I hope for those of you out there who have experienced and or are currently in a long distance relationship (ldr) wouldn't mind helping me please. My husband and I are currently in a ldr. Before we got married we were also in a ldr as well. To be honest, I don't even know how we managed our our ldr, I try to think back and what I can remember is at times it was difficult but we still managed. I know we will be able to do this but, I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions, thoughts, ideas, helpful advice etc to make our ldr a bit easier? The time difference between my husband and I is, my morning is his night and, my night is his morning. We text and video chat but there is only so much we can talk about. Sooner or later we run out of things to talk about, it can be difficult because we want to talk with each other but, the conversation will sometimes just be how are you, how'd you sleep, simple questions. This woman at a church told me off and told me not to talk to her or message her, email specifically. I never messaged her again and she's a church lady at a Christian Church. I feel like they are hypocritical and wolf in sheep's clothing. I'm sick of them. So after she told me off. I have not spoken to her again and she would act like nothing happened and she would still talk to me in person! I want to tell her off and tell her to not speak to me again, either tell her in person or message her. I talk to her daughter but I think if I told her that, this woman would tell her daughter to not speak to me again. It's super annoying to have someone tell you off and then They talks to you still? Hi my boyfriend and I have been dating for almost a year and a half now and we got into a conversation about breaking up but it was light hearted. I know we are weird like that. He told me that he could see me breaking up with him over text, which offended me because I would never do that, especially since we have been dating for a long time. I respect him enough that if I ever were to break up with him, I would do it face to face. So then I asked him if he would break up with me over text. And he said that he probably would because he would not want to see me cry because it would make him upset. I found this really messed up that he would do this. Even if it all is hypothetical, I can't help but be hurt that if he breaks up with me he would do it over text. It makes me question how mature he is and if he respects me. I don't know why this is bothering me so much but I need to hear other people's opinion on this. Am I getting worried about nothing or should I be concerned?

He has gotten so busy with work and under a lot of stress he feels that he's neglecting me and believes that it will be best for the good of both of us. We both still love each other but he feels he has no more time for a girlfriend and feels bad. I still love him very much. He says if he ever feels the need to he'll break up with me. We are currently still together as of now. I told him I am happy as he still manages to call me daily but there are times I wish he could spend time with me. I joined this club at my university, and I've been noticing an older member who keeps saying hi to me. For example, before our club meetings, he'll say hi to me, but not the other new members. There's a lot more this to question, but it's too much for me to write.

Ex bf waited to leave church same time as I did almost like he waited for me to leave to also come out. I was going down the stairs, I turned around he was behind me. My story: up till now I understand that we can still be together and love each other even if we don't see each other there are times I miss those days when we always see each other so at first I feel neglected but now I understand bc of his job and moving he's tired he just want his time to himself and to relax when he's off. In elementary school there was this girl in my class who teased me about my dark skin & looks , When i got to middle school it was tough because i was getting bullied so bad sometimes I'd tell my parents I was sick just to stay home , Kids would make fun of the way I look and say I'm too dark I even got called a black ugly slave before the guy I had a crush on in middle school use to sit behind me in class and make jokes about my looks and say "Damn you are one ugly girl" imagine sitting by yourself in a cafeteria full of kids and teachers and you're sitting by yourself because nobody wants to sit with you.. Every single day I had to deal with that and now that I'm older I deal with it too , I've deleted all of my social media accounts because all the girls on there are beautiful and then there's me who's not. When I was in school I stayed in the counselors office because I would have days where I would go to the bathroom and just look at myself in the mirror calling myself ugly and saying to myself "You're fat , Ugly ," I sometimes think about those tramatic experiences and cry. I don't like doing date nights with my boyfriend at all because I'm paranoid people are staring at me saying to themselves "Ew wtf is that she's ugly asl" I've experience that all of my life.. and to make matters worse I have a disability and people always notice so I still get stares I feel ashamed of myself.. i avoid my own reflection I hate it..

I was at this restaurant/bar tonight getting dinner. I was sitting at the bar, and I noticed one of the bartenders kept flashing me little smiles now and then. She was reasonably attractive and I would look back at her every now and then and give her a smile. Eventually she casually said "What's up?" to me, I just responded not much and asked her how her night was going, blah blah. When I got ready to pay the bill and leave, the original bartender that had been serving me disappeared. She noticed I had been waiting a while so she gave me the bill instead, and then told me that she asked the manager if she could discount my meal since I had to wait. I thanked her, paid it, and then she said "thanks for being so cool" and told me to drive safe. Should I have asked her out, or at least told her that I found her attractive? In the moment I didn't really think about it and I'm a little shy so I was kind of hesitant but now I'm sort of kicking myself.

Hi, I'm just trying to get opinions on what a guy is thinking I guess lol. So I go to this gas station often where this guy I think is kinda cute works. I notice when I go in there that he'll stare at me and I mean it's kinda weird lol. I often go to the gas station with my mom. Yesterday my mom went by herself and he asked her if I was her daughter. And then I left because it was just awkward, saying to have a good day and I left. I feel bad that I left but at the time it was so awkward and I didn't know what to say. It was also weird he told her I was great but told me he told her I was pretty lol. Do you think I should be creeped out by it? Do you think he's upset I left? Sorry this is so long lol

I m just not sure why they would just be straight forward with them by becoming friends first, and then focusing on a possible relationship later on if it ever leads to it. But, the risk of rejection makes them feel nervous. Also, maybe just starting out as friends would be a better idea in the long run rather than telling someone that they like them.

I am in a coed fraternity at my university and I'm starting to notice a guy who always says hi to me. After initiation, the brothers gave all of the rushing candidates an acceptance letter, and the guy this question is about, gave me mine. (I don't know if he chose to give me mine, because he's not my Big). Anyway, he always says, "Hey, (my name)" or "what's up" during meetings. The following might seem weird a little but it is true and I really want an answer... So I am 21 years old male who studies in a college and I live in a small apartment near the collage I am studying in ... A while ago a family moved to the apartment next to mine ... Nothing seemed odd late 30s man, his wife and two daughters one 17 other 10 ... After a round four hours I found her thanks to a picture I kept showing people I know like shop owners or what have you ... When she saw me she immediately came running and told she was scared hell and explained her situation by telling me she was watching kittens in a pet shop when she realized her family has already lost her ... I called her father and told him I found her and asked him to head to the hotel and that I would take his daughter home and that is what basically happened I took her back to the hotel and her family was just outside worried about her ... The father thanked me a lot and offered me to have dinner with them but I told him that I have an exam the day after and I had to study he just apologized for the time and effort that his daughter caused me but again as the gentleman I am I told him there is no reason to thank me since it is my duty for my neighbours.... For the first time in my lame life I felt like a hero ... But The thing is while time has passed the girl started to get close to me like she would come "check" on me regularly asking if I am okay or if I need help with anything and she gave me a plate of whatever they were cooking and she somehow found my Facebook account and sent me a friend request which I accepted obviously cuz why won't I do ... Me and my boyfriend were walking a few days ago and he asked if the relationship was going too slow since we saw a couple holding hands yet we've never held hands nor kissed and we've been together for about 5 months. Okay , firstly i know this is awful and its very much unlike me. And i know this might just end bad but I am so attracted to this guy and been craving the passion and desire that i don't care. He is a tutor in college and tutors me (we are both same age).
