Question: What if we don't want wedding presents? Posted: 22 Feb 2017 08:28 PM PST I'm getting married next month. I'm 44 and my fiancé is 40. We've been dating for 7 years and living together for 2. People are starting to ask us where we're registered, which we're not. We don't need ANYTHING. We have too much crap as it is. The problem is, some people are not taking no for an answer, insisting they want to get us something. I'd like to tell them "Just give us $20 to buy a round of drinks on the honeymoon" but I'm sure that's in poor taste. What should we tell people. We really don't want anything, and I really don't want people spending their money on stuff we don't want. |
Posted: 22 Feb 2017 07:07 PM PST I don't believe in that and if anything it can most likely ruin weddings |
Question: Is a bachelors and bachelorett party required before a wedding? Posted: 22 Feb 2017 06:44 PM PST I plan on proposing next year and her and I have talked about it for sometime. Obviously she is going to want a wedding but I will be damned if she gets wasted and knocked up by some dude at her party before marrying me or someone slips something in my drink. I want it straight forward and if those parties have to happen before the ceremony then I am not doing the wedding. I am just going straight to court after proposing |
Question: What type of location would you like for your engagement photos? Posted: 22 Feb 2017 06:19 PM PST Even if you're not engaged or planning a wedding, you can still comment. Some like photos at the beach, parks, or more artistic spots like this photo. |
Question: Is it true that the best man always screws one of the bridesmaids? Posted: 22 Feb 2017 04:08 PM PST Ours did and I am so mad my husband laughs and says it's a tradition! |
Question: What month would you want to get married on and why? Posted: 22 Feb 2017 02:10 PM PST There are popular months for weddings but it seems that things are changing and any month is a good one. |
Question: Too scared to do MOH speech? Posted: 22 Feb 2017 11:10 AM PST I am my sister's maid of honor. I am so proud of her and happy for them and I wish I could do a speech, I even think I could probably write a good one, but I just can't speak in front of people. Once my brother and I started a little club, just within our family, that involved once a week one of us doing a super simple presentation. Again this was just for fun and just my parents and siblings were watching, yet I was red-faced and couldn't make eye contact the whole time. I don't want to subject all the wedding guests to that! lol Should I just tell my sister I can't do it? |
Question: Is it okay that I don't want my mother at my wedding? Posted: 22 Feb 2017 06:46 AM PST I don't really have a great relationship with my mother, she cheated on my dad and left when I was 8. I'm 24 and she's hasn't really been there for me when I've needed her, and I'm mad at her for trying to act like a parent now that I'm all grown up and can take care of myself. I feel like people expect me to invite her to my wedding because she's my mother but I don't want her there because I feel like she's gonna ruin my big day. The thought of having to invite her to my wedding makes me not want to have a wedding at all |
