My mom and stepdad dislike my boyfriend over an argument that happened about half a year ago. I have a cat at home and I lease with my mom. They accuse me of neglecting her since I would stay overnight with him for 1 day out of the week. However, I do take care of her and her needs. They brought this up and it made me cry and my bf didn't take too kindly to that so he stepped in and tried to defend me. Everyone was upset so a lot of unnecessary things were said. But it's now impossible of any reconcilation between them, especially my mom. My bf is willing to sit down with my stepdad if that opportunity is ever presented. I'm 16 and live with my mom and her boyfriend in New York. God I hate him so much, i dont know what my mom sees in him. They have been together for 5 years now. Let me start with saying this man has cheated on her too many times. First time was 2 years ago, he had another relationship with another lady that had a baby for a month until my mom caught them. My daughter is 1 month old 2 months next week she sleeps a lot for a newborn she actually let's me and her mom sleep at night she rarely cries or wakes us up. We took her to our cousins funeral yesterday we had on one to watch her so she had to go she slept through pretty much the entire thing she slept half through the 2 hour car ride. Until they started playing the music at the funeral yesterday she woke up for a little while. I don't think I ever seen a baby sleep so much she doesn't hardly do anything except watch tv or play with her toys once in a while or throw her toy at me but that's all she pretty much does. She could probably even sleep through a tornado. Is there something wrong with her ? Is it normal for a baby to sleep so much ?

I went to work last night & forgot to get clothes out for my son while my sister watched him. She went through my belongings and found him something to wear. My mom and step dad had twins, & the step dad had medical issues so he couldn't really do anything for them, and eventually my mother couldn't take care of them cause she also started having big medical issues. Well, ok so I'm 17 and senior year in high school with a brother, 15, and two twin sisters, 9. My childhood wasn't exactly easy for me. When I was a kid I was diagnosed with ADHD and in school I've never had any close friends. I moved a lot which it made it hard to make friends and I also suffered from bullying (Not anymore though). I just found out my 18 year old daughter is a sugar baby. She is in college. And I noticed strange things. She started leaving town 3 times each month. Than she came home with a 15k+ car(Mercedes) . I assumed it was to a small apartment. But no. When she shows me her new "home" it was a 3, 000sq foot HOUSE. With five bedrooms. I just tried to set a boundary with family. That I refuse to be around any negativity or complaining when there's no positivity to balance it because it's energy draining and soul sucking. They don't encourage me to pursue my goals because they know if I do, my help to them will be less available. If anyone is familiar with this type of behaviour please help enlighten me. Am I crazy for wanting to figure this out? I am the 9th child in a really big family, and my mom seems to give more attention to the boys, well it doesn't bother me cause I feel that I am more independent and free. but the pressure she puts on us is so unbearable. she wanna wake up and find every inch of the house perfectly cleaned up. she wants to see nothing in the kitchen sink. I think that this is impossible, especially that her boys are too demanding and they make a mess right before they go to bed. I have plenty of work and worksheets to do and I spend lots of time on my laptop trying to search and read since I am an elementary teacher! I tried to reach a deal with my sisters in order to schedule everything just to avoid mom's morning anxiety, but they don't seem like they want to cooperate. i am fed up with the whole thing. our son just graduated high school and he got a job at alorica (a call center), his past 3-4 paychecks he's been buying shoes, clothes, and jewrely.. probably to impress his new girlfriend. yes, he has a new girlfriend as well. I'm just honestly tired I've been driving him and his sister around for years upon years upon years. I'm tired and drained, they should both have their own cars and licenses now as they are both adults. I have to take them to work, pick them up, take them to the grocery store. it's just too much. My son took up my whole saturday because he had me running him around town trying to get his errands done and get his groceries. I wanted to watch the game but I couldn't even enjoy watching my favorite game. Sometimes my son's friends will drive him places but a lot of the times i'm doing the driving. My son was like " I appreciate you driving me around but can you stop complaining so much. there's so many more places I want to go and don't even ask you to take me there" I was like " I'm going to complain because I'm tired of driving you around". I wish we lived in a place where public transportation was readily available but unfortunately we do not.

There is this trip that I really want to go on and have said that I will pay for all by myself, however, no matter what reasons I give my parents, they continue to tell me no. It's a once in a lifetime opportunity, so I won't ever get it again, however, the only thing they care about is my school work. I do really well in school, and I am this year as well.
