For the last few months my friends haven't been associating with me. School recently got out and I haven't heard from any of my friends. They never want to hang out. I see snapchats and social medias of the whole group hanging out still just without me. Idk what I did. I'm nice to everyone. Literally even if someone punches me in the face I will not get mad at them. Since none of my friends want to hang out I've been experimenting with drugs and other things to try and get a more set group of friends. I've met 3 kids from my school who I smoke weed with like once every couple weeks. To my surprise, we all have a lot in common and get along really well. Recently my parents found out I was smoking and they won't let me hang out with that friend group anymore. Now I'm stuck. My new friends group is off limits and my old friends don't like me. I've just been kinda riding solo kinda isolating myself since no one wants to hang out with me. But at this point I'm honestly sick of it. I'm bored out of my mind every day. Lack of social life is making me ask questions to myself I've never asked before. "Why are you still trying?" "Would anyone care if I just left right now? Would people even notice?" "I wonder what people would think if I just offed myself." I'm involved with sports and extrasI don't even know why I posted this question, maybe I just had to let it out somewhere. I can say it didn't really help if that's the case. I miss my friends, I miss being social. What can I do?

I'm 13, and yesterday my friend asked if I wanted to sleep over at her house today. I've only been to her house once, so I don't really know where anything is. Also, she asked me if I wanted to sleep on her trampoline, and I said yes to be polite, but now I'm rethinking it. It seems kind of scary. And what if her parents accidentally lock us out? What if I have to go to the bathroom or get a drink of water and we're locked out? The sleepover is in 3 hours. Any advice?

I have a birthday coming up and felt like I might want to plan a party and invite friends. I am not really sure that this is something adults usually do at my age though. I'm 15 and I recently started a new job where I work with 15-16 year old boys. It's only 2 people per shift so Im spending a lot of 1 on 1 time with whoever is working with me. I've always been nervous around people who I don't know especially in 1 on 1 scenarios but this time it's gotten especially bad because the people who I work with haven't been very welcoming so far and I end up just clamming up and sitting in the corner most of the time which I know gives an impression I dont want to talk to them. I told my mom and she said all the usual stuff about like asking them about them about things they like to do but I'm too scared to even do that. Does anybody have any advice on how to maybe get to feel more comfortable around them and act friendly without being too nervous so that it won't be awkward or uncomfortable to spend one on one time with them and we can maybe become friends? I have a friend (I will call her apple), and we became bestfriends on the first day of fourth grade, and I was happy to have her because back then and during that time I was bullied and she was the only one who could look at me differently. However, she moved in 6th grade to another place in the state that was far away, and she ended up finding new friends but we still talk now. I have not kept a friend longer than a year so she is really special to me to have her this long. I have another friend (I will call her pear), and I met her the beginning of last year. She is my only current friend at my school, so it is special to have her as well. I feel as if I share more things in common with her than I have with anybody else. We have made plans to do many things for a while, and she has been the one to talk to me most throughout this year. But I have heard from people that she can move on from friends pretty quick, and I am scared of this. Apple is moving into my neighborhood soon, but I am not sure if I should go to the one she is going to, and that is a few minutes away, or the one Pear goes to that is about 35 minutes away (and I live in AZ so it gets really hot in the car). I dont want to make a mistake. If I go to the close school (which has 10/10 while the other one has 5/10), I will be able to walk with Apple to and from school, so I will have a better chance of keeping her and talking to her. So my best friend, someone I spend every waken moment with went to the shower earlier and I snooped through her phone. (Mistake number one) She's dating my friend and I saw she told him something big.. She had a miscarriage (she's 17). I'm 20 turning 21 soon and I feel like a complete idiot because I don't drive myself places. The reason for this is because I don't have my insurance and haven't been able to pay for insurance because my parents won't pay it. I've been trying to find a job but no one is even emailing me. this is silly but i failed my math class this year so i had to take summer school and it cost $250. my birthday is coming up next week and my mom said she wants me to give her money to pay for my birthday gift and she said i had to do that because i ruined my family's summer by failing my class. i know that i ruined the summer but it made me feel really sad because this is my birthday and i thought i could feel special on my birthday this year. this is really silly.

I will try to keep this short, but my apologies if it ends up being a little long: My best friend and I have been friends for just about 12 years - a considerably long amount of time. We live 2 hours away from each other, but we go to the same summer place where we have spent the last 12 years together. It's always been just me and her. However, last year, this girl moved in to this area and we got to know each other (my best friend had went away for a week at this time). Everything was fine, but I had to leave 2 days later, so we really didn't build a very close friendship. When my best friend came back, she stayed for a month, and the two got very close. They both called each other their best friend. Now, at this point, I wasn't really concerned, because me and my best friend were fine. A year later (right now), we're back in this summer place. At first, things were fine. Then, the girl (let's call her Lisa) met up with us and everything sort of shifted. The conversation between the three of us was terribly awkward and I sensed a sort of dislike from Lisa. The next two days, my best friend and Lisa hung out day in and day out. I was away the first day, but the second day, she simply didn't bother to invite me or text me about her plans. Today's the third day, and she hasn't texted me at all (even though she promised to yesterday, with an apology). On her snapchat, there's pictures of her and Lisa. I know I'm acting too attached, but I can't help but feel hurt. Should I just leave them alone or try to hang out with them more? Thanks!

My old friend invited me to go to her beach house with her family for 3 days, but I don't feel comfortable going. It's been bothering me because I asked ,my mom already if I could stay back, but she said," no your dad and I need a break so you have to go. I like her anyways, so wouldn't you want to go?" And the convo ended. I want to ask again but I'm afraid she'll get mad at me. The most I've done with this friend is spend the night, and go on short day activities with her. What do I do? Also, we don't have many of the same interests, so I'm afraid I'll be bored the whole time while my sister gets to stay with my awesome grandparents.

Okay so, one time me and my friend went outside at around midnight with my brothers and their friends, right? Terrible idea already. When I was climbing a ladder to my tree house, I almost fell because it was so difficult. After, my friend took my inside because I felt like I was about to pass out. okay so when I m at school everyone already thinks they know me. For instance they are always talking about how shy I am and things like that. Also all my friends have guys hitting on them left Nd right but when it comes to me they either completely ignore me or only talk to me when they want to ask me something about one of my friends. so my friend uploaded a video of me on social media without my consent, a friend messaged me and told me that she had uploaded a video of me and i told her to take it down, she did take it down. but she then said (name) told you that i uploaded it, i said yes, she then started accusing them of being two faced. but i don't see how he was being two faced for letting me know that i had a video uploaded of me on social media which i didn't approve of. she then messaged my guy friend and started calling him two faced, he told her to shut up and then she said go cut yourself again you attention seeker (he used to self harm). he then became upset so i messaged her telling her that she had taken it too far, now she's going around in school gossiping about me and making me look like the bad one. Some people see it as my fault, but what do you guys think?

I was at a party and after everyone left a few people stayed behind. The few people who stayed like (3 people) not including me or the host of the party. So there was a total of 5 people left in the room. The friend of mine Tom who was the host was cleaning up the room, taking out trash etc. He was sitting at the table with 3 other guys when one of the guys( NOT Tom) pulled out a bottle of marijuana and began to roll it on paper. My friend Tom didn't smoke anything and got up from the table as the other 3 guys got ready to smoke. I Ryan was standing 4-5ft away from the table. Tom went to go finish cleaning and as he was cleaning, picking up trash etc. Tom's other friend the 3 other guys at the table were talking about a time where Tom was high on Pot. The 3 guys didn't say how long ago this incident was.Then my friend Tom said this to me "you can go and smoke with them". When he said them he was referring to the 3 other guys at the table who were getting ready to smoke. I told my friend/host Tom that I don't smoke. That is where my friend Tom responded to my comment by telling me this "good for you I don't smoke anymore." Update: Btw Tom never smoked at all with them that night. But do you think Tom was trying to lie and cover up for himself with that last statement Tom the host is the one who responded to me by saying "good for you I don't smoke anymore." Update: It was after closing at his family owned restaurant. Basically his family threw him a birthday party at his family owned restaurant . I ask about Tom because his 3 buddies were talking about an incident where Tom smoked weed. His family threw him a birthday part at his family owned restaurant. After the party ended everyone left except me and Tom. Then out of the blue 3 of Toms friends showed up. Tom locked all the doors while all 5 of us were in the restaurant. Only door he left unlocked was the side door which is for employees only. That is when the 3 guys whipped out the weed. I never asked him whether he still smokes, but he rushed to tell me that he doesn't smoke anymore after I told him that I don't smoke. Here's why I am suspicious. 3 of his friends spoke about an incident where Tom got high on POT. Ian not sure how long ago it was that Tom got high. I just found it interesting that as soon as I told Tom that I don't smoke he says "Good for you I don't smoke anymore" I mean I never said to Tom do you smoke anymore so why rush to tell me that he doesn't smoke anymore?

There's a girl I like Natalie that I met a few weeks ago on an end of the year field trip to Quebec. Hey guys! I'm a 16 year old black male, and about 5 months ago, I started running about 2 miles a day in my neighborhood. One month into it and one of my close friends, who is a white female (not girlfriend, though she is gorgeous lol) that lives in the same neighborhood, decided that she wanted to join track next year so she asked if she could accompany me on my runs. I was delighted to have her come along and since then, we've made a lot of progress, as we can run 6 miles now without stopping to take any breaks! I live in a predominantly white neighborhood, so the issue I'm facing is that every time we go for a run we get horrible stares. And I don't mean just a casual stare that everyone gives, but people literally stop what they're doing outside, like getting in their car or watering their garden, and they just stare at us with a look of disgust and disbelief as we run. This has happened almost every time we've run, and my friend has noticed and apologized for it. Last night when we ran, this middle aged couple who were sitting on their porch just shook their heads as they saw us run, and the man who was sitting down told his wife, "What the f**k Becky?!" Her dad has also asked her that she stop running with me because "it could be dangerous". I don't feel like running with her anymore. She's great and I love spending time with her, but these looks I get when I'm around her are seriously destroying my self-esteem. Should I stop? I don't want to hurt her feelings.

Hey everyone! I'm currently friends with 2 people who are best friends with each other. Whenever we all hang out, it kind of makes me feel lonely cause they are best friends and I feel like I'm less important. I'm really happy that they are best friends but I feel a little bit odd around them cause they constantly say to each other "You're my best friend and I love you." :/ Is it okay of me to not want to hang around them as much? I feel like I'm just a friend and it wouldn't matter much if I wasn't around. Because they both have each other and as long as they have each other, they're happy. I don't want to be mean but I really hate feeling like the less important friend

My neighbor has lived beside me for years, and we had developed the old "Hey, how are you" relationship. It was the type of relationship where we'd see each other time after time and have small conversation sometimes too. She was just so sweet to me and has the cutest little girl living with her too. Well to the point, we had stopped seeing her for a couple of days, but we thought nothing of it. The fourth of July had just rolled around, people were busy and having fun the entire week so nothing really struck my mind about not seeing her or her little daughter. Recently someone did go into her apartment finding her dead on the floor with her little daughter crying beside her and covered in her mother's blood. It was shocking to everyone and so scary, I never knew what was going on outside. The police asked if we had heard gunshots and I told them no. It was independence day week and firecrackers were bursting for 3 days straight. I actually remember hearing a few "awkward" sounding bang bangs and it makes me feel so stupid to have not been aware of ANYTHING. I really feel as if I could have done something to save her, and I feel completely stupid considering our apartment walls are connected but I never heard a thing that struck suspicion in me. Now her daughter has to grow up without her mother, and my feelings are raging from sad to responsible to anger to confusion.... How would you guys react if you were in this situation or a situation similar to it?

Alright, before I begin I just want to say I know there's others out there who have it A LOT worse than me. I'm not pretending otherwise. But... There are a couple of things troubling me. One is a girl... I was in love with her for two years. She had a boyfriend, and she knew I had feelings for her. We were friends-ish. Lil more than an acquaintance, little less than a close friend. Anywho, a little less than a month ago (a couple days before high school graduation), she did things to me that most guys would consider moves (NON-sexual). I didn't how to react, I embarrassed myself, and we left on uncomfortable terms. It hurt a lot. I know she didn't mean to hurt me, but she did. And sadly there's been at least a part of me that's been bitter ever since. I also don't have a job. Wilson's Leather didn't have my hours and I knew that process took forever. So I decided to apply for Dunkin. But they took a while to get back to me, and at this point in the summer it might be too late to get a job before I go to college. On top of that, something that upsets me is that I'm a sucky driver. I'm actually typing this as I accidentally cut someone off. My parents did a VERY lousy job on teaching me how to drive, or general life for that matter. I mean they provide for me, which I'll always be grateful for. But they've taught me next to nothing, and I don't feel entirely prepared for the world. So I could some prayer (I'm Christian), encouragement, wisdom. I'll take anything...

I graduate high school without really connecting, so I want to meet some twelfth graders to connect with before it's too late. Where can I go and what can I do?
