Then He's bought me a rose and a teddy bear. Now he sits next to me all night and holds my hand and walks me to the car. He will sit in the car and just talk he recently been sharing personal info like how He just found out he's not the father of an 8yr old he's been taking care of. When we're togther I feel like I just want to hug and hold him and kiss him but at the end of the day his feelings have changed he seems distant. I am overall pretty happy but sometimes I feel like my life is on a total different path. In high school, I feel like I should have dated but didn't. My mom even dated in high school. I just felt like my parents were super strict. Two guys asked me out in high school, one I wasn't attracted to and the other guy I was but I felt like my parents would be against it. Later on, my mom told me that I should have dated in high school which was weird because this whole time, my parents have been against it. Now, a lot of my friends are married, have children, or are in really serious relationships. I am the only one who is not in a serious relationship, married, or have children. I have had guys ask me out, but they are not future material. They work dead-end jobs and are not serious or they are just strange. Lately, no guy has asked me out. People I knew from school, acquaintances, friends, and my best friends, they are all married. I've only had one boyfriend who was kind of serious but not even a year. I feel lost to be honest at times. I feel like I should have started dating in high school and this would have been easier. It seems like no guy even wants to get to know me. We aren't exclusively dating or anything but have been in communication and getting to know each other. Long story short after about 7 months of talking he finally made his way to my state. He said he wasn t happy with his life and that he needed space, practically all reasons were "him". I was heart broken. A little over a year later, I contacted to make amends with my past and return his belongings. He said he wanted to see me. I was going through the end of the relationship I was in, at the time. So my ex and I we eventually started talking about 2 months later. I was too damaged from my recent relationship. He ended up saying I was going through so much and it was taking a toll on him too and that if we kept talking, we would end up hating each other. Because neither of us was in a good mind state to date each other again, I feel disappointed that instead of him sticking it out with me and helping me heal, and working things through, he ended up saying it s best we stop seeing each other and end it because we are not "in a good place" and he would rather have us split on good terms. I sincerely believed that I would end up wit h this guy. So it s hard to process. How do I accept this? |
