I wanted to see if anyone knew a site where I could meet older couples around 50s who are looking to sort of "adopt" a young adult. not actually adopt of course and I dont want money from them or anything. I just need an older couple with life experiences to talk to. I was adopted when I was ten but the couple ended up being really mean and sent me away to boarding schools then when I graduated they basically told me to get lost. its been really rough. im almost 23 now and am married with a 3 year old. but im very lonely. I just wanted to see if I could find a couple who either couldnt have kids and has a gap in their life or a couple with kids who have started their own life and dont seem to need them as much. I have a huge gap in my life and it hasnt really affected me until recently when I see shows with parents hugging their kids and i start crying. please dont think im a weirdo im not im just missing something in my life. the couple doesnt even have to be local. if anyone knows where I could find some make,shift parents please let me know thanks!! |

He wasn't much of a looker, but he was funny and stuff, and he invited me and my sister over for drinks one night after a really busy shift, so we went. While we were there he was being SO funny and clever, and really comfortable. He kept staring at me and while my sister was in the bathroom he said I should sleep over. Well, one thing led to another, we ended up sleeping together.. but before we did, I TOLD HIM flat out that I wasn't looking for any kind of relationship and I was not going to change my mind. I told him that even though we're sleeping together it's only temporary, and I reserve my right to call it off at any time lol. He said that was fine. Now because he had been so confident in the first place, I really thought he understood and could handle this situation, but guess what. I was wrong. We were hooking up for about two weeks and he basically became obsessed with me to the point where I had to break it off. So whatever we're not sleeping together anymore but then he starts constantly sending me these sad sappy texts and giving me gifts and posting really shitty poetry about me on facebook (it's definitely about me- he quotes me and describes me and stuff) AND being a total asshole at work. So at work he treats me like some ditsy idiot and then he pines over me literally every other hour of the day. It pisses me off. My question here, is, am I wrong? Did I do something wrong my hooking up with this guy? He is clearly playing victim, but I really was clear about my intentions in the first place and I was really nice about breaking it off until he started harassing me about it! These past 2 years I went through a severe injury leaving me blind & needing multiple surgeries. We were extremely busy with doctor visits, eye surgeries & lots of medical expenses. It was all so horrible & scary, I got some of my vision back last May. Dad yells at me saying "why didn't we get things all situated for her these last 2 years?!" So I said "We were busy these past 2 years with my 3 eye surgeries & my severe injury of going blind. We didn't have time to get all that stuff fixed because we were busy with surgeries & going to my doctor visits." he laughed at me & said "excuses excuses you will always have an excuse" I tried to stick up for myself because I felt it was my fault those things happened. I said "dad, things will happen in life. We have had problems and it has been difficult at times raising a child together. I knew that we were having problems, I just didn't think she would leave before we tried to work things out. Last month my sister was diagnosed with leukemia and it is very aggressive. She is my only sibling and the first round of chemo didn't work. She had the difficult choice to try a stronger, longer second round which she ultimately decided to do. The doctors gave her slim chances of even completing the chemo due to her already weakened body and immune system. A few days ago the doctors had to stop the chemo as it was wreaking havoc on her body. This was hard news to take, as it basically meant that she would ultimately die from the cancer. During this time my girlfriend and mother of my child told me that she was no longer in love with me and would be leaving me. I am having trouble coping with my pain and emotions. Am I wrong for being angry at her for leaving me at this time? Even if she was unhappy? |

I told him the truth, I was talking to my friend during that time. Then he calmly said he's been feeling uneasy and he feels something is wrong and if I could answer his questions. I didn't want to lie so I told him almsot every time I said I would be busy or when I went to bed, I still talked to my friend for hours. My boyfriend asked me why did I lie to him about being busy and sleepy and why was I only available to my friend during that time. Then he said he hates the fact I still text my friend even when we are spending time together, how I only give him my full attention when my friend in unavailable and how he feels like an option to me. My boyfriend has always given me a lot of attention, of his free time, been really caring and understanding until now. Since our argument, he has been cold, busy and distant. I don't know what to do. I opened it and found a single Vicodin. He told me he's had it for over a year from when he got very sick before he took a trip. He took all the pills but one and just held on to it incase he "really needed it." He even went to the extent of going to the urgent care to print out the paper work to prove that's what it was from, nearly a year and a half ago. My only concern is why he would hold on to it knowing the struggles he's gone through.. Do I have a reason to worry he's not being honest ? |

I have anxiety and depression which I suppose takes over my rational thinking, but I'm really bugged lately. I've just been through a really traumatising relationship situation which sounds stupid because I'm 16 and young but because of my issues anyway the events seem to have affected me a lot more than they would to a healthy person. I just feel like I've missed out on so much already and I barely have any teen years left.
