Posted: 10 Jul 2015 09:49 PM PDT My fiance and I aren't rich, and we aren't famous. We're a couple of hardworking, retired/disabled vets with professional positions in the medical field. We've been through the big wedding experience with our first (deceased) spouses. Neither of us wants to go through that headache again. We want a very simple, laid back, and casual wedding. Would you be offended if someone invited you to this type of wedding?

Posted: 10 Jul 2015 05:09 PM PDT A brunch after the ceremony do I need to have a cake for a early brunch or just save it for dinner? And I was going to invite distant friends & family and those those invited to the Wedding to the brunch and for dinner only close family & friends.
Question: Is this a good maid of honor speech? Any suggestions? Posted: 10 Jul 2015 04:08 PM PDT Hi everyone! For those of you who don't know, I am the matron of honor and sister of the bride. I just want to start off by saying Marissa you look absolutely gorgeous. And Kevin, you look very handsome. For the past 17 years, my big sister has been my coach, confidant, shoulder to cry on, and my best friend. From the scary stories at 3 AM to making and wearing a fan shirt for my soccer games, Marissa has shown me nothing but love and support-which is how I know she will be an amazing wife. It was obvious to me from the very beginning that Marissa really cared about Kevin-she knew better than to bring him home to the family too soon. Over the past few years, I've come to know and love Kevin like my own brother. Marissa, Kevin, I want to wish you a happy anniversary and wish you luck as you embark on this new chapter of your lives. I love you guys. Now if everyone would please raise their glass and join me in a toast to the newlyweds. Also, everyone is saying how Marissa isn't marrying me... obviously I know that...but I do know you are supposed to tell personal stories about you and the bride. so how could i do that without making it seem like its too much about us? i read on a website to start with the bride as you know her and end with the groom.
Question: Maid of honor not allowed a plus one? Posted: 10 Jul 2015 01:53 PM PDT I'm the maid of honor for my best friend's wedding. she has lived in a different state than me for several years now and I have never been there and never met her new friends. Even though I have been dating a guy for a year and a half she told me that I am NOT allowed a plus one to her wedding. I will literally only know her at this wedding. Is this proper wedding etiquette or is she being extremely unsympathetic and rude?
Question: I don't want a big wedding, but my fiance does? Posted: 10 Jul 2015 12:29 PM PDT I would be happy with just going to the courthouse and getting it done and over with. He insisted on a ceremony and I said to plan for a small one, like ten people would be great- just have our most intimate friends and family. But he wants to invite some people he hasn't even talked to in years and wants us to hire a wedding planner and I'm being asked all of these questions and I was never a girl who dreamed of being married let alone a big wedding. It's just one day and I want it to be special for him but I think I might faint at the altar I have such severe anxiety.
| Question: Has anyone had a wedding at the Biltmore estate in north Carolina? Posted: 10 Jul 2015 08:45 AM PDT Just wanting to know ya'lls opinions, experience there, and prices. I am looking at less the 100 people, black tie, military wedding. we will be in nc, and the Biltmore seems perfect based on looks but I haven't been able to find much on weddings just a bunch of pretty pictures. | Posted: 10 Jul 2015 06:39 AM PDT A man who marries for the first time in his late 40's is kind of making a wrong choice, but what all are the downfalls? |

Question: Is Sissi a good name for a formal wear store? Posted: 10 Jul 2015 02:12 AM PDT Hello, I want to name my new Bridal store meaning or relate to Princess. I like a real princess her name is Sissi, but some people said the name looks like "sissy". Do you guys have a great name about Princess or Castle or any good name looks pretty?
Question: Is marriage a necessity in a man's life? Posted: 09 Jul 2015 11:21 PM PDT If being indoctrinated by our deeply sexist society about how only "married men" become happy and have a meaningful life etc.wasn't enough; Even the media has started brainwashing with these false pretentious lies on the benefits of being married for a man. I just don't understand how low can our gynocentric society get? Spreading such false rumors on married men being more wealthy, happy, satisfied [blah..blah..blah]. than their single counterparts is nothing short of a blatant lie. Period False. False. False. Most single men are way richer, happier and healthier than married men. Don't make up false stories to suit your dirty, misandric mind.
