. We would email, text, and call each other every day several times a day. We helped each other through depressing times and told each other our secrets. I felt like I had known her my entire life. We got really close. After about 6 months, we started to contact each other less and less. I would only get an email from her once a week. She started to get new friends. I knew some of them, but not all of them, and the ones I did know I know are really cool and fun. When I came to town to visit, she had already had set plans with her other friends. I had no problem with that. It s just bad timing on my part. We would only hang out during our voulenteer work and meetings, and it was awkward. We had nothing to talk about. After a meeting, I was at a restaurant with my family, and I saw a group of people from the meeting and my friend was with them. When I saw her, she was laughing and having a great time. I began to feel like she didn t need me anymore. She has all new friends and they re fun and interesting, and I m not. She still responds to my pointless email, but I feel like it s out of pity. I feel like I d be doing her a favor by just stop talking to her. She wouldn t have to worry about making plans with me or replying to my messages. I think she d be better off without me.

My Friend Will Not Stop Lying. BACKGROUND: I was best friends with this girl (we'll call her 'S') for many years. We hung out together 24/7 throughout all of middle school and high school, until I told her I couldn't be her friend any longer. I told her it was due to her extensive lying. She didn't understand, went into denial pretty much, and we hadn't talked much in the past 3 years or so. We recently got together, talked for a few hours and hung out over lunch. I figured now that we're 22, she'd maybe done some growing up, gone back to her counselor and worked on herself.. Well everything was seemingly going fine, until she started lying again. I can tell from knowing her for years when she is doing it. She makes up things so trivial, that they don't even matter. When we were friends previously, she would lie and say her mom hit her and that she was gushing blood everywhere and the ambulance was coming to pick her up. The next day at school she wouldn't have a scratch on her. (I'm not very confrontational until it comes to a point, so I never really asked about it). She told me my boyfriend at the time was trying to hook up with her (was completely untrue). She made up little things too, that didn't make a difference to me. Now, she is making up lies about how her and her boyfriend became pregnant, but she had to abort the baby. She says she is still suffering from the abortion, that particles of the baby couldn't be removed, so they'll always be attached to her and make her sick and bleed. I knew this was a lie because I caught her in it.. She had mentioned an hour or so before saying all this, that she had never been to the gyno, but yet she had sonograms and tests done..? The biggest lie yet was 2 days ago. I received a text from her number claiming it was her mom texting for her as she was being rushed to the emergency room. She was losing blood from god only knows what. She would be in the hospital for a few hours and then would be discharged. Of course, all of this took place between the hours of 11-5, so if anybody had wanted to visit her in the hospital they couldn't because they were either sleeping or guest hours wouldn't apply. She texted me an hour ago saying she got into a car crash, that the car is fine, she's all shaken up. I think it's because I haven't been texting her back. I don't know what to do. I got myself into a mess becoming her friend again. I know she needs help, but I'm not in a position to assist with any of that. I'm in a rough place in my life too and I'm trying to get back on my own feet... She seems really unstable. Boyfriend just left her. Her roommates ignore her quite a bit (from what she tells me). The downside about me is that I smoke pot Why is it that a teen pregnancy, and a failed marriage in the making is more acceptable than someone who is making something of herself even though she smokes pot? I was invited to a b-day party and to put it short i dont want to go, because the person inviting me often looks down on me and is kinda controlling of me. We are going to college together and play video-games together. Whenever I go online he insta invites me, when I end a game, he invites me in a sec. He is just there w8 for me, and it is hell of weird and he does this to other "friend" of his. And i cant say i have other things to do because he will just change the date of his birthday party. That is easy for him since he invited only 3 of us. I also hate the fact that I will have to go on 2 buses to get to him eat at around 11:00 and then come home around 20:00 and only have a slice of cake in-between. And its not like their family lacks money to buy stuff they are like rly well-off. I know its rude not to go but i dont like him as a person and if someone else invited me i could just say I had other things planned. Thank you for reading and advices ! :D

I'm in love with my best friend who is also my neighbor which is married. Really hurts me to the point that it I cry.

I'm 16 and I have no friends or a life. I just sit at home all day and do nothing. Nobody bothers to contact me, or just check up on me. I live with my mom and she stresses me out to the max. I've always been been depressed, mainly because ive constantly been cyberbullied and teased throughout middle school. Nothing changed when I went to high school. All the friends I meet only have the intentions of using me and having me as their "backup" friend. I feel angry and sad about that. I'm more than just a backup friend, or a second choice. My family doesn't care enough about me to listen to what I want to do in life, my goals, or anything. Nothing EVER works out and I feel like giving up. I've never been this unhappy till I moved across state with my mom.

I have a friend, of whom I ve always thought of as a best friend. We were getting along so great, and now all she is telling me is that she is busy. It s been like a month like that. I don t know what to do, I deleted the app on which we were talking, because all the time I couldn t resist the temptation to write to her. Everybody, since we started hanging out, told me that she is poisonous, that she is using me and I should cease talking to her, but I was so happy that I finally got a friend (I don t have any). I don t know what to do, should I stop talking to her? And if so, how to get over her? please help
