I'm a Junior in high school. I believe he's a Senior. It's my 4th hour Sociology class. He sits in my line of vision. He always looks very nervous sitting in the classroom. He looks at the teacher very awkwardly and stiffly. It's a little distracting because he looks so uncomfortable. I wonder what his problem could be. I want to ask him "Why do you always look so scared?" What do you guys think?

They bugged me to take them to a pizza place.They offer to get me a piece of pizza but I don't get one because I don't want to get fat. I end up talking about the virtues of me not getting pizza while their eating their pizza. Then we had a big fight bc they want to stop at a gas station on the opposite side of the street and get iced t. I refuse to stop bc I don't wan t to move in the other lane . They pick another gas station on where I don't have to change lanes but I am afraid the cashier will gossip about me if I go there. I tell them they can stop at the dollar tree but the dollar tree doesn't have any drinks.. They seem mad so I decide to let go there but complain the whole time about how lucky they are I am such a good friend. They ask to get out so they go to the gas station they want and we have a big fight and I ask them why they are being so mean to me when I gave them a ride. They are like don't we will never ask you for a ride again. They wanted to have fun with me apparently but I am huge buzzkill I don't think I am. They all rolled their eyes when I was talking about how everyone is talking behind my back at work. I can feel it in my bones.

She talks about how her boyfriend is going to college (Ivy League school) when his grandma and her did all high homework and tests in high school because he was too lazy to do it and we all know he won't write an application or spend money on an application because he doesn't work and plays video games all day. I know he isn't going there because you have to apply then have an interview and take tests in order to move on He has to pay $500 of rent which is split between 3 people which is $1500 and he doesn't work unless it's her birthday or Valentine's Day so he can skip out on it. And last year he bought all his friends presents except her and this year his mom gave him $200 to buy her a present with and he spent $50 with it then spent the rest on himself. And she brags about how he spoils her and buys her rings and flowers when she gets mad that he tries to skip out on it. When I got a second job, a week later she went back to her old job so she could have a second job too which doesn't mean she's copying me, she could have actually needed the money but the timing was just weird to My question is, is she copying her? And she lies about how much money she has in order to not spend it and I want to cut her off but I don't know if I have a valid reason or if I'm just stressing over nothing

I actually had this about a year ago and my mom got upset and thought it was rude that I thought that but the messages weren't "normal" same thing for today my mom and I were talking about my stepdad and in the store she was messaging a old friend and she turned her phone away from me and I asked her who it was and she said it was someone that she took care of in the hospital but It was her old friend and her message was "I feel the exact same way!" and he was talking about love and something and shes always open then I saw a voicemail and picked up her phone in the car and she grabbed it away and she's never done something like that because she lets me on her phone all the time. She's been acting weird since last week and messages include love and him calling her baby and her calling him babe and when he called her she was like "Go inside I'm going to talk to somebody." she's never done or been like this before.

I'm a freshman in high school and most of my friends are rich af and have parents that got lots of money. I'm the oldest of 6 children and I guess you could say my parents are financially struggling atm. I live in a relatively rich area where everyone has big houses and such while I live in the poorer side in an apartment. Everytime me and my friends wanna hang out we always go to their house and I never dare to invite them to my place because I don't want them to know I live in an apartment and my place is probably too small for them to come over anyways. At lunch I always feel left out when everyone is talkin cuz they always talk about getting the latest fashion trends and how their parents get them everything etc. I on the other hand I still wear clothes that I had from 2 years ago and I don't wanna ask my parents for new clothes cuz my siblings also always need them to buy them stuff and I know my parents can't afford all these expensive clothes that my friends have that I'm dying to get. Even when we go to the mall I usually don't get anything. I'm just trying to fit in with everyone else but I can't because I'm not like them. And I know you're probably thinking get new friends or whatever but everyone else at my school is like that all rich and stuck up (or at least pretend to be like that). So I just wanted advice on how to cope with being the "poor" friend in ur friend group.

She was right to block me. I was being extremely needy toward and I get why she did it. We've been talking almost 8 years and I don't want to loose that. She only had to work to pay her phone bill and for clothes because her parents pay her car insurance and health insurance.I introduced her to all of my friends and family. Told her she was beautiful a dozen times per day.I even bought her college supplies and encouraged her. Yet she dumped me saying I don't love her enough and then posts status's like the one above. I literally begged for her to give me another chance. Not many 40 year old men would do what I did, I even posted music videos about heartbreak on fb and deleted all females off my page just to make her feel secure. wtf is wrong with this chick,now she's telling everyone I broke her heart She pursued me hard and we have a lot of mutual friend and co-workers and a lot of them are her age 20-25 and have the same job title as me and also make around 50k per year. I get that she only makes $14/hr so I make more but I'm not rich and she seemed to really enjoy the sex with me and was furiously jealous if another girl even looked at me and possessive, so I know she loved me.

I left the state I'm from for a work opportunity and became successful in my work. I visited my home state for family reasons and people I used to know are mad that I didn't even say bye to them or give an explanation on why I left. Let me clarify,the people that are mad at me are people who talked about me from a distance,behind my back,etc and never said two words to me. Why am I obligated to give them an explanation when they went out of their way to make fun of me?

So my friend Josh buys .5 grams from my friend Tim for $40.I don't like coke I am just the middle man between them,They been constant users with each other for awhile.Anyways josh got drunk and wanted to do coke.He wanted me to buy it from Tim because he felt like he would of got a better deal.Anyways we didn't and got the coke.WhilE josh was doing the coke he realized he only got like 5 big lines from it and he felt like he didn't get a good deal.His girlfriend who also regularly does coke as well urged him to contact Tim.I was a little drunk at the time so I sort of just told him to contact him if he felt he got lowballed,but not take it so serious.Josh decides to contact tim with a long paragraph mentioning my name twice how he feels like we got lowballed.Tim doesn't back down saying the scale doesn't lie and blah blah.I knew Tim wasn't gonna back down and I was mad at Josh for mentioning my name without even having evidence that he lowballed him.Now I feel like I'm caught in the middle of something stupid.Because I worked with Tim and we are actually good friends.Now I have to go into work feeling how awkward it's gonna be and josh doesn't even care.He told me I can just throw him under the bus but I feel like that's too late.What do you guys think

I find it pretty sad because i feel angry over stuff I have no control of as a 26 year old female. Since I was 11, a lot of other females always had a problems with me. While there were times I deserved to be disliked, I noticed that some people (mostly other women) would dislike me when I never did anything to them. They would go out their way to bully, exclude, & humiliate me. Because of my bad experiences with making friends, I find myself being jealous of people who haves a lot of genuine friends. I resent it, & I noticed that I'm starting to be more open with it. When I see pictures of people with large groups of friends on Twitter, I retweet it saying something like "how can someone have that many friends, that's crazy" in a sarcastic tone. I even brag about my low self esteem publicly & talk to others about how I'm better off being someone else because nobody likes & accepts me. They think I'm crazy for it, but I know they would be unhappy too if they were treated like dirt all the time. I apologize if I sound annoying, it's just that I'm feeling jealous & frustrated with my situation.

So, there's this boy at work who I would consider a friend normally but lately he's been calling me an umpa lumpa and I really don't know how to take it. My roommate has moods where she is extremely sweet to me, and moods where she either ignores me or lashes out. For example: I asked her to turn in subtitles for a show and she said that the wifi was weak and the show might get stuck if she tried to do anything. I said it doesn't matter and we can just try, and she screamed at me about how no one needs to subtitles to watch shows (we were having a normal volume convo until she screamed at me). she would never prioritize me over her other friends, and she expects me to do things for her. I am always nice to her, and I feel like she is abusing the fact that I am nice to her. She even bad mouthed my friends, and tends to force me to make decisions that benefit her rather than my own self. Is she being mentally abusive?

I never understood his reasons. He said I'll find someone better. Then his excuse was online friendship sucks and yet he's always online. We both come from a mentally ill family and suffer from it. I am divorced but my ex wife and I are still on friendly terms. I work for a news organization and I saw a news report that the current boyfriend of my ex wife was on probation for domestic violence. I am not sure what I should do about this information if anything. I talk to my ex wife rarely and she tells me what a good boyfriend she has. I doubt if she knows about his conviction for domestic violence. Should I tell her? Who she has as a boyfriend is really none of my business but as a friend I think she should know about his conviction for domestic violence. I was invited to go to a concert with the wives of my fiancé's best friends. As I sat down at the table, the host said that I was invited because her other friends couldn't make it. I let that go, I was nice and friendly and I let that comment go. At the show, they didn't realize I was in the bathroom stall overhearing them planning on how to sit together and not next to as they had been for the first part of the show. How would you react? I'm too old for cliques and as much as I love new friends, I don't like feeling like crap. So I texted thank you, and I left. Everybody is the same, dress the same act the same look the same. You come in as who you are and people snub you or they are hostile towards you just because you are a different way than they are. You would get bullied and harrassed by one of them just because you're a different way, if you stick up for yourself all of them would turn against you in favor of the bully. If you defend yourself against the bully all of the others would stand in for the bully even though the bully would be in the wrong. You come back at one of them all of them defends that one person even of that one person is in the wrong. People would be hostile and mean towards you because you are just a different way than they are and they might accuse you of being 'different' They never travel along but in a entourage. They are never alone and you cannot talk to one of them one-on-one. They keep getting extreme with you over you being a different way than they are. They would treat you lower than the dirt on since you are a different way than they are. What is this called?

I had a bad experience in school and now everytime I see someone smile at me and then look away and start laughing I automatically know in my heart that they are making fun of me. I've had people that aren't the people I went to school with tell me that they weren't making fun of me but I write them off because "I know" they're lying. How can I get past it?

So he wasn't like this a few months ago, although he did have a drinking addiction. He is 15 making this much worse. He recently started getting high and now he is doing it whenever he can get his hands on ANY drug. So far he has just done weed and a wax pen. As a person who has never drank, or done drugs i dont know what to say to get him to stop. I can't tell his parents because he has dirt on me and will tell my parents the things I don't want them to know. The worse part is that he doesn't care about the law, the Bible (it is a church friend) or his parents rules at this point. I figure the only option is to let him get caught but how???

In the 2000s is when clocks started to be introduced to the general public with the 24 hour time mode. In the 90s, women with hijabs were not seen or heard of, and Muslims ans Islam wasn't heard of unless you lived next door to a foreigner. Even still if they viewed a Muslim couple on tv in the 90s, they were typically making fun of them and their heritage. Making a joke out of them. You don't see that anymore. In the 90s, you never had Mexican restaurants like you do today, they did exist but not in large quantities and enforced and pushed by the media. The biggest thing that you seen on tv was taco bell, and people making fun of Mexicans and their heritage and culture. Where did all this stuff come from?

Everyone bullies me. And when I say everyone, I mean everyone. Everyone I've ever met has bullied me. People just don't like me. I don't really know why. I think it's because of the way I look or act. I don't know. But I'm a nice person. I'm never really rude to people because they don't give me the chance. People can do whatever they want to me but I can't do anything back. I have no friends (not that I want any), and no family. No one cares about me.

She's bullied me ever since we were kids. Now we're adults and she still bullies me. But she always tries to make it look like I'm bullying her. I don't know what her problem is. Okay so I have these friends. One of the girls is really nice, always buys me gifts, smothers me with love, asks about my well being, helped me get through rough times, texts me often, sticks up for me, and acts like she genuinely cares. This is why im confused, because she does the craziest sh*t. When we are in public, she'll call me names, which I've told her before are hurtful, then say shes just joking. When I talked to her about it before, she said that she would stop and she was sorry, but she didn't. When I joke with her, she makes a big deal about it and act belittling and tries to tell everyone what I said. She also talks about everyone behind their backs and then acts like she loves the person when she sees them. One of my friends introduced her into her friend group and she got everyone to turn against her and be friends with her instead. She tried to turn me against her and after talking a bunch of trash about her, hung out with her the next day. And now for some reason the girl she was hanging out with is mad at me! Which is weird bc I didn't do anything and it makes me wonder if she said anything to her. She always tries to make me fight with my other best friend too. And shell continue to joke about things she knows I'm insecure about. She just seems really manipulative to me and often gets peoples pity by saying she depressed and tried to kill herself. Its confusing. She also gets mad that i dont introduce her to my other friends, but i saw how she turned evryone against my one friend for no reason so thats why. Anyways, then i have my other friend, who seems to only care about herself, always plays the victim, is mean for no reason, doesnt listen to your problems, is petty, only focuses on herself, and gets ad when her friends talk to eachother. She tries to control people and tells them they cant be friends since she knew them first. She tries to control people and also seems manipulative, and im not the only one who thinks this. She also tried to make the other girl we hang with mad at me. They are my best friends and we have alot of memories and fun times together.
