Question: How do I stop a girl living in my apartment to stop stalking/harassing me? Posted: 08 Feb 2019 01:33 PM PST Hi, I am Ryan and my dad is an accountant. This girl believes that I know a multimillionaire and keeps trying to have something to do with my family. Today, she waited for me and my dad to come home from lunch and said hi to my dad when we got to lobby and got in the elevator with us. I already to her I am uncomfortable with her actions and she won't stop. Please, help. This is not cool and she is not hot, either. |
Posted: 08 Feb 2019 12:40 PM PST Is there any point in me living when I have such an ugly face? Even my family never say I'm pretty, unlike my cousin and auntie who everyone compliments because they're conventional beauties with symmetrical features and get atttactive guys. |
Posted: 08 Feb 2019 11:08 AM PST I'm jealous of my cousin, she is so close to her brother, sister, mum and dad. Mine slag me off constantly, she gets told she's precious to the family, they compliment her all the time, she is beautiful, I'm not as attractive but I'm not ugly, yet I get abuse from my siblings on the way I look. What's worse is my siblings only share the same mum, we have different dads and I think it has a massive impact, I've always wanted a full sibling, or a sister on my dads side which I have but we have never met due to family issues before I was even born. I feel left out most of the time, I've had times where I thought I was adopted and my mum wasn't my real mum and same with siblings, I've mostly felt part of my dads family, occasionally I questioned wether I was, I mean my family are very cold towards me. My mum, brother and sister gang up on me a lot too. What do I do? I'm so sick of it. It's bad enough I'm 19, I can't even afford to move out, no one will give me job interviews, my attendance is low at college and I might be getting kicked out, I don't have any qualifications, I'm pretty fked. I'm in England, I have no GCSEs |
Question: Should my mom have told me this? Posted: 08 Feb 2019 10:58 AM PST The power was going to be out at my mom's condo for 2 days due to major construction. Mom lives in the same town as my ex husband Bob. Mom really liked Bob when we were married and thought of his as the son she never had. Bob really liked mom. Mom ask Bob if she could spend 2 nights at his house as it would be very hard to live in her condo with no power. He instantly agreed. I told mom that I was uncomfortable with here spending 2 nights with an unmarried man. She told me "If something big comes up she knew how to handle it". Going along with her joke, I told her if something came up it would not be big. We both had a huge laugh. My friends that I told about this said it was TERRIBLE what mom said to me. I told them that one of the things I really like about my mom is her sense of humor. Do you think what my mom told me was terrible? |
Question: Should I tell my mom about this? Posted: 08 Feb 2019 10:29 AM PST I am a high school girl. My school is a short distance from where my mom works. Sometimes after school I go to mom's work place and wait for her to get off work in the company cafeteria. Mom is the only woman employee at this location. While I was waiting for her, I met and became friends with a lot of her co workers. They are some really great looking guys. Several of them told me "I see where you get your beauty from. Your mom is gorgeous." Some of the guys there told me "Your mom would make a trophy wife". Anyone know what that means? Is it a compliment I should tell her about? Would my mom want to hear what her fellow employees are saying about her? |
Question: Should I believe him? Posted: 08 Feb 2019 10:27 AM PST My father says my mother used to beat him. I remember a lot of fighting and screaming but never saw her beat him. My father also wasn't the best father or husband but I love them both. I don't know who to believe. |

Posted: 08 Feb 2019 08:39 AM PST We are living with my grandparents in their home because my parents aren't looking for anywhere else to live. My dad is ex military and very strict. If something isn't done (cleaning, folding clothes, etc..) to his specifications there is hell to pay...even though it isn't his house. I am threatened daily with being kick of the house (which isn't his, and I'v been told by my grandparents that is anyone's getting kicked out its him) and everything that he has bought will be taken away (which is nothing I have replaced everything with items I bought myself). |
Question: Overreaction or not? I went off on my parents for the situation below.? Posted: 08 Feb 2019 08:24 AM PST My family is not well off at all. I work to pay my bills and help the best that I can yet we still barely make it from week to week. This past week my parents had no money at all (which was strange because they just got paid) so I had to give them quite a bit to make sure that everything that need to get paid got paid. Yesterday I found a receipt for a adult website for over $300 that had been bought last week. I showed them receipt so that they could not deny and lie to me about. |
Question: Why do people change when they have kids? Posted: 08 Feb 2019 07:51 AM PST It's like everything revolves around their kids, but before that they didn't care for their own destructive ways. |
Question: How do I get my parents to stop judging me for having anxiety and depression? Posted: 08 Feb 2019 04:44 AM PST I'm an adult so it is not a parent-child situation. I live out on my own. |
Posted: 08 Feb 2019 04:18 AM PST I'm so upset I am in tears I just can't win. I was due to complete my masters degree next month however decided to mitigate my exams until August as I got a good job offer considering I don't have much experience and good salary . This masters is for people that want to become lawyers however I don't want to become a lawyer maybe in the future. I told my mum and she got upset with me as she thinks I should finish my education now she doesn't understand how hard it is to get a job and instead of congratulationing me she started comparing me to others that have masters degrees and has been in a mood with me . I am an adult don't need permission but this still upsets me MY PARENTS HAVE NO EDUCATION and in the UK especially experience is now preferred over education but I will still complete my masters but in August |
Question: RANT: My Grandma doesn’t want me having a locked door. I am 22 years old.? Posted: 07 Feb 2019 11:20 PM PST I been living with my Grandma for about 4 months now while our family looks for a new rental/buys a new home. I bought a new door knob with a lock for privacy reasons. She said she need to talk and it was about me changing the door knob. She told me she doesn't want me having a lock on my door, that I need to change it back to the original knob and she doesn't feel comfortable with me having a locked door and that " its her house and her rules " bullshit. She never said why she didn't feel comfortable. But, I know why... it's because I have a boyfriend. She assumes I'm going to "sneak" him in during the night, she can't be nosey when I am gone, and she just wants to come in whenever she feels like it. I am not 16 and would ever feel the need to sneak my boyfriend in my room. He has his own place I can just go over there whenever I want to see him. She has a weird way of thinking and she is extremly manipulative and controlling. I pay her rent on top of my mom already paying her rent. As a tentant ( family or not ) don't I have the right to be able to lock my room door? I have all the peices to the old door knob so it's not like it can't just be put back. Before you say " Why don't you just go live with your boyfriend? " We aren't at that level just yet... or " Why don't you just move out? " It's too expensive to live alone and no one excepts Pitbulls and I love my furbabies too much. They are my children. Not just a dog. What's your advice? |
Posted: 07 Feb 2019 09:10 PM PST Ive seen alot of people, but mostly fathers, who migrate to developed countries with their children, or have children once they get there, and raise them, but when their kids are grown up they feel they have done their job and want to go back to their country of origin because i guess they miss it or they feel at home there. they expect their family to follow him back to his country, do u think thats selfish? Ive seen alot of people do this and i find it strange that they love their home country so much, yet expect their children to leave the country they call home. If they want to live in their home country then they shouldnt have children in countries they dont like, otherwise theyll cause the family to break up in the future |
Question: I'm bored what should I do? Posted: 07 Feb 2019 07:40 PM PST I'm like really bored. I keep getting new jobs because they keep boring me. It's driving me insane. Please help. I'm thinking of changing jobs again to become a bartender because drinking on the job when I get bored sounds entertaining. I don't need money I just need jobs to entertain me. What should I do? |
Question: How do I handle living with my abusive father? Posted: 07 Feb 2019 06:42 PM PST He is not physically abusive, but mentally abusive to me and my brother.. my father sets up my brother to do something wrong on purpose then calls him an idiot, a loser, retarded.. he has tried to go to school full time but my dad keeps telling him he has bills to pay.. he needs to work.. I have been crying thinking about how awful watching this is.. he has called me a cow, I really don't think he thinks well of me.. he doesn't say it to me as much.. I usually stay in my room.. and my mom doesn't ever pick up her phone or talk to me.. she tells other people how mean I am to her.. all I do is study in my room all day.. how do I handle living in a abusive enviroment?? |
