Posted: 09 Feb 2019 04:38 PM PST Why don't women ever approach me first? Shall I smile and make eye contact and just talk Are men the hunters |
Question: Why can’t I connect with people? Posted: 09 Feb 2019 04:03 PM PST I have NO friends and my problem is that I am really picky when it comes who I choose to talk to. Like, I am genuinely unable have just casual friends or acquaintances because my train of thought is always "ok but if we don't have a real connection then what's the point in even talking" because I hate shallow conversations and small talk. But that's pretty much how you get to know people so I'm rly conflicted? Why can't we as a people just skip the "hi how are you, nice weather today huh"-stage and just jump straight into "are you afraid of dying"-stage? I don't understand these boring social norms. |
Question: I had a fight with my neighour, how do I avoid her? Posted: 09 Feb 2019 03:54 PM PST How do I avoid my neighbour who I had a fight with? So I just ignore if I see her? |

Question: Jealous of my friends? Posted: 09 Feb 2019 03:13 PM PST I use to be super close with this guy, but he went away for a summer and we stopped talking. It was one of those things where if I didn t message him first we wouldn t talk. Now he talks to my two closest friends all the time and I can feel myself getting jealous. I wish he just put the same amount of effort into me when we talked. Should I cut him out of my life or should I try and become friends again? |
Question: My friend hates me because my disabilities aren’t severe enough.? Posted: 09 Feb 2019 02:14 PM PST My "friend" keeps going on about how my hemiplegia and dislocated hip and chronic pain conditions aren't bad. I know, I understand. I understand my life is lucky and I understand people have it worse and I'm greatful for what I have. But she keeps telling me how I should go out and socialise more and stuff when I know I physically can't, as I've tried, even though her friend "more severe" can. I understand this, but my life is hard to and I too have limitations. Anyway, it's upset me and I don't know what to do. I hope you understand what I mean, so please don't judge. It's just hard. |
Question: What do I do? getting treated cold at work? Posted: 09 Feb 2019 12:50 PM PST I recently got a new job in Pennsylvania as an accounting intern, I was really excited as it was a big move for me and was excited to meet new people. I was in for a surprise as everyone at my job hates me. I tried to make friends but no one talks to me or includes me. I said good morning and good night to people I work around, but they never said it to me. Eventually I stopped to see if they would and they didnt. When I asked this girl if she dropped something that was by her desk, she gave me a very cold and rude response saying no. I tried asking people about their lives and what they do, just to make converastion and get to know them. One situation two interns saw me and they just kept walking up the stairs and talked to each other, but didnt say a word to me,. The supervisors there avoid me as much as they can. Only one is nice to me and takes an interest. The other supervisors treat me different than they do the others. It makes me feel like something is wrong with me. I am doing very well at the job and have been told so, I ve made a lot less mistakes than others. Even being an introvert, I desire friendships, and I try my best to start conversations and ask people questions about themselves, but it does no good. What do I do? Am I just at a bad job? |
Question: I just recently lost my best friend? Posted: 09 Feb 2019 12:42 PM PST It's actually been a couple months since we had our last argument. Long story short, we treated eachother like **** and it was a competition of getting back at eachother for the hurtful things in the past. I love her to death. Weve been friends since middle school (we are now college students) Our friendship has been off and on this past year and we finally just dropped eachother mutually. I messaged her last week saying I missed her and it hurts me a lot that we've parted and she responded that she also missed me, but if our relationship is to rekindle we need to work on ourselves. How do I go about that? How do I show I've worked on myself and I'm ready for our friendship to rekindle? |

Posted: 09 Feb 2019 10:23 AM PST my new neighbors are in their mid-late 50s. They moved to my neighborhood last week and are still bringing stuff which is fine. Couple of days ago I saw they put in their window a gold star flag. My wife and I have been invited to their place tomorrow evening. Should I say I noticed the flag? My wife suggested me not to. What do you think? It's a very delicate matter. |
Question: Why do people think I have to do this with my boss to keep my job? Posted: 09 Feb 2019 08:20 AM PST I am a high school girl that got a job as a intern at a computer software company where I am learning to program computers. It is a great job and I am learning a lot. My boss is a 27 year old single guy that is the best boss ever. He always has time to answer my questions and help me when I need help. He is also the hottest and sexiest guy I have ever seen. All of the other interns are jealous to the max. One of them ask me how many times I had to screw him to get the job. Why is it so hard for them to believe that I got the job because of my qualifications? Another intern told me the only qualifications I had was 34G boobs. Since when does having 34G boobs mean you can not do a good job? Another intern told me men prefer to hire girls with big boobs so they can hit on them. Guys, is that true? I dress modestly and don't show off my boobs. I am not fat. I weigh 136 pounds. They are there and I can not do anything about it. Should they disqualify me from getting a good job. My boss has NEVER hit on me or flirted with me. It might be kind of nice to have a guy that good looking flirt but he doesn't. I think he thinks of himself as a father figure to me rather than being interested in my body. Why do the other interns think you have to have sex with a guy to get a job? |
Question: Why are women so jealous when their friends spend time with other women? Posted: 09 Feb 2019 07:15 AM PST There is something of a dynamic power struggle in the society of women. In the house of my friend, Veronica, she takes the time to entertain all her friends and their friends. But she requires that her closest of these friends chose an evening at her house rather than that of another one. So when she discovered that Samantha, a young socialite who works for the theatre, would throw little social gatherings with her husband at their apartment, when Veronica discovered this, she began insulting Samantha. And yet it was thanks to Veronica that Samantha met many of her friends, for the ladies who spent time in Veronica's were getting bored and wanted to see Sam's apartment. Veronica complained about this to me and I found it so off-putting. Why are so many like this? So jealous when their friends gove another woman attention? |
Question: How do you get your friends to leave you alone? Posted: 09 Feb 2019 06:52 AM PST They keep teasing us about me and another friend of mine's relationship. I'm just going to use random names but let's say this friend their teasing me about is Tara. So Tara and I used to date. Back then, they would tease us about it a lot and even went as far as to make a ship name. Then we broke up and I didn't talk to Tara for like 3 months, and then I forgave her and we started becoming really good friends again. Now, our friends keep teasing us and telling us to stop flirting when we're not. We hug and stuff, but we're both girls so it's really nothing weird. It's just how our friendship is and shouldn't be taken as a romantic action. Or sometimes she'll playfully punch my shoulder or something and they'll call it flirting. Or she'll even just compliment me and say I look nice or something and they'll be like "awwwww". And they'll bring up the ship name they made for us. It makes me feel really uncomfortable. I don't know how Tara feels about it because she never really shows any reaction. She usually just ignores them. |
Question: Does my friend like me? Posted: 09 Feb 2019 06:10 AM PST So, I noticed during one of our meetings he kept moving until finally we were diagonally across from each other. One of my friends called me, I turned around and caught him staring at me, he quickly looked at his feet. We do talk a lot since we see each other daily(He's a senior, I'm a Junior.. we're both 23). When he does hug me, I notice his hands get sweaty and clammy and he pulls me in and sometimes holds me in longer. But, if I ask him a question he sometimes looks nervous or cut off guard. Does he like me? |
Posted: 09 Feb 2019 03:41 AM PST I DON'T KNOW WHETHER OR NOT I HAVE FRIENDS! I don't know who counts as a friend! |
Question: How to text a friend I haven't talked with in 5 years? Posted: 09 Feb 2019 02:12 AM PST We were best friends at 13, then had a huge fight and haven't talked at all ever since, I'm 18 now. I've been getting on with my life, yet though these years I occasionally have dreams about getting in touch with her again and I wake up crying. I feel like we have unfinished business and the years haven't seemed to let me go of that. First of all I'm not sure if I should text her, but if I were to do so what can I say? Any advice? |
Question: How do I stop thinking about an ex-friend? Posted: 09 Feb 2019 01:45 AM PST I had an ex-friend that I completely cut off about two-three years ago and although my life has definitely been better without him, I still can't help but think about him at times. The only thing I miss from him was his good side, his caring personality that would always make me laugh and smile but I definitely don't miss his rude side (which is why I blocked him on any sites he's on). I have screenshots about our old conversations where we'd talk about video games and drawing ideas and it just makes me sad that he had to be so rude to me. I tell myself I should forget him but I still can't help it. Is there anything I can do to stop? |
Question: He knows I like him now? Posted: 09 Feb 2019 01:17 AM PST I couldn't move my eyes from him I froze, he laughed and looked down....he never asked me out ? |
Question: Why my brother does not want me to go with him and his friends outside? Posted: 08 Feb 2019 11:05 PM PST I am 20 years old and autistic. My brother is 25 years old and normal. He says that I am slow and I can not learn. He says that I am like a little boy and I can not understand his friends. I want to go out with him. I like his friends. They are very nice to me. They buy me chocolate. They smile at me. They say nice things to me. I love going out with them. I love playing with them. My brother says that I say strange things. He says that I make his friends laugh. I think it is good to my his friends laugh. My brother think it is bad to my his friends laugh. |
Question: Should I try to text my friend who’s blocked me on her phone and Facebook? Posted: 08 Feb 2019 10:12 PM PST It's been 2 weeks since this happen and I'm just concern the friendship I don't what to do. I'm planning on waiting a few more weeks then text her via iMessage she forgot to block me there but should I? Would that be to stalkerish.... We've been talking 7 years. This was the first time she has ever blocked me. We didn't even fight. She's just said she needed a break from me bc I was exhausting her. I wasn't expecting her to block me. I just must have been really needy. I probably shouldn't text her at all and I should give her space. She's not the type to text or talk if she is mad. She requires an apology and a explanation as to why it won't happen again ... she's is right though I was needy and overwhelming her with my problems but I've learnt from this so how more weeks should I wait... if I text her via iMessage and bypass the blocks would make me seem more needy and creepy? I can't just loose this friendship. I just want closure ... I want to apologize and ask for forgiveness ... should I text via iMessage or not !? If so how long I wait? |
Question: Does our smartphone hear what we're saying? Posted: 08 Feb 2019 08:07 PM PST When I wasn't actually using my phone, but had it in my pocket (without google assistant or anything like that being active) my friend asked me something about Faith Hill. I am not a fan of Faith Hill & never did a search for her or anything. Then later that night, I got a recommendation for a Faith Hill music video. Then yesterday my friend asked me on the phone (talking, not on social media, but LITERALLY TALKING) asked me if I wanted to go to Disneyland. And today I received an ad about Disneyland. I have a T-Mobile phone. Does my phone listen to what I say and what people say around me? (when I'm not intending it to?) |
Question: Why does it still hurt sometimes? Posted: 08 Feb 2019 07:20 PM PST I'll try to make this short. 7 years ago next month, I met the first guy I ever fell in love with. We weren't a couple, never dated or had sex or even kissed. He was my friend, though. This guy led me on so bad. When I first developed feelings for him (we WERE work colleagues, that's how we met), he was married with a family. Nearly 2 years later, they divorced. He began flirting with me hardcore, even implying that we'd possibly have sex (at least) someday. For a long time, I chased him and he LOVED the attention. He never told me to back off or anything. He welcomed it, literally, with open arms. A little over 3 years ago, his flirtations became bolder. One night, I was hugging him good night and he began to grab my butt a few times and even ran his hand down my pants and grabbed my butt through my panties. At one point, he put both hands on the sides of my face as if to kiss me, but we got interrupted. You could tell the both of us were quite h*rny in that moment. A week later was his birthday and I sent him a flirty birthday message, only to find out he has a girlfriend. I was CRUSHED!!! I saw him 4 months later and he said he never meant to lead me on and told me all these positive things about myself and said we needed to distance ourselves because there's no way he could trust himself around me while he's in a relationship. I haven't seen him or talked to him in almost 3 years. Fast forward to now, I am happily engaged and love my fiancé very much. However, I still dream of my first love. He still pops up in my head, still pops up in conversations with my friends, etc. and it still hurts so bad. In hindsight, he was an assh*le, but I guess it was good that he didn't take advantage of my obvious love for him and sleep with me or anything. I just don't get why he treated me like that only to break my heart. Why does it still hurt so much? Why do I miss him still? Sometimes I'll see a photo of him and I can't breathe. I'm 28, he's 40 now. He's still with that woman, by the way. When she found out (the night of his birthday) that I didn't know he had a girlfriend, they fought about it. His excuse (to me) was he likes to keep his life private. I'm just like...I'm the ONE person who needed to know if you have a girlfriend or not!! (which by the way, just a couple weeks prior, he told me he was dating and messing around because "that's what single people do"...yes, he actually said he was single...what a douche!) I do have his number or at least the number he had 3-4 years ago. I've tried messaging him on Facebook and Instagram over the last 3 years and he hasn't read the majority of the messages (to my knowledge). I don't have any photos of him anymore, I deleted them before I met my fiancé. I was reading old messages between a friend and myself and saw on the side of the message the photos I had sent her of this guy, in the past. He wasn't my first crush, my first crush was when I was 5 years old lol. I'm over THAT guy, although he's still very hot haha. This guy was my first love. I would've done just about anything for him. What's pretty funny is I never actually confessed to him I had feelings for him. I never told him how I felt. He just knew, but we never had a discussion about it. The only thing that was revealed to him was that I really cared about him. He once said I hate him (as a flirtation) and I said I didn't. He said "No? How do you feel about me then?" and I said "I don't know, but I definitely don't hate you." That's about as far as he got when it came to finding out how I felt. |
Question: How to stop being sad? Posted: 08 Feb 2019 07:19 PM PST I moved away from my childhood neighborhood and had to transfer highschools. It's been almost 5 months since then and I'm just not used to it. I miss my friends and boyfriend more than anything. I have the worst trouble making good and close friends (by this I mean making friends to eat with at lunch, I have 'friends' I talk with in only a couple classes). At my old school I had plenty of close and personal friends, and id have the best of times eating with them at lunch. Literally nothing else made me happier now that I think about it. I have only a couple conversations with people at my new school, no matter how hard I try. I don't fit in, and this school is huge with a much larger population of students. If anyone actually read all this, I'm grateful. And if you can give advice or tips on how to move on and to stop being so frustrated that I'm not at my old school, I'd really appreciate it. I can't stop being angry or sad about it. It's getting to me, making me not motivated enough to really do my school work. Please just help |

Question: How to make geeky friends online? Posted: 08 Feb 2019 04:23 PM PST |
Posted: 07 Feb 2019 10:05 PM PST I'm in my 30s and a friend of mine from high school who dated my best friend during that time never showed any interest in me back then. We recently reconnected via social media and he sometimes will be texting me and PMing me at the same time. It also shows he is generally the first or one of them to look at my IG story and will click like on some stuff. Last weekend he began asking me to come hang out with him and I obliged . He did nothing inappropriate but I had my SO with me because it was late at night . We hugged and that was it. He's made some remarks that are flirty but they seem to be joking . Should I think anything of it or is he just bored ? |
