Question: Staying with family on honeymoon? Posted: 12 Feb 2017 11:12 AM PST Okay- long story but I ll keep it short. We are a young couple 20 and 21 currently in the process of buying our first house and in the middle of planning our wedding. The day after we are getting married we are going to Florida- will stay in a hotel one night then a four night cruise. Afterwards we have two options: go home or stay an extra 5 days in Disney with my parents in their rental. Do you think it s weird to stay with family during your honeymoon? Originally we were supposed to stay a week alone after our cruise but after deciding to buy a house our financial situation has changed. What would you do? |

Question: Should I still go to her wedding? Posted: 12 Feb 2017 08:02 AM PST My old friend from school messaged me a couple of months ago saying she wanted me to go to her hen do and wedding as a guest. She told me to txt one of the bridesmaids who is also a good old friend of mine about hen do details. Then neither of them even got back to me. The week before the hen do the bride finally messages me back saying she's been really busy but I've seen all over Facebook she's been meeting up with the others and left me out. I'm sorry but it takes 30 seconds to send me a text! I told her the bridesmaid never got back to me and she just said "that's pretty rubbish, she sent the invitations out ages ago tbh..." so I feel I've been deliberately left out. I've unticked to go to her wedding now on Facebook and she's just txt me saying "why aren't you coming anymore?" I don't really know what to say but I don't really want to go to something where I am basically going just to make up the numbers. I feel they all don't like me anyway. What should I do? |
Question: Can any ring be an engagement ring? Posted: 12 Feb 2017 07:48 AM PST My boyfriend asked me to pick a ring from the H Samuel catalogue that I liked the most from a selection and he bought me the ring a few months later and asked me to marry him. I said yes. I know it only cost £100 and I don't mind this. We have a mortgage and money is tight. We don't have great jobs I'm just a dental nurse, one of the dentists at work said she thought £13,000 was cheap for an engagement ring these days... I think she was hinting my ring is rubbish (even though I didn't actually tell her how much it cost) is there meant to be a set amount that should be spent on a ring to make it engagement worthy? I know we will never have 13k spare that's for sure! I would just like to hear others opinions. |
Question: Five months to get a wedding dress from Davids Bridal? Posted: 12 Feb 2017 03:00 AM PST Hey everyone! My fiancé and I are having a our destination wedding on August 19th, we fly out on the 15th. I am having a very simple wedding with only two guests, I m not very big into celebrations and honestly care more about the honeymoon then the actual wedding. I planned on getting a dress in a few weeks when my taxes come in. I m going to David s Bridal to look around. I don t plan on getting anything by Vera Wang or any particular designer. Does anyone know how long it takes for dresses to arrive at David s Bridal? Or what my odds are of getting it off the rack? |
Question: What happens at a wedding during this situation? Posted: 12 Feb 2017 01:38 AM PST During the reception, its tradition, at least in my area, for the groom to dance with his mother after the bride dances with her father. Anyways, what would happen if the groom s mother died before the wedding? Who would fill her niche? Or will they just omit it? Please tell me what happens. |
