Question: How can I get over this? Posted: 15 Feb 2019 05:00 PM PST I was bullied in school and now everytime I see someone smile and laugh at me,I know in my heart they're doing the same thing the bullies did. I don't trust easily either. Help me |
Question: Is my best friend toxic? Posted: 15 Feb 2019 04:57 PM PST So I was best friends with a girl for 2 years now and we've never really had any problems until this year. She's always getting mad at me for no reason. She likes to joke around with me and laugh but when I do the same thing, she gets upset and ignores me. We have 2 other best friends and they're always with each other and talking and laughing and those other 2 girls do the same thing like make jokes about her and she laughs but with me it's apparently a different situation. Yesterday, I was walking with her and my other best friend and a close friend of mine is walking in the hallways and I start complimenting her and afterwards I see like a disgusted face on my best friends face. What's exactly so disgusting about me complimenting someone? Whenever she has problems whether it's family, other friends, work, or relationships, she's always coming to me and I support her and comfort her and I'm always there for her. Whenever it's me though, she comforts me sometimes but other times she goes "Do I care? No" like how do you expect me to be okay with you always saying this to me when I do nothing but support you and tell you I'm always going to be there for you? Is she toxic or is this just a normal stage in friendship? |
Question: My neighbors moved away, but I plan to show up unannounced? Posted: 15 Feb 2019 04:46 PM PST I dug up information. My neighbor and his extremely beautiful wife moved 2,500 miles away to San Francisco the other day because my neighbor got a job at Google and his wife got a job as a nurse. I am in love with his wife. I plan to visit them unannounced in a few months, they didn't give me their address. I really want his wife. Is this a good plan? I will take a bus to San Francisco in the summer and show up unannounced near their address and I'll wait until the former neighbor is not home and it's just the wife. I'll ring the doorbell and tell her how I feel about her , afterwards I'll come back and leave a long letter detailing how I feel about her and then leave. if they're not home and I don't see the wife, I'll leave a 10 page letter detailing how I feel about her and then leave. Is this a good plan? |

Question: Am I overreacting about my roommate? Posted: 15 Feb 2019 03:36 PM PST My roommate is a pothead who unplugs the smoke detector in his room as well as the ones in the hallway and kitchen every time he lights up.(which is at least once everyday) One smoke detector beeping is annoying enough, but thanks to him, we now frequently have 3 or 4 going off at the same time. His daily routine is to sleep well into the afternoon, (I don't think I've ever seen him leave to go to class) and smoke weed with his buddies all night. He managed to break one of them which was what finally prompted me to tell the head of student housing. Unbeknownst to me, he had been in trouble before and was essentially on probation with the school, destroying the smoke detector was the last straw and they kicked him off campus. I don't feel bad for bad him. I see him as a complete screw up, but some of my friends say I overreacted. |
Question: Was our boss being mean to us? Posted: 15 Feb 2019 02:23 PM PST I work in an office with 11 other women. Most of us are single and in our 30s. We have a 29 year old great looking and I mean great looking boss. He is also a great boss and a great friend. He is always giving us training so we can get promotions and better pay. He is fun to work for. We like to joke with him and he loves for us to do it. It just makes the day go buy much faster. One day at a staff meeting, jokingly one of us said "Boss, I can not get much work done today". "I am missing a period". Instantly our boss said "No problem, I will get you a new keyboard". We ALL had a GREAT laugh at his answer. It just made our day. In the employee beak room we were still laughing about it and employees from other departments heard us. They told us our boss was being mean to us. We told them we were just having fun. What do you think? Was our boss being mean to us? |

Question: My co workers get mad at me for not taking extra time on my breaks, why? Posted: 15 Feb 2019 01:50 PM PST Pretty much all of my co-workers leave 15 min earlier when it s time for them to go on break, or they will come back 15 min later after their break. Some even do both. Our supervisors had started catching people who were doing this and writing them up, however, there are some supervisors who don t care. I personally don t think taking the extra time is worth it so when my co-workers tell me to go ahead on break early, I inform them that I don t feel comfortable taking extra time anymore. They get pissed off! I don t know why what I do or don t do is their business. They keep trying to make me take extra time and I keep telling them no. They start talking crap about me and angry staring at me. I told them that I don t mind if they take the extra time, I won t tell on them but I just personally don t want to do it anymore on my breaks. They still get mad and continue trying to force me to take time. Why????? |

Question: Was I just feeling sorry for myself? Posted: 15 Feb 2019 01:29 PM PST I went to my high school class reunion recently. My classmate Joe was there. Joe was the guy who helped me with math so I could pass the math course. Without his help I probably would have failed math and had to do another year at school. Joe had asked me for a date several times and I had turned him down. Amazingly he kept helping me with math after I turned him down for a date. Joe had the most beautiful wife I had ever seen. I learned later that she was a swim suit model. Was she ever gorgeous. All of my female classmates wanted to talk to Joe and especially his wife. I learned from them that he was a VERY successful businessman in California. He owned several companies and was a multi millionaire. He lived in a 5000 sq ft home in Malibu California next to the ocean. I came to the reunion in my old Chevy. He came to the reunion in a private jet. Suddenly, I was VERY depressed. That could have been me living the luxury life if I had not been so stupid when I was in high school. I must have been out of my mind refusing to date Joe. I wanted to tell Joe how sorry I was for refusing to date him in high school especially since he had been so nice to me. Should I have told him that? What do you think? Was that a normal reaction I had or was I just feeling sorry for myself? |
Question: What do I do when my lustful side and my Logical side collide? Posted: 15 Feb 2019 12:05 PM PST You see there are these two friends who I think are kinda cute and one of them has been kissing one of my sorta friend(not bf and gf) and so part of me want to fool around with but my logical side says that they don't need that and what they need is a friend. They both tell me about fooling around with other guys and this makes me sad. I don't wanna ruin our friendship but I also wanna **** them but also on top of that, my logical side says that hey need friends more than they need a fwb. What do I do when my lustful side and my Logical side clash |
Question: Why double standards exist, in personal relationships? Posted: 15 Feb 2019 11:21 AM PST If u win over a person's affection, they will defend all your terrible awful traits. If you don't win over their affections, they will PICK U APART EVERY CHANCE THEY GET. This happened to me in my social life; because I wasn't as well-liked, everything I did was "terrible", even if someone ELSE did the exact same thing and got away with it! Thoughts? |
Question: Is this a good idea or bad idea? Posted: 15 Feb 2019 11:10 AM PST My friend blocked me on her phone and fb. she said she needed a break from me. It's been almost a month. I'm thinking about this texting her via iMessage with my email. Not to ask to be friends but to apologize for my behavior and and just hope she reconsiders our friendship. |

Question: I want to be friend of a American pastor, How? Posted: 15 Feb 2019 09:11 AM PST I HONESTLY THINK IF I PUT MYSELF ON HANDS OF JESUS, MY PROBLEMS WILL BE SOLVED ON HIS HANDS. BUT WHENEVER I SAY THAT I AM JEWISH WITH JEWISH ROOT AND AT THE SAME TIME I BELIEVE IN JESUS AS JEWISH MESSIAH, THEY START TO SAY THAT NEW TESTAMENT IS TRUE AND JESUS IS G-D, WHILE, I BELIEVE IN G-D OF ISRAEL YHWH AS ONE TRUE G-D, AND JESUS AS THE MESSIAH AND PROPHET JEWS ALWAYS WAITED FOR. SO, THEY DON'T BE FRIEND WITH ME, BECAUSE OF NEW TESTAMENT ACCOUNT ON JESUS IS GOD, NOT YHWH. Any American pastor on facebook, plz?? Thanks! |

Question: Guy friend tried to kiss me. Now I don't want to be around him.? Posted: 15 Feb 2019 07:57 AM PST I've been friends with this guy for a long time. He told me he liked me in the past & I told him I wasn't interested but we still remained friends. I thought he moved on from that but I guess not. He asked me to go with to the movies with him & I accepted the invite. Not paying attention to the date, the movie invite fell on Valentines Day. I'm not a fan of the holiday & he knows this but I still agreed to go. He shows up with roses which I thought was a sweet gesture. After the movie we take the train home. As he was about to get off on his stop he leans over to hug me & it looked as if he was trying to kiss me on the lips but I turned so he would land on my cheek. He didn't take the hint the 1st time. He places his hands on my chin & tries again but I turned again. I think the people on the train saw too. I don't know why he would even try to go that far because I never gave off any signals. I don't even flirt with him. Maybe he thinks cause I agreed to hang out with him that I like him in that way, but I don't. Now I don't feel comfortable around him at all. What should I do? |
Question: Why did my dear friend start saying “I love you” (first), more often? Posted: 15 Feb 2019 07:46 AM PST My dear friend and i have been very close for years, she is so special to me as I am to her. We hold a special bond. She is very blunt, rough person, not so much sentimental, although she has a soft spot for me. So she is often more kind with me than anyone else. We're both women and love each other dearly, we show it all the time, we are best friends. We talk every day on the phone, multiple times, once in a while rarely i will say "love you" before we say bye. She will say it back, although I don't say it often because she is very reswrved and that "rough/tough" kind of person, she gets uncomfortable with "lovey dovey" things. Although sometimes she will be extra sweet with me.. Well recently she said "I love you" to me first a few weeks ago when we are about to get off the phone! It meant so much because I know her, she doesn't play around with anything and means her words. After that she has started saying "i love you" even more so when we get off the phone. I love it and it means so much, I'm just wondering, why has she started to say it? Especially more often do you think? |
Question: My close friend has HIV? Posted: 15 Feb 2019 07:26 AM PST Yesterday my workmate and classmate talked to me one on one and told me he's HIV positive. He's obviously in the early stages as you couldn't tell he has the virus (he said his doctor told him the same thing) and is going to get a few tests done to see what stage it's at and how it can be treated, but he's assured me that he's going to be fine. I've no idea how to react to this, I'm shocked because I've never encountered anyone with the virus and he's a close friend. I've no idea how he must be feeling, as he's only 24, but I'm sure he's terrified at the moment. How can I support him whilst he gets his head around this and adjusts to living with it? |

Question: Am I overanalyzing this? Posted: 14 Feb 2019 07:36 PM PST I have a male friend that claims to care about me as a friend. I had bronchitis that turned into pneumonia and I was in the hospital for a few days. Anyway, I sent him a message to let him know about this and this was the following response I received in return. Am I over-analyzing or is that a cold response? "Sorry to hear you got worse, but glad to hear you are now getting better. Keep it up. Get well. XO R" ...so is this just me or does this seem a bit cold and more professional than friendly? I tend to overanalyze things so please let me know and please also indicate if you are a male or female that is answering please be honest and will choose a best answer Thankyou everyone so much!!:) I really appreciate it! |
Question: What should a guy do for a girl when she's crying ? Posted: 14 Feb 2019 07:22 PM PST My friend is upset because she said this is the worst Valentines Day she's ever had. First her boyfriend didn't call or ask her to go out she's worried he might be cheating again even though he said he wouldn't. Two her popsocket on her phone broke she can't get it back together 3 her favorite movie didn't come in the mail today so she didn't get anything for Valentines Day not even a card or flowers. It sounds like she's having a rough day I want to help her feel better but it's getting late I don't know what to do for her also Valentines Day is almost over. How can I comfort her ? |
Question: Why didn't he acknowledge it? Posted: 14 Feb 2019 07:08 PM PST I'll try to keep this short. I've known my friend since June 2016, as he used to be my boss. We no longer work together anymore nor do we work at the same place we met at. We became friends in Feb. or March 2017. He's been married many years and has a family. I recently got engaged. He is almost 39, I'm 28. There has always been some sort of unspoken bond between us. When we worked together, there seemed to be a great deal of sexual tension and maybe even a little romantic tension. Neither one of us spoke about it or acted on it. Nowadays, we see each other maybe a couple times a month at church (a very casual, non-traditional church..mind you). When my fiancé and/or his wife is around, he'll either not acknowledge me/us or he won't be very talkative. When it's just the two of us, we could talk for an hour with no awkward pauses or silences. He cares about me and has shown concern for me over things. He also once implied I deserve the best. After I announced my engagement, he didn't say a word about it. His wife even congratulated us, but he didn't say a word. I saw him last night at Bible study for the first time since the engagement and I saw him looking down at the ring on my hand, but still not acknowledging it. He was a little flirty with me, despite my fiancé being there, but it was innocent flirtation. My fiancé did mention to me later that he noticed we were flirting. Why do you think my friend didn't acknowledge my engagement yet? By the way, my friend is very happily married and we both have good morals and he'd never betray his wife and I'd never betray anybody involved. He's been married for 16 years, I've only known him for over 2 years. He never would've been able to make a move. Yeah, I have feelings for him, i'm not going to lie, but I'm with my fiancé and my friend is with his wife and that's how it'll stay. Anon., you didn't comment back lol. |

Question: How do I locate my neighbors who moved away? .? Posted: 14 Feb 2019 05:27 PM PST I started to talk to my neighbors 2 months before they moved to San Francisco yesterday. They told me to come visit them once. I know the couple by first name basis, I don't know their last name but my other neighbor told me their last name starts with a "C". I want to go all the way out to San Francisco to visit them. How do I locate them without their last name or phone number? My neighbor before he left, told me that he got a job at "Google " in San Francisco. How do I find them? I just want to visit them one time. |
Question: Why has my best male friend stop talking to me since he got engaged? Posted: 14 Feb 2019 04:47 PM PST My good friend of 4 years has cut me off since I saw in the local paper that he was engaged. He didn't even tell me that he was getting married. I had no idea that he had a girlfriend! When I asked him about why he didn't tell me, he said that it was not true that he was engaged. I just saw pictures from his work wedding shower on FB. Now he won't answer my calls. Why has my best male friend stopped talking to me since he got engaged with no explanation? |
Question: Okay so basically the thing is i didn’t let my friend cheat off me? Question: What is this called and does anyone else have this problem? Posted: 14 Feb 2019 10:28 AM PST So, tl;dr, I have a problem going outside on my own. I can't go shopping or go to the cafe or do whatever without somebody else beside me, a friend for example. I feel completely uneasy and I'm so afraid if I do anything when I'm on my own that others will find it ridiculous, even though it may not actually be. It only takes me like 8 minutes to go shopping because I'm not hesitating to look for things and want to just get out of here quickly. With someone else however, I can be as goofy as I can and I don't really care what I do in public. If I have a friend or by brother or whoever, I feel comfortable. I'm a male if that's useful. |
Question: Why are people so two faced? Posted: 14 Feb 2019 09:38 AM PST I was bullied all throughout school and anywhere I went really, church included so I left middle school at 14. I lost weight and ended up graduating from homeschooling a year later and moved away to go to college. I am only 1 hour maybe less away from where I'm unfortunately from. I still see and talk to my family. Anyways,I started to get recognition for some things I did and people from where I lived at before found out about it and came out of the woodwork like nothing ever happened. I was PISSED OFF. I was told to come back to speak at some event but I said no. People started to get mad and reminisced about all the "good times" we had. But I told them those "good times" that YOU HAD had me crying and afraid to even go outside of my room. Now I'm the bad guy. Is it wrong that I chose the life I created for myself than to go back to people that made my life a living hell? |

Question: Am I being used by a friend? How to stop this the nice way? Posted: 14 Feb 2019 08:53 AM PST I've been driving my 15 yrs. old to a night leadership class an hour away once a week. My son recruited a classmate to join and we carpooled. I have been driving this kid to class (with my son) four times since he started. The class is from 7 - 9 pm so we always stop at fast food after class before heading home (one hour drive) for dinner. 1st week the kid didn't bring money and I paid for dinner, 2nd and 3rd he brought money so he paid for his meals. The 4th he forgot to bring cash so he took $10 from my son, he said he'll pay back next week. No words from parents on how their son being fed, no thanks, nothing about when will they doing the driving. How do we go about asking them to drive some weeks? They know we will drive our son anyway so I think they don't want to drive an hour each way for their son but do we have to feed him each time he didn't bring cash? His parents are not poor, they own a business in town. My point is how come the parents don't care about how the boy was fed that night (it's been twice), not care about paying us back or even a call to say thanks. This class will go on for 4 yr. through out high school years. Am I to take care of driving and dinners here and there for 4 years. |

Posted: 14 Feb 2019 12:01 AM PST 've been hooking up with this guy who lives in a different state since 2015. We aren't in a relationship we are friends with benefits it's just a fling. But I help him financially and he helps me with my homework and he sends me things like books etc. He also gave me a computer for school. But I've been talking to this other guy I met him at a store where he works a couple of years ago. But we really just started talking recently we've been talking on Facebook for a year. And we are going to meet up soon initially he had asked me to go out with him. But I asked if he wanted to be friends with benefits. He said yes and that he had always been into me. I still talk to the other guy who lives in a different state and he told me I could come see him when I want to. So is it wrong for me to have sex and hangout with the new guy? I'm not in a relationship with the first guy. |
Question: What would be the best move if you have a friend who is not treating you right at all? Posted: 13 Feb 2019 08:48 PM PST I have a friend named peter who is not treating me well at all and he is accusing me of blowing up his phone when I didn't. He was mad at me about two weeks ago because I wasn't available one evening because I had to go to a chinese new year festival. The next day when I texted him and called him, he used those against me. I only sent him about 4 text messages telling him about something and called him twice to see if he is ok since he didn't respond. He went and told a mutual friend of ours named aaron who I am no longer friends with and aaron has something against me. Aaron hates my guts like crazy. He told peter to stop talking to me for a while. I don't get why I am being treated and punished like this when I didn't do anything wrong. I just don't understand how can anything I did is considered bad. Because of what they are doing, it is making me get attached to this girl who I'm friends with. Her name is nina and we hung out last weekend at one of her shows. I was hanging out with her backstage and I became emotionally attached to her because of how well she treated me. I wanted to spend every minute that I can with her as I see her as an big sister. I am just really sad at peter doing this to me because I never did anything wrong. What would be the best thing to do if peter is treating me this way ? Should I end the friendship ? Am I becoming emotionally attached to nina because of what peter is doing to me ? |
Posted: 13 Feb 2019 08:23 PM PST My friend and I are college roommates. I have a very stressful schedule, I'm a music major taking 11 classes (only 16 credits), I work 10 hours a week, had 3 people I knew growing up pass away all within 5 months, and am going through some health issues that's causing me to visit the E. R frequently. So, I'll admit, sometimes I'm in a foul mood, sometimes I don't feel like talking to my roommate/friend, and sometimes I just want to be alone. Whenever I come back to our in, (in a bad mood) or if I leave our room, my roommate always thinks it has something to do with her. I keep telling her that if I want to be alone or if I don't feel like talking, that it has nothing to do with her. On Tuesdays, I have SEVEN classes back to back, and when I get back to our dorm, I don't want to be bothered, I just want to go to sleep. But my roommate ends up thinking that I'm mad at her. How do I get her to stop thinking this way? |
Question: What do you do if you suspect a classmate is abusing dangerous drugs before class? Posted: 13 Feb 2019 08:18 PM PST I'm a college senior, and a classmate from my department is in a gen ed class with me. She keeps showing up extremely high to class, it does NOT appear to be weed. (Drooling, wide eyes with dialated pupils, nodding with huge gestures when the teacher is nearby to appear focused, mouth hanging open). My other classmates had a hard time looking away because of how strange she was acting. We believe it is something serious and not marijuana. Her face is seriously changing-- she used to have clear skin and now she has more and more deep, bright red marks on her face and they never go away or get better, and they aren't round like pimples. She used to work very hard on her appearance and now doesn't appear to put any effort in (not that it matters, but something that used to be very important to her no longer is). What do I do? I have no proof that she is behaving this way and of course we could be wrong. We don't wish to get her in any trouble because she is dating someone who we believe could be very emotionally abusive and if she has anymore problems in her life, she may turn more to drugs or her boyfriend. I thought of anonymously asking a counselor to reach out to her but I do not want to push her away. |
Question: New school makes me uncomfortable? Posted: 13 Feb 2019 07:40 PM PST So I recently started a new school, and it is pretty small. Everyone knows everyone, and I know pretty much no one. There is only one girl there who I can even consider my friend, and she honestly makes me kind of uncomfortable? She talks about getting in fights, rock music, stuff I'm not really into. Anyways, today after lunch I went to a classroom with her to play a card game since we had free time, and behind me two people (guy and a girl) started talking. It was obvious I was there, and they were kind of just having an open conversation anyone could respond to if you get what I mean? They started talking about ME and saying how I didn't look like I got in trouble much, and the guy said a teacher had asked him to be nice to me. I was so uncomfortable. The girl then turned to the my one friend and asked my name. She didn't ask me even though I was right there, nope, she pointed at me and said "what's her name". Am I reading too much into all this? I am kinda hating this school so far. I feel so out of place. Help me? |
Question: Going to ghetto school? Posted: 13 Feb 2019 07:17 PM PST I started a new school last week (mid-year, 10th grade), and I am honestly having SO much trouble fitting in. The only friend I really have is this one girl who came up to me on my first day, and I kid you not, during our first conversation she started talking about how she got into fights a lot and was abused/suicidal? Help. Me. Other than that, I am one of the only white kids in the school, and it can get pretty difficult to communicate when everyone is Latino and/or African American and speaking a different language 24/7 (I really hope that didn't come off as rude, I'm not racist in the slightest, it is just new for me to be in this environment). I used to go to a private school a few years ago before homeschooling (this is the first time since elementary that I've gone to a public school), and even then I had trouble talking to people. I'm pretty sure I have anxiety, I get EXTREMELY nervous when talking to other kids in the school and I can never think of what to say. I just look and sound really awkward all the time. I'm kind of looking to reinvent myself? How do I talk to these people? What do I do? I just want a guide on how to get through this all to be honest. I want to know how to sound cool, look cool, the whole deal. How to get past my awkwardness... Help please? |

Posted: 13 Feb 2019 06:54 PM PST My friend has a job but is only working an hour-two hours a day and would leave her work shift to meet with other people and has the weekends off. I have realized that her bosses don't really want her there as much anymore because she's not doing the things she's suppose to be doing and is always on her phone. I have been telling her to get real job for more hours but she says no every time. She doesn't have that much money in her bank account and can't afford gas because of this job. What could I do to help her? |

Question: I hooked up with my friends crush after she told me no... help? Posted: 13 Feb 2019 05:33 PM PST Ok so one of my close friends has this kind of puppy love crush on this guy... we'll call him Jake. They've never talked and she always makes jokes about how that's her "husband" however she has a boyfriend who is good friends with Jake. Her and her boyfriend have been together for a while and she's constantly saying how happy she is with him. Recently Jake made a move on me and I asked her if she would be mad since she's in a relationship now.... and that i completely understood if she would be mad.... and then she got mad. I told her okay I'm sorry and she remained mad at me for a couple of days. The guy and I continued to talk as friends and recently he came over to hang out and we ended up hooking up (not sex but just about) I now feel extremely guilty and I have NO IDEA what to do... do I tell her? |
