Question: Why would my father s girlfriend where a fancy white long dress to my wedding? Posted: 08 Feb 2019 07:03 PM PST This is what she bought online. https://www.promgirl.com/shop/dresses/viewitem-PD2281701 And I wore a simple dress. https://www.promgirl.com/shop/dresses/viewitem-PD2280169 People that didn t make it to the ceremony thought she was the bride. My father didn t say a thing, but my mother was furious. My father s girlfriend was a guest, she has been married twice before and should know the etiquette at such an event. I guess she felt the need to upstage me at my own wedding.... BUT WHAT RIGHT DOES SHE HAVE TO DO SO? @Anonymous, We are planning a honeymoon party at the place where we will be on our honeymoon to make up for what she did.... She won't be invited to that, or any future weddings in our family. If she exercised some wedding etiquette and didn't upstage me, she would have been invited to more events, like baby showers... etc @Foofa, there's only 5 years age difference between us. I guess for her it was all about putting me in my place at my wedding, I refuse to be put in my place at my wedding. Thank you Foofa, Slowly everyone at my wedding now knows what kind of woman she is, even my grandmother on my father's side detests her now. I guess I'm Okay. @p , My mother and grandmother pulled her aside and had a few words with her, from what I know she's not allowed to show up at my grandmother's house in the future with my father... Her loss The wedding pictures looked horrible, I didn't look like the bride, so the company that did the pictures altered the colour of her dress to dark brown matte. We made sure she and my father got some of the photographs. If they don't like our changes, that's too bad. @clayton, I'm not, My mother, my grandmother (father's mother) and myself are taking control back. The company that did the wedding photos made her dress a horrible shade of brown. I'm sure my father will be happy.... NOT |
Question: Would you be offended if a girl wanted the same engagement ring she picked with an ex? Posted: 08 Feb 2019 07:01 PM PST I was engaged before and found my dream ring. The guy ended up cheating on me and we called things off. (Obviously I gave him the ring back) Now 5 years later, my boyfriend and I are planing on getting married. We have been looking seriously at rings for 6+ months (I ve tried on HUNDREDS now) and nothing has made me light up like the ring I chose from my first engagement. My boyfriend is kind of sad because he wants something that represents "us", and he says that the first ring is a slap in the face. I tell him it has absolutely nothing to do with how I feel about my ex (I can t stand him!) and solely about the look of the ring. What would you do in this situation? Am I wrong to ask him for the same ring my ex bought me? |
Question: How do Indian Weddings work? Posted: 08 Feb 2019 02:17 PM PST I mean like...does the bride in question walks down the aisle like a regular bride? |
Question: Why is such a big deal about women and men HAVING to wear their engagement rings? Posted: 07 Feb 2019 09:55 PM PST Seriously why is it a big deal? My fiance & I have been together 6 yrs (engaged for 4) and although we're engaged we both mutually agreed that we didn't have to wear our rings since neither of us are jewelry wearing types (the rings were only like $20 each so it's not like their expensive) Why do people make such a fuss about it? It's not like your no longer engaged if ya don't wear a ring 🙄 |
