Question: I had a huge crush on a guy who turns out to be married? Posted: 26 Feb 2019 03:25 PM PST I had been dreaming about him all the time, I had fantasies about him and blushed when he looked into my eyes. I had no idea he was married (and to a girl who works with us). I'm heartbroken and I feel stupid and wrong, I hate myself for this. I hate also that when I had the hardest times at school being bullied and all the worst things he lifted her in his arms in the fields, they went on holiday, had fun, got married... I feel so stupid and I am so disappointed with myself and my life. |
Question: Would anybody else find this rude? Posted: 26 Feb 2019 01:56 PM PST I'm getting married in a year and a half, but I'm planning my wedding somewhat early because I don't want to be one of those last minute people who has to stress out and run around trying to get everything done. I posted about the fact that I was booking a chapel and I get a message from a friend. The message read "I can be your maid of honor if you'd like." This girl literally never speaks to me anymore and only messages me to either complain about somebody we both know or to ask for money. She moved out of state 10 years ago and hasn't been back to visit since and if she's always so low on cash that she can't even pay for gas, how is she supposed to be in my wedding? Also, I have a best friend who has been my best friend for 6 years, who I see all the time, who I talk to all the time and whose child I've somewhat helped raise the past 4 years and I've asked HER to be my maid of honor already. I never hesitated because that's the only person I see being my maid of honor. How do I tell my friend thank you, but the position has been filled, without sounding rude? And is it rude of her to randomly message me and offer to be my maid of honor? Funny thing: I told her thanks, but I already have one and I said I'd love for her to come if she can. She said "I'll try" and she mentioned how she's not sure she'll be able to get the time off to go, so why even bother offering to be maid of honor? I need somebody reliable lol! |
Question: Which of these 2 proposals is better? Posted: 26 Feb 2019 01:12 PM PST I have been dating this woman for 3 years, I am planning on proposing. Which of these 2 ideas would be best? Idea 1: We live in Florida, I could take her scuba diving in Rainbow River [a place we like] and propose underwater, get the instructor to maybe take some pictures. Idea 2: October we will be vacationing in India and Nepal [2 weeks total, our first time out the country]. In India we will do the ''golden triangle'' 3 city tour, it will be a fast pace vacation. In Jaipur I hope to rent an elephant ride in Amber Palace and propose on top of the elephant. Sounds awesome but this would be early in the trip and I am a little nervous of us having an expensive wedding ring in these countries. Thoughts? |
Posted: 26 Feb 2019 07:44 AM PST if his friends are invited then i will have to invite mine and our parents will invite theirs. He said his parents are fine with us just inviting friends. but thats not ok with my mom and she is paying for it. she will want to invite her friends and that is making our wedding of like 60 people (only family) way more. he thinks i should stand up to my mom and say we are only inviting friends and she cant. i think thats wrong. help! this is definitely a larger issue. he has told me he will stick to family only, like we planned, but feels i do not respect his opinion. he has said he is: -scared to be controlled -he is a man and will stand up for himself -he is scared of me because i make all the decisions i do not think this is true. how can i show him? sorry guys i did not specify my question. -do you think it is fair for him to invite friends and no one else invite them? -how to i handle the conflict with my mom? i told her what he said and she said the answer is no and we decided no friends. she has friends she would like to have invited but didnt. -how do i handle the larger issue? he feels disrespected. |
Question: I recently found out that my fiance was abusive to the family pet, how do I confront her? Posted: 26 Feb 2019 07:18 AM PST Edit Edit So I have had my fiancé for a year, and we are set to be married in September… She had just moved in with me a little over a week ago… Now, I have a dog, which I spoil rotten… He basically runs the house… Now, she knows this, and thinks it's cute that I spoil him and give him people food as treats, and let him watch animal planet all day… Well, the other day, he was a good boy, so I asked my fiancé to fix him his favorite treat… Peanut Butter and Jelly… And I also explained that he would only eat it if it is on white bread, cut in fours with the crust removed… Well, I get a call from her frantic that the dog bit her and has been growling at her… So I rush home from work, and when I get there, I see the PB&J in the bowl WITH CRUST on WHEAT bread… And to top it off, she had the news on instead of Animal Planet… So I was like, no wonder why he bit you… You brought it upon yourself… Well, she got mad… How can I explain that this is HER FAULT because if she prepared the food the way I instructed this never would have happened? Why doesn't she get it? |
