Like barely able to walk, we've known each other for that long. I can honestly call her my best friend. We know each other's darkest secrets and purest attributes. Even though we live a whole state apart, we still have late night chats, and we still see each other whenever we can. Over the years I've had a crush on her, which has since developed in to straight up fallen in love with her. I truly cannot see myself with anyone else but her. She knows I feel this way. The thing is that she is already in a relationship with another guy. Obviously I don't want to do anything that can ruin what she already has. Otherwise what kind of friend would that make me? I'll admit my self esteem is not high, so I'm not actively out talking and flirting with girls. I don't date at all and believe me it's not by choice. Recently whenever my friend post pictures of herself and her boyfriend I feel my heart sink and I go into a deep depression. I use to self harm and whenever I see that I get the urge to do it again. Now my question is should I cut ties with her completely? Should I stop being her friend all together and let her be happy where she is now? I really wish that I don't have to do this, but The way I see it, this is the only option I have. This way she's happy, she doesn't have to worry about me, and she doesn't have to deal with my nonsense. |

He's a really nice person, he is friendly, funny and he is really kind. However, he confessed his love for me a while ago and since I didn't love him back, I proposed we could stay friends but that I'd let him have some time to think about it all and maybe « recover » from the rejection. He told me he didn't need time and that we could stay friends and I happily agreed. But since then, he is acting so weird and it's driving me crazy. He always makes me « guilt trip » if I don't talk to him 24/7. He also blames me for things I never did, he puts pressure on me, but at the same time he listens to me and when we go out all of his drama goes away. The drama has caused me to take space from him a few times but... I always go back and apologize because all the good moments we have make me feel so nostalgic. It's a vicious circle! I know I shouldn't go back to him because he drains me, he makes me feel like s*it, and he told me many times that he "changed" and that he would never cause me stress ever again, but the circle always repeats... She took her time to think over and I did not want to be disrespectful so I told her take her time. She appreciated what I said in regards to what I think about her. She apologized for taking her time and confirmed that she does not share the feelings I have for between us and she wants us to remain as friends and it won't be affected. I told her thank you for letting me know and I respect her feelings. I didn't want to make her feel uncomfortable nor be upset and bitter at her. She again told me how she appreciates what I said to her and apologized for the delay. Would she have respect for me and think I'm a decent friend? We were blocking today, which basically means putting the actors on stage and telling them where and how they need to move on stage during a scene. So we were blocking a scene together. And during the scene they told him he needed to lean towards me and act interested in what my character is saying. He turned as red as a tomato and started giggling. And then he leaned in still red and giggling. Then later on when we were blocking we had to stand right next to each other and talk. We looked each other in the eyes and I noticed his pupils were really dilated. The room wasn't dark, it was pretty well lit. What do you think this means? We have known each other since we were 11 because we have grown up together. Over the course of those 7 years, I became extremely close with his family, to the point where I was having dinners with them, they were buying me birthday and Christmas presents and we had a tradition where I spent 4th of July with them. This was all before the two of us started dating. Over the last year or so, Jacob and I got really close and became best friends at first and then eventually progressed into dating. So my question I have is, do you think that there is another reason why he would break up with me and he's just using this as an excuse? Also, his family is set on the fact that I need to keep my relationship with them intact, which is great. But how do I do that without making both Jacob and me uncomfortable? |
| Posted: 13 Nov 2018 06:12 PM PST I know it's wrong. I apologized to him. We we're fighting and I got mad at him because he NEVER let's me speak! I had to yell in order to get what I have to say said or he'll talk over me an wont listen and I hate it! He always wants to be right and calls me names. He started the fight it was bs. I kept trying to talk an he wouldn't let me even finnish one complete sentence I had to repeatedly try to talk in a calm voice but he wouldn't let me so I yelled then he called me crazy because I raised my voice loudly which I wouldn't have done if he'd just grant me enough repsect to talk! So when he called me that I slapped him on his cheek it wasn't a hard slap but a noticeable one obviously. But it still makes me feel bad... How can I get him to start letting me speak! I never feel heard an if he's not talking over me he'll ignore me! It makes me so mad/upset like what I have to say doesn't matter. |

| Question: Need Relationship Advice? Posted: 13 Nov 2018 05:46 PM PST The other day a girl told me that she liked me and asked if i liked her. I replied yes as i had been wanting to ask her this as well for a while. We set up a date and talked for a little. The next day she told me that she wasn't ready for a relationship due to depression and other circumstances and that she needed to figure herself out. I told her that is okay and to do what she thinks is best, and that there was no way she would hurt me with her problems. We still talk semi regularly, and i still believe she likes me, but am unsure what do do now. Our texts have always been relatively short even pre her asking me out so I cant tell if shes trying not to talk to me because she no longer likes me or what she is doing. Any help? |
