Question: How can I make my daughters wish come true on this 11/11 wish day? Posted: 11 Nov 2018 01:09 PM PST On this 11/11 wish day I beg for any suggestions... My eight year olds daughters wish has always been to go to Walt Disney World. My wife and I do not work great paying jobs. When we were younger, we did things that has caused our credit to not be good (from credit card debt to medical bills). Does anyone have any suggestions on good ways to save so I can make my daughters wish come true? Every time we seem to start saving something comes up from bills , to car repairs, to house repairs. We can never get ahead. I appreciate any and all suggestions. Thank you, Happy Holidays, and God Bless. |
Posted: 11 Nov 2018 10:58 AM PST I've got 3 kids. My eldest son commited sucide 2 days ago at age 32. My other 2 sons are 25 and 27. Growing up my eldest seemed normal althouh a little more shy than the other 2. By the time he was 18 he enlisted in the USMC and served in Iraq and Afghanistan. He got discharged honorably but whereas the other 2 attended college and got a steady job and they both got married my eldest son didn't seem to fit in the civilian life anymore. In the past 2 years he seemed comfortable only with other Marines around. He never took drugs on aything but you could tell he was off. He seemed to be doing a little better lately,we tried to help him but he refused all the time. Now all we have are thoughts of a life that could've been and that should've been better than that. Since he was pround of being a Marine I would like to bury him in his dress blues whereas my wife wants him to be buried in civilian clothes.Should I l let her decide? I'm sure he would want the dress blues. It's gonna be an open casket funeral. Advice? |

Question: How do I convince my mom NOT to come on my school's field trip? Posted: 11 Nov 2018 08:50 AM PST My high school is taking a field trip to either Atlanta or DC (can't remember precisely which one) for the AP US Government class. I told my mom I wanted to go, so she signed me up. Okay. My mom will probably want to chaperone. I doubt any other adults other than the teacher will be there. If she goes, I'll be really embarrassed and everyone will make fun of me. I am very responsible, but my mom will still want to come in case "anything goes wrong". My mom is very embarrassing. She doesn't speak English well, she smells bad, she dresses weird, and she makes weird noises (not from her mouth). She's strict, nosy, overprotective, and Asian, so that means she'll probably come. How can I convince her NOT to chaperone? |

Question: How to politely ask crush to get off Netflix account? Posted: 11 Nov 2018 08:40 AM PST So my parents and I share a Netflix account and I was on FaceTime like 2 nights ago with my crush and we were talking about Netflix and stuff and he said he didn't have one at his moms house but he does at his dads house so I told him that if he wanted to then maybe he could use mine but he said "nah it's ok I have one at my dads house" and I said ok He's at his moms house right now and last night around 8 he texted me and asked if he could get the Netflix account so I gave it to him. There's 3 accounts on my Netflix ( me my mom and my dad) and now there's 4 with him and I haven't told my parents yet. We only have a 2 screen plan so it kicks me off when I wanna watch it bc my mom uses it all the time. Now they're both watching it at the same time right now How do I tell him that actually he can't use the account but politely? |
Question: How can I get the help I need? Posted: 11 Nov 2018 07:47 AM PST A lady ran a stop sign and T-boned me. I was not in the wrong, and she was charged with fail to yield or something like that. Now I have a personal injury lawsuit against her. She totaled my car, and caused me to lose my job, and I was bed ridden for a couple months. I was diagnosed with a severe concussion, post concussion syndrome, depression, anxiety, and PTSD. It's been 6 months since the accident, and my symptoms have only slightly improved. I've been searching around for help, on forums, and been trying all these drugs that the doctors say to take, and they make me sick, tired, fat and depressed!! Why are they giving me Seroquel, which makes me tired, depressed, and fat, when that's exactly how I DONT want to feel. Anyways, upon researching, and going on multiple concussion forums on facebook, many people have claimed CBD oil and medical marijuana has been a miracle cure for their symptoms. However, that is illegal in my state and I can't even take CBD oil because it can cause me to fail a drug test due to the small amounts of THC in it. After 6 months of not being able to work, seeing multiple doctors who don't seem to care about my pain and suffering, and just give me pills that seem to lobotomize me, I need a change. I can't take it anymore, and there are multiple states only an hour away from me that offer medical marijuana, and have legal marijuana, including CBD. They're really expensive to live though, maybe Michigan? Should I move? |
Question: What exactly does a relative want to hear when they ask ‘how’s school? Posted: 11 Nov 2018 07:45 AM PST This is an adult that may ask it when they see me for the first time in six months, not someone like my dad who asks everyday. |
Posted: 11 Nov 2018 06:43 AM PST So I'm 19 and I went on a vacation with my sister and dad during July. There I met this 24 year old guy who worked as an animator at the hotel. I spend a little bit of time with him from time to time during that week when we were there. My dad didn't like it at all, he was always angry about it. What he doesn't know is that we have been keeping in touch ever since July, and I want to go there to visit him in two weeks because he had an accident and needs me and also because there are some things I want to discuss with him face to face rather than through videochatting to see how and if we can make this relationship work. My mom knows and she supports our relationship and is okay with me going there for one week. But tonight I'm gonna tell my dad and I've been so nervous all week! And apparently - my mom told me this - my dad has had the same experience when he was younger, he met someone on a vacation, saw her once again and then never heard from her again. So that's also maybe why he's so protective. I live in Belgium and this guys lives in Tunisia. I just don't want to make him upset, any tips on how to bring it up and tell him would be very welcome! |
Posted: 11 Nov 2018 06:11 AM PST She is just an all around cruel person who was enabled by our parents, mainly our mother. |
Question: Since my Dad is a horrible human being do I have to mourn when he dies one day? Posted: 11 Nov 2018 06:10 AM PST He is healthy now but when the time does come years down the road to I have to mourn if he has not changed by then? |
Question: Should I, a 40-year-old man, go to Maui with my dad? Posted: 11 Nov 2018 05:56 AM PST He's went with a female friend a couple times in recent years. He wants to go back and could go alone, but he invited me casually to go. We currently live together, so part of me enjoys the respite...but part of me would like to visit Hawaii sometime. I do travel alone usually--more comfortable for me than it is for my dad. |
Posted: 11 Nov 2018 12:35 AM PST I'm confused if me and this guy (let's call him Alex) is blood related..? My great grandma gave birth to my grandma and that Alex's dad is my grandma's brother (so my great grandma gave birth to both my grandma and Alex's dad) My grandma had my mom and my mom had me. So are we blood related or..? |
Question: How to hide a bloated belly? Posted: 11 Nov 2018 12:29 AM PST I'll be visiting my parents for Thanksgiving but I already have one planned earlier in the day with my girlfriend's parents and so I know I'll be pretty full by the time I get to my parents house. I have no problem eating a second huge meal but I don't want them to see that I've already eaten. Will just a baggy shirt or a hoodie cover my bulging stomach enough that they won't notice? |
Posted: 11 Nov 2018 12:19 AM PST Every year my parents plan a modest family vacation (it usually just entails us spending a week in some cabin). I'm 20 years old now and have grown extremely tired of the same monotous vacations, but this year it's for their 25th anniersary and is super important to them. Am I being mean by wanting to back out? |
Question: How to deal with my rude older brother? Posted: 10 Nov 2018 11:54 PM PST -My brother already graduated in college and because of that he became more rude and boastful. He's too lazy and doesn't look for a job. He only dates women who can pay his bills. He brought pets at home. But it's just me of takes care of them most of the time. Sometimes, when I hesitate to go outside to buy food for our pets, he yells at me and tell me how useless of a person I am. He even blames me that it was me who said I like to have a pet. Yes, I did say that but I never asked him to give me any. Also, when I forgot to cook rice, he got mad at me and yelled at me again and tell me how useless I am again and he even posted in fb " You are so useless." (referring to me) but still it wasn't him who cooked the rice after. I do most of the chores that were suppose to be his but still he calls me lazy. All he does is just yell but he never actually helped at home. He also curse at me and hit me (sometimes) when I answer him when he's mad. I am very pissed at his attitude... I wanna do a revenge... I wonder If I stop doing the chores he's supposed to be doing, will he learn something? |
Question: How can I kill my self without feeling pain? Posted: 10 Nov 2018 11:53 PM PST Im 14 years old and my mom constantly yells at me & puts me down for no reason. She screams at me about how much she hates me & wants to kill me. My family knows what she does and does nothing but help her put me down. I wanna end it all |
Posted: 10 Nov 2018 08:58 PM PST I don't like social media. I will talk on the phone and text. But I don't want to spend all my time on my phone. My dad says I am not a normal teenage girl because I am not on my phone 24/7. Last night my Dad and Stepmom got in a fuss because he was texting Non-Stop at dinner. She said it was rude and my dad asked me I thought that he was rude. I said yeah it is rude you're wife was talking you and you Ignored her. He called me stupid and told me to mind my business then tired to ground for sticking my nose in his and my stepmom's business but my stepmom took up for me. Sometimes My dad acts like he is my age. |
Question: My mom hates my older sister and they are always fighting? Posted: 10 Nov 2018 08:26 PM PST I m 13 and my older sister is 20. My mom hates her and my older sister is my best friend and my mom kicked her out and disowned her. My mom says she stole money from her but my older sister says our mom is lying and our mom is mentally ill. My mom threw away my sisters baby clothes when she kicked her out and it made me cry seeing her do that nobody knows I cried except my little sister. She said i shouldnt cry but it makes me feel horrible that my family is always fighting. I saw my dad leave now I m seeing my sister leave. I got suspended from school for truancy and my little sister was asked by a social worker about me. She told her I wasnt feeling good because of our family. Posted: 10 Nov 2018 07:51 PM PST I cant even have a good night with my parents without some sort of yelling or fighting going on but if nothing happens im constantly paranoid , and im pretty sure its alcohol. My dad drinks alot but never get too bad. Its my mother. She manage to get my brother lost outside of busch gardens entrance(The place where most human trafficking happens) and almost get my brother taken away by DCF. Has completely thrown all the glass in our house everywhere at least 7 times. Then completely insulted me for being on the computer and then demanded i give my phone. Next times this happens im going to go leave but don't know where to go. But if i do stay i think my parents might soon get a divorce and im stuck with my mom because my dad is a pilot and is away from home alot. I want to confront her about it but last time i did i had to do yard work for 4 hours straight. I don't know what to do i need help. Im 14. |
Question: Is My mom is trying to control me ? Posted: 10 Nov 2018 07:38 PM PST So I get home from work after a very busy day. And my mom is in this pissy attitude because she says she can't locate me on the Family app thing we have where you can locate your family member. Well I never touched it but for some reason it's acting up idk what happened. I tried telling her but she raises her voice and continually asks me why I turned it off , and accusing me of turning it off because I wasn't really at work.i tried telling her that my phone had problems today and I had no service for a while. But she doesn't believe me and keeps insisting that I didn't go to work because I was meeting up with someone and she won't be paying for my classes next semester becausd I think I'm a big shot because I have a new little job and that I need to think about how I'm going to pay for my school. This all started because I stopped participating and claiming to be a part of her religion. She uses it to take away things from me including our relationship.shell say things like well if you don't want to be apart of the congregation fine but don't think I'll support you. She says a lot of other hurtful things to me but I can't put them all here. Is she just worried about me because I made bad mistakes in the past with guys and my s*x life? Or is she trying to control me? |

Posted: 10 Nov 2018 07:07 PM PST Soooo I'm originally from India and I've come to USA to visit my family and I was at my uncles house and he has two sons out of which one is very annoying. I was on my iPad and I needed a charger so I just had the need to whisper to my mom, " if I meet that god damn child outside I'm gonna be pissed" and as I was waking out of my room I saw my uncle carrying him and he was right oudside the door and I think he heard me What do I do??? |

Question: Do you think my mother is a big b itch? Posted: 10 Nov 2018 04:02 PM PST I was in the car the other day with her and feeling depressed, so I was slumped down in the seat and she screams at me, "SIT UP, YOU LOOK LIKE A FAT BUDDA!" I am overweight, but she is much more overweight. And btw, she beats me from time to time after starting s hit with me for no reason. I just hate her. |

Question: Is it okay for boys to have feminine qualities? Posted: 10 Nov 2018 03:52 PM PST Our two young sons couldn't be more different. The oldest is a typical boy – loud and in perpetual motion. His four-year-old brother, however, is gentle, quiet, and sensitive. While our oldest son and his dad spend hours on end rough-housing together, the younger prefers to be off in a corner drawing or outside gathering flowers. My mother thinks I should be discouraging these behaviors. Is there any sense in her suggestion, or something I should be concerned about? |
Question: Baby cant come to ex bf home because of a pit bull ? Posted: 10 Nov 2018 03:29 PM PST So my ex won't let the baby and I come over his home because of his FEMALE roommates that have pit bulls. So he could only come over my place to see the baby . I'm not buying this . Dogs are dangerous but not sure why him or anyone would let a dog jump on a baby. Why would he let a dog restrict me and his baby from visiting ? His bro is in town and wanting to see the baby too. Well , I'm not gonna let that happen unless we could come over . Now he says I'm making things difficult. How is it difficult asking if the baby and I could come to his home ? |

Question: Mom wont babysit my kids because my mother in law insulted me. How does this make sense? Posted: 10 Nov 2018 03:11 PM PST My mom and mother in law hate each other. I hate my MIL too. I texted her a question the other day and she proceeded to pop off to me and insult my oldest son and myself for no reason. She has obvious emotional disturbances and its gotten worse since she turned 50 early this year. My mom is angry about it and feels that I should have controlled my mother in law (she doesnt even live here). My husband called her and told her it was unacceptable behavior and would not be tolerated (for her to insult his wife like this). My mom still says my mother in law is "to blame" for why she wont watch her grandkids anymore. Is this normal or right? |
