She's also 10 years older than me. For example my body shape: I've always been bigger on the bottom than I am the top, like a large bikini bottom doesn't even cover the whole cheek. And I've always been told I have such a nice butt, etc. and recently girls at work have noticed a difference because I figured I'd get back into the squat routine and have been for a while so. So one night while eating dinner I said something like the food is going straight to my butt (like I always say sometimes) and she says, "you don't have a butt" and joking I said, "I wish I didn't sometimes" and in a completely serious voice she says, "you don't"...which is a little messed up because I was telling her about the gym and I think I'm seeing results. It's not like I talk about it all the time or think I'm hot sh*t, but she's always thinking her butt is super fine and I don't ever say anything lol. Then she did it again a couple weeks ago when I found out I was approved for a mortgage and had some good things happening finally. She saw a post I made on Facebook and texted me cuz she was curious, so when I told her she only replied with "nice" whereas other friends were excited to go house hunting. I know she doesn't have credit and maybe didn't make smart financial choices, but at least be happy? It's making me not want to do anything with her. Is she just jealous? |

Posted: 06 Feb 2017 04:42 PM PST About over a yr ago one of my granddads friends husband died from cancer about a 1 wk and 1/2 before xmas, i sent her (grandpas friend) a friend request on FB, so when i did, i suggested her friends but she didn't take anyones friend requests at that time, b/c of the loss of her husband, which i suspect that's WHY she didn't take it, and changed her FB page to just "message", meaning that no one can send her requests. After that a month later she sends me a thank u note for thinking of her during the loss. It took her about a yr to "get back with everybody", I've been writing to her during this past yr, and when xmas came i sent her flowers, then I get a call from her the next day, she told me thank u for them and the letters that I've sent her, it was good to hear her voice, and i was glad that she called. She sounded like she was doing pretty good when i talked to her, but i know she really liked the flowers, she said they did the nice job on the flowers i sent her via flower delivery and she would like to use the same company for other people. i think at the time i sent her the request to be friends w/me on FB it probably wasn't a "good time" for her during that, I think I've done it too soon. Now she has changed her Facebook wall to "add friend" Im wondering if I can add her? I've been worried about her, she said to me that she felt bad for not responding to anybody and feeling neglectful b/c of it, i think the loss of her husband had something to do w/ all this. We've been best friends for years, before she was married. I know her husband as well. Anyway, Saturday night we decided to go dancing, and had a really good time. We walked to her car, and she gave me a lift to mine, as we weren't parked in the same area. When we got in, she told me she had had a wonderful time. I replied in kind, and told her I wouldn't want to go dancing with anyone else. Then to my surprised she leaned over and kissed me rather passionately. She drove me back to my car, and we said goodnight. But ever since she kissed me, I can't stop thinking about it. And when we talked yesterday, she told me that it was on her mind too. Years ago I had a huge crush on her, but never did anything because I didn't think I was good enough for her, so i resigned myself to beibg her friend; especially because she's married now. So I was shocked when she kissed me. And now, I honestly don't what to think. It's like after what happened, my perspective has changed. I never expected any of this, nor did I ask for it. I never wanted to cause any problems between us, or for her and her husband. I don't want to be a home-wrecker! She turns into a bossy person, gets extremely aggressive and annoying/obnoxious and loud. She will order me around, barely acknowledge what I'm saying, ignore me, and just in general treats me with disrespect. Even our friends have commented on the way she treats me when we all hang out. But when it's just me and her, she is a different person and treats me with respect and all is normal and lovey dovey. I don't really understand it. TLDR: It's like she's a different person around our friends. Alone with me and her, she is nice and even toned, easy to talk to, but in front of her friends, she just gets extremely loud and obnoxious, emotional, says things she shouldn't say, loses her morals and judgement, etc. It's like Jeckel/Hyde type of transformation. He's 26 & came here to do residency for a surgery program. I am 21. When he first moved here, we met for the 1st time at my grandparent's home. While there, he asked 4 my # and txted me about seeing each other again. We mutually made plans 4 dinner & hookah. We classified it as "let's hang out" through txt I thought it would be right if I offer to pay. I offered several times but he constantly denied & he paid. A month later I saw him again at my gpats home. He texted me the next morning that he wants to hang soon. He asked what Id like to do and I said "we could get lunch?" And he said "sounds perfect! Saturday?" I again felt bad allowing him 2 pay bcuz we've classified these as a "date". I offered to pay & he kept denying it. So I said "no,I want it to be even! You covered the last one, so let me get this one!" After denying,he finally said "Fine,let's just split it then?" I accepted. Since he's here to become a surgeon, he's mentioned before how hes afraid to get into a relationship bcuz he feels girls may only want to use him or get w/ him bcuz he will be very rich once he graduates. I genuinely have feeling for him & enjoy his company. I also wasn't sure how i can show him I'm not into him for his money. I thought offering to pay could kind-of help show that. (This last email even contained an offer to forward me a long, boring email detailing his fabulousness that he sent to some famous person! I know some will say then why be friends with him, but I am realizing that if you burn bridges with everyone with these type of faults, you will soon be on a deserted island! How can I have the intention of, "I'm fine, thanks for asking" without sounding like a snot, or some other more wise and healthy way of answering? We had a class in the past 2 days where we had to work together in groups. There was a lady (she s the only one from my home country) in the same group that i am in. When it was time to do a project together she was showing a rude but silent reaction and i mainly felt it with me more than others. She wanted to dominate during group projects but other mates noticed it and reacted on the spot. I feel that she likes rejecting me as if im not part of the group and i guess it is bcoz im way prettier that her and im almost a good friend with everybody. I told my husband that she is irritating me in class and being with her in group activities wont be a good deal. So what do u guys sugest about her and how should i handle it? Thanks. |

She's my only friend, yet she has others and i'm okay with that, but when we are around each other all she does is talk about her other friends, or will just sit there and text them. Every time we do hang out she never wants to get off her phone. Also i try to call her or text her and she never answers or calls back until at least a couple of hours later, and i know she always has her phone because she never is without it. Does she just not want to talk to me? When i'm going through things i try to call and as usual she won't answer. Yet every time shes going through anything she will call me and yes i answer. And i talk to her and i help her get through it, i'm always there for her. I was there for her when her dad died and even when she told people she is bi and i supported her through everything. Also when she does answer the phone She'll just hang up out of no where i would still be talking and realize she hung up then she calls back later like nothing. and she refuses to let me meet her other friends because she says they are annoying and i can't help but wonder weather or not she talks about me like that to them. I can't help but think that maybe it's my fault that don't do anything interesting enough, or that there's something that i should be doing to save our friendship. P.S: sorry for the errors. |

I always ask her if she is ok, and try to help her if she has a problem. I have a feeling she does not give a f*ck about me. For example, we go to the same school, and I try talking to her, and she just ignores me. I try making jokes and stuff, and I always ask her how her day is or how she feels. Just ignored. But when another guy in our class comes, all of a sudden she is talking to him and ****. It really hurts me that my only friend does not give a f*ck about me. Am I doing something wrong? |

Posted: 06 Feb 2017 03:30 AM PST I remembered my former friend I've never met in person whom I met off of Twitter was a very concerned friend. I closed the door on her once three years ago because I didn't like the fact she was looking after me when I got back together with my ex-boyfriend when I shouldn't have told her. When I accidentally put my foot in my mouth and tell her about my business and then tell her more, she gets too involved. Why 3 years later after I closed the door on her did she decide to open up a Facebook account and send me a friend request? When we did reconnect, I again accidentally told her about my business and again she kept looking after me. I then unfriended and blocked her from Facebook because I thought it was a mistake. A year and a half later, I unblocked her and sent her this email, "Hey girl! I know it's been awhile since we crossed paths. Anyways, I don't need motherly advice from you. Whatever you're up to, I hope you're well." She never responded to the email and don't expect her to, but why didn't she block me from Facebook after sending me that message. What would happen if I send her a friend request? Will she accept it or ignore it? Do any of you think she still cares for me and possibility is concerned for me? I'm curious to know. |

"I'm not enough." "It's me not you." cards if it has to do with her actions. She'll use that every time I confront her about something that's bothering me. I don't blame her for everything neither do I confront her a lot. I mess up sometimes to; however, when it's clearly something she shouldn't have done she tries to make me feel guilty by saying this. Neither of us are perfect but I need something new to say to her replies. Any help? |

And I was excited at the idea that we'd be able to start studying together. But every single time she wants to "study" she has more people come and just talks, she tries to talk to me the whole time with her books closed, or she decided to sleep or do it later. I have ADD and I'm also taking more classes. I need to study alone. Every time I turn down plans because I need to study she gets upset or hurt. And I've tried to tell her it's because I just focus better alone. When I do thy she acts fine and then tells her family I have been ignoring her. I see her a few hours a day between classes twice a week at least. And I can't study then because she thinks it's time to relax. And when I try to study she doesn't stop trying to talk to me. I really don't know what to do to be more clear. I don't want to upset her but I can't let my grades slip since I really need to get into a good graduate school. As does she. Does anyone have any advice? |
| Question: My sister's friend is really weird? Posted: 05 Feb 2017 09:04 PM PST My 11 yr old sister invited her friend over last night for the FIRST time, and I'm guessing shes about the same age. Well, this kid is really freaking weird, so I need an explanation: For example, she would go in the bathroom, take a ****, and put the toilet paper in the garbage can (which is not weird but listen to this), BUT when she put it in there, she would get **** all over the garbage can and my mom would have to clean it up, and every single time, she did this and came out of the bathroom with a humongous grin. (Very, very creepy grin). The next morning, she did it again, but got pieces of **** on the floor. What the hell Ex 2, she would be around my family more than my sister, and my sister is just chill ok, and this one time, she was looking out the window, and said "Oh! RJ (my dog) scared me!" , to my mom...my dog was in my room. And she gave my mom a hug last night and the morning saying, "you're my second mom!" (WE barely know her) Ex 3, she randomly came in my room while I was playing video games and asked what I was doing and then said she was just checking on me, pet my dog, and left. This sounds like some pschosiopath ****. I understand if you're shy, have anxiety issues, or just awkward...but this was just weird. |

Posted: 05 Feb 2017 08:39 PM PST Some months ago, a friend asked me for $2k-$3k for some ("community") training that could be helpful in him getting a temporary/unpaid job. At the time, I had various problems with my car needing repairs (I use the car to get to work, to take Dad to the doctor's, etc) and the fridge needed to be replaced... and I had some other decent expenses that needed to be paid for the sake of the household, including some medical bills, etc. I explained all this to my friend and he complained that I should be helping him get this training... and he sort-of mumbled to himself and the whole thing was forgotten... until one day last week. Then he said if only I had given him the money, him life would be much better... I reminded him of the situation I was in at the time... and I asked if he expected me to take out a loan, for example and to give him the money... and he sort-of mumbled "yes"... Now, I'm wondering.. this sort of feels like a bit of a manipulation thing going on... to try and guilt me out... but is it fair to have to choose between the welfare of my household and this fellow's resentment/anger? It wasn't such a big deal 'coz he didn't "disown" me or anything... OR maybe there's enough otherwise between us that he still wants to keep the friendship going... or maybe he's able to see more ways to use me up, I dunno... Friends and money always seem to be a bit troublesome, I think... Curious to read your thoughts, please. |

Posted: 05 Feb 2017 08:34 PM PST My boyfriend has a friend who HAS NO OTHER FRIENDS, and for good reason - at age 23, she s self-centered, argumentative, and full of excuses for not getting anywhere in life. He s a very nice person, so he often ends up with those friend that no one else wants, because he s too kind to turn them away. It s been about 2 years, and I ve learned to tolerate her personality, but I feel a line was crossed when she stayed the night a few months ago, and we had bedbugs in our couch the next morning. We threw the couch away, spent $100 on another one, and I asked my boyfriend not to bring her over anymore. He DID bring her over again, just for a couple of hours, but the next day, my new couch had bedbugs! It s currently covered in insecticide powder and a plastic couch cover (which cost $35). Now my boyfriend is asking if he can bring her over AGAIN to use our computer for job applications, since she has no computer, and I get the feeling he s resentful that I m so judgmental of her. I understand that she doesn t have the resources to get ahead in life, but after two very expensive bedbug infestations (an a very uncomfortable itchy summer), I m having trouble figuring out how to be nice to this girl. Where do I draw the line? How do I turn her down without making her feel awful about herself? How do I explain this to my boyfriend without making him think I m a heartless terrible person? |

I can't stop crying and I feel like somebody just stabbed me in the chest. Seeing as I've never liked anybody in my entire life as much as I liked him (he was basically my "first love") I feel like I'm never going to get over him or find someone else who I like that much. And to make matters even worse, we go to the same college and he's in 3 of my classes so I can't get over him just by never seeing him. We've talked many times and although we're not in the same friendship groups we're friendly with each other, but he has just never expressed any interest in me romantically or sexually which is why I decided not to humiliate myself and tell him I liked him. We live far from each other so we stay in contact through texting and phone calls all though that can become hard with our busy lives so we stay in contact through social media on a daily. We always blow each others fb up with notifications and "likes", were always sharing encouraging photos on each other's wall, we'll call and check on each other once in a while. It's a daily thing. Casey posted a sad post last weekend that said "I'm done.." and it bothered me. I noticed she hasn't gotten on or shown any activity on fb in a week. Should I be concerned? Would you be worried if this was your close friend? |
