Posted: 27 Nov 2018 05:44 PM PST My best friend started dating a 21 year old dude and she left home to live in his little apartment in LA 2 hours from our home. She quit going to school, has no job or source of income, no phone, and her parents are so messed up they're just allowing this. She has since gotten into taking pills, partying every night, sleeps til 5/6pm and I'm seriously worried. Her parents are literally crazy and have their own issues so I don't want to talk about it with them. Is there any legal action/ social work action I can take? I seriously stopped being her friend because she tried to bring me into the scene so I'm not doing this to cause drama. I want her parents to take care of her so she can go to school or start doing something with her life. How would I go about this, and is there even anything I can do? |
Posted: 27 Nov 2018 05:36 PM PST My best friend says not to sound like I do not like her, but she is driving me crazy, always whining about the job. She hates it. Complains to me about not taking enough calls. I can't control how many calls come in. She interrupts me all the time about stupid things. She is full time. I am part time. We have a quota to meet. This is distracting me from meeting my quota, as I believe she has met hers by the time I get in at 2 pm. She keeps saying is it 5 pm yet. I've had enough of this, meaning the job. Obviously she hates the job, and lets everyone know. She is loud on the phone, I even heard her yell at some of our customers. |
Posted: 27 Nov 2018 05:20 PM PST something original first? Forget that "flattery thing". It's more like a competing thing! Do you have this going on? |
Question: Is Having 8 FRiends Enough For Everyone In General? Posted: 27 Nov 2018 04:33 PM PST Okay I am Someone Who Wants To Have 8 FRiends That are Male Like Me and My Age But I Would Like To Know If Me Having 8 Male Friends Is Enough |
Question: My friend hates Christmas, what should I do? Posted: 27 Nov 2018 03:04 PM PST I have a friend at work who doesn't celebrate Christmas. When I asked why, she said that the world would be a better place if everyone focused on technological advancement. I want to invite her to celebrate Christmas with my family since she lives alone, and doesn't have a family or other friends. What do you think I should do? |
Question: When a woman does these things for a man she knows? Posted: 27 Nov 2018 02:57 PM PST Let's say she gives him dating advice, gives him tips on where to look for work, tips on where to look for an apartment, invites him to her place, and says she wants to hangout. Should he take her word for it when she says she just wants to be friends? Or is there more there? |

Question: This guy makes me feel very self conscious, so you think he is doing this intentionally? Posted: 27 Nov 2018 02:16 PM PST So there's this guy i never talk to, we know eachother as we are in a lot of classes together but we're not friends or anything. He always looks at me and when I catch him, he looks away. He doesn't even make it subtle or anything. He also laughs at me (or so i think he is, he's always looking at me and laughing after his friend whispers to him, even if i'm not in his line of sight) it makes me feel very self conscious as if i look weird or he's laughing about me for some reason. I don't know if he's doing it intentionally, or if he's subconsciously doing it? what do you think? |
Question: How to sneak into senior formal? Posted: 27 Nov 2018 12:36 PM PST HELP. I forgot to by a ticket to my schools winter "prom". It is at a yacht club and I was already asked and said yes to my date. I really want to go because its my last year of high school and I love getting all dressed up. I asked one of my friends who is on the committee and he told me it is too late to buy a ticket. The thing is there is no ticket, they just put your name on a list. My friend told me he couldn't put me on the list because the portal for it closed. How can I sneak in? I was thinking of just saying they must have forgotten to put me on the list and my mom could cover for me if they called her. |
Question: Bad Prank/Birthday Gift. What should I do? (Am I over-reacting???)? Posted: 27 Nov 2018 12:27 PM PST Thanksgiving fell on my 18th birthday this weekend so my friends decided to throw me a surprise party which was mainly us guys playing a ton of video games during the day and doing a lot of stuff we weren't supposed to at night. I later found out that they had spiked my drink with something (they wont tell me what) and legit hired a hooker to "pop my cherry" as a man. I dont remember any of what they are talking about but for whatever reason they decided to take a video. Throughout the video Im pretty much passed out and they are pouring drinks on me and yelling for this strange woman to "violate him". I was super disturbed and they were making it out like I was over reacting and being ungrateful. I havent been around them much since but it almost seems like they dont want anything to do with me anymore, anyway. Part of me gets their position and how they might have though it was funny, and it might have been if I was awake, not drugged , aware and remembered what happened. I obviously dont want to press charges against my friends but I dont know where to take things from here. I was tempted to tell my parents but I didnt really know what to say or how theyd take it. I wont be drinking again till I'm 21. this whole weekend has been a f-ing nightmare. Any productive advice would be appreciated but please dont be mean. |

Question: How do I make new friends as a junior I’m highschool? Posted: 27 Nov 2018 11:42 AM PST I've been going to the same school district my entire life. I've made my friends in 7th grade and I've always felt like they were the best and I loved spending time with them, but now that I'm changing as a person and trying to be the best I can be and I feel like the people I hang out with just aren't right for me, and because I'm in 11th grade everyone is already in their own clicks and might I say not very inviting to new people. How do I make new friends when I'm still surrounded by all the same people I've been for the past 5 years. |
Question: Is she a fake friend ? Posted: 27 Nov 2018 11:19 AM PST She always ignores me at school but acts like my best friend outside of school . Others say she talks a lot behind my back but she says it's not true what's your opinion? |
Posted: 27 Nov 2018 10:14 AM PST Me and my friend were considered one of the losers in the school. One time my classmate sent the list that has all the students in the class on a whats app group. She didn't write my name or my friends name. When my friend asked why she answered that we both are useless infront of all my classmates. My friend told me what happened on the phone because fortunately I wasn't on the group because I left it. Ps: Classmate is a girl, me and my friends are guys |

Question: Kid threatened to get a hitman to shoot me? Posted: 27 Nov 2018 09:19 AM PST This kid got in his feelings in school when I was betting that I'll give you my other shoes if you beat me in a game and if I win I get his headphones. We was going to play tonight. I didn't shake on it though. So he started texting me and stuff threatening me on Instagram and stuff and he took a picture of his gun, sadly I blocked him then unblocked him so I couldn't see the messages no more I ignored his messages. Next day (he's in my class ) I went to class he was mad about to punch on me when the teacher was in the hallway I ran then came back we spoke about it then he was like "You know what, I'm getting a hitman on you" I acted like I didn't care and yes he knows where I live. I don't want to snitch cause it'll make it worst and I don't know if he will or not. But yeah I'm scared idk if his "hitman" gonna jump me or shoot me they can do anything to me. Idk what to do what should I do?!?!? |
Posted: 27 Nov 2018 08:58 AM PST THis guy we met at gym and knew eachother and went out together for 4 months then were together for a month. He texted me all day, bough me very nice presents for my birthday and girlfriends day (800 dollar purse), took my to nice restaurants, made me soup when I was sick etc. He knew I was a virgin and waiting until marriage. He had doubts because few guys were intersted in me at the gym and one day I didn'ttext him after the gym he texted 3 hours later etc he suspected I was out, because a trainer at the gym held my hand one day and I told him. Anyway, he was acting annoying and since he got upset that day where I didn't offer to ask him if he'd come to the gym that day with me he has suspicions. So another day I did ask him but he was working and I got annoyed and said if i ask you say you're working and if I don't you get upset, and this led me to breaking up with him. I went on a trip and got back, weve interacted here and there at the gym, hes texted me a couple time saying he's happy about my new job and that things are going well and another time just a random exccuse to ask if i've been going to yoga on a saturday but he hasn't mentioned the past at all or tried talking to me about it. When I ended it I said I was done with his attitude and he said there's no attitude but if you're done okay. Does this mean he just wasn't into me or was trying to get into my pants despite what me saying I was waiting until marriage? |
Question: Do you find this as disgusting as I do? Posted: 27 Nov 2018 08:36 AM PST I am a college student. In one of my classes we were told to do a class project the would "Enhance our knowledge of the world". We choose a project that was a test. The athletic director of the college, a guy, had an opening for an assistant. My classmate Betty is very flat chested (A cup). We had Betty apply for the job. Betty has an A grade point average. She has volunteer coached several college sports teams and has been a player on several college sports teams. She had a resume that detailed all her sports experience. Betty's interview lasted one half hour and they ask her many questions about sports rules and the sports teams she liked. She answered every one of the questions My classmate Nancy bought the biggest bra she could find (G cup) and stuffed it with tissue. She wore a blond wig to the interview for the job. She wore a sweater that showed off her big boobs and she wore Daisy Duke style shorts. She had no resume and no sports experience and no interest in sports. She had a C grade point average. He interview lasted 5 minutes and mostly considered of whether she could work on weekends. We all learned a great lesson from this and it really enhanced our knowledge of the world. Nancy got the job offer. I think that is disgusting. Is it legal to discriminate in hiring because of boob size? Should we inform the college president of this or the local media or do nothing? Please give us your opinion what we should do. THANKS |

Posted: 27 Nov 2018 04:30 AM PST Planning to meet with friend. To catch up and all. But I'm also thinking that I should open something about my side to her. It's more of a bad behavior which is, well, not a norm on our society. That something usually turns her off from what I can tell from the years we used to be together. Now, I plan on telling them to her. Reason is I feel somewhat guilty. For not being entirely honest and not being the person she thinks as. We've been friends for 4 years now. Also, we are not really that close with each other given that we aren't connecting much anymore like we used to. So, what do you think would be consequences of opening my side to her? I'm aware of the chance of her looking down on me. Any other thoughts? Thanks in advance |
Question: Why do no adults want to be my friend? Posted: 27 Nov 2018 02:14 AM PST So, I'm 20 years old and I've tried to make friends with other young adults. However, no matter with who I try, either someone is somewhat interested in me but end up just having small talk and not much beyond that, and not enough in common to be friends, or they're just not interested in me at all. In high school as a teen, I had quite a few good friends and it was fairly easy for me to make friends with the other kids but as an adult, it's practically impossible for me to make friends with other adults. I'm always alone in my room and I've lost hope to make new adult friends, and just stick with my friends from high school. |

Question: Would she get mad if I bought her lipstick? Posted: 26 Nov 2018 10:41 PM PST So my friend got sick on Black Friday and couldn't shop with me. She felt tired from working that morning and I felt bad that she didn't get anything. I ended up going to sephora to buy her lipsticks but I didnt know what color to get her, so I got her favorite colors which are burgundy and wine. I lost the receipt and she mentioned that she didn't like too bright of a color on her lipsticks. We hang out a lot and are close. We've hung out before. We actually would eat lunch a lot together and we would grab coffee a lot. She likes making me blush and teasing me and complimenting me. I just don't want her to not like it. |
Question: How do you deal with a work bully? Posted: 26 Nov 2018 10:35 PM PST A fellow coworker 20 years my senior who I used to get along with amazingly and adore has decided to turn on me as they have familiarly done with almost most of my co workers during their time working there. I have several accounts of people reporting to me of being singled out and brutalized by them. They are almost 45 years old but act 17. They are on thin ice with management but continue to stay employed. I one day lost it and told them how mean they were being and we met a few days after and talked and they apologized to me. They have since continued to brutalize me while at work. How do people deal with such immaturity and behavior? |
Question: Do you find drinking boring when you got older? Posted: 26 Nov 2018 10:22 PM PST I used to drink when I was younger and I decided to quit for good. I think its too expensive and how you feel the next day. I used to have all these drinking buddies when I was younger. I know one of my old friends that drinks allot got cancer from it. He used to drink allot and smoke. He is 34 and I know its because of all that drinking. Another friend who is just a dumb drunk. I did had to cut some old friends off. |
Question: How to handle gossip at work? I think I work with kids and they are 40-50 years old.? Posted: 26 Nov 2018 10:20 PM PST I work part time at this hospital doing custodian work. I like it because its really laid back and there isn't many people. I work with a couple guys that will gossip about who is doing what wrong. Like lets say someone will miss 5 trashes in a big office area. This co worker will go tell people. I've confronted him so many times about what he did to me. He doesn't even back his gossip up. He says he's sorry and some excuse. He once took a picture of my mess and showed another co worker and I got back at him for what he did. Since he likes to gossip on people I told someone what he said about them and they got into it. I told him never to take a picture of my mess again. Even the supervisor is a bit weird. I've never worked at a place with gossip like this. I've worked at places where people complained but this type of gossip when you're a adult is really weird. There is other buildings where I can get a transfer. |

Question: Should I end our friendship? Posted: 26 Nov 2018 08:34 PM PST My friend and I have been together for about 12 years now. We are currently seniors in high school. Even though we had different classes since the 6th grade, we still hanged out during lunch. I feel as if we have grown apart. For instance, My friend took regular classes while I'm in honors and AP. My friend hangs out with people who drink and vape, and she has told me she has done some of these things as well. I hang out with my classmates who are academically involved. I'd like to consider myself as more of the nerdy goodie-goodie who is nice, shy, and gets straight A's. Conversely, my friend is more social and enjoys high school parties. I feel as if our differences may permeate our friendship. I love my best friend but I don't wish to partake in her vaping and failing classes. She asks me to hang out during the school week a lot but I just have so much homework that I plan to do. I don't think I can bring myself to end our friendship either since she's always been there for me. I'm not sure what's best for us, please help. |

Question: How to deal with always being the ugly friend? Posted: 26 Nov 2018 07:43 PM PST |
Posted: 26 Nov 2018 07:36 PM PST So I have an issue. If im in a friendship and something happens and we stop being friends in like a day. I have a hard time getting over it. Its kinda like if you have all this strength and one day it disappeared, so now u have to get used to it but its difficult because its such a jurasstic change in like a second. Vs a friendship slowly fadeing, youre gradually getting used to it disapearing as its disapearing, so its not as difficult. But I dont know if this is weird because alot of other people arent the same. |
Question: Do you think I hurt my moms feelings wih my gift to my best friend? Posted: 26 Nov 2018 06:30 PM PST I'm 20, I am super close with my mom, we have a special bond and I have always called her my best friend. She will be my best friend for LIFE, always has been and always will... Well I am very close with an older past mentor of mine, she is 50 years older than me but is happy and healthy as can be and holds a huge place in my heart. We are like kindred spirits, we sre both special to each other. She calls and talks to me every day, multiple times a day, we are extremely close. Shes like a second mom or aunt to me. Her birthday is coming up and I'm going to visit. I decided to buy and customize her a heart locket necklace, with our picture in it and a saying that says "Thanks for being my Best friend" .. its special and i know it will be very special to her I am so close with my mom like i said, so i love her opinions! I showed her the locket to see if it was a cheesy gift ir if it was good. She LOVED theblocket and message inside and thought it was so sweet of me. She really liked it! Im just worried, she saw the message engraving inside about "thanks for being my best friend"... do you think that hurt her feelings? ( FYI.. I already made one soecially for my mom and im going to give it to her for christmas) |
Question: Why do girls act like this? Posted: 26 Nov 2018 05:40 PM PST I met this girl through her friend. She's a couple years older than me. Her friend started laughing at my joke and talking to me. Her friend acted flirty and started finding any way she can to talk to me. She asks me to be around her and her friend and her friend has an issue. This girl finds any reason for me to be around her. Like hey want to sit with us, hey want to walk with us. It's like really weird. Then we took selfies when it was her friend's turn being next to me she had to be next to me and in between us. This girl doesn't talk to me in front of her friend and helps her friend approach me. Well she does stuff like copy me then tell me she's doing it. She mimicked the way I walked then told me she did it. Then she says to her friend "he's 6' tall with long legs ooh". She does it in front of her friend and the friend doesn't seem impressed. She offered me a ride home when it was completely unnecessary. She hesitated when I accepted and like shocked but did it. She laughs at stuff I say. Then when we had square dancing said we're going to be partners. I told her I'm not into selfies she says that they will take care of it and a day or two later comes and gets me for a picture. Some guys said stupid stuff like we did stuff when she gave me a ride and told on them and said "they're picking on me and CJ"She went up to a guy and asked about me right in front of me. She talks in a tone and smiles at me then will say stuff like "you've been really inappropriate recently". |
