Question: Can I still have kids? Period has lasted 3 1/2 months? Posted: 29 Nov 2018 01:44 PM PST I got off my depo shot, and my period has lasted for well over three months. (Previously I would hardly ever have my period). I was on the depo for ovarian cysts & a lot of my glands would constantly be swollen. I went to my doctor & she actually told me to download some apps and meditate? They were telling me to get back on birth control & continue on with life? 1. it's expensive (nearly$300 for the shot) 2. I want to have kids here in the next year or so. All my doctor kept saying was to not have a kid & better my life? Making the decision for me? My man and I own our own home and both have decent jobs. I do think things are fine myself & I'm a young woman who's excelled in everything I put my mind to. |
Posted: 29 Nov 2018 01:35 PM PST My Dad died and so it is his brother and I saw his son today who made reference to it. I said "would love to see you all over the holidays" and left it at that. I expect no invitation will come. This opens lots of pain as it makes me rejected from my Dad's side of the family. They overlook me cause of his death despite my outreaches. They are nice when I see them and I am sure they will let me bring a gift by at a convenient time the week after Christmas. However, I feel a deep rejection at being rejected from the family party. Maybe I will get lucky and be invited as its 3 or 4 weeks away, but how do I get over the loss and rejection if not invited so I don't have a miserable Christmas? My mother never got along with her in-laws so that is part of the problem as well. |

Question: My sister likes me ? Posted: 29 Nov 2018 10:27 AM PST My little sister has a crush on me she always wants to hang out with me and my friends mostly she's always wants to be near me. She gets upset when me and my boyfriend kiss. When she's sick or she's really sad she wants me to sleep with her or cuddle with her also most of the time she's really annoying. Whenever she gets upset or mad she blames it on me even though I usually have nothing to do with it. When me and my band get together to practice she always wants to sing and play with us I'm the drummer sometimes I let her play the drums if she wants to. Is this normal ? |
Posted: 29 Nov 2018 10:09 AM PST She has 3 other kids so it is not like he is the only child. She won't even do Christmas this year, it sucks. His birthday was December 23rd so right around Christmas. How do I get my mother to let go and move on and quit being so depressed and getting us so depressed? |
Posted: 29 Nov 2018 10:05 AM PST It is on holidays that I don't want to go and while they can't make me as I am 30, I know the pressure will be on. My mother has a friend who is really trashy with men and they know a couple where the wife stirs up dirt about the rest of the family which my Mom likes for some sick reason. I don't want to be stuck there for Christmas, Thanksgiving, etc.... and I know they will pressure us to go and make these toxic people like family. How do I say no without causing a fight? |
Posted: 29 Nov 2018 10:02 AM PST It ruins Christmas but I want to make it good this year. I grieve the rejection each year at this time but would like to move on. I have no Dad so her family is the only extended family I have and they don't get along with my mother cause my grandfather was alcoholic. I can visit them but not when the family gathers Christmas Eve, not sure why. So I feel segregated even though I'll likely see them week after Christmas. |

Question: Why is my mother so mean? Posted: 29 Nov 2018 08:54 AM PST She said after work we'd go and buy Christmas Decorations for thd tree we bought Saturday. But now she says she's just going to the pharmacy and get stockings for her to wear tomorrow and mentioned nothing about the Christmas Decorations. |
Question: Is being an only child really this awful? And if not, then why do people say this? Posted: 29 Nov 2018 08:06 AM PST I understand that they probably can't imagine their lives without their own siblings, but if somebody didn't have any from the birth then they should not make them feel bad just because their own siblings are this awesome, because it's not always the case. I would say that most people aren't always in such a good touch with their siblings and those who are in good touch with their siblings their whole lives seem to be the lucky ones. |
Posted: 29 Nov 2018 07:40 AM PST I feel the infidelity, while wrong of her, was none of my business. The rest of the family condemned her for it. The loser she went off with died last year and so he won't be there. |
Question: My father is not good to me as an adult but was when I was a little a kid. Why the change? Posted: 29 Nov 2018 07:37 AM PST I see him a couple times a year so it is not like I want material stuff from him or take advantage of him. Anonymous: Yeah, my Mom who he lies to. |

Question: Is My Mom Very Jealous Of My Stepmother? Posted: 29 Nov 2018 05:56 AM PST Both my parents are divorce, my dad and stepmom have been together for a while now and they love each other very much. Let me say that my stepmom is a very nice women and we get along great but my Mom have always felt very Jealous of her or just didn't like her. I think Moms Jealousy againsts my Stepmom is mostly due to always talking bad about her behind her back, not over my Dad, thinking she is taking her place and that not too long ago that my Mom's second boyfriend dumped her which made her feel very bitter and causeing Mom to emotional eat to feel better about herself which is making her gain weight. My Stepmom is aware that my Mom doesn't like her and my Stepmom told me this, no matter what bad thing she saids about me I would never talk bad about her all I care about is making you happy because your my Stepson, and if you Mom is still in denial about her hate for me and her weight gain then I feel sorry for her and pity her behavior. Question: Ever since I had my kids, I've been afraid of theme park and funfair rides? Posted: 29 Nov 2018 05:29 AM PST I'm 52 years old. I have two wonderful 24-year-old twin sons. Before I had them both, I used to love going on rides at theme parks and funfairs. The bigger and the more intense, the better for me. However, since I had them both, I am afraid to rides big time. I'm even scared of going on ferris wheels. The only rides I can do now are rides like carousels and waltzers. I've never been concerned about my sons going on any ride at any age. I've always been cool with them going on rides. I literally have no idea what I'm afraid of rides now. What do you think this is? |

Posted: 29 Nov 2018 04:54 AM PST okay so when i say i don't like my parents i don't mean i hate these evil people put in my life but rather i simply don't like what they want me to be or want they make me do. i love them for the caring people they are & im not some ungrateful ****. they send me the the private school i'd like to go to, for the most part they provide me for what i need. the issue for the most part is them allowing me to be a teenager, i fully understand that they care about the things i do so don't make me look like some prick. they've caught me smoking a few times, they don't realize that i will not stop. it's not me being ignorant it's just something i do, i'm doing so much better in school this year (As and Bs), i go home and mind my own business.. but they are ALWAYS ON TOP OF ME, i never get any breathing room to do whatever tf i want. any advice?? |

Question: Why do I always feel like every decision I ever make is wrong? Posted: 28 Nov 2018 11:46 PM PST My whole life I've felt like everything I've ever decided to do or wanted to do was the wrong choice, even if I hadn't even done it yet. My father was always disappointed in the decisions I made or the things I wanted to do, even if he said he wasn't. I always feel like I've failed him. Now my fiance makes me feel like everything I choose is wrong too. I'm scared to go against them or have an opinion that's different. I feel like I can't make my own decisions anymore, but I'm always yelled at to make them on my own, and when I pick something they're not happy with then I'm yelled at again. I honestly don't know what to do anymore. Does anyone have any advice? |

Posted: 28 Nov 2018 09:29 PM PST I don't get along with a few of my neighbors. I've cut out sooo many people in my life including a lot of my extended family. I guess I don't forgive too easily and I don't show my vulnerable sides too much. I also think I need to be more empathetic...I don't think I see things from others people's point of view so much. Just thinking how I burned too many bridges : ( but I do like the people who I have in my life now. Thanks!! |

Question: What should I do about my brother hitting me? Posted: 28 Nov 2018 08:06 PM PST I'm a girl and my brother has hit me very violently for the past three arguments we have had. He even recorded hit hitting me one time to show people cause he is proud of it. My mom always is on his side about the whole situation, saying that It's my fault that he hit me even when I don't hit him first. I contacted the police one time and they didn't do anything cause it was the first report and now he thinks he can hit me more bc the "police didn't do anything". I've become accustomed too him leaving bruises and making me bleed, but I'm getting tired of it. What should or can I do? |

Question: Is It wrong that I make my daughter pay her own medical bills? Posted: 28 Nov 2018 06:42 PM PST She's 21 by the way, and she throws a fit that I send her the bills for her prescriptions and therapy, since we paid it for 20 years then stopped, we told her we have plenary of our own medical bills to pay, you're getting free insurance through me still, you need to grow up and accept that your bills are your responsiblity, technically the bills are legal responsibility even though she's on my plan. I simply can't afford to keep doing this anymore, she wants to be an adult and adults pick up there own bills. Yet her and brother both think I'm the biggest a hole on the planet for billing my own daughter and not coddling a grown women, and I right or wrong here? |
Question: Parents keep claiming I’m being selfish and ungrateful at 9 months pregnant? Posted: 28 Nov 2018 06:28 PM PST My parents have refused to help me through out my pregnancy I was working for them and they weren't paying me enough to support myself or my unborn baby so I quit and decided to look for a better paying job. Unfortunately I live in a very small town where jobs are limited so I haven't been able to get one unless I drive an hour or two away. My boyfriend is working and paying for everything along with his family! They've been paying out a lot of money to help us. Every time I bring it up to my parents they tell me I'm being ungrateful and selfish when I say why can't you help me with buying the baby stuff like they do? They keep saying it's all about me, when I just want my parents to help support me and my child! They're supporting my 30 year old brother and 10 year child in their home and he's working, not paying rent or any thing to live there. They even buy her clothes, electronics, anything. But they won't help me knowing I'm struggling and feel awful my boyfriend and his family are paying for everything I left a job not being able to support myself or my daughter. Am I being selfish and ungrateful for telling them what his family has bought us and is willing to help us with unlike them? |
Question: Belligerent son wont comply with house rules.... any tips?? Posted: 28 Nov 2018 06:21 PM PST My 16 y/o has major behavioral problems, he's very rule, moody and aggressive. His mother has raised him up until this point and he clearly had no structure or discipline. He wakes up whenever he wants, stalls on household chores, almost always on video games and frequently sneaks out. We have argued repeatedly about his behavior. I've tried corporal punishment (didnt do much) taking away his things (he just buys them back). I've withheld food (again, he just buys his own or goes to a friends house). I've locked him in his room a few times but he's mastered climbing through the window. When I put him in the basement he acted like he didnt really care. Ive medicated him but was advised not to for legal reasons. So, Recently, I bought a taser gun which was working great but he stole it so now I have to keep the new one in the safe and it's not always accessible. He had gotten out of hand and I feel like I've exhausted all option, I'm not sure I can do this for another 2 years. Any tips on disciplining belligerent teen boys. |
Question: My Dad lies to my Mom a lot. How do I know when he is lying to me when he makes a promise? Posted: 28 Nov 2018 06:06 PM PST Now I don't trust him cause he lies so much to my Mom. They are fibs, not huge lies, but they all add up. He is a serious chronic liar now. |
Question: My life is Hell now. What should I do about my wife? Posted: 28 Nov 2018 05:14 PM PST We have been married for 9 years with 2 kids ages 4 and 5.We live in a 3 floor home with 4 bedrooms and lots of space. My sister and mom has lived with us for 3 years now. My mother is sick and needs a 24hr assistance which is why my sister lives with me. The doctor has advised my mother not to go back home (outside of the country) to continue to get better treatment. This is why she's stayed this long. My wife is making my life a living hell for that. She gets angry at me, abuses me, my sister and my mom. Calls my mom expletive names.. This is a woman who has dementia.. She calls her a b*tch, dummy, stupid and all sorts of names. She is always yelling that I should send my mom home to her husband, so she can die there. She has told me severally that she hopes I die soon. She wants none of my family members to live with her. I sympathized with her and pleaded with her about my mom's illness. She doesn't care, she wants her out. My mom and sister doesn't bother her. If it wasn't for my sister living me us, our house would be junk as my wife is very lazy and knows how to mess the house up but do not know how to clean it up. She curses at me infront of the Kids, calls me all sorts of names infront of the Kids. When the kids cry for something, instead of her trying to see what's gong on with them and try to stop them from crying, she gets angry because they do not want to stop crying and infact makes them cry more. It's hell for everyone in this house. I am concerned. Every time I try to have a conversation with her to see what's going on, she either gets upset again or walks away. So there's really no time to resolve or figure out whatever the problem is. My family has done nothing bad to her but just live with their son. My mom might succumb to this illness, but I expect my wife to understand this situation because she too is a Health Professional. She do not sleep in our room anymore. She sleeps in the living room. |
Question: Is GrandBite a good name for a restaurant? Posted: 28 Nov 2018 05:01 PM PST I'm opening a family restaurant and was wondering if you guys think Grandbite would be a suitable name? |
Question: Can you let me know what you think of this? Posted: 28 Nov 2018 04:34 PM PST My brother's girlfriend is pulling him away from his family. It started like this. I bought my brother a wallet, his girlfriend goes and buys him a wallet so he starts using that one. I thought it was just a coincidence. My dad buys my brother a new phone, she goes and gets him a new phone. Now it seems she is just being a B!tc$. I gifted him a nice pair of work boots. She goes and gets him some boots. She talked him into moving away from us (not far) and now they live together. Always visits her family. Visits us on Holidays but always second after her family (rushes him so they don't stay long). For Christmas, my mother gave her a gift basket. Brother's birthday comes around, and my mother gives him a gift basket. He said he loved it and talked about how his chick recently said she doesn't like gift baskets, but without specifically mentioning the one she had received months prior. What mental disorder does this chick have? She is a smart a$$ too. He is so weak when dating and gets pushed around. |
Question: Is it illegal for a family to let a runaway kid stay in their home? Posted: 28 Nov 2018 04:13 PM PST My friend is 15, and she's vented to me about her recent family situation. She's recently moved in with her mom and brothers, and she's said they've been abusive/violent. There's been previous instances where her brothers have threatened to kill her. She has a very on and off relationship with her mom, which I don't know much about. Though she's said that her mom "smacking me and mentally abusing me, manipulating my feelings so I feel bad for her" She originally lived in my town, with her dad but the situation wasn't good, but I'm not sure it's much better where she is now. Sometimes it's okay, but other times she says she wants to run away. I just need to know if she ran away and came to my family's house, would it be illegal if she spent a few nights here? |
Question: How do I politely persuade my dad to stop wearing short shorts all the time? Posted: 28 Nov 2018 04:04 PM PST This is so frustrating. Everywhere we go, he puts on a pair of denim short shorts. He thinks it's cool and funny, but everyone just laughs and points fingers at him. |
Posted: 28 Nov 2018 02:46 PM PST Or was it okay cause they were in love? My mother at the time it happened noted it was very wrong, now years later she talks like it was okay since the favorite cousin and her husband were having problems. This all happened some 20 years ago. She now is married to the man she left her husband for and had the affair with. |
Question: How do I convince my dad to stop wearing short shorts? Posted: 28 Nov 2018 02:44 PM PST He does this none stop, and it's so embarrassing. Like when we go to a concert or to the park, he wears short shorts when nobody else in the family does. |
Question: My mom chaperones literally everything? Posted: 28 Nov 2018 02:42 PM PST this is so embarrassing. whenever i'm invited to a party, field trip, prom, homecoming, concert, or even mission trip, my embarrassing mom (who is asian) comes along. She says she just wants to "have fun and make sure the kids are safe". I'm already 16, and this is ridiculous. Nobody else comes (except the teacher for school events and youth pastor for our mission trips). Sometimes, she even follows me to school. I have several AP classes, and I have A averages in them. I'm respectful and helpful to all my teachers, I don't cheat, gossip, or bully, I never get bullied by anyone, I don't litter or do drugs, and my parents know that I do very well in school. She even says that once I go to college, she'll be following me. All the kids make fun of me because my mom chaperones. She probably comes just so she can embarrass me. I'm going to my friend's sleepover this Saturday, and yesterday night I told my mom, "well if you're coming, then i'm definitely not going to the sleepover" To which she said, "Okay. No problem. I'll enjoy it more without you." So this is ridiculous. She's going to the sleepover, but I'm not. What will my friends think of me? I'm not going on any social events. And we were discussing college not too long ago, and I said, "I'll get a job at Chick Fil a or Publix, and I won't go to college unless you choose not to follow me". |
