Question: My Mom is really annoying me? Posted: 07 Jul 2015 12:47 PM PDT I strongly dislike my mom at times, and no, I do not hate her. I'm not going to hate the woman who gave birth to me, raised me, fed me, and out a roof over my head. It's just my Mom and I do not have the best relationship. She invades my privacy, and I can't hide anything from her. I know your thinking 'what the hell would you hide from her', and it's nothing bad. It's just whenever I buy anything, that's mine, she thinks it's hers, even though she never bought it. She'll get mad at me for taking something that 'belongs to her'. She won't hesitate to go through my undergarments, or through my clothes. There's nothing she won't go through! Whenever she cleans my room, I swear, she makes it seem like I committed a crime. Can't she just sweep my room and be done with it? And not comment about everything that's wrong? She's so messy and unorganized yet she talks about my room being so ugly, so bad and I usually tune her out. My mom is over 50 years old and can't decide on which 'husband' she actually likes. She got married late and had a child late, and she cheated on her first husband after having a child with him (my half/step-brother), and then she had a child with my father (whom she never married). She lives with my step-dad, but she still likes my dad. She yells at me when I say I want to visit my own dad, and always talks about how she hates him but in reality, if they meet, she tries to act very kind and loving towards him (without my step-dad around of course). While I don't really want to meddle into her love-life, I don't think it's right. But I obviously can't voice my opinion on that to my Mom. My mom is extremely bossy, and she says 'she doesn't love me' even when she's in a happy mood. We were outside, in the garden when I told her I loved her once, and she said 'we'll I don't'. I never said that word to her again. She doesn't allow me to go to my friends house or have anyone over. And she tries telling me who I can or cannot be friends with..
Question: Aunt forces me to rub her feet? Posted: 07 Jul 2015 12:46 PM PDT This has been happening since last week. I started living with her and her husband last month. I have a foot fetish and she once found a feet magazine in my room. Ever since she's been forcing me to rub her feet threatening that she'll tell other people if I don't. She even sticks her foot up my shirt sometimes! Btw I'm 17 she's 43. What do I do??
Question: I don't know what to do with my life now? Posted: 07 Jul 2015 12:44 PM PDT I'll try to make this as short as possible, but it is a long story. I was accepted into a college with a low tuition, however; since my efc changed I am now blindingly paying double tuition. I decided to wait to tell my mom who was away on vacation at the time. Today she just got home, and I told her. she flipped out for some reason yelling at me for the ordeal. I told her my plan of taking a gap year, and working and saving up. She then freaked out on me again saying I would just be sitting around running up the bills because my job is crappy.Later she came to my room saying I would have to quite my job, get a new one, and start paying rent. I honestly don't know what to do at point. I did so much to try, and go to the cheapest college and save up money for it, but to her it is not enough. I don't want to pay rent to live in the house i was raised in, and as much as I hate my current job it is the only place that has hours flexible enough for me to work. I am only 18 and I feel like everything in my life has been shattered. @Marvinator I don't think you understand. Either way I will be taking a year out as we cannot afford the school anymore. Yes I am calling it a gap year because that is what it technically is. Yes I do want to work and live at home for free so I can save most of my money for college so this same thing doesn't happen to me again. I have no choice of going to school like I mentioned before my tuition doubled, and even with what I had saved there is no way I can afford that.
Question: Do my parents just worry about me? Or are they really being bad? Posted: 07 Jul 2015 12:40 PM PDT Hi. I am 18, and ever since graduation, I feel like my family finally has gotten the chance to tell me to get lost, and they are subtly using it... I have not worked before, and I'm convinced working is important, but the way my parents look at me changing from as their son to as a parasytic leecher in their economy really makes me feel down when I think about it. I am studying, and I will be beginning further studies this fall, but all of this really makes me wonder if that cliched unconditional family love thing is a lie.
Question: Should I report my mom? Posted: 07 Jul 2015 12:13 PM PDT my mom got home from work and just came in my room out of no where and trashed my room threw everything out if my closet and threw my turtle and its tank. she said if anything happens to me she doesn't give a **** don't bother calling her or have anyone call her, she said all I do is make her life miserable I'm only 17 im working two jobs she said if I want to eat from now on I'll have to put money in to eat at home . not to mention she gets $800 a month from my dad from child support which I don't get none of i buy my own clothes, shampoos, pay my phone bill , etc. she's not like this towards my other sisters I don't know why it's only me who's getting treated like this she claims I ruined her life ever since I was born . at this point I don't know what to do anymore she said she was done driving me to work so I'll be wasting more of my money on cabs to get to and from work I just don't know what to do anymore she verbally and physically abuses me when I sleep she yanks off the blankets for no reason and throws a shoe or whatever is near by at me . she even threw my turtle I bought outside while in its tank. she's making my depression come back little by little I honestly need help. my dad doesn't want me either he's remarried with new a new family. also let me add the part my sister is 20 and my mom pays her phone bill and takes her to work daily and never asks from money from her. also my mom always keeps half of my paychecks. can someone help me or give me advice?
Question: My mother is abusive, what do I do? Posted: 07 Jul 2015 12:08 PM PDT My narcissistic mom is physically and emotionally abusive. It's coming to the point where my mental health is completely deteriorating, and I'm having suicidal thoughts over this. Somedays I am fearful of my safety when she rages. Please do not tell me that "You need to respect your mother" or "She has a different way of showing love" or that I'm ungrateful. She truly hates me, and is extremely manipulative and remorseless. I am her human "punching bag". I'm 18 years old and still live with both my parents. I'm going to university for an engineering program in 2 months and my father said he will loan me money for tuition as long as I completely obey my mother. I'm not out of touch with reality and I know I cannot afford it without help , i would need to have worked 10 years at minimum wage to afford everything. I have only been working about a year. Student loans did not help because I am still living with my parents, therefore it is assumed that my wealthy parents will aid me. This is why I cannot call the cops or move out - I need my father's money so I can leave this hellhole. But I'm on my tipping point. If you were in my situation what would you do? Would you continue to deal with it and please her for another 2 months? Would you call the cops or leave home, and throw away your whole future? Or something else?
Question: How to entertain a 14 year old? Help? Posted: 07 Jul 2015 12:07 PM PDT So my little brother is flying over to Bakersfield for a week, that's where I live. But for the rest of that week... I'm not sure how to keep him entertained. And I feel bad. Any tips on keeping him entertained while I'm away?

He was postponed his case 4 seperate times and is given 2 to 3 months before he gets a new court date. The total owed is $11,587.63. I know he is working. |

Question: Is this the right thing to do when someone is extremely rude to you? Posted: 07 Jul 2015 11:23 AM PDT My fiance's family R/S/V/P to my daughters 5th birthday party- which was pretty expensive on a per child basis because it was at an amusement park. They confirmed the day before and didnt show without a call because- they went to the beach instead. While i found it rude and extremely in poor taste. I simply sent them a message stating " sorry, you missed the party- i wish you would have cancelled earlier in the day, as i ended up paying for your children". We will be having a baby shower in October, and I will not invite them based on their lack of respect and courtesy they showed for my daughters party. Is that taking it too far?
Question: My boyfriend never takes my side? Posted: 07 Jul 2015 11:17 AM PDT So I feel let down.. My boyfriend's mom randomly pops up at our door, she always yells at him for very dumb **** "Chris, your car needs new tires WHY THE **** DON'T YOU HAVE NEW TIRES ON"? Like really that's what she yelled at him once before. I told him to tell her not to come back if it's only for yelling like that cause our neighbors can hear it! She then started hating on me and bs for not agreeing with her about his tires being old, so he takes her side over mine all the time! I felt the things she was mad over was none of her business. That car is signed in his name, not her's! And trust me she's done this more then once over dumb crap! Even a few were about bitching what job I should and should not have! So now our puppy growls, I spoke with a trainer about it, and doing what he told me to do. It seems to be working cause he stop doing it. Well my boyfriend lied saying he believed me, then last night admitted he didn't believe me "So pretty much hes been lying for a few months he believed me"! He was then rude and said "Well you know I never seen it sooooo" Now if someone is rude to me he doesn't take my side! My own mom knew how his mom was and my own ******* mom even took my side, but my boyfriend didn't, nor stood up for me when his mom was being rude to me It isn't just these issues, it's with everything that involves him having to "take my side" I've always took his side, and even if he knows it's not my fault he still won't take my side! What should I do?

Question: Should I move to Washington state or stay in Florida?!? Posted: 07 Jul 2015 11:01 AM PDT Okay so I'll give you the details, I'm a girl and 17 turning 18 in december. I live with my family in Florida right now and my grandparents live in Washington, I've lived in wash before with them and I like it. I would move in with them and it'd just be me and there, I'd be like an only child because I have two siblings here. Really important details: I'm not in high school anymore because I graduated. I need a job but can't find one, so I'm literally at home all day not doing anything and it's soooo boring. My parents don't mind if I leave, I'm almost an adult. I feel like going to washington would be a good thing because I could start new and find a job there, or maybe even start college. I want to make new memories and move to the next chapter in life, so I'm thinking washington is the perfect place. But I also love florida and will miss it here very much! Do you think I should stay or go? I'll take any advice.
Posted: 07 Jul 2015 10:57 AM PDT Ok so it's been about 2 weeks now that my sister In law has been with us. She has no where to go since her b.f of now 9 years can't have her living there nor does her other youngest sis want her living at her house simply because my brother in law can't stand her . Therefor she has to stay with us. I'd like to add tht our place is a 1 bd 1 bth house and we have 3 dogs plus on top of everything I'm going to pop at any moment I'm already 8 1/2 months pregnant. The thing about her is she's so immature even though she's the oldest one I'm 22 my husband is 25 and we're newly weds. I don't mind her staying I just wish she had her shot together and either moved in with her bf or just broke up with him already so she could move back in with her parents. When I told my husband i didn't want to stay here to have to listen to her crap and my father in law arguing or her and her bf my husband got really upset. I understand i can't just get my stuff and go to my parents till she figures out what she wants and moves out but I'm already under a lot of stress as it is and this is just unnecessary. I'm not telling her to kick her out I just don't want to brings child into a house thts constantly arguing simply cause of her and her problems. What should I do? I have no idea how much longer she's staying since she herself doesn't even know nor do I want to impose in helping her since she really has no where else to go.
| Question: My brother pulled a knife on me and I pulled a knife on him.? Posted: 07 Jul 2015 10:50 AM PDT He's 18 and I'm 14 and it really pisses me off that he thinks he can do anything he wants to because he's older. When we were younger we used to fight and it would escalate to the point where he would pull a knife on me and point it towards my throat. I couldn't do **** and it just pissed me off. We had a fight recently and he just pissed off so much that I pulled a knife on him. My parents tried to stop me and I was the one getting in trouble. I told them that he pulled a knife on me several times and they don't listen. I could beat the **** of him if I want to but my parents keep getting in the way. | Question: How to handle horrible 7 year old? Posted: 07 Jul 2015 10:39 AM PDT My brother is 7 years old and I am watching him this summer. I had grand plans to do fun stuff with him like Water Park, Movies, etc. He can be the sweetest and best brother at times while others he's a complete monster that does not do as he's told and fights, argues and hits when we get into a major argument or fight. I have tried talking calmly and quietly to yelling until my throat hurts. I have tried getting away from him or putting him in his room and he either follows me or refuses his room. I am going to start taking things away. I need some advice on how to prevent these instances from getting to the point where someone gets hurt or cries and ruins the rest of the day. Thanks for the advice! |

My mother, who i lived with until I was 21. gets jealous and upset when I do fun things with other people like my dad, boyfriend, friends and family. | Question: My little brother always gets me in trouble!!!!!? Posted: 07 Jul 2015 10:21 AM PDT My little brother is 13 years old and he tells my parents everything bad that I do! I have really strict/controlling parents.. They are really bad. They rarely let me go out with friends (18 years old btw), they hold anything and everything over my head to make me do ridiculous chores, and worst of all they don't treat my little brother the same at all. They are wicked nice to him and they let him do whatever he wants while they spend an absurd amount of time monitoring my every move. It's as if I'm a bad kid but I've never gotten in trouble at school or with drugs/alcohol. So I have to go out while my parents are working which would be great except my brother catches me and tells on me all the time. It's beyond frustrating and I've explained to him that siblings cover for each other and it's ok to do that but he continues to get me into trouble. How can I make him be less of a tattle-tale????? |
| Question: I need a place to stay? Posted: 07 Jul 2015 10:20 AM PDT My dads kicking me out. I'm 19, Female and I really don't want to end up living in my car. | Question: My dad is staying in my place and makes me irritated? Posted: 07 Jul 2015 10:14 AM PDT I immigrated to US 5 years ago. 2 years ago my parents came, because their children are here and they want to be close to us. My brother is married and they are staying with him. But recently my dad found a job as a baby sitter in the city where I live and started staying at my place for overnight. He stays even in the middle of the week when he has a day off just to get some rest and save from travel. I get very irriated because I like to have my own place for me in the morning. I have 1 bedroom apartment and he sleeps on the couch. The moment I tell him I want him to give me space, I feel sorry and guilty and beg him to come back. The moment he comes back I become irritated and depressed again. I want to be the type of person that is happy to help people and is happy around people. Maybe that is why I am single? Why can t I feel happy when my dad is around? |

Question: Should i get my own place? Posted: 07 Jul 2015 10:07 AM PDT I moved in with my cousins and their mom has been coming over, SLEEPING OVER mostly everyday. I told my uncle, and he told me to wait two months and then she'll come over less. I agreed that she could come on the weekends only before we moved in. I am having second thoughts. Should I tell my uncle that I will only stay if she stops coming now except for weekends or should I just leave. What should I do? I am okay with them coming over but not sleeping over. I don't care if they sleep one day in a week. What do I do? I can only say something now, or else it will be too late.

Posted: 07 Jul 2015 09:57 AM PDT So he cheated about six months ago, there have been big arguments ever since, me getting dragged into them sometimes :/ recently mum found the woman s number. He had been contacting her! She gave him one more chance but yesterday we found loads of porn mags he had hidden... He has messed this family over so much and can t keep his eyes off other people? | Question: Not sure what i should do in my current situation. should i keep quite? Posted: 07 Jul 2015 09:51 AM PDT OK. So 2 years ago my ex, whom i was still with at the time and we have a son together started sleeping with her co-worker. He is a Married man and has 3 boys. During that time she was still sleeping with me. She did come clean about the situation because she got an STD from him and told me so I could go get checked out myself. We ended up separating but we still lived together for more than a year after. But my point in all of this is that I told her that I no longer would allow her to take my sone to her job because thats where she was sleeping with that guy at. I did not want my son around that place or that man. So I have found out that my son has been there several time without me knowing and she has had this man at her apartment while my son is there. I have told her I do not want my son anywhere near this guy or at her job several times. But she does it any way. I found out on the fourth of July (7-4-15) about this still happening. The way i found out is that i asked my son when he came to my house, how was your time with mom. And he tells me, "Mom says i can't talk about that because you will get upset". So I had a conversation (argument) with her about this man around my son. And her response was You know im a good mother and i would never put our son in danger. So i told her i dont want my son getting used to a man that has his own family at home. Its not fair to my son. i spoke with this man on the phone and asked personally to stay away from my son. He said OK, But she is going to do what she wants. I also asked him why would he do that to his family his response was "I'm not happy". i asked him, what are you teaching your boys and he would not respond. I asked him Is this situation fair at all to my ex, she cant have a relationship like she wants. And he says what am i supposed to do, hurt her by backing away i cant hurt her like that. (WTF SO, my point to all this is that i told her more then a year ago that if she kept bringing my son around him then i would tell his Wife. My question is, Should i follow through and tell his wife or not |
Question: How to tell my mom I want to move in with my dad? Posted: 07 Jul 2015 09:49 AM PDT My mom hates my dad with a passion. When we were little he was a horrible guy so she took us away and now I know nothing about him. Recently my mom has had trouble taking care of my brother and I. Since I am 18 I can make my own decisions but she doesn't want me to leave. My dad has a wife and two kids and a steady job now and he said he'd be glad to have me move in with him for my senior year. We live in Md and he lives in Fl and I hate MD. I've lived in fl my whole life and it is just awful here I am depressed and not happy. How do I tell her with the least amount of freaking out possible? She hates him and if I leave she will probably think I am abandoning them. I am confident he is a good guy now since I've been talking to the family but I could definitely be wrong which would leave me in a pickle. I am sure I am not wrong. How do I tell her please.
Question: Why do some adults complain about video games? Posted: 07 Jul 2015 09:46 AM PDT like seriously there is so many adults today who are nagging on kids because they 'sit too much by the computer' I do sports at least 3 times a week and even to me they complain about i sit and play too much computer, THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THAT, they say 'on our time there was no computer games' soo bad for you, now is that our problems? you adults should learn to respect others interests and hoby, just because you don't play games doesn't it mean we won't. This is getting on my nerves, I don't even play that hell lot of computer, i varie from going out and playing football, go and feed the animals and pets and watch tv. So shut the hell up if u got nothing better to say.
Question: Is it fair that my boyfriend wants to move his son into my home? Posted: 07 Jul 2015 09:42 AM PDT My boyfriend and I have a good relationship. I love him and his child. I make sure he comes over every weekend which he wasn't doing before his father and I got together and I take care of him when he's at my home. His dad moved in with me and a few months later I got pregnant. I'm a student and I work and I have 2 children. My choice was to have an abortion Because he explained over and over why we weren't ready. Now he's decided that he wants his son to move in with us. Not to mention that I fell behind in school after keeping his son for a month and failed a class because 3 kids were to much for me to juggle. I don't think mentally I can handle this. I want to give his son a good family but I don't know if I can take on all of this. I am the only one who takes care of the kids. Am I wrong?

Question: Should I move out and live with my friend's family? Posted: 07 Jul 2015 09:38 AM PDT So I live with two families, my own and my aunt's, and it ends up being 14-17 people in one house. Five children, five other children and four or six adults. Only three of them work, I'm still looking for a job, and we are financially struggling. I go to school with my brother, we are 15, and he is also looking for jobs. We are poor, food and living expenses are too much to handle. My grandma needs help medically. Electricity and water bills are majority of the time off. I feel bad and I real want to be committed to school like music, soccer, acting, math, essays, etc. But I have to be home to help, even when it's not enough. I feel bad and I want to help as much as possible but living so far from a school know is tough also. Also from anything in general. My family is stressed and even going to hand-me-down clothes are no options (and food banks). I am depressed and church is what I love. I can't do anything. My friend and I do things together and we are buddies. She is fine to have me move in, her parents know enough to help me. My mom doesn't care so much, the others won't find it a bother-some. So anything?

Question: Can I get a body webcam for my daughter? Posted: 07 Jul 2015 09:11 AM PDT my daughter is 16 and out of school for the summer. She's always hanging at boys houses and apartments and sometimes at my apartment. Her mother became a druggie when we were young and ended up incarcerated for distributing and using heroin. So as a father, I want to make sure my daughter is safe and to do that I want to be able to look at her from my computer with a webcam. I would require her to wear a webcam at all times but I don't know if this is possible. I also want to record the video to. I am afraid I may find some things that will be hard to watch but I've seen it all and done it all so doesn't bother me.
Posted: 07 Jul 2015 09:02 AM PDT We're both 15 been together for about a month. I've met his dad, but not his mom. He's met both of my parents. Him and his family are going on a trip to the beach, they want to take me with them but I would have to stay for one night. We are not having any sex or anything like that. I'll be with his parents the whole time, his mom and I would stay in a room together (or I'll have my own room). The thing is our parents haven't met, where were going there is no service, and I dont know how to ask them??
Posted: 07 Jul 2015 09:01 AM PDT I called the police on my mother for beating me, choking me and an attempt to throw me down the stairs. All I said was that I wanted to talk as a family about some issues. So, she got angry and said that I had an attitude, but I didn't I never get an attitude with my mother (no eye rolling, voice raising, defensive poses). The main reason why I resisted her commands ( tried to punish me again for crying and saying that I'm pitiful little crybaby)even when she threatened me is because a few minutes earlier my brother caught me crying after she punished me for no reason(she just got off from work and screamed in my face calling me a fat, disgusting pig and that since I didn't wanna lose the weight she's gonna force me. Even after I followed her directions and made sure my room was spotless). I told him about the emotional and physical abuse that I've endured at her hands for years ( getting punched in my head for failing a class or not taking care of my hair or even responding to a question) but he didn't believe me at first and thought I was making mom look like a bad person. So he told me to keep my head held high and to not let anyone oppress you not even family. So I called the police and and I was floored because instead of taking her away from me for beating me he suggests I go. I had no where to go so he just said have a good night and left. I'm sitting here thinking that wow I'm about to be beaten some more and the police don't even care so she doesn't go to jail. I'm 15 years old and have three more years left with my "caring" family.

He's a good guy but ever since they were dating he would try to act like me and my sisters father (even though we have a father who doesn't love far). Like just today, I didn't want my hair done because I like the wavy look on my hair then my mom got mad at me but she just let it go but then her fiancé TEXTED ME that for being so rude to your mother we'll talk about punishments later. WHAT THE HECK?!?!?! I wasn't even being rude to her! I don't want to stop the wedding and I already live with my dad, I don't know what to do at this point. Please help |

Posted: 07 Jul 2015 08:45 AM PDT My husband doesn't see the problem with our daughter wearing clothes that are extremely revealing. And I mean dresses that barely cover her thighs . there just 5 inches from her private area. Shirts that show her chest and are mainly belly cut . and shorts that are barely covering her but. He tells me that she has trust in her that's why its no big deal. But he doesn't understand how guys think and how what u wear says a lot about you ? How can I get him to understand? Also he freaks out if I were to wear clothes like that . he tells me I'm his wife and shouldn't dress like that . is that fair ?
Question: How do I get my family to accept my diet? Posted: 07 Jul 2015 08:43 AM PDT Hi there! I'm a 16 year old guy. Every summer, I give myself a few projects to work on. This summer, I'm writing an economics paper, putting more apps on the App Store, and getting more sales of my Amazon e-book. Also, I'm trying to get a six-pack. According to my BMI, I'm normal weight, but I'm chubby and I want to change. I have insecurities about the way I look. It's not for girls. I just want to feel proud of myself when I dry off after a shower. I'm using the 4-Hour-Body, a popular health book, to help me out. I'm using the slow-carb diet, which mostly consists of lean protein, legumes (beans) and vegetables. I'm a week into it, and people are already commenting about how my face looks thinner and I'm noticing that my clothes fit differently. I'm happy with my progress. My abs are showing more. I have one cheat day. I run 3 kilometers a day because it's relaxing. The problem is that my family's giving me a lot of crap about the diet. We're spending 5 weeks in India this summer (I'm from there). It's the perfect opportunity because we have a cook here, so my mom doesn't have to worry about having to cook an extra meal just for me. The problem is that my family keeps telling me to get off of the diet. It's gotten to the point where my dad looks at me in a very critical way when I'm eating carrots and beans when he's eating rice and my mom rolls her eyes whenever I say I can't eat something. I've tried to stay cool for the past week, but it's really getting to me. I've snapped at my mom a couple times and it's gotten me in trouble. Everyone's got a breaking point, and if I can't get them to stop by being nice, I'm going to be mean. And it's been hard on me too. Every meal, there's some delicious homemade Indian food that's made, and I have to sit there eating lightly peppered shrimp, steamed veggies, and lentils while the rest of my family is digging in. I explain, but they don't understand. My mom keeps telling me that she's admiring my steele, but then she just falls back on criticism. The Indian version of a "healthy person" is someone who's chubby. But I don't like that. I don't want to be as chubby as my dad when I'm 43. If I deal with all this now, I don't have to when I'm older. How do I deal with this? It doesn't stop. My mom says she's a doctor, but she hasn't practiced in 10 years and she used to work in fertility. The guy who wrote the book went to Princeton.
Question: Is it wrong for your cousin in law to put his hand on your lap? Posted: 07 Jul 2015 08:41 AM PDT When I was younger my cousin would tell me to sit in the front seat. Sometimes he would put his hand on my lap while driving. Another time I was tired and he pulled me close to him & said lay right here pointing to his lap. I pulled away is this normal ?
Question: Ugh I'm going crazy in my house! Please someone help? Posted: 07 Jul 2015 08:28 AM PDT I cannot stand living here anymore. My brother is the dumbest human alive! The DUMBEST! All he does is stress us out and cuss and yell at us because of his retarded choices and actions. You can't tell him anything, he doesn't listen to anymore. I'm 14 and I'm smarter than him when it comes to making smart choices. It's getting on my damn nerves I have to listen to him yell at us everyday! Please help, I'm losing my mind! And on top of that, he doesn't help us at all. The idiot can't even flush the toilet! UUUUGH
Question: Is my husband a phoney and a liar? Posted: 07 Jul 2015 08:23 AM PDT We have been married 16 years. we both have children from previous relationships and 2 together My daughter is 23 she is a heroin addict and trying to regain control through medication. I found out that she is over prescribed and sold some of it to an old co worker of my husband's. I told my husband about it and asked him to speak to his "on again off again" friend. I found this inappropriate to engage in this behavior with a "friends" stepchild. My husband came to his defense and said that my daughter is an adult and she knows who and what this person is. I agree she shouldn't be doing this. I know what she is and she doesn't need help to "derail her own train." I flipped it around and asked him "what if he did this with your adult child?" he responded, "that's different." This isn't the first time he came to this "friend's" defense. At one time we agreed not to have this person near our home and kids, I later found out he was coming around. Some time ago, there were rumors at his job that got back to me about my husband having affairs and I dismissed them, Now I wonder if him protecting his "friend" isn't self serving.
Question: I don't want to celebrate my birthday? Posted: 07 Jul 2015 08:16 AM PDT Ever since my Dad passed away just over a year and a half ago I just don't want to celebrate my birthday anymore. His birthday is only a day before mine. I hate that I feel this way but I feel so so guilty if I did celebrate it. My Mom was going to buy a cake and I refused. How do I get past this? I cry so much about him and I can't comprehend how he left me so quickly.
Posted: 07 Jul 2015 08:08 AM PDT I was brought up in a well-off household in South Kensington, and went to a private day school in Westminster. My father was the senior PR at his company and my mother was the daughter of a baronet. Until I reached the age of sixteen, I knew not a single woe. At the age of sixteen, my family lost everything due to a stock market disaster. We had to abandon and sell our things, and moved to a council estate (borderline slum) in South London. It would be a lie to say that my studies weren't affected: my parents argued daily and within a year my mother had divorced my father and remarried into old money. I haven't seen her since. I was unable to continue my studies at the school in Westminster and had to do my A-Levels at one of the lowest-performing comprehensives in the country. Importantly, I realised that many of those impoverished families at the council estate were poor because they were lazy and unruly. It was through my own hard work and intellect that I won a place at Oxford. I relied on loans and grants for my studies at university, but wasn't allowed to work part-time due to academic commitments. Within three years of graduating, I was earning over £50,000 annually. I married a lawyer, and together we established a happy home for our children. But now, my husband is getting into left-wing politics. He supports the Labour Party, and has even abandoned his job in favour for political pursuits. He disagrees with my conservative views, and it's destroying our marriage!
Question: Is my daughter growing up way to fast? Posted: 07 Jul 2015 07:52 AM PDT My 13 year old daughter came to me with what she thought was a problem. She had heard her brother tell his friend on the phone that he was going to spank the monkey. She was afraid he was going to hurt an animal. OH MY GOD. How do you explain to your daughter what her brother was really going to do? I explained to her what he really meant by what he said. That is when I got a BIG SHOCK. She said "If he was going to j**k off, why didn't he just say so and then I would know what he meant". He does that all the time. I must also have a talk with my son about locking the door to his room when he does that. Is my daughter growing up way to fast. Parents, (and teenage girls) please give me some guidance? Isn't 13 to young to know about all that stuff?
