Ok, so I have this pet duck called Guacamole. From the minute I wake up in the morning until the minute I finally fall asleep at night, he makes so much noise. In the morning, I am awoken by his screaming. "IM SO FLUFFY. SO VERY FLUFFY. ANYONE WOULD THINK I WAS A DUCK OR SOMETHING!". It is so irritating, and it always wakes me up before my alarm. He repeats those words on loop until about midday when it changes. At 12, he starts shouting: "I PUKED IN THE FRUITBOWL. I LOVE APPLES AND YOUR MUM LAST NIGHT". This is really hurtful to me. It makes me sad when he talks about my mum. At about 7PM, he begins to follow me everywhere I go, making me jump by whispering in my ear: "Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens." and proceeding to sing the rest of the song. I just wish my pet duck would stop. I cannot sleep at night because whenever I open my eyes he is suspended above me in mid air, glaring down at me. I'm scared! Once, I heard the door squeak, and he was standing outside my room with a kitchen knife. Please help, it's a duck emergency. I love my duck and I don't want to let him go, but I haven't slept in 3 months.

My little sister and I were cleaning the bathroom and I got her talking about headbands and she would not stop talking so I told her to be quiet several times but she wouldn't. Eventually I got so annoyed that I messed up her "cute little bun" that she had and the next thing I know I'm staggering away from her, blood dripping out of my nose. I go downstairs and my dad comes in, gets the story from us, and starts comparing us to the 9/11 terrorist attack saying "They hit us once but we bombed them for years." Then he tells me that she was right in punching me. I was just wondering if it was fair because my dad has compared me to the 9/11 attack before and will no doubt do it again because that's just what he does, he's former Military, Special Forces.

I can't live like this any longer, where do I draw the line? When do I move on and say enough is enough, i cant help someone who does not want my help! I'm 18 and I've felt this way since I was maybe 11. She is so rude and annoying and I cannot even have a conversation with her normally without it ending in an argument. Were on vacation right now and we still have another week left but I can't deal with her! She is always trying to make me feel bad and pick fights with me over the smallest things. Honestly I feel (and have felt since I was younger) like IM the adult. When she thought my dad was being "SO SO MEAN!!!!" To her the other day (when he wasn't at all) I was trying to comfort her whole she was crying. Yesterday when she makes me cry she doesn't stop she just keeps picking at me even more, I feel like she tries to act like a sister to me instead of a mom, even though she's 54! A lot of my friends think she tries to act like a teenager too, she has gotten so much plastic surgery to make herself look younger on her face and she got breast implants from an A to a D, spends so much money on herself for expensive brands and antiaging creams, wears my old clothes and copies my hair and makeup. I also feel ugly around her because everyone thinks she's beautiful (with all her work done, she looks like a different person from when I was 5) and I'm not beautiful. I just hate her attitude so much all she likes to do is argue and get attention and I'm so sick of it!!!

So recently, I've been hit rather hard by people (parents) saying things that shouldn't hurt me, or getting upset over things I know I deserve. For example, a couple weeks ago my mother said, and I quote, "if you fail, I'll swing for you!" in regards to school and I spent the rest of the day crying about it and being scared of her. Secondly, my dad told me I have caused, still cause and will continue to cause a lot of the arguments between him and my mother and the thought that said arguments are my fault are eating away at me. Finally, just now my mother called me a spoiled brat because I was annoyed that her bike was in the way of me getting milk for my cereal (she knows I'm too weak to move it) and I went upstairs and flew into a rage about how I'm literally nothing to her (Another quote from a couple years ago "I don't want her"; said to my dad aftrr an argument I caused.). I know I deserve a lot of this, so why am I being so sensitive about it?

Basically yesterday she told me my brother was better (indirectly) and that me and her can't get along, and I cried and yelled at her etc. Today she's talking to me normally, she's happy and cheerful. I feel worse now because 1) She never listens to what I say. 2) This confirms that she doesn't give a cr*p. Help. :(

So for example, I needed a notebook for my language studies. (I may be an exchange student, so I am learning a new language so I needed a notebook to learn Spanish.) She bought me a 7$ dollar notebook, (I wasn't there.) and then we saw one that was way nicer and in quality with more pages for 1$. I feel so bad and guilty about it. When she buys me stuff I feel so guilty. It's eating me up.

I m the eldest of four which usually means I m the one that insults their siblings in a jokey manner but I find myself quite often being insulted by a family member whether it be my mom or siblings and it s usually just for laughs but it s been going on for so long to the point it s getting harder for me to brush them off and laugh....I don t want them to think I m too sensitive or something of the like so I don t want to tell them that they are hurting me but it s getting unbearable ..Help?

I went to visit my sister and last day my sisters and her hubby are working and the nannys over. The baby wakes up and I ask the nanny if I can see him for a bit. She acts weird then gives him to me "reluctantly". Were playing downstairs then she comes to clean and is projecting all this negative energy at me doing things super fast and also Giving me rotten mean dirty looks almost like she's a damn psychopath. She has no right to do this. I just want to play with the baby. Is this red flag stuff.

I just need somewhere to rant, but help would be appreciated. My sister is 3 years older than me and pitched a fit to get her dog. I already have a dog. Now, her new dog was housetrained when we got him, but since she never took him out, he is now un-housetrained. So, my dad usually goes to work at 6 in the morning and she decided to sleep in until like 2. So I'm the person that cleans up her dog's crap and takes her dog out. Then she'll come down stairs and get mad at me for taking her dog out, claiming I never look after my dog, then takes her dog out for like 10 seconds then brings him back in. I ALWAYS have to remind her to take her dog out. Also, she never cleans up her messes. She leaves her dirty dishes in the sink leaving me to unload the dishwasher every single day and clean them up. She hits me for no reason and then she'll say, "OH NO. I promise I did not mean to do that." Like what the ****? Have you lost control of your arms or something? If I try to hit her back I get in trouble. Speaking of trouble, she never gets in it. I'm always the one she blames things on and it works most of the time. I get yelled out and she sits there with this little smirk on her face. If her blaming the stuff on me doesn't work, she goes into a crying fit and my dad stops being mad. She's like a toddler. If she get's her phone taken away she'll start crying and she gets to keep it. She is a TEENAGER for god sake and she acts like a 2 year old.

My father has always been strict and unintelligent. After I just came from medical school, he started small fights with me over insignificant things. He is doing this 4-5 times a day. Before he would just fight with my mum everyday, but now he is fighting me. He is calling the police constantly for no reason. Every time the police just tell him that he doesn't have a reason to call them. Instead he should tell me to leave the house. My mum tells him not to whenever she finds out my father has called the police. I am financially dependent on him, and it is getting very difficult because I am resitting an exam in 4 weeks. What should I do? My older sister also did suicide, she was having trouble in university. Right now it is clear to me that my father pressurised her too much. But right now, the pressure my father is giving me is quite substantial. I am starting to have suicidal thoughts. I am trying to get help, but my father finds ways to remove it. For example, he took money away from my credit card when I went to the Councillor, he took away my travel card. He does this on 2nd visits. He is also unbelievably controlling. He listens to whatever call I make. How should I react with a father like this? It is so bad that he does it in public now. I think he is borderline insane, but I (and my family) rely on him. okay so my mom has been dating him for about 1-2 months and when they were only dating for like the first week it was fine, but now i absolutely hate me... In the first week, he would barely come over to my house and would never spend the night, now he is here almost everyday and everynight. My family is all jamaican. I'm the only girl of 3 boys and my dad is very strict and very old school. I was adopted into what seemed to be a nice family with my brother. However as time passed this was not true. They enforced strict rules that made no sense and my brother acted out. He had severe anger management issues so he got arrested several times on account of domestic violence. However it was in retaliation to physical abuse from my father. After a couple arrests my brother was removed from the family and i wasn't allowed to talk to him. That was freshman year. With my brother gone my parents turned on me. Dozens of visits from child services, suicide attempts, and lots of rules later I'm on my senior year. I am a good student enrolled in all A level classes all through hs. Some honor too. My senior year I'm taking 4 Ap classes. I am currently being kicked out at 18 which is October of my senior year. I will be juggling adult life and high school at the same time. I have never done anything illegal like my brother did i have a perfect record with teachers and adults. Its just i struggled to hand work in because what was going on. I currently have a 3.3 gpa but it will be higher by the end of senior year.

my dad just went back to work after having his vacation. When he's home everyone has to be quiet, he doesn't like to hear other's talking. I recently had my first baby 2 mnths ago and iv learned it is a lot of hard work and sometimes stressful to take care of a new born. I find myself constantly cleaning the house all the time alone. I have a 15 year old step daughter who doesn't like to clean and not just from my observations it came out of her own mouth as well. She will leave dishes in the sink for days . and I am the type to like my kitchen clean before we go to bed ? My husband says that the dishes in the sink is something so small to be complaining about and he gets upset with me . But I try to tell him that I'm the only one cleaning and I ask him to tell her to at least wash her dishes in the sink . he always has an excuse for her . she's tired, she went to bed late. One time she left a pot on the stove for 3 weeks. I refused to clean it because she is ALWAYS making tea and leaving the pot on the stove as always I would always wash them but that time I didn't just to see how long it will be there . 3 Weeks. She will only clean unless she's forced to. And the dishes is as far as I got with her cleaning anything . I sweep, mop, clean the bayhroom, everything . all by myself . he says I'm making a big deal ?! What do you think ? Am I wrong for wanting some help . oh also if I tell him to tell her to do dishes or put dishes away sometimes he will say those aren't her dishes to wash or put away. Also she's never taken the trash out since we've moved in this new house. Which was 4 months ago. HELP!!

I have had a really bad back round. My father beat the hell out of my mom, sister & me. After I was two my parents split. Then my mom started dating this guy that just came out of the army, and once again he beat us for no reasons. And after seven years living with him, my mom had the guts to break up. She hated what he did to us but she was scared he was going to hit her so she left it. Now my mom is married to my step-dad. But the problem is that I can't trust any men anymore. I'm scared that one day he is going to beat us as well. At night I can't sleep, during the day I'm dead cuz I havnt had sleep. I've been keeping the past with me, I can't let it go. It's always stuck in my head, never wanting to leave. And a couple of days ago I've started to drink. I never use to but because everything is just not leaving I want something to take it away. I've talked to people and I've done all those things but nothing is helping. I hate going to school cuz all the guys want to high five or something and now i start to flince and they now starting to make fun of me. How do I forget what has happened and move on with my life?

My brother and I are back from university for the summer holidays but my parents completely favour my brother over me. They treat him with respect, they'll never shout at him, my brothers so horrible to me and I'm always the bad guy and will get into trouble. It sounds bratty, but I've been disappointed most birthdays and Christmases for quite a while from my mother. She always asks what I'd like, I give her several detailed and broad options at varying costs. Last birthday after giving my list, she asked what Script gift card I'd like. That's a program where like 2% of the cost goes towards my neices tuition. It's a pretty limited list of gift cards, and when I didn't particularly care for any she got angry. Last Christmas after asking what I wanted, she asked if I wanted pajamas. I said no thank you, I'd rather pick out my own and try them on. A couple days later she asked what pj size I wear. I said again that I'd rather pick out my own and try them on. And I got pj's for Christmas. She also bought hair stuff from my cousin who just entered beauty school. I've never been girly, always used cheap shampoos. She got me salon shampoo. I feel like it was more a gift for my cousin than for me. But then I feel so bratty! I should be happy to have a mother, and get gifts regularly. But I don't feel like she's thinking about me. Why does she ask for ideas if she just picks something different? I'd rather have a 25¢ toy from a machine if thought was put into it, than pajamas that I repeatedly said no thank you to. I say thank you and everything properly when I get these things, but then later I mope and throw it into the back of my closet. My birthday is coming up and she'll ask what I'd like soon. How do I get into a better mood?

My brother wants to go skiing over winter break. I want i go to this amusement park called kings island over summer. Our parents say we can only do one of those. We go skiing every winter and I have to admit, its pretty fun, but i haven't been to kings island in years. As a amature writer/comic artist I'm often wondering about things that I've never personally experienced and how normal they are. One thing that has been buging me recently is this. ^Question above^. I ve recently learned that sibling can kiss on the lips, at least if that is how they were raised and it's just a quick peck with no "ulterior" intenetion behind it. But most examples are for sister and brother with a couple saying sister and sister and only one or two that slightly mentioned brother and brother. So for those of you whos family alows/supports family based kissing on the lips how common is it for brothers to do this (as in if they do it or don't. Not how often they do it)? I cant afford my own place yet. They always give me slack about that all I do is waste their money even though I work and try to save up money for college. Also whenever I ask for a ride they say "You pay for the gas" The tank is full but when they drop me off they still want be to give them gas money. They're just really big assholes to me. The gardener is more of a parent to me since I hangout with him all day! When its break time me and him go out to eat. I pay for my food of course but he doesn't want me to give him gas money. My parents ignore me because when I asked my mom for some help on my homework she says "I thought you're going to college. How are you going to college if you cant even do your homework" I don't answer back because that'll just start an argument. My dad never lets me do anything either. Hi all. I am a 40 year old woman...I am still being manipulated by my mother, who lives on the other side of the country from me. Since I was a child, I have been parenting her. She has always demanded so much attention, wants to be #1, has no room for allowing me to give other people attention, always negative, every conversation is exhausting. When I call her everyday (yes, every day), the entire conversation revolves around her. Her arthritis, her past, her lonliness (she chose to move away), my ingrate of a brother, her ingrate of a sister, how broke she is, how sick she is,...etc..it goes on and on...I have a headache just writing this. She has never shown any interest in my kids. I have child with a severe disability...When she calls, if my child is making noise in the back ground, she actually tells me to "shut her up", or "walk away" ...My child can't talk, so noises are all that can be expressed. Instead of saying, "oh, you sound tied up, call me when you can", no ..she gets pissed,and then ignores ME, when I say.."no, they can't shut up, and that's not really nice to say".I'm tired of her..she raised me and my brother on her own, but it's because she made poor choices that we had to pay for and are still paying for. Emotionally and financially. I send her money weekly, but every time we talk, she's got money issues....I just don't know what to do...she will never see my side, because she's not emotionally stable. I don't want to cut her off. She is my mom I wish I could just call once a month, but my conscience gets the best of me

Hello, I m a 15 year old who is visiting my dad. My mom are dad are divorced and no one told me I had the choice to go with my dad or not. I didn t want to go with him. My mom just bought me a ticket and said you re going with your dad, then said I was staying for ten days. It s been a month since I ve been with my dad. According to the court or whatever, they can t force me to see a parent unless I want to. I didn t know I had that choice. Now I don t know when I m coming home, is there any way I can go home? Like talk to a CPS worker or something?

Firstly, i'm 15, he's 14, i've known him for around 5/6 years now, at first everything seemed fine, he was staying with his step-mother at the time, she takes drugs, but never done anything that would jeopardise his safety. After knowing him a year, he moved back home with his father, it didn't look to bad a first. A short time later, my friend and i stopped talking for a full year. He got in a lot of trouble, hung around with the wrong people, he was out to 4-6 am, sometimes all night. Anyway, about two year ago i made contact with him again, we met up, he told me everything that's happened, he hasn't hung out with them since we made contact. He still lives with his father, who is a HEAVY drug addict. He made my friend recently deliver drugs, and collect money, his father told him that 'he was helping the police' but that's utter bull- ****. My friend isn't the sharpest tool in the box (he was born with some neurological disorders caused by his biological addict mother) so he would believe anything you say to him. My friend was in tears whilst he told my mother what his father was making him do. He has social services in his life, even put on the child protection register, then taken off, apparently. He also has an eating disorder (his father also has one, there isn't much food in his house now.) He was always skinny, but he's even more skinner, and complains of a sore stomach after eating anything that he'd otherwise have no problem eating. Recently he hasn't been attending school due to sickness, his father is forcing him to go to school, because he doesn't 'want him taken off him' i know for a fact he wouldn't care. I forgot to mention he's an unemployed bum. if his son was taken off him, his child benefits would be stopped. He made my friend deliver a 20inch machete-type blade to a pub he was at. My friend stayed with me for 6 months, his father didn't even care. I really, really want to help him. he has no support whatsoever from his father, he neglects him, sometimes doesn't come in all night. i can see the affect it's having on him. At his house, some nights there are other addicts there, he sent me a video he secretly recorded, this other addict asked him if he wanted a 'fag' (cigarette) My friend has made his fair share of mistakes, but for now i've kept him on a straight road so far, he isn't getting into trouble anymore. As of right now i'm teaching him how to code, he wants to make an app, i'm trying to occupy most of his time so he won't be out causing trouble. I want him to live a successful life, no criminal record, nothing. it's going to be hard since almost everyone in his family are druggies, and have criminal records. There hasn't been a day where i've seen his father not high. He also drinks. He'll be 15 in September. At 16 he can legally move out with his parents permission. But i don't know if it can wait. Everything is turning to crap for him, and i mean everything. the lack of support or encouragement from his family is really effecting him. His Social Worker comes to see him every Thursday, i was thinking about slipping him my number then explaining to him everything that's happened. He needs out of that environment. I don't care if i don't see him again. I just want to know he'll be safe.

Like my mom never wants to go anywhere or do anything. I'm not complaining but it's so annoying and I can't stand it anymore! All she ever wants to do is sit and watch tv 24/7 or sleep, she never takes us anywhere, she never takes us out to eat or to fast food. I know most of yall would say she's probably just stressed out and just wants to relax but she's not, she has the weekend and Monday off and she just sits around and does nothing on all those days, then she goes to work and plays around with her friends. I can't stand this anymore I'm 14 and ya I'm to young to be complaining and I should have respect for my mom, but I literally CANT WAITTT until I'm 16 and I can drive and actually go have fun for once in my life, because she shuts it off for me. I'm a 24 years old gal from a South Asian country. My parents don't allow me to do anything. I know this ridiculous . But this is true and I have no one to talk this about as in my country people take parents side too much. I'm not allowed to drive, do shopping , buy clothes that I like, do a job, have friends, get educated or anything. Basically I'm trying to do year 12 exam right now ! (I know it's ridiculous) and my parents don't support me for my education. When I ask what should I do without educating and getting a job, and having no friends, then they tell me they have money saved and they will give it to me. ( just to survive from that money) they are getting old now and I'm so afraid of my future. I don't know whether I should call police on this issue. And I don't know whether they will support me as they will also be biased on this issue. If I ran away from home I will end up with no job no food or probably get caught to an abuser. I'm so depressed and feel like killing my self so I can get out of this situation. Please help! *my parents are educated and did respected jobs. I can't move out as the low does not allow it in my country. Even though I leave I will not be able to get a job without education. Or I'll be get caught to a dangerous people around in this society. I stopped hanging around my father because his fiancee is crazy. In a previous question, I described most of the things she likes to do (has a list of my family's SSN and previous addresses, is cruel to my niece and mentally disabled sister, etc.) I did everything possible to make this work for my dad, but even he wants her gone. She does things to try and make him lose custody of my niece if she feels she isn't the center of attention or he tries to put her out. Now that I don't come around anymore, she finds other ways to start drama. The other day, she raised hell because she logged into my father's Facebook and saw I tagged him and my mother in a status about how thankful I am to have good parents because she said I made it look like she isn't in the picture. She runs random background checks on me and even made the statement while I was on the phone with my father that she knows when I get paid. For my birthday, my dad gave me $1,500 and paid my car note for two months. She flipped out and started amping up her crazy actions to keep my dad away from me. She only wants him to be around her family and even starts unnecessary drama with my mother and my sister's mother. My dad couldn't even visit me in the hospital without her prank calling us and starting drama at the hospital. I've separated myself and she's STILL being crazy. What else can I do?

I am a teenager now and my parents just had a baby around 2 years ago. My initial reaction was "Great, that's just what I need." My mother's pregnancy was.. rocky. It stressed her and I's relationship a lot. Finally when the baby was born, I was the happiest thing alive. I was always around her and couldn't get enough of her. Then as she started getting older, I had less time to see her get older because I was so involved with school, friends, and sports. She started becoming in better "friends" with my younger sister. The time I did actually get to see her, was at 9 p.m. and by that time I was cranky, sweaty, stressed, and tired. All I wanted to do was play on my phone and eat. I guess that's where all the negative interactions started. Until recently, I decided I'd be there more for her when she grows up. I spent 3 weeks really knowing her. But this week, she can't stand me. Every time I'm around her she screams and cries, and I end up getting so frustrated at her that Scream and cry at her. That's ridicules right? How could a teenager be so hateful towards her sister? Is that normal, to yell at a baby? I don't know. My parents aren't helping, they think I'm just not useful and I'm really trying to be. So I decided to give up and say I don't care and that I don't like my sister. That's so far from true really. I've never been so hurt and rejected in my entire life. What do I do??
